Memphis May Fire Share "Overdose" Video

MEMPHIS MAY FIRE  Matty Mullins (vocals), Kellen McGregor (guitar), Cory Elder (bass), and Jake Garland (drums) — spent much of 2024 dropping brand new singles, each of which was more incendiary than the next. At the end of the year, they announced their new album SHAPESHIFTER, which arrives March 28 via longtime label Rise Records. Pre-order it here.

They have just shared the video for the new song "Overdose." It features a guest appliance from Blindside vocalist Christian Lindskog. Watch it below

"'Overdose' is about the intoxicating nature of extremes — how easy it is to get addicted to the highs of life, no matter the consequences," Mullins explains. "It's a song for anyone who's ever pushed boundaries too far, chased the rush, and grappled with the fallout. Christian Lindskog has always been a bucket list guest vocalist for me and it's an absolute honor to have his iconic style gracing this track."

MMF have also announced a headline tour for Spring 2025, with support from Caskets, Wind Walkers, and Elijah. The tour kicks off April 16 in Little Rock and runs through May 17 in Atlanta. It includes appearances at several key spring festivals, such as Sonic Temple and Welcome to Rockville. All dates are below. Get tickets here

Teen Metal Band Chained Saint Share "Stronger Than Stone (Blindside)" Official Music Video

Teen metal band CHAINED SAINT — comprised of four high school students:  Ethan Kahn (17, guitar), Sebastian De Avila (18, bass), Cameron Cottrell (19, drums) and Sean Sterling (18, vocals) —  have shared the official music video for "Stronger Than Stone (Blindside)." Watch the video for the neo thrash anthem below.

Born in a South Florida garage back in the summer of 2022, Chained Saint's recently released debut album, Blindside, combines the raw, organic riffery of the best old-school '80s thrash metal with a dash of modern-day brutality befitting the many challenges confronting the youth of 2024. The past and present collide, resulting in modern, metallic maelstrom made by a bunch of kids who play with fire in their veins — and their hands! Blindside, produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains, focuses that fury into a powerfully concise, eight-song LP. The album was recorded and mixed to analog tape with no computers involved whatsoever in the recording sessions. No AI. No studio trickery. No bullshit. Just real riffs made by real players.

In just a few short months, the band has been tipped by Revolver, Guitar World, Loudwire, and Judas Priest legend Rob Halford for their chops. SiriusXM's Liquid Metal recently started playing the band, as well.

Additionally, Chained Saint's debut single "Animosity" is the theme song for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer that was released on September 18.

"What we wanted with 'Stronger Than Stone (Blindside)' was a good lyric for people to mosh, stagedive, dogpile, and just have a healthy, bonding good time," the band explains. "It's about the crazy times we're living in and it's about our band, like many others, having to rebuild itself after being blindsided having to face some adversity early on."

DuVall weighed in, saying, "'Stronger Than Stone (Blindside)' is truly one of my favorites. It was the newest piece of music the band had so it took a minute to bring together all the elements the song needed. It was the very last song completed. But, in the end, something really dynamic and powerful was captured that I believe will connect with a lot of people."

TEEN METAL BAND WITH MAJOR CHOPS TO RELEASE WILLIAM DUVALL-PRODUCED DEBUT ALBUM BLINDSIDE ON AUGUST 23

Born in a South Florida garage back in the summer of 2022, Chained Saint's forthcoming debut album, Blindside, combines the raw, organic riffery of the best old-school '80s thrash metal with a dash of modern-day brutality befitting the many challenges confronting the youth of 2024. The past and present collide, resulting in modern, metallic maelstrom made by a bunch of kids who play with fire in their veins — and their hands!

Comprised of four high school students — Ethan Kahn (17, guitar), Sebastian De Avila (18, bass), Cameron Cottrell (19, drums) and Sean Sterling (18, vocals) — Chained Saint represent the latest generation pushing back with justifiable fury against the harsh realities of an unforgiving world.

Today, they share the new single "Stronger Than Stone (Blinside)."

The band emerged with its debut single and video "Animosity," which premiered over at Chorus.FM. Watch it here and here.

The end result is a ferocious set of performances that maintain the essential "tight-but-loose" naturalness of four musicians bashing it out in the same room together — a quality too often lacking in today’s digitally-driven musical landscape.
