Over the past two decades, Kingcrow have flown to the forefront of progressive rock. But on their newly released eighth album, the Italian band soar to even greater heights.

"Hopium still maintains the crazy, progressive character so common to Kingcrow's sound", Angry Metal Guy writes, "but it's more controlled and focused - each song lending a hand to a seamless flow".

To celebrate last week's release of Hopium, Kingcrow are sharing a full band playthrough of new fan-favorite "Glitch". The song is a perfectly funky synthesis of the band's eclectic influences, fusing the catchy, off-kilter rhythms of progressive rock with ambient synths, alternative guitar hooks and even some metal theatrics. Describing the band today is quite a difficult task, but one could state that the influence of different kinds of music, from progressive rock , ambient music, alternative rock and metal are all present in the music of KINGCROW.

With each release KINGCROW has taken a step further away from their original roots and is regarded today as one of the most exciting bands that Italy has to offer.
