ATAVISTIA immerse themselves in enthralling realms inspired by folk textures and arrangements in the new full length, Old Gods Awaken, released via Blood Blast Distribution. The album arrives alongside a lyric video for their track, "Ride The White Storm".
"Ride The White Storm" delivers ATAVISTIA's signature style. It appears later in the track list on Old Gods Awaken to allow the band's more experimental compositions to take the lead. "Ride The White Storm" makes it clear that ATAVISTIA have not abandoned their established sound so many long-time listeners connect with, instead it sits alongside their creative evolution.
A dramatic flurry of orchestral layers, highly melodic and intricate guitar leads, ferocious blast beats and monstrous harsh vocals collide in "Ride The White Storm". Clean vocal harmonies and technical guitars intertwine and soar across the intense textural arrangement that progresses beneath.
The new album Old Gods Awaken showcases ATAVISTIA’s most folk-inspired material to date. Featuring shorter, catchier, and more direct compositions, the record reflects the band’s evolving creative direction while staying rooted in their signature sound. Drawing influence from folk metal, black metal, and a wide spectrum of styles in between, the album captures the band’s commitment to following inspiration wherever it leads.
Known for their fluid approach to genre and songwriting, ATAVISTIA continues to push boundaries while maintaining the essence that defines them.
