Metalcore legends We Came As Romans have released their long-awaited new album 'Darkbloom' via Sharptone Records. In celebration of today's release, the band also has shared the visualizer for the track "One More Day". Speaking on today's news, guitarist Joshua Moore shares:

"We’re so excited to finally be able to share Darkbloom with the world. After what felt like an eternity, we get to share these songs with all those who supported us through the hardest time of our lives. We wrote this record about our grieving process after we lost Kyle four years ago - all the emotions we felt, and how we found a way to move forward. This entire record is dedicated to Kyle - he’ll always be a part of our band. We hope you love these songs as much as we do."

Off the heels of being named SiriusXM’s newest “Highway Find” early last month, rising singer-songwriter and Indiana native Chase Wright continues the momentum of a breakthrough year with the release of his latest track “Hurt No More.”

Written by Kane Brown, Jeremy Bussey, Ben Johnson, Taylor Philips and Wright, “Hurt No More” details the inner turmoil of longing for a past love, while simultaneously acknowledging its toxic effects. Wright, dubbed a 2022 Artist to Watch by Spotify, takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster, toggling the line between self-destruction and self-preservation.

“Getting out of toxic relationships has always been hard for me, so I wanted to write a song that shows the other side of that goodbye. In “Hurt No More” the subject of the song is finally calling it quits to their toxic back and forth. I hope this song empowers, and inspires listeners to do the same.”

After being discovered posting covers on Instagram, then ASCAP executive Robert Filhart invited Wright to Music City for an ASCAP songwriters’ workshop where he met many of his future collaborators. He began making monthly trips to town to write and eventually would sign his first publishing deal with Toby and Molly Music before graduating from college. The finance major would go on to sign with Filhart and Clint Higham at Morris Higham for management. From Instagram to life on the road, Wright spent 2021 on a 12-city headlining trek for Tin Roof’s “Nashville Hit the Roof” Series. He kicked off a headlining run of shows on Sept. 30 in Bristol, Tenn. which continues through next month.

The artist Billboard noted “continues to impress with original material” released debut album Intertwined last year. Produced by Jared Keim and Zach Abend, tracks like “Lying With You,” which has been getting airplay on SiriusXM The Highway’s On The Horizon show, “Hangin’ On” and “What She Sees In Me” join fan-favorites on the album, including “Why Should We,” Wright’s debut single “My Kinda Morning” which MusicRow celebrated for its “melodies wrapped in spacious production, and rap-inspired cadences,” “Wish You’d Miss Me” that Country Now called “the quintessential heartbreak ballad” and “Drive” which led Sounds Like Nashville to implore listeners to “get in early with…this promising young artist.”

Relentlessly spinning, the wheel of the year is turning towards darker days, the world is preparing for cold and deprivation. Long forgotten spirits arise from fog, heralding the 'Exile Of The Gods'.

Today, Swiss metal legends ELUVEITIE release their new single, capturing the desperate, doomy mood of a world that the Gods abandoned long ago.

"What have we done? Our hands stained with their blood," singer Fabienne Erni chants, supported by heavy riffs and soaring melodies.

Founding member Chrigel Glanzmann comments:

"We are very excited to share our new single 'Exile Of The Gods’ with you - after 'Aidus' the 'second page' in Eluveitie's next chapter.

Our current path leads us way back in time. And back to the present! Our new song cycle is all based on a very old mythic text - the hermetic lament. Although it didn’t originate from Celtic culture, we know today that its words were taken on, assimilated, and taught by the Celtic druids henceforth. In the interpretatio celtae it's teachings were ascribed to the tricephalic Celtic god Lugus.

This ancient text contains some kind of a prophecy which holds some very serious and important words for us modern people of today - even if we assume that it's not talking about our era (which personally I believe it does, though).

Among many other things that the lament of Lugus foretells: '...of thy faith nothing will remain but an empty tale, which thine own children in time to come will not believe; nothing will be left but graven words, and only the stones will tell of thy piety. For the gods - which once deigned to sojourn upon earth - will return from earth to Antumnos. The gods will depart from mankind, a grievous thing! The world will be left desolate, bereft of the presence of its deities.'

And this is, what our new single is dealing with!

However, that ancient text spells out clearly that we're not simply talking about some mythological, religious or spiritual matters here. For it also talks very clearly about the development of mankind’s relationship with mother earth in that context and points out very concrete actions of ours (today) and their consequences in and for nature, and thus ultimately for us.

And so, we are excited to share our brand-new song with you all! And we hope you like it as much as we do and that maybe you even can find some inspiration in it! Enjoy!"

Finnish Heavy Metal Group, Green King, Release New Single "Where Speedian Dwells"

Today, Finland’s Green King launch the single, "Where Speedian Dwells". The single tells the true story of Green King kicking violent nationalists out of their rehearsal space. A true heavy metal attack, "Where Speedian Dwells” offers thrilling guitar harmonies, chugging riffs, and gutsy vocals communicating a strong anti-nationalist message.

The single is the second one leading up to Green King’s debut album, 'Hidden Beyond Time', which will be released on The Sign Records on the 16th of December.

'Hidden Beyond Time' is the debut album by Finnish heavy metal group Green King.

Inspired by many subgenres of heavy music, 'Hidden Beyond Time' moves from hard hitting cuts fueled by chugging, galloping riffs that brings to mind the great metal era of the 70/80s. Relentless, stoner metal infused adrenaline shots move to more mellow, experimental tracks featuring folk inspired melodies.

With traditional heavy metal at its heart and core, 'Hidden Beyond Time' sits on a foundation made of melodic dual guitar arrangements, gritty vocals and occult, mystical lyrics. This is a 34-minute-long heavy metal experience that showcases the dynamic nature of this Finnish four piece.

The album was recorded at Beach House rehearsal studio and at Dullas sauna cabin during the year 2020. Mixed by Sakke Vänttinen at Rock Alley Studio. 'Hidden Beyond Time' will be released on The Sign Records December 16th.

The album will be released on vinyl, CD, and all streaming platforms. 

Biography:

Formed in Helsinki, Finland, as a side project to play heavy stoner music, Green Kingquickly developed their style into a more traditional style of heavy metal.

Drawing influences from vast history of heavy metal, Green King fills their songs with monumental riffs and colossal guitar harmonies. They have made their mark on Finnish metal underground by playing fierce live shows filled with musical mojo and speedy guitar solos.

Their first EP 'Rock Alley Tapes' was released in early 2022, and it brought the band attention around Europe.

Green King's members have long been part of the Finnish music scene, playing in bands such as Black Lizard, Rokets, United Seafood and Rusty Triggers.

Chase Rice Takes Fans to the Wild West With "Way Down Yonder," Out Now

As teased earlier this week by multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Chase Rice, his outlaw anthem “Way Down Yonder” is available everywhere now along with an accompanying Wild West-style music video. Today’s release showcases a rugged new sound previewing Rice’s next musical era, which will be on full display via a forthcoming album. “When we wrote this song, I had the mountains of North Carolina where I grew up in mind; all the moonshining history there in the Appalachians,” recalls Rice. “Then all of a sudden during the recording process, Rob McNelley started playing this crazy carnival sound on the acoustic… and it got Western quick. That turned it from a song I didn’t think was even going to make the cut for this next album into one of my favorite songs on the project.”

Rice will celebrate the release with an appearance on SiriusXM The Highway’s “Music Row Happy Hour” this afternoon before heading to Bridgestone Arena to kick off the night’s Rock N’ Roll Cowboy tour stop. Fans can also stop by the Bridgestone Plaza all day for a special “Way Down Yonder” time period photo experience – with the chance that Rice himself will make an appearance at the activation during their photoshoot.

The photo experience embodies the Western influence of the song’s official music video, which was shot in a single take as a time period piece at Fort Worth’s Stockyards National Historic District as showcased exclusively by Entertainment Tonight HERE.

Written by Rice together with Hunter Phelps, John Byron, Blake Pendergrass and Corey Crowder during a writing retreat in Florida that also produced recent release “Key West & Colorado,” “Way Down Yonder” is the latest preview of his forthcoming album, painting a vivid picture of hardworking characters living beyond the confines of the law:

The shift in setting suited the set of more vulnerable, personal music from the man Billboard celebrates as “having storytelling details tumble from his lips, his portraits created quickly and efficiently,” with CMT noting, “The vocalist worked day in and day out to find the courage to knock down the wall he had kept up his entire career. Once he demolished the barricade holding him back, he left his heart and soul on the writing table.”

Seattle-based psychedelic rock outfit Black Nite Crash present their new album 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash', released via American boutique label Neon Sigh, which was mixed by longtime collaborator Matt Brown (Trespassers William) and mastered by Adam Straney.

Black Nite Crash is Jim Biggs (vocals, guitar), John Parker (bass), James Stone(guitar), Tony Zuniga (drums) and Claire Tucker (guitar/vocals). Formed twenty years ago, Black Nite Crash has involved more than 30 members over the years, surrounding Jim Biggs, the last remaining original member. Yet somehow, the band has maintained a coherent sound and vision.

Presenting the most diverse set of songs the band has ever released, this album combines their trademark fuzzed out guitars with some newer flavours, like the pulsating noir of first single 'The Take', the post-baggy groove of 'Stupid Games' or the surging post-punk energy of 'Sugarwave'.

Work on the 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash' LP began before the pandemic, the songs a reflection of a band finding its feet again, with (then) relatively new members Claire Tucker and Sharim Johnson putting their imprint on this batch of songs. Then lockdowns began before tracking could be completed.

"This is the band's fifth full length in nearly twenty years of existence, and it looks to be the start of a period of more frequent releases as we work through our backlog of unreleased recorded songs, not to mention the surplus of new material we're working on even now," says Jim Biggs.

"As to the music, I've long been a proponent of the idea that all rock music should only be about god, girls and drugs (or god, boys, and drinking, or any combination of those themes, really), but it's hard to look at the state of the nation and the state of the world and not say a thing or two about it, specifically on 'NY Animal' and 'Stupid Games'. In the past, I've often kept my writing close to autobiographical ('Failure' is very much reflective of my own navel-gazing), but Claire Tucker (guitarist/singer) has influenced me to branch out into more storyteller-type songs with first single 'The Take' a prime example of that."

On October 14, the 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash' LP will be available everywhere online, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. They will hold their album release show at The Six in Portland on November 5 and also play the Sunset Tavern on December 16/17 for Seattle's Tremolo Festival.

Walker Hayes Teams Up With Pop Superstar Ciara on "Y'all Life," Out Now

Duo to Perform the Track for the First Time Tonight on
CMT’s Artist of the Year Celebration

Monument Records' singer/songwriter and country music sensation Walker Hayes enlists GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter and superstar Ciara for a special version of his current single “Y’all Life.” The irresistible track adds a new layer of excitement as Ciara chimes in with a verse of her own. “Y’all Life” is a quintessential song about the easy-going, loosened-up way of life in the south. Originally released in August, the track was Hayes’ highest streaming debut to date – no small feat for an artist that has accumulated over a billon career streams and had the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for over six months last year.

After kicking off his headlining arena tour this fall, Hayes began playing “Y’all Life” to sold-out crowds across the country. A crowd favorite, he quickly realized how much fun it would be to add a second voice to the track, one who could offer another perspective on growing up in the south. Having met pop superstar Ciara last year while performing on Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve, he knew he had to collaborate with her someday.

The GRAMMY-Award winning singer/songwriter, originally from Texas, knows the importance of Football and Jesus in the south. On the track she sings “it ain’t nothin better than them Sunday night lights every night,” while adding her impeccable vocals to the chorus that sings “livin’ that y’all life, y’all’ rollin’ in the south where it’s all football and Jesus.”

Live in the Galaxy will be available for the first time as a 180 gram vinyl double album that comes with a bonus 7” vinyl. Following the success of their previous #1 charting album, 'Memento Mori', the hottest German band in folk rock to date are back to flabbergast their fans with the spectacular covers album, 'Todsünden', to be released December 30, 2022 – exactly one year after the release of 'Memento Mori' – via Napalm Records. The album consists of two completely new songs, as well as the cover bonus tracks from their last two studio albums.

With their newest offering, they present an official music video for “Blinding Lights” – one of the biggest pop songs of the current decade by The Weeknd. Effortlessly combining their own style with the hot 80s revival sound of the 2020s, the song and video compare to a mischievous club night at the tavern. This exciting ride starts off with a cover of Swedish pop legends ABBA.

FEUERSCHWANZ give their world-famous song “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” a folk-rock vibe with a gloomy but still uplifting atmosphere bursting into heavy riffing and drumming. Another pop-tinged rock song of legend is covered with Europe‘s “The Final Countdown”, but the album also features current highlights like “Blinding Lights", Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” and “Ding” by Seed featuring Ad Infinitum’s Melissa Bonny.

The Grand Ole Opry has announced its second annual Opry NextStage Live In Concert, presented by Geico, that showcases some of country music’s top rising stars who have been a part of the NextStage artist discovery program. The Opry has also announced the latest and final member of the NextStage Class of 2022, viral country star, Nate Smith.

Smith will take the stage alongside other 2022 NextStage artists BRELAND, Restless Road, Elvie Shane and Conner Smith with special performances by NextStage alumnae Hailey Whitters and Priscilla Block, who will host the event. NextStage Live In Concert takes place on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Grand Ole Opry House. Tickets are available for sale at Opry.com on Friday, Oct. 14.

On being named the Opry NextStage artist of November and being part of the show, Smith remarks “I am thrilled and honored to be the Opry’s NextStage artist for November. They have spotlighted so many artists that I admire, and I can’t wait to share a stage with them next month! California native and Arista Nashville/Sony Music Nashville artist, Nate Smith, is carving his own path onto the country music genre. Featuring a mix of gritty backwoods soul, rock ‘n’ roll swagger and velvet-thunder vocals, Nate Smith is Sony Music Nashville’s latest signing whose personal journey inspired him to be a beacon of country-music hope, an inspirational mission he puts front-and-center. A California native, former worship leader, and lifelong music lover, Smith approaches that mission with a background as eclectic as it gets. Learning guitar at 13, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley and Bob Seger were among those informing his powerful, fire-from-within vocals, while Michael Jackson made him crave the spotlight and Nirvana gave his sound a jagged edge. CONSTELLATIA comments, "Paean Emerging is one of our favourite songs that we’ve written so far. It takes many twists and turns and touches on a few territories that we’d like to explore further. Following the end of Wildernessking’s career, Keenan Oakes had to continue making music, despite the difficulties of playing in a metal band in Cape Town, South Africa. Regardless, Oakes joined forces with Crow Black Sky’s Gideon Lamprecht in 2018 to create the musical entity known as CONSTELLATIA. Taken from the word ‘constellation’, CONSTELLATIA refers to the nature of existence and the natural world, the cosmos, and extracting meaning and happiness from it all. The band’s somber take on progressive black metal encapsulates inherently human subjects; a distillation of life’s meander, sadness and tribulations.

Inspired by artists such as Opeth, Mastodon, The Cure, Primordial, Neurosis, Wolves in the Throne Room, Pink Floyd, Beach House, Agalloch, Emperor and Cult of Luna, Constellatia imbue their stark musical landscape with ferocity and reverie.
