Heavy music is entering a new era where genres and even languages no longer need to stay separated.
Producer and composer Chris Anger pushes further beyond genre limitations with “One More Day” — the explosive new Nothing Forever single featuring legendary pioneers (hed)p.e., Mexico’s hard-hitting Ladrones, and Tahmell, the rising son of hip-hop icon Rakim.
“One More Day” channels the rebellious spirit that made (hed)p.e.’s self-titled 1997 debut a landmark release, evolving that same dangerous energy into something modern and cultural. Through its blend of English and Spanish vocals, the song further breaks cultural and musical boundaries.
The release arrives at a pivotal moment for Ladrones, whose recent Rise Records single “Ay Ay Ay” has continued building momentum around the band’s rapidly growing “Flow Pesado” movement, which is a hybrid sound blending metal, hip-hop, and Latin influence into something entirely their own.
At the same time, Tahmel continues carving his own lane while carrying the legacy of one of hip-hop’s most respected bloodlines. Rather than leaning on nostalgia, “One More Day” intentionally weaponizes multiple generations of influence into one aggressive modern statement.
“For me, the excitement came from blending legacy with evolution. Jahred (singer of (hed)p.e.) represents a sound that influenced an entire generation –myself included, while Ladrones and Tahmel represent where genre-colliding music is heading now," says Chris Anger (Producer).
The song also continues Nothing Forever’s mission of rejecting algorithmic sameness and rebuilding the feeling that music once had when underground movements evolved naturally and records felt rebellious and experimental.
Anger’s career spans decades across multiple genres, with credits and collaborations connected to Wyclef Jean, Ill Niño, Ray Luzier (Korn), Sonny Sandoval (P.O.D.), CHNNR, Wu-Tang affiliates, Sleepy Hallow and more. His body of work collectively spans over 100 million streams across various releases and collaborations and he’s just scratching the surface in heavy music.
With Nothing Forever’s album Noise Tape 01, Anger is attempting to bring unpredictability back into heavy music culture… oh and yea that’s his real last name.
