LORD OF THE LOST Releases Final Music Video of the JUDAS Era - “A World Where We Belong”!

The Highly Acclaimed Album is Available NOW!

Homecoming Tour of Europe

Kicks Off in Early October 2022

Only a few weeks after their European tour as support for the legendary Iron Maiden, LORD OF THE LOST are about to hit European stages again – this time on a full headline tour through nine countries, supported by label mates Nachtblut and Scarlet Dorn.

Today the band has released the final official video taken from their most successful studio album to date, JUDAS (2021, #2 Official German Album Charts).

The video for “A World Where We Belong” revisits the aesthetics from the very first video of the JUDAS cycle, The Death Of All Colors, and therewith perfectly closes this shining era of LORD OF THE LOST.

LORD OF THE LOST state:

"With 'A World Where We Belong', we visually close the JUDAS era as it began with 'A Death Of All Colours'. The dreariness of these videos involuntarily reflects the feeling in which JUDAS was released. It was pandemic times without concerts - everything looked gray and hopeless - quite in contrast to the outstanding success of this album! We would like to end this feeling with this last video and jump into our HOMECOMING TOUR with joy and passion! We are coming home, home to you on tour! And we are looking forward to it irrepressibly!"

THE NEW ROSES Release New Song “1st Time for Everything” & Official Video

There’s a 1st Time for Everything!

German rockers THE NEW ROSES have released a second single from their upcoming fifth studio album, 'Sweet Poison', out October 21, 2022 via Napalm Records.

The band delivers with 1st Time for Everything- a smooth sing-along hymn with catchy hooks that would make the likes of Bon Jovi proud!

After their previous record, 'Nothing but Wild', hit the Top 10 on the German album charts, the quartet went on to share stages with rock legends like the Scorpions, Saxonand Accept. This summer, they even had the chance to tour with genre giants KISS and were the first German band invited on the KISS Kruise!

'Sweet Poison' bottles this potent energy on record, convincing with authentic hard rock and enormous hit density. THE NEW ROSES are on the way to the top of rock!

THE NEW ROSES on the new song:

“’1st Time for Everything’ isn’t just a love song about two people. It’s a love song to Rock’n’Roll and to all the people that love this music. And we can’t wait to see you all and sing it together."

Watch the video for “1st Time for Everything”

THE NEW ROSES' latest effort, 'Sweet Poison', opens with the guitar-driven anthem "My Kinda Crazy," which kicks off the album in a worthy manner. In addition to rousing anthems, 'Sweet Poison' features authentically rocking Americana tracks like "Playing with Fire" and "Sweet Gloria". "Warpaint" is undoubtedly a massive track in which the band unleashes its intangible energy with hard guitar riffs and powerful drums, while "The Usual Suspects" and "1st Time for Everything" impress with their catchy choruses.

Tracks like "Dead of Night" build on a distinct melody and develop into strong stadium rock anthems. With songs like "All I Ever Needed", THE NEW ROSES also show their softer side. The strong mid-tempo rock ballad revives the atmosphere of Guns N' Roses' moving ballads, while front man Timmy Rough passionately presents the full range of his voice, which can also be heard impressively on the touching acoustic track "True Love".

'Sweet Poison' is an outstanding rock album with an impressive hit density, seeing the band outdo themselves again and again, reviving true 80s rock. Hold on tight, because THE NEW ROSES shift up a gear and take you on a journey to the horizon of Americanrock grandeur!

Timmy Rough on the new album:

When we recorded 'Sweet Poison', we took all the bad vibes, all our struggle and disappointments of the last two years and turned them into this incredibly positive, high energy Rock n' Roll album. We don’t bitch at all, we wanna move forward and take our audience along with us. We stayed on our musical path, in fact I’d say we even went back closer to our roots and added some more of our Blues and Southern spirit while still keeping the catchy melodies of our last records. But hey, talk is cheap, so turn it up and have some fun!"

Deströyer 666 Unveils New Album, Unleashes New Song + Music Video

Black thrash outlaws DESTRÖYER 666 will be releasing its sixth studio album, 'Never Surrender,' on December 2 via Season of Mist! The cover artwork, tracklist, and additional details can be found below! In addition, the band is now unleashing the pummeling first single, "Guillotine," along with an official music video. Watch and listen below.

'Never Surrender' can now be pre-ordered HERE.

DESTRÖYER 666 continue to do what they are best at: kicking ass and hammering out heavy metal that is slamming straight into the face. No compromise, no sell out, no bullshit!

DESTRÖYER 666 don’t do whiny nostalgia but simply stick to their old school roots, which are reaching straight down into the golden age of metal while allowing themselves to sound fresh and remain relevant. The band originally started out as a solo project of BESTIAL WARLUST guitarist KK in Australia in 1994. As early as with debut album ‘Unchain the Wolves’ (1997), fast-tracked towards international acclaim. The even stronger second full-length, ‘Phoenix Rising’ (2000) had the Australians relocating to Europe to be able to satisfy the soaring demand for touring and festival shows. After a round of line-up changes, third full length ‘Cold Steel… For an Iron Age’ (2002) cemented the band’s excellent reputation. After a hiatus caused among other issues by disenchantment with the business, DESTRÖYER 666 returned with ‘Defiance’ in 2009 and followed up on this success with the rough and gritty ‘Wildfire’ (2016) seven years later that saw them touring and performing at all the relevant metal festivals worldwide on a regular basis again. The Australians filled the gap between the latest albums with the hard-hitting EP, ‘Call of the Wild’ (2018) that comes with a distinct taste of an unrepentantly classic flavour.

The outlaws from down under deliver another pummelling and relentless lesson in aggression with full length number 6(66). ‘Never Surrender’ is a furious assault of black thrash, chainsaw riffs, and warlike drums, offering no moment of reprisal as it rages on for 40 unyielding minutes.

With this offering, DESTRÖYER 666 takes no prisoners!

Style: Cathartic Black Metal

Behind black shrouds of obscurity and desolation, the men of GAEREA deliver their odes in cascading maelstroms of aggression and beauty. Emerging from the age of pandemic to whatever awaits humanity next, the Portuguese horde remains on the frontlines of the next generation of extreme metal. With an EP and two albums to their name, GAEREA has rapidly distinguished themselves from the thousands of bands toiling away in the underground. Brewing their cauldron of sound from a recipe of pounding black-metal blast mixed with a touch of harrowed, reflective longing, many devotees of the darkened arts have flocked to their banner. With the emergence of third full-length album Mirage, those numbers are sure to grow.

Underground metal itself is a strange and cyclical beast. Trends come and trends go. But at no point in the genre’s history have we borne witness to what happened to the world in 2020. GAEREA met this challenge by releasing their second album, the aptly titled Limbo, to excellent world reception. In the meantime, they found the total suspension of interactive life as it was previously known to be the perfect breeding ground for further creation and making. As the troupe’s main songwriter elaborates, “I lost two precious years of my life, years that I would rather have spent touring and growing as an artist. But they were crucial for us, these years, because not too many bands stayed relevant and productive. The pandemic gave us the time to make the best release we could. All the promo-shoots, interviews, videos, we all had time to prepare for everything. Mirage was the product of a sudden inspiration. The basic parts were written over about two weeks.”

Such a stunning admission goes to show that art is fickle, and the artist is merely a vessel through which the sweet sorcery we call music may flow. It can mute itself to frustrating silence – or it can explode into being regardless of all consideration. For this band on the rise, it is most certainly the latter. Sizzling with ambition from day one, GAEREA may present one unique face to their audience, masked and enshrouded, but the truth is they have not remained changeless. “We are not the same band who recorded Limbo,” he insists. “We are more eager to take on the world. If the pandemic taught us anything it is that nothing is certain.”

This lack of certainty plays heavily into newest creation Mirage. As its name suggests, the inability to trust what our senses are telling us could be construed as one of the album’s central themes. Rather than constrict their art to mythological references or anti-religious tropes, GAEREA instead plumb the depths of the human experiences of isolation and suffering. “The concept, the subject, of each song is everyone, you, me . . . if people were alone together in Limbo, in Mirage they are truly alone. Nobody is truly real until they are alone.”

If existential dread could be turned into sound, GAEREA have carved their own philosophical path through its stygian tunnels. It isn’t Satan, demons, death, or even suicide that is waiting for us there. “What if people finally reached their goal,” he posits, “to end their suffering, and instead of dying they find themselves in a new reality, lost in a big city they were once a part of – they don’t know if anyone else is still alive. They are alone inside their own world.” This theme of being alone in a world full of familiar scenes, unable to end things and unable to reach anyone else, might well terrify the listener more effectively than any glimpse into the imagined hellscapes of our nightmares. Being isolated in your own world is the real nightmare, and GAEREA strum the chords of this horror with nuance and a miserable grace.

Boasting a superior production that threads the needle between clarity and causticness, GAEREA unwaveringly admit their loyalty to countryman and producer Miguel Tereso of Demigod Recordings. “Miguel is fantastic,” enthuses the band’s primary composer. “He comes from a brutal death metal background. I thought if this guy can pull off a punchy, modern, but still authentic production with a slam / death metal band, I wonder what he can do with a band like GAEREA. He has a vision for a sound, and that is what I really like. He is not a black metal fan, but it’s this very external set of ears and eyes from a guy who really knows his craft, and he brings all of that to our sound.” The fruits of this union are quite evident, as the turbulent moods of the title track are so wonderfully tossed between tension-building moments, and the explosive payoffs which set GAEREA apart from so many who try but come up short.

Tormented leads and building riffs sit atop some seriously explosive drumming, waxing and waning, on “Arson,” a tempest of moods and one of the album’s centerpieces. Emotion, at times sounding triumphant in brilliantly wrought guitar leads, is skewered by vocals that bustle with shattering despair. The dichotomy is magnificent to behold. GAEREA’s composer makes no mistake. “I want to hear the throat on the album, and if we are a vocals-driven band, I don’t want to over-process them during the recording. Striking that balance is one of the beauties for me in this record.”

In a world that increasingly elevates the shallow and the narcissistic, GAEREA pursues an artistic struggle of inward isolation, honest self-examination, and a dogged refusal to bow to the void that awaits. Thus, the persistence of their shadowed visages, draped in the masks which codify their anonymity while also creating a reliable extreme metal brand that fans can appreciate, especially in the live setting. “GAEREA are truly ourselves when we put these masks on, and we transcend into something different, and primitive,” he asserts. “It still makes total sense, and this band would not be a band anymore if we ever dropped the masks.”

As GAEREA prepares the release of Mirage, the world has resumed functioning, and as it lurches onward into its bleak future, one could stipulate that the pressure may be on to continue its rise amid the clamor of this renewal of activity. Does this challenge intimidate GAEREA? “We want to do better, but I don’t feel any pressure because we are in very good hands with the people we work with. We are building a strong team that really cares for us, stage-wise, promotional-wise, website and sales-wise. We are building a very structured confident teams that aims for the same goals we do. What I truly care about is continuing our ever-growing concept of the band GAEREA, and not becoming sterile, and I would not want people to be unaffected by our music. In the end we’re trying to express something within ourselves, and I don’t want it to be too complicated.”

The beauty of GAEREA lies in the directness and simplicity found within their florid tapestry of extremity and aggression. Whether it is in the less-polished aural dynamite of their self-titled EP, or in the lustrous textures of Mirage, GAEREA is building a mighty edifice of underground metal. With talons dipped in the inky blood of black metal and scraped across the flesh of human suffering, GAEREA is leading a charge into the future of darkness, and all those who find beauty and power in the dark side of existence would do well to take heed.

South Carolina dream-gazers Candy Coffins present 'Seaside Girls' ahead of 'Once Do It With Feeling' LP

"A compelling example of the band at their considerable best, walking a fine-tuned line between darkness and the silver-lining of new romanticism. Haunting with loads of energy, this song boasts some impressive guitar work and, of course, excellence in frontman Jame Lathren's nervous, edgy vocal delivery" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Candy Coffins take no prisoners with lush instrumentation and sombre storytelling. Their gothic post-punk vortex engulfs you. Poignant vocal melodies swoon amongst soft guitars and expansive synths to craft a song that will continue wandering the sonic corridors of your mind" ~ The Record Stache

"An enthralling and fascinating listen with their sonic imagery, emotional turbulence and new romantic underpinnings. With a wistful sound and vocal likeness to The Cure’s Robert Smith, their melancholy interchanges with adrenaline from song to song amidst picturesque soundscapes and heartfelt lyricism"
~ Skylight Webzine

Post-punk new romantics Candy Coffins present 'Seaside Girls', the second taster from the band's new album 'Once Do It With Feeling', a loaded 10-track collection that arrives two years after the band's latest 'Somehow Misplaced' EP.

"When the pandemic hit, I decided I would not write a dark song as the first one written during the period. It seemed too easy given the times. It took me three months, but we got 'Seaside Girls' from the effort, which is an upbeat sun-drenched rocker on the new album, 'Once Do It With Feeling.' It’s all the rage," says frontman-songwriter Jame Lathren.

Earlier, the band released 'Every Day A Fresh Atrocity' and an accompanying video created by Jame Lathren, exploring the dark corners and haunting suffocation of a broken relationship.

This album showcases mature strides in songwriting, the band relating the themes addressed both confidently and cohesively. Emotionally and sonically saturated, their music boasts Cure-esque textures and melody, as well as the thematic elements and visceral delivery of The Afghan Whigs.

Lathren notes, "The full album chronicles a relationship from the onset of the first crack to its complete crumbling dissolution. All the feelings and emotions of tumult are captured here, from both persons’ perspectives."

Vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Jame Lathren, a small-town boy who admired artists who were not on popular radio, formed Candy Coffins in 2018 in Columbia, South Carolina. A cultural outcast, his resilience, sensitivity and hyper-awareness of his emotional state would ultimately permeate his own music, getting right to the heart of the emotions surrounding the human condition.

After disbanding his previous post-punk band Crown The Cake, he formed Candy Coffins with hometown guitar legend Tom Alewine (Bachelors of Art), followed by seasoned music scene veterans Alex Mabrey on bass and Justin Purdy on keys, and former Iron & Wine touring drummer Jonathan Bradley. Their dynamic and textured approach has contributed to the band's trademark lush sound, channeling and bolstering Lathren’s emotive songwriting and delivery.

With tasteful nods to Joy Division, The Cure, The Psychedelic Furs, The Afghan Whigs and The Cult, as well as contemporaries like The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Interpol, Candy Coffins’ sound is dark and emotionally restless, but with elements of hope and elation. Defiantly unique, their sound is a welcome respite from musical mediocrity.

As of September 20, 'Seaside Girls' will be available everywhere digitally, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp, where 'Every Day A Fresh Atrocity' can also be found. The 'Once Do It With Feeling' LP will be released on October 21 and can be ordered at https://candycoffins.bandcamp.com.

Seattle indie rockers Black Nite Crash take us on a 'Sugarwave' ahead of 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash' LP

"Slow and brooding, their mixture of psychedelia and rock, with this steady yet mysterious backdrop and consecutive male-female-vocals, is a winning formula, producing an inescapably transcendent vortex of sound" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"The boy/girl vocal play-off is wonderous in the extreme, and the graceful Doorsian groove is delivered better than most attempts to capture that louche, psychedelic majesty... The music itself feels like it is from a different sonic world" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A fascination of beguiling emotion and encroaching shadows... the richest infection of catchiness and inspiriting persuasion" ~ Ringmaster Review

"Effervescent... all the hallmarks of the mid-90s indie style: fuzzed-out guitars, bouncy rhythms, and a kaleidoscope of influences. Firmly in the realm of bands like Lightning Seeds, Eels, The Beta Band, and The Wonder Stuff" ~ Post-Punk.com

Seattle-based outfit Black Nite Crash presents 'Sugarwave', a high energy single with a driving, melodic take on indie-rock influenced post-punk, the second single from their album 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash', mixed by longtime collaborator Matt Brown (Trespassers William) and mastered by Adam Straney.

Earlier, Black Nite Crash released the lead track 'The Take', a storyteller-led pulsating noir singalong with a trippy silhouette-laden video. Both tracks preview the most diverse set of songs the band has ever released, combining their trademark fuzzed out guitars with some newer flavours.

Black Nite Crash is Jim Biggs (vocals, guitar), John Parker (bass), James Stone(guitar), Tony Zuniga (drums) and Claire Tucker (guitar/vocals). Formed twenty years ago, Black Nite Crash has involved more than 30 members over the years, surrounding Jim Biggs, the last remaining original member. Yet somehow, the band has maintained a coherent sound and vision.

"The lyrics for 'Sugarwave' started out as scenes from a dream wherein my husband pulled some rather out-of-character capers. It got me thinking about dreams he's told me about, where I did strange or terrible things, and what that might mean about our perception of each other -- and even whether there was some hidden truth to the dreams. The song eventually developed into an impression of the gap between people's true internal selves and how everyone else perceives us, and the attempt to bridge that gap, impossible as it may be. But the desire to be known can be at odds with the allure of likes and compliments and approvals and little dopamine hits -- and that's the Sugarwave," says Claire Tucker.

"The energy of the song is undeniable - we can't keep still while playing it. We haven't done anything quite like it in a while. It's another piece on the new record that feels, for us, like a bit of a departure from the last few albums. We've been trying to let the songs just come and guide us rather than trying to force things to sound like some preconceived notion of what the band should sound like".

Work on the 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash' LP began before the pandemic, the songs a reflection of a band finding its feet again, with (then) relatively new members Claire Tucker and Sharim Johnson putting their imprint on this batch of songs. Then lockdowns began before tracking could be completed.

"This is the band's fifth full length in nearly twenty years of existence, and it looks to be the start of a period of more frequent releases as we work through our backlog of unreleased recorded songs, not to mention the surplus of new material we're working on even now," says Jim Biggs.

As of September 20, 'Sugarwave' will be available everywhere online, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. The 'Washed in the Sound with Black Nite Crash' LP will be released on October 14 through American boutique label Neon Sigh.

To celebrate their new album, Black Nite Crash will be playing a handful of live shows, beginning with an October 8 album release show at Seattle's The Central Saloon, followed by the Portland release show at The Six on November 5.

BLACK LAVA Reveals Music Video for New Song, "Eye of the Moon"

Emerging blackened death metal quartet BLACK LAVA will release its debut full-length, 'Soul Furnace,' on November 25, 2022 via Season of Mist! The band is now sharing an epic music video for their brand new single, "Eye of the Moon!" The video, which was filmed and edited by Colin Jeffs and produced by Black Lava and Ten of Sword,s can be found below.

BLACK LAVA comments:
"'Eye of the Moon' tells a story of a man embarking on a journey through harsh landscapes - such as snow, forests and mountains - in search of a witches lair, looking for strength and guidance. The clip was shot in the beautiful scenes of Mt Buffalo, in Victoria, Australia. With its stunning landscape, dramatic cliffs and peaks, it was the perfect location for the story to take place. Filmed in the heart of winter over three days, the conditions were extremely difficult with temperatures dropping from -1 to -7 Celsius, which proved especially hard on camera equipment and the crews, with the constant snow, rain, and wind, made it near impossible to capture the artistic vision. Our hands were freezing at times and could hardly move, but with an amazing dedicated team we persevered with its creation, and what you see is the result.

"We are extremely proud to present 'Eye of the Moon.'"

Pre-orders for 'Soul Furnace' are now live HERE and can be saved on all digital streaming services HERE.

Release Date: November 25, 2022
Genre: Blackened Death Metal

During the turbulent and uncertain years of 2020-2021, perhaps none were plunged deeper into darkness than those from down under as Australia imposed some of the strictest, harshest, and most devastating lockdown measures in the world, forcing their civilians into years of isolation. However, through solitude and desolation, some of the greatest art is created, as is the case with BLACK LAVA, the emerging blackened death metal quartet from Melbourne (AU). Founded by drummer Dan Presland (Vipassi, AMDBL, ex-Ne Obliviscaris) and guitarist Ben Boyle (Vipassi, AMDBL, Hadal Maw), BLACK LAVA draws influence from old school death and black metal bands while injecting groove-laden melodies and progressive elements to create their own experimental sound.

“The idea came about from just pure frustration of the situation at hand during 2020/2021,” explains Presland of the band’s formation. “Ben and I live locally together, and in the beginning of the pandemic, I built a working studio, so we got together to just initially jam to release some frustrations and vent some music around the second half of 2021. We had a pretty casual jam together and Ben came back with a few fleshed out ideas a few days later.” As the ideas started to come to fruition, the duo quickly realized that the project had more potential than just a jam session. “Both of us were really into the direction Ben pushed,” continues Presland, “and it was something pretty new to both of us - we have worked together quite extensively over the years within music, playing in several bands together (Vipassi, AMDBL, Aphotic Dawn and more) - so to go in a totally new direction was pretty refreshing.”

As the pair fleshed out more ideas, they turned to their good friend Rob Watkins of Blackhelm to fulfill vocal duties. “Within 10 minutes we had found a vocalist and the search for a bassist was on. Tim Anderson (Blackhelm) was found pretty quickly and was keen to jump on board the idea also, so within a very short time frame we had a full lineup, a record ready to go, and 4 guys full of enthusiasm to push something new.”

Sharing a diverse love for black metal, death metal, and progressive music, the quartet quickly found their sound and hit a stride. And thus, Soul Furnace was born - a searing 34-minute aural assault that conjures up nostalgia while still sounding fresh and current. While the record promises to usher in a new musical era of the 2020s with its forward-thinking and contemporary energy, the lyrics dwell somewhere between fantasy and the old world.

“In the world of Black Lava, the lyrics are set in a time and world long gone and forgotten, mostly made up of fantasy and a medieval theme, fitting for the realms of our style of music,” explains vocalist Rob Watkins of the album’s themes and inspirations. “We draw inspiration from the natural environment and mother nature, ancient witchcraft and the glory of warriors in battle. I picture Black Lava as visiting an ancient beast in a cave giving you a chance to escape the outside world through its tales and mythology.”

With a new deal with Season of Mist and a team of some of the music industry’s most revered artists, producers, engineers, and professionals behind them to help render their vision, Black Lava is ready to make its debut and unleash its fury upon the masses.

DARIUS RUCKER TO RELEASE “OL’ CHURCH HYMN” FEATURING CHAPEL HART ON FRIDAY, SEPT. 30

Multi-Platinum star Darius Rucker continues to unveil new music as he puts the finishing touches on a forthcoming album, with “Ol’ Church Hymn” featuring rising trio Chapel Hart set for release Friday, Sept. 30. The song comes on the heels of another collaboration from Rucker and the trio, who joined forces for a performance of Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About” during last week’s “America’s Got Talent” season finale on NBC. Watch the electrifying performance HERE and pre-order / pre-save “Ol’ Church Hymn” HERE.

Written by Rucker together with Ben Hayslip, Josh Miller and Greylan James, the gospel-inspired love song features Rucker’s rich baritone vocals, praised by Billboard as “one of the most distinctive voices of country’s modern era,” joined by the three-part harmony of Chapel Hart to profess a born-again love in the joyful chorus:

You soothe my soul like an ol’ church hymn
Found in a book in the back of a pew
Born again love I’m a new person
Hand in the air hallelujah
Amen, Amen, Amen
Amen, Amen, Amen
You soothe my soul like an ol’ church hymn

“Like so many people, I was blown away when I saw Chapel Hart’s original response to ‘Jolene,’” notes Rucker. “I was recording ‘Ol’ Church Hymn’ at the time and instantly had this vision of it becoming a duet once I heard their voices. I’m so thankful they said yes to singing on it with me, and I can’t wait to see the huge career they’re going to have.”

“He really took a chance on us… He saw some of our stuff online and he was like ‘I love what you ladies are doing. I have an idea and I want to hear you guys on this song,’” Chapel Hart’s Devynn Hart shared recently.

The new duet will be featured on Rucker’s forthcoming album – his first solo project since 2017’s critically acclaimed When Was the Last Time. Fans can also see Rucker perform live as he brings the inaugural Riverfront Revival festival to his hometown of Charleston, S.C. on October 8 and 9, with Brothers Osborne, SUSTO, Jimmie Allen, Charley Crockett and more joining him on the lineup. Limited tickets remain available for purchase at RiverfrontRevival.com.

Weapons of Anew Release New Single "Break the Ties" + Official Music Video

Hard Rock outfit Weapons of Anew released their new song “Break The Ties” to all major platforms. It will be the first song released with new members, singer Richie Hume and drummer Lun’iah Fontana. The new song is the first to be released from the forthcoming 2023 release, The Art of War.

This was the first song written for The Art of War. It came about as guitarist Freddy Ordine and Logan Mader (Machine Head, Once Human) hit it off while on tour together. WOA were auditioning producers and Freddy, a huge fan of early Machine Head material, invited Logan to spend time at their studio.

"I couldn't be happier with how this song came together and turned out,” exclaims Ordine. "It had our New York attitude and Logan's west coast vibe. We really nailed the direction I wanted to take Weapons in!! Logan was just amazing to work with!!!!”

“Break The Ties” is about cutting away the bad and being in a more together space with everything. "It's crazy to me that a year after this song was written, [bassist] Reno and I moved to Florida and rebuilt Weapons,” adds Ordine. "I guess subconsciousness is a mother f*cker!!! Had we only known or listened sooner!!!"

This Tampa-based hard rock outfit, originally from New Jersey, released their debut, The Collision of Love and Hate, in 2017 and toured heavily to support it, including opening for Scott Stapp, Alterbridge and Tesla. WOA recorded a second album for release in 2020, with the first song released, being a cover of The Chainsmokers “Sick Boy” dropping in September 2020, reaching #25 on Billboard Active Rock, #18 Billboard Indicator and #27 Mediabase Active Rock.

It currently has 1.2 million streams. The release was delayed due to COVID and in mid-2021 WOA made their personnel changes and re-recorded the songs for The Art of War.

WOA are Richie Hume (vocals), Freddy Ordine (guitar), Reno (bass), Kevin Hicklin (guitar) and Lun’iah Fontana (drums).

Living by the motif of comforting the disturbed and disturbing the comfortable, Reign of Z has carved it's path since its inception in 2017.

Since its beginning, Reign of Z has added some heavy hits to its resume from playing the Shira Girl stage on 2018's Vans Warped Tour, co-headlining the Whisky A Go-Go in LA and even raising 125% of their Indiegogo goal surpassing its initial $5,000, allowing them to record their debut EP, Mirrors and Memoirs, with Justin Spaulding and Steve Sopchak (Ice Nine Kills), out April 19, 2019, capping off 2018 with regular radio play on 105.9 The X in Pittsburgh for the month of December.

OVTLIER Releases New Industrial Rock Single "Living Dead" + Official Music Video Directed by Tom Flynn

OVTLIER released their new single "Living Dead" to all major platforms! The band also premiered the official music video, directed by Tom Flynn.

“'Living Dead' is the embodiment of everything telling, dark and fun. An animated and colorful song that sticks out from everything in our discography. A spoken word opening by the legendary Vincent Price sets the scene that dives into a riff-driving intro, leading to a heart pumping verse, a monster chorus that will have you singing along by the second go-around and a bridge that brings the heavy. 'Living Dead' is the beast that keeps on killing!" says Joey Arena.

He adds, "The music video for “Living Dead” captures the animation behind the lyrics. A dark, witty, campy horror-comedic short. Inspired by classics like Frankenstein, The Last Man On Earth and The Three Stooges 'Dizzy Doctors', 'Living Dead' is an over-the-top three minutes and sixteen seconds of pure 'Hell Yeah'!"

Honing in on a modern sound while consistently setting themselves apart from the mainstream, Ovtlier (pronounced "Outlier") prides themselves in creating exemplary rock and metal music backed by a rapidly growing fanbase. Ovtlier has earned more than 3 million views of fan-curated content on YouTube and over 3 million streams on Spotify, while capturing the hearts of tens of thousands of followers online. In addition to their loyal fan base, the band has caught attention through achieving features in major media outlets such as Revolver, Loudwire, Alternative Press, Decibel and ABC News.

Continually hitting the Billboard charts, Ovtlier has been able to spread their sound nationwide through constant spins on FM radio and months of regular rotation on SiriusXM Octane- launching them into the forefront of their genre. Ovtlier has had three singles featured on SiriusXM Octane; "Who We Are", "Buried Me Alive" and "Blame The Dead" have made fans out of satellite radio listeners across the country and emphasizes the band's ability to stay creative while maintaining an ever-growing fanbase.

Now, the band is slated to release their biggest single yet - "Living Dead" will be unleashed on September 9, 2022. It was written by the band's lead vocalist and founder, Joey Arena, accompanied by Evan McKeever. "Living Dead" is one of the many Ovtlier singles with production by Justin DeBlieck (Ice Nine Kills, Motionless In White), but it is their only single to date to be mixed by Chris Dawson (SAUL, Any Given Sin). With Ovtlier's dedication and a star-studded team of support behind them, the success of "Living Dead" as the band's most-accomplished single is imminent.

Manchester's WEIMAR explore the dark side of domestic life on 'Heaven on High Street East' single

"Endearing... With their mixed bag of genres, well-digested set of influences and unique eclectic sound, Weimar is one of the most intriguing bands to come from England’s northern capital as of late" ~ The Spill Magazine

“Emphatic execution of highly observant songs informed by life’s surreal and unnerving experiences... Guitars jangle, jolt and drive emotion in equal measure” Louder Than War

"Awesome... a side order of alternative artifice, artistry and Avant Garde with your pop-rock" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

“An eclectic smorgasbord of elements weaved together in an un-assimilative refreshing feat of ingenuity”AnR Factory

“Perhaps the most important band to come out of Manchester since Magazine”Aural Delights

"Highly intriguing... riveting nostalgic air but equally an instant surge of fresh endeavour and tempting" ~ Ringmaster Review

Manchester art-rock quartet Weimar present the single 'Heaven on High Street East' along with a new video driving home the lyrics. A lush prog indie-folk ballad, this is a Kitchen Sink Drama exploring abusive relationships in suburbia, and the vapid existence of the perpetrators of domestic abuse.

"This song also specifically explores the contrast between real life and the sanitized, sugar-coated and idealized version of reality depicted on social media, and how this is used to intensify the psychological torment and gaslighting prevalent in abusive relationships. From its lush beginnings to its intense finale, 'Heaven On High Street East' is a brutal exposition of the grim reality behind the net curtains of suburbia and the superficial facade presented by social media," says Weimar frontman Aidan Cross.

This is the latest taster from the band's debut album 'Dancing On a Volcano', out now via German Shepherd Records. Here are 12 tracks (three years in the making), which take the listener on an unpredictable excursion through the socio-political and personal challenges of our modern age.

Formed in 2016, Weimar is made up of vocalist-guitarist-songwriter Aidan Cross (The Bacillus, Black Light Mutants), bassist John Armstrong (The Speed Of Sound), drummer Anthony ‘Eddy’ Edwards (The Deceased) and guitarist Stephen Sarsen (Frank Is Dead, Playground).

Recently, Weimar shared 'Soho Rain' featuring Leeds' artist Finola, a single dedicated to London's Soho district, and 'I Smashed The Looking Glass', exploring the interrelationship between an artist's true self and their public persona. Cynical and sardonic, but also optimistic and hopeful, this song features label mate Loop-Aznavour of Adventures of Salvador on theremin. Earlier this year, Weimar also released the single 'The Girls of LA' / 'Transatlantic Confusion'.

Embracing a blend of post-punk, no wave, cabaret, psychedelia, alternative folk and gothic rock, this album was produced by Adam Crossley and Chris Guest of Vibratone Sound Studio. The cover art was created by acclaimed artist and writer Brian Gorman.

Louder Than War named Weimar amongst its 50 Bands To Watch for 2019, when they debuted the single 'John Doe / Curse the Songs', followed by 'Marvel To The State / Undesirable Master'. Having worked with legendary producer Simon ‘Ding’ Archer, they've also played with Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) and goth legends Skeletal Family.

The 'Dancing On A Volcano' LP is available everywhere via German Shepherd Records, including Spotify, Apple Music and Bandcamp. It was also released on CD and can be ordered directly from the artist.

Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast free-to-play mobile game is excited to announce another major in-game collaboration, this time with Dutch symphonic metal band, Within Temptation!

Following several successful collaborations last year, in 2022 Legacy of the Beast have teamed up with Disturbed,Powerwolf, Arch Enemy, Five Finger Death Punch and now touring partners, Within Temptation, who will be joining Iron Maiden on the second leg of their US tour in October 2022.

This exciting collaboration has culminated in a dungeon event called The Purge’ inspired by Within Temptation’s 2020 single of the same name and a newly created character, Genesis. In this new storyline, Genesis teams up with the Different World iteration of Eddie  - who was inspired by the lyrics, themes and imagery of Iron Maiden's 2006 track ‘Different World’ and the subsequent music video.  This week-long event will take fans and players on a journey with Different World Eddie and Genesis, who’s now been woven into the Legacy of the Beast lore, as mother of the Different World.

Genesis has remained in isolation for thousands of years and through a network of caretakers- she has recently become aware of the instability that has overtaken her home. Now she sets off to find the root of the issue.  Now Genesis, moving towards a stronghold of the Different World Machine God, runs into Different World Eddie - a shard of the Eternal who has adopted the Different World philosophy. Together will they breach the Machine God’s forces and stamp out a small part of the hivemind’s plan?

Meet Genesis today, Monday, September 19th, 2022 at 5 pm PT in ‘Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast’ mobile game during The Purge Dungeon Event.

When asked about Genesis and Different World Eddie teaming up in Iron Maidens Legacy of the Beast game, Sharon den Adel, the lead vocalist and one of the main songwriters of Within Temptation said

"If I listen to Iron Maiden, I feel like I'm on an adventure and I'm traveling through time. Eddie is my tour guide and with Eddie and Genesis teaming up.. That's the best thing ever! Aren't they a cute couple?!” Sharon continued by explaining how a piece of artwork evolved into a playable character in a game, “Genesis, for us, is not only a symbol of an evolution of life, but also a symbol for the wars within the mind and the wars with the outside world. We think it’s so cool that she previously was only a piece of artwork for us. She was an inspiration for several things we were doing, but now coming to life in this game: it’s a surreal thing to see.. It’s a whole new level! It turned out so awesome, so check it out!”

Will Moore CEO Navigator Games said

“The lyrics, imagery and video for Maiden’s 2006 track ‘Different World’ inspired this incredible multi-level dungeon. We started collaborating with Within Temptation as soon as they were announced as a special guest for Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast USA tour. Together we have developed their mascot into the awesome playable character ‘Genesis’. We can’t wait to share this special in-game event with the fans to celebrate the US tour”

New York rocker DMITRY WILD presents 'Liberation' single, a sign of the times and beacon of hope

"A sonic and visual storyteller... channeling Johnny Cash, Nick Cave, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Lee Hazlewood" ~ Post-Punk.com

"Upbeat, positive, and catchy. With memorable riffs and a notable feel-good vibe... true rock 'n' roll spirit" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A tastefully crafted raucous free-rolling rocker-zen cracker" ~ Skylight Webzine

"Wild, swaggering and buoyant... hyper full-band rhythm and feel-good factor" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

New York-based garage rocker Dmitry Wild presents a rock anthem with meaning - 'Liberation' feat. Tryst is the first taster of his forthcoming 'Electric Souls' album. The accompanying video features imagery, symbolizing both protest and hope, with film footage captured in Ukraine, Spain, Czech Republic and various US locales, including Florida, Massachusetts, Tennessee and San Francisco.

Showcasing his trademark blend of 70’s vintage rock, garage rock and punk ethos, this song is quite timely, speaking to a great number of situations around the world where oppression is systemic and power struggles endure at the people's expense.

Dmitry wrote 'Liberation' as a virtual rock opera - a two-part opus dedicated to liberating ourselves from the oppressions of the systems in place. The first part roars as a classic rock banger before transitioning to a notable confrontation with a policeman at the protest while searching for what unites us, before an epic solo inspired by David Bowie's 'Moonage Daydream'. The song ends with Tryst joining in, the duet singing in tandem “Set us free, Love will Rise and set us free".

"This album is rooted in our human experience in the 21st century. Things have come to a boiling point this year on the social and climate front and at the global level. There are protests, virtual revolutions and personal revolutions that we are all undergoing, but by arming ourselves with electricity and guitars, we are still making noise and yelling about our belonging in this beautiful and wild place," says Dmitry Wild.

"As fears subside, we can gather together and sing for 'Liberation'. The only thing that binds us together is our voices - in unison they create a thunder storm as resistance movements unveil their power, as people ultimately realize that higher powers control a lot beyond our voting rights."

Very passionate about the craft of songwriting, Dmitry Wild used the downtime of the great pandemic to get some serious work done, completing the final writing for this solo album and gradually recording this material. Some material from earlier is also included, dating back to when he was living in California.

With music steeped in garage rock and rock n roll, this album also brings in the flair of 80’s epic synths, bluesy songs, gypsy-inspired compositions, and 70’s-inspired driving tunes.

On this album, Wild collaborated with Strange House Media, their main engineer, Byron Frayne, mixing most of the songs included here and mastering the full album. This collaboration also extended to the two songs released from this album to date - the videos for 'Don’t Need Anybody' and 'Castle Walls' were also created in collaboration with Strange House Media, Byron Frayne and Tryst as editor.

On the live music scene, Dmitry's shows take on a more rocking sound. Performing under the name Dmitry Wild & The Spells, the band currently involves Tommy Love on drums, Robert Paley on bass, Garret Smelcer on keyboards, and David Varlow on rhythm guitar. He is also sometimes joined by notable Rockabilly bassist Chops LaConte and then things take on a more theatrical turn.

'Liberation' is out now, available at all fine online music platforms, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp, where the 'Electric Souls' LP (out October 15) is already available for pre-order.
