Modern metal outfit SIAMESE just dropped their brand new single "nevermore," answering the calls of their fanbase. Initially featured as an exclusive track on the physical edition of their new studio album dissolution, released June 26 via Long Branch Records, "nevermore" is now available across all streaming platforms. Listen below.
Vocalist Mirza Radonjica offers insight into the highly relatable story behind the song, saying, "'nevermore' is about realizing that what looked like passion was actually conflict addiction. Some people don't fall in love with you, they fall in love with the chaos you bring into their story. The dramas and the war. The mythology they get to build around themselves by breaking someone else."
'nevermore' pushes the signature SIAMESE sound to the next level, blending heavy metalcore intensity with a catchy alt-metal chorus and wild EDM elements. Following a recent U.S. headline tour and mainstage appearances at festivals like Vainstream and Impericon, the Danish band will be hitting the road across the EU and UK this winter alongside DAYSEEKER and NORTHLANE.
Following Home (2021) and Elements (2024), over 100 million streams, and global tours with some of the biggest acts in the world —including KORN, COREY TAYLOR, and DAYSEEKE R— dissolution is the album SIAMESE never planned to make, but ultimately had to. It marks the band's most personal release to date. Written during a period defined by the departure of one of their primary songwriters, the record forced the band into a fundamental reset of their processes and intentions. With dissolution, SIAMESE evolved from a songwriting camp into a true, cohesive unit. The result is a sound heavier than anything SIAMESE have ever released: <ore instinctual, aggressive, and introverted. At the core of dissolution lies a deeply complicated father-son relationship.
The album represents the most comprehensive body of work SIAMESE has crafted so far. Throughout the creative process, the band collaborated with a tight circle of trusted contributors — including Zachary Baker, Mads Zelasny, Zach Jones, KJ Strock, and Paul Spirou. Each brought fresh perspectives to the table without compromising the core identity of the record.
Siamese will tour the EU and UK later this year, in support of DAYSEEKER + NORTHLANE.
