Zero Trust (Coheed and Cambria, Bulldoze) share "Get It" music video and vinyl variant for debut EP

ZERO TRUST SHARE MUSIC VIDEO FOR “GET IT”

RELEASE NEW VINYL VARIANT FOR DEBUT EP
OUT NOW VIA EQUAL VISION RECORDS

STREAM: Zero Trust

The New York-based group Zero Trust shared the new music video for their track “Get It” alongside an interview with vocalist BJ Allen on Afropunk today. The track is one of the band’s dual singles released last month via Equal Vision Records in the form of a self-titled EP. “Get It” is an anthemic slow-burn track that boasts a soaring chorus led by Allen’s poignant lyrics. Zero Trust, formed as a creative outlet during the ongoing pandemic, is completed by members of Coheed and Cambria, Bulldoze, Full Scale Riot, Agents of Man, Skarhead, and more. The group of hardcore veterans collectively builds upon a hard-to-define sound, blurring the lines of metal, hardcore, and alternative rock. The band also announced a new vinyl variant for their debut is available today with all proceeds going to the New York City non-profit Coalition For The Homeless. Watch the video for “Get It” here and hear the band’s debut release here.

About Zero Trust
This March, Zero Trust partnered with Equal Vision Records for the release of their self-titled EP, featuring dual singles “Birch” and “Get It”. Having partially written the record pre-pandemic, Zero Trust finished the writing process virtually and recorded at the band’s Barrel Hannah Studio in Nyack, New York. The band’s debut is an immediately hard hitting and emotional experience, balancing their years of collective songwriting experience with a focus on pushing heavy music forward. Across the two tracks, vocalist BJ Allen reflects on how the systems in our society are working against the working class, and the collective reality that our world is permanently changed. Not satisfied by simply rearranging the same ingredients from the myriad of genres the members have already made a lasting impact on, Zero Trust opts for channeling their aggression into a new form that can’t be pigeonholed.

Zero Trust is: Vocalist BJ Allen (Full Scale Riot, Ghidrah, GMK), guitarists Zack Thorne (Bulldoze, Agents of Man, Skarhead, etc.) and Mike Milewski (Bulldoze, Homicidal, etc.), Travis Stever (Coheed and Cambria) on bass and backing vocals, and drummer Evan Rossiter (Full Scale Riot, Organyc).

Here is what press is saying.......

Armed with big choruses, blazing guitar solos, and powerful melodies, WILDSTREET is a sex-fueled rock n roll explosion beckoning the glory days of 80s arena rock.- Twelv Magazine

“They (Dorothy) found the most awesome opening band, WILDSTREET, who warmed
up the crowd in the best possible way. Exceeding beyond expectations, with remnants of Motley Crue in the best of nostalgic ways that rekindled my love of ‘TooYoung To Fall In Love’, but in a more intense way that sweeps the rug under your feet way. Each band member brings their unique personality, you’ll never know at what point you’ll get surprised. At one point they even played on their guitars simultaneously onstage while the crowd yelled and applauded in amazement.”- Pancakes & Whiskey

“If New York City rockers Wildstreet don’t get your heart pumping and feet moving. you should go see the doctor because I’m pretty sure you could be considered legally dead...”- HARD ROCK NIGHTS

“Wildstreet’s name personifies the entire band in sound and appearance—wild. With singer Eric Jayk’s crazy hair/attire, one might pass them by as an 80s gimmick, but they would be missing a hell of a show. The band put on an energetic performance, rallying the crowd like most bands only wish they could do!- Intellectual Masturbation

“The band Wildstreet is one of my absolute favorites. They are the complete embodiment of every thing I love about music.”- Craig Wettner

“Do you wanna have a good time, do you wanna party? Wildstreet is the perfect party starter, their mix of straight ahead non compromising hard rock and singalong choruses makes them easy to love. Let there be rock! ”- Kaj Roth www.melodic.net

Genrefluid Visionaries LORD OF THE LOST to Release New Studio Album, “JUDAS”

LORD OF THE LOST to Release New Studio Album, JUDAS, on July 2, 2021 via Napalm Records

Pre-Order Starts NOW!

New Official Video for First Single, “Priest”, out Today

German genrefluid visionaries LORD OF THE LOST prove that they have matured both musically and lyrically, and return with their seventh studio album, JUDAS, out July 2, 2021 via Napalm Records.

With this remarkable offering, the five-piece cement their position as exceptional artists that can’t be pigeonholed once more, which their brand new harbinger and single “Priest”, out today, is already proof of. The very first song immediately unveils a leitmotif that runs through the whole record and serves as a uniting symbiosis for the double album, divided in two conceptual parts, Damnation and Salvation, with 24 songs in total.

Along with a highly sophisticated official video, the song draws the listener into a conflict that has lasted for thousands of centuries and is as old as mankind itself: The conflict between good and evil. On JUDAS, LORD OF THE LOST tell of this conflict from the perception of the character of Judas Iscariot, known as highly diverse, and the so-called Gospel of Judas, a paper that's said to consist of conversations between Jesus Christ and Judas Iscariot and casts a different light on religious history as it's told in the Bible's New Testament.

LORD OF THE LOST on the new single and video:

“With ‘Priest’, we dive deep into a visual world that is meant to convey the very core emotion of the upcoming album, JUDAS, to the viewer. This comes along with a story that leaves room for many means of interpretation while keeping the purpose of the album concept. The artist XELANAH shines as the protagonist here, symbolically representing the emotional tension of the figure of Judas Iscariot. That role will also appear and continue in further videos, just like you know it from, for example, AEROSMITH. The song itself manages to unite all the emotion and soundscape that makes up the album - a cinematic trailer for the ears. And even a deliberately placed GENESIS quote from the mouth of Judas himself is suddenly seen in a completely new light.”

Part of the video for “Priest” was shot in the so-called Einhornhöhle (engl. unicorn cave) in Germany back in August 2020. LORD OF THE LOST continue introducing their female protagonist and artwork model, a process that was already set free with the teaser video for“The Death Of All Colours”, and weaves the common thread of JUDAS visually as well. She represents the inner conflict of good and evil that can be interpreted in several ways.

LORD OF THE LOST on JUDAS:

“Don’t judge a book by its cover. This sentence could hardly apply any better to someone in theological history than to the figure of Judas Iscariot, who represents only one thing at first glance: Betrayal. If you take a closer look, almost endless possibilities of interpretation open up here: from "Judas the murderer" to "Judas the redeemer" and "Judas the actual martyr", who, if you believe in it, could only find room in hell for his salvific betrayal after dying for what he did, in complete contrast to Jesus Christ. This field of tension and the apocryphal writings of the "Gospel of Judas" are the basis for a double album that not only illuminates the dark and light side of history, but above all the grey areas in between, in which we move emotionally and ideologically throughout our lives and try to find our place.”

Pre-Order JUDAS TODAY!

LORD OF THE LOST blur the lines between good and evil with their magnum opus JUDAS

JUDAS sets off with atmospheric “Priest”, followed by “For They Know Not What They Do”, making clear right from the beginning that all the songs can be experienced the most organic and vivid way: A genuine, unique choir accompanies singer Chris Harms, whose multi-dimensional voice delivers the haunting lyrics straight into the listener’s mind more strongly than ever. Songs like “Your Star Has Led You Astray” or “Born With a Broken Heart” easily manage to keep the balance between harsh vocals, the distorted sound of fuzz guitars and an overall dark atmosphere that LORD OF THE LOST is known for, whilst “Death Is Just a Kiss Away”, “My Constellation” and closing “Work of Salvation”, for example, put grand piano tunes, authentic strings and the sound of a massive organ recorded in a church in the most suitable focus.

JUDAS marks the successor of chart-breaking Thornstar (2018, #6 GER), and again breathes the innovative spirit of five musicians who are far away from setting boundaries into their very own unique art. LORD OF THE LOST has never been that type of creative force that’s pinned to any specific genre and has succeeded in surprising fans and critics with their nonconformism repeatedly over the years. With their new album JUDAS, LORD OF THE LOST manage to thematically blur the lines between good and evil and put the so called “salvific treason” into a harmonious soundscape unlike ever heard before - truly an magnum opus!

JUDAS will be available in North America in the following formats:

HARDLINE ANNOUNCES NEW STUDIO ALBUM "HEART, MIND AND SOUL" - DUE JULY 9, 2021

HARDLINE ANNOUNCES NEW STUDIO ALBUM

"HEART, MIND AND SOUL" DUE JULY 9, 2021

'FUEL TO THE FIRE' SINGLE + VIDEO OUT NOW

Hardline have announced the release of their new studio album, "Heart, Mind And Soul" on July 9, 2021 via Frontiers Music Srl. Today, the band has also announced the release of the first single and video from the album, 'Fuel To The Fire'. Watch it HERE.

Pre-order/save CD/Color LP/Digital HERE: https://orcd.co/hardline

"This album is a true reflection of who we are and what we care about. I’m always amazed, despite what some critics may say, that we have the strength and power to push through the way we believe and want to. That will never change with this band. It’s a very, very special band chemistry we have here," says vocalist Johnny Gioeli.

Of the first single from the album, Gioeli says, "'Fuel To The Fire' was inspired by that one person who just knows how to push your buttons. You know who you are....the last word...always right. We have all had that person in our life at some point. This song takes a lyric twist as I add MY fuel to the fire. Enjoy....and use it as therapy the next time someone gets under your skin who doesn't deserve to be there."

Ever since the release of their widely heralded album “Danger Zone” in 2012, Hardlinehave been offering a straight-ahead, gritty, riff-based melodic hard rock sound which is a continuing evolution from what was on offer in the band's early days. What you get here on their new studio album is a group of musicians who are perfectly gelled as a unit and determined to display a sound that is immediate and powerful. Adding their own personality and imprint to the music, the band has created a perfect balance between these anthemic, hard rocking songs. You can expect hook after hook and riff after riff as you take a ride with Hardline via "Heart, Mind And Soul".

Singer Johnny Gioeli, as usual, is in supreme form, providing a soaring vocal performance to stir up the listener. Complementing that, Mario Percudani’s guitar is on fire and the super tight rhythm section of Anna Portalupi and Marco Di Salvia is locked in. Alessandro Del Vecchio's immeasurable contribution on keyboards, background vocals, and production serve to tie the whole package together. He is, rightfully and deservedly, one of the “go to” guys in the melodic hard rock scene and this record shows, once again, why.

"Heart, Mind And Soul" is an album you can’t turn off, in my biased opinion. After writing it, recording it, mixing, mastering, planning, deciding....on and on, you would think we’d get sick of it. Not even close. One of my most favorite Hardline albums to date without question," says Gioeli.

Hardline evolved from being an up-and-coming Sunset Strip sensation featuring brothers Johnny (vocals) and Joey (guitar) Gioeli to a supergroup of sorts, featuring former Bad English members Neal Schon and Deen Castronovo, before finally settling in and becoming a band showcasing the incredible talents of the fabulous singer Johnny Gioeli with the production and songwriting skills of Alessandro Del Vecchio (Revolution Saints, Jorn, etc.), the shredding talents of guitarist Mario Percudani, and the powerful rhythm section made up of bassist Anna Portalupi and drummer Marco Di Salvia. What truly makes Hardline special is how well their unique and different talents blend together to form a spectacular whole.

"Heart, Mind And Soul” is simply an album you can’t miss if you love melodic hard rock, but what else would you expect from a new Hardline album? They are, after all, masters of the genre.

The band plans to hit the road once touring resumes post-pandemic, so take the time to learn all of these future classics to sing along with Johnny soon enough!

"After we can finally say FU to Covid-19, Hardline is on the road with this album and we'll be in your face. You better pack a diaper, it could get messy when you hear this live," concludes Gioeli.

Line-up:

Johnny Gioeli – Lead Vocals

Alessandro Del Vecchio - Keyboards, Backing Vocals

Mario Percudani - Guitars

Anna Portalupi - Bass

Marco Di Salvia – Drums

It will see the band perform songs from Ωmega for the first time ever, along with the band’s most popular songs and some other surprises.

Says EPICA keyboardist, and the mastermind behind the event, Coen Janssen: “After releasing our new album Ωmega, we found ourselves with great new songs aching to be played live, but without a stage to perform them on. We still wanted to give our fans the best possible release show like we always do, so together with Jens de Vos from Panda Productions we came up with a way to bring the EPICA experience into the homes of the fans all over the world. Ωmega Alive is EPICA’s biggest show ever, and I can't be more proud of what it has become! We went all out on everything we have to offer and I can tell you it is one massive audio-visual spectacle! Immerse yourself in the world of EPICA and join us in Ωmega Alive!”

EPICA was formed by composer Mark Jansen after leaving After Forever in 2002, and the band quickly gained attention outside their home country, taking big steps towards becoming the leading symphonic metal superpower they have long proven to be. After their ambitious debut The Phantom Agony (2002) and the surprisingly eclectic sophomore work Consign To Oblivion (2005), the road took them to new heights via their first concept masterpiece The Divine Conspiracy (2007) and their global breakthrough Design Your Universe (2009). 2012’s opus Requiem For The Indifferent, 2014’s bedazzling The Quantum Enigma, and their finest, most embellished effort yet, The Holographic Principle (2016), cemented their reputation as not only one of the hardest working metal bands in the business but also as one of the best. Period. With Ωmega, the final part of the metaphysical trilogy they began with The Quantum Enigma, they reclaim the throne without so much as the blink of an eye, amassing 3 million-plus streams during the first week of the album’s release.

Ωmega is an album of unity, of friendship, of the close bond the members share. An album that naturally came together as a group effort. And no wonder: Mark Jansen, Simone Simons and keyboard player Coen Janssen have been playing together since EPICA’s conception in 2002, with drummer Ariën van Weesenbeek joining as early as 2007, lead guitarist Isaac Delahaye following in 2009. In 2012, bass player Rob van der Loo marked the latest addition to their ranks. For eight years, three records and hundreds of gigs, this band has formed an indestructible unit.

In the middle of a world in turmoil, of a cataclysmic change in society, EPICA somehow managed to create their most spectacular album yet. An album that is seamlessly bringing together metal and orchestra, choir and oriental instruments to a perfect storm constantly emitting goose bumps. A record with specifically written suites for orchestra and choir, featuring a wide range of ethnic instruments recorded around the world by some of the best native musicians out there. In short: They outdid themselves. Once again. And still managed to keep the songs approachable and wickedly catchy.

Since forming in 2002, the band has amassed an incredible amount of success, their current album Ωmega entered the album Top 10 in Germany, Holland, Belgium and Switzerland. EPICA has toured the globe, performing at venerable festivals including Wacken, Hellfest, Heaven & Hell Festival, Heavy MTL and Download, while also staging shows in countries where many metal bands have not played including South Korea, South Africa and Venezuela.

London indie rock-pop artist Distant Voices presents 'Stranger Among Friends' Debut album 'Long Road to Home' is out now

"Loud, swift, positive and loaded with youthful adventure... An uber-rad track with upbeat tempo and high expectations as the author sets off across Europe on a quest for fun and discovery. We love it and so will you" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

"Hybrid child of Iggy Pop and Kenny Logins, this is one artist who should definitely be on your radar for 2021. High energy, positive vibes, and a vivacity that makes you want to get on the dance floor and rip it!" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

"A styled hook and a vibrant sense of musical self" ~ Jammerzine

London-based indiepop artist Distant Voices presents 'Stranger Among Friends', a catchy track stemming from a European junket motivated by Brexit regret and the sense of social separation, which has taken on a whole new meaning under the conditions of the current pandemic.

Distant Voices is the solo project of Valdis Stekelis, who wrote and began writing these tracks in 2019, finally finishing a year later due to the delayed realities of the UK lockdown. The band name itself was chosen during that period to reflect these unusual times, where live music (as we have previously experienced it) is a scarce occurrence and where we consume music with a less personal connection to the people making it.

'Stranger Among Friends' is one of nine tracks released on Distant Voices' debut album 'Long Road To Home', all inspired by Stekelis' travels in the pre-Covid era. Earlier, he previewed the high-velocity rock n' roll lead single 'Lights of The City' with accompanying video by Alit Gonzalez.

"Stranger Among Friends emerged from the feeling of being homesick and just general events that happened while I was visiting Berlin. Certain themes crop up throughout the album, like meeting people for a while and then saying goodbye and never seeing them again. Brexit was on my mind when I took this trip. I went to see the European Parliament and the UN in Geneva for this reason," says Valdis Stekelis.

"At the end of the trip, I had a strong sense that this travel would not happen again in the way it did due to the point I was at in life, but i did not realise that everything would be restricted in the way we are now with Covid / lockdowns. I am very pleased retrospectively that I chose to do it when I did and it seems more significant than before to me in light of where we are now".

The 'Long Road To Home' LP was recorded at EAS Studios near London in collaboration with producer-engineer Ed Sokolowski, known for his work on albums by Melanie C, Fleur East, Hugel, David Archuleta and Lukas Rieger. Sokolowki mixed and mastered this album, as well as co-producing it with Stekelis. Joe Montague also contributes drums on multiple tracks.

"This is the first body of work completed under the Distant Voices name, which I am very keen for people to hear and hope that they will enjoy it. The album was inspired by events that happened during my journey around Europe in 2019 and, in fact, they appear chronologically in the track listing," says Valdis Stekelis.

"There is a range of different feeling tracks on the album – from lively to melancholy and also psychedelic. They are tied together - both in terms of the subject matter and also due to the underlying elements of a retro feel with electronic flavour. It was a lot of fun to make and is truly inspired by events that really affected me at the time".

'The 'Long Road to Home' album is out now digitally available everywhere including Spotify and Apple Music, and can already be pre-ordered from the artist via Bandcamp.

New single from Bristol's MODESTY BLAISE (Baroque pop)

Bristol's Modesty Blaise present 'And The Lights Went Out All Over Town' in support of first album in 20 years

"Clever they are Modesty Blaise – they know just what to borrow, and just what to create. Most importantly – they know just how to blend and what a cocktail they create here on this album, from track to track, from strength to strength" ~ The Spill Magazine

"Modesty Blaise makes for cheeky pop perfection... Fantabulous dance-pop, Modesty Blaise will remind you that Brits are the king of wit and groovy retro-laced musical wanderings, not far from the mark set by Pulp back in the 90s" ~ Big Takeover Magazine

“A sublime sugar lump... captures what is great about charming English pop. Part C86 part 67 psych pop, a beautifully written slice of nostalgia" ~ Monolith Cocktail

"This will lure you in... This is the new Pulp - but with steller retro flair that, both sound and fashion-wise, runs deeper than Jarvis Cocker's own wardrobe" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

Bristol-based Avant indiepop outfit Modesty Blaise present 'And The Lights Went Out All Over Town', the closing track on ‘The Modesty Blaise’ LP, the band's first album since emerging from a 20-year hiatus. This track presents a vision of a dystopian present, rather than future, and an indictment of how the military/industrial complex has led us all to the point of ecological destruction. Or else it's a little tune about a funny episode when Modesty Blaise’s hard rocking caused a club’s fuses to blow in the middle of a gig.... Or both.

Produced by Dorothy Collins with support from cinematographer M.M. Van Dyke, this video was made during lockdown with a minuscule carbon footprint.

The indiepop outfit recently released this long-awaited third album via German label From Lo-Fi to Disco! This baroque pop collection is the band's first long-player in 20 years, having released their head-turning 'Melancholia' LP in 2001, featuring hit single 'Carol Mountain'.

Earlier, the band previewed a handful of singles, including the 'Come Lie Beside Me', lead single 'Girls Just Wanna Dance' (a perfect orchestral pop song and live favourite singalong that is more Music Hall than Dance Hall), 'Sad Songs', 'I Love You' and 'Natalie Vendredi' (with its endearing nouvelle vague video).

Modesty Blaise have been around for a few decades in various guises. After forming in 1993, the band quickly recorded their debut single 'Christina Terrace' with the esteemed Edwyn Collins at the helm, garnering them immediate success with a live appearance on ITV and inclusion among many many end-of-year top music rankings. This acclaim however was not enough to quell the kind of internecine warfare that Modesty Blaise have become famous for.

After 'Melancholia', the band faced one delay after another with line-up changes and deteriorating personal circumstances. An all-too-familiar spiral, the years went by slowly but, no matter how bad it got, Jonny still had his guitars in his mum’s attic.

"Melody, arrangement and counter melodies... The 3 minute pop single is, I’d contest, the summit of great art. It is timeless, and we consistently get it wrong confusing art with commerce. If your art (or your pop record) sounds like today, it may sound like yesterday pretty soon. Pop iconoclasm," says Jonny Collins.

Oher Modesty Blaise career highlights include supporting Robbie Williams at London's O2 Arena, inclusion in a Rough Trade compilation, an ITV company documentary on Jonny Collins, and a BBC Radio session involving seventeen people.

'The Modesty Blaise' LP is out now, available digitally everywhere, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon. The physical album can be ordered from Rough Trade in the UK, hhv in Germany, Disk Union in Japan and also via the label itself.

THE PLAYERS
Jonny Collins – vocals
David W Brown – bass
Gregory Jones – guitars
Mark Bradley – drums

OUT TODAY: 'Font of Human Fractures' LP from Brighton's NICK HUDSON (THE ACADEMY OF SUN) - RIYL Coil, Kate Bush, Laibach, D

Brighton's Nick Hudson (The Academy of Sun) releases 'Font of Human Fractures' LP
“Nick Hudson is a unique talent. His song writing and performances are breathtaking. He is long overdue being heard by a wider audience. This solo album is a peak in an already stellar career” ~ Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai)

“Scott Walker channeling Coil” ~ MOJO Magazine

"Surreal and spacey... Eerie and wonderful, with great depth" ~ The Spill Magazine

"The intimacy of a musical diary as well as an epic theatrical fascination... thrilling tension between its thematic juxtapositions and arrangements of diverse acoustic, electric, and synthetic instrumentation" ~ No Ripcord

“Genius” - BBC Radio (BBC Introducing)

"A song-suite of liberation, violence and ambition that is rich in promise and dizzying in its potential" ~ The Quietus

"Highly melodic and cutting-edge pop experimentalism" ~ Amplify Music Magazine

Brighton-based singer-songwriter Nick Hudson presents his new album 'Font of Human Fractures', a neo-classical record with electronic undertones that is a kaleidoscopic and emotionally transparent document of the search for self-worth – and ultimately love – in a thorny, unevenly-stacked world.

Hudson's first album in five years, it was recorded and mastered at Church Road Studios by Paul Pascoe (Barry Adamson, Beat Hotel), this 10-track offering is Hudson's first solo studio LP since 'Ganymede In A State Of War' (2016).

Scored almost entirely for piano and two violins, this new release is a ruminative melting pot from the point of view of a queer man in his late thirties. It sees him converse with younger versions of himself, negotiating himself free of toxic programming and banishing the inhibitions that can blight, dull and impotize the best of us.

The centrepiece 'Surkov's Dream' is a 7-minute requiem for legendary Italian homosexual Marxist filmmaker, poet and essayist Pier Paolo Pasolini – written from the perspective of the Alfa Romeo implicated in the artist's controversial murder. It features a MIDI instrument constructed from samples of bass pedals from the vast church organ of St Mary's Brighton.

Other highlights include 'There is No Such Thing as You' and 'Tokyo Nights', a song originally written and performed by Nick's aunt Mae Fortune with her Banshees-esque 80s post-punk group and John Peel fave Room 101. 'Teenage Hudson Summons Epona' featured a short instrumental salvaged from a cassette of fantasy music recorded when Nick was sixteen – a literal dialogue with Nick's teenage self.

Several week ago, Hudson released the 'Come Back When There's Nothing Left' EP, a 3-track collection entailing a double A-side and a unique take on Oingo Boingo's 'Not My Slave' as the B-side. The lead track features vocals by Toby Driver of legendary NYC avant-garde group Kayo Dot in a haunting meditation on taking responsibility for one's one spiritual housekeeping – whilst also celebrating the work of queer horror maestro Clive Barker. The stunning accompanying video was directed by acclaimed Scottish novelist Ewan Morrison.

Nick Hudson is a prolific figure on the UK underground music scene and is perhaps best known as frontman of art-rock band The Academy Of Sun, who released their dystopian epic 'The Quiet Earth' last year to critical acclaim. Apart from music, Nick's vast output also encompasses painting, film, and he has just completed his first novel.

Hudson has also collaborated with Wayne Hussey (The Mission) and Matthew Seligman (Bowie, Tori Amos, Morrissey), as well as members of NYC's Kayo Dot, David Tibet (Current 93), Asva and Canadian queercore icon GB Jones. As The Academy Of Sun, he has also collaborated with Massive Attack's Shara Nelson. Having toured 3 continents, highlights include appearances with Mogwai, Toby Driver and Keith Abrams of Kayo Dot, and Timba Harris (Mr Bungle, Amanda Palmer).

As of April 30, the 'Font of Human Fractures' album will be available on vinyl and digitally via Spotify and Apple Music. Both are also available directly from the artist via Bandcamp.

L.A. GUNS ANNOUNCES NEW LIVE ALBUM

"COCKED & LOADED LIVE" DUE JULY 9, 2021

LIVE VERSION OF 'MALARIA' OUT TODAY

NEW STUDIO ALBUM DUE LATER THIS YEAR

L.A. Guns, featuring Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns, have announced that they will release a new live album, "Cocked & Loaded Live" on July 9, 2021. As the title implies, the performance celebrates the band's treasured second album, "Cocked & Loaded". Fans can get their first taste of the performance with the track 'Malaria'. Cocked & Loaded Live" will precede the release of a brand new studio album from Lewis, Guns, and company, which is due this fall. More details on that in the coming weeks.

Pre-order "Cocked & Loaded Live" on CD/Color Vinyl/Digital HERE: https://orcd.co/lagunslive

As everyone knows at this point, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has dealt a difficult blow to the entire live music business. While artists, road crews, venues, and fans all collectively eagerly await a return to normalcy, artists have gotten busy bringing live music to fans' living rooms. While they had just commenced work on an upcoming new studio album, in November 2020, L.A. Guns wanted to get together and do one of the things they love most, which is play a 'live' show. The band announced a special gig at the Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas, NV that would celebrate the 31st anniversary of their beloved album, “Cocked and Loaded”.

L.A. Guns, aka Phil Lewis, Tracii Guns, Ace Von Johnson, Johnny Martin, and Scotty Coogan, thus performed a one of a kind show which was streamed worldwide to fans in the comfort of their own homes. The band performed all the classic proper studio tracks from Cocked & Loaded and, as usual, delivered a killer show. Picking right up where they left off from their previous incessant touring cycles and relieved to finally be onstage again, the band tore through all the classic album tracks that fans know and love. From "Rip and Tear” to "Never Enough” to "The Ballad of Jayne” to "I Wanna Be Your Man" and “Malaria,” this was a primal, visceral performance. And while celebrating a milestone in their career, the band also acknowledged the present and played “Speed” from their more recent album “The Missing Peace”.

"Cocked & Loaded" remains a gem of a truly special and unique era in hard rock music. These incredible and killer renditions of timeless songs captured in a moment and setting that none of us will not soon forget are now preserved for all to enjoy again or for the first time.

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX Announces New EP, Reveals First Single

Progressive rock collective CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX will be releasing a new EP, 'Painful Reminder / Dead is Dead' on July 16 via Season of Mist! The cover art and track list can be found below. In celebration of the EP, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX has now shared the first single, which is a cover of SNFU's "Painful Reminder," along with a music video accompaniment.

In further news, CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX is welcoming vocalist/lyricist Joel Segerstedt to the lineup. The band comments:

"The first thing we’re doing after 'Ellengæst' is a special single. A cover version of the classic SNFU song 'Painful Reminder.' And it features new vocalist/lyricist Joel Segerstedt. He joins the band to be the male voice and the contrast to Belinda Kordic in the female/male dynamic which is now an integral part of the CBP sound. Being a Stockholm resident, it seems all the more serendipitous that we find each other. And after hearing his vocal talent in his other band The Open Up And Bleeds, we knew Joel could be the missing piece of the jigsaw.

"This release is a way of introducing Joel to our crowd while at the same time, paying tribute to the SNFU vocalist Mr Chi Pig. The song was already on the shortlist of cover song ideas Justin (Greaves) keeps in his pocket, but now was the time to do it because of the sad passing of Chi Pig in 2020. It seemed the right thing to pay our respects to a talented and underrated singer/lyricist and unique character in the punk rock world.
"

The EP is available now for pre-orders HERE.

“One thing we’ll never do is stick to the rules and stay within the box.”

Such are the words from Crippled Black Phoenix founder, songwriter and guitarist Justin Greaves, who has guided this progressive, thought-provoking, shape-shifting musical collective since their 2004 formation. Their new effort, Ellengæst, follows a recent pattern of the band in releasing a mini-album in between studio LPs. It is the direct result of their ceaseless creativity — when Greaves has songs, Crippled Black Phoenix records them. Ellengæst has the difficult task of following 2018’s profound and moving Great Escape. Ellengæst, though, does not make any attempts in pairing with or succeeding Great Escape. Circumstances largely prevented it anyway.

On the day tracking started for Ellengæst, Crippled Black Phoenix — completed by vocalist and lyricist Belinda Kordic, guitarist Andy Taylor and multi-instrumentalist Helen Stanley —suddenly, unexpectedly found themselves without a male lead vocalist and keyboardist. Whereas events of a similar thread would spell doom for most bands, Greaves took it as an opportunity to tap into his deep network of musician friends. Before he knew it, several prominent guest vocalists were secured, ready and able to lend their considerable talents to Ellengæst: Anathema’s Vincent Cavanagh, Gaahls Wyrd’s Kristian “Gaahl” Espedal, Coliseum/Fotocrime/one-time Crippled Black Phoenix touring bassist Ryan Patterson, up-and-coming U.K. solo artist Suzie Stapleton and Tribulation’s Jonathan Hultén.

“It all came together really easy, to be honest,” says Greaves. “Because we’re working with people that you’ve got a connection where you see things the same way or you wouldn’t get along as friends. When it comes from an artistic standpoint, we’re already on the same page. It all just weirdly worked out. It’s not like I had to go out and think, ‘Okay, who do I know that could sing on this song that sounds like this?’ It was just like, ‘I’ve got a bunch of songs that we’ve always talked about doing something with. Which song would this singer suit?’”

Ellengæst, which in Olde English - with some scandinavian connection - translates as “strong spirit” and another reference as “mischievous demon”,represents Crippled Black Phoenix’s duality. “It comes from the same place, but with different connotations,” says Greaves. “That’s this band in a nutshell. We’ve had to stay strong because of all the BS we’ve encountered, yet we’re still going and subversive. It’s like we’re giving kids candy with razor blades in them.”

Tackling themes of the human condition and the perpetual internal struggles people face, Ellengæst begins with Cavanagh pairing with Kordic on “House of Fools” and “Lost,” the two switching lead vocal responsibilities for each song. Gaahl’s appearance on “In the Night” was born from his long-standing relationship with Greaves, the two men grew close after countless late tour nights in hotel rooms chatting the evening away. Gaahl, whose vocal exploits are often limited to black metal circles, was given “In the Night” because Greaves thought he could do something unique with the track.

“He doesn’t do these sorts of things; he doesn’t collaborate very often, if at all,” he says. “Kristian confessed to me that this is the first time he’s done something like this. When he sent me the files, he then called me up and asked if it was okay. He explained, ‘I did it in a spoken word because the song is stoic and melancholy.’ He hit the nail right on the head. Then you have Belinda doing her angelic vocals over it. You have the light and the dark represented.”

Patterson and Stapleton blend seamlessly on the momentous “Cry of Love,” while Kordic casts yet another heart-rendering vocal spell across “Everything I Say.” Yet another surprise comes in the form of Hultén’s trance-inducing, but soaring performance on “The Invisible Past.” A cover of Bauhaus’s “She’s in Parties” sung by Kordic rounds out the set.

Crippled Black Phoenix are no strangers to adversity, making the events surrounding the creation of Ellengæst yet another roadblock for a band whose very existence has been threatened on more than a few occasions. Their unique setup and stubborn refusal to bow to musical norms may confuse the casual music consumer. However, the core of Crippled Black Phoenix — Greaves, Kordic, Taylor and Stanley — thrives on the unconventional, remaining steadfastly singular and undefinable. Accordingly, Greaves believes this incarnation of Crippled Black Phoenix is the strongest to date. All it took was another dramatic sea-change to prove it.

“This was the best thing that could have happened to us,” he says. “Before, there was this horrible cloud of drama following us. There was always something going on. Once that had gone and the people who were on the outside of the band who were a part of that, once they had gone and the drama had gone, me and Helen found ourselves tracking in the studio in the first session. We just got on with it; we didn’t think twice. In the second session, we just felt liberated. We just knew, ‘This is going to be great.’ We’re all so excited about the possibilities. It feels like we’re rejuvenated.”

- KNOTFEST (USA) -

This Friday, April 30 marks the highly-anticipated release of Unstable, the groundbreaking sophomore full-length release by Los Angeles based breakout metal stars TETRARCH!

In celebration, the band is following up on their three huge singles "I'm Not Right", "You Never Listen" and "Negative Noise" with their fourth and final pre-album release single, "Addicted". The truly massive, spine-tingling endeavor showcases the captivatingly brooding and introspective side of TETRARCH, rounding out a dynamic group of hits.

Frontman and guitarist Josh Fore says:

"'Addicted' is a song about being consumed by something in life that to the outside eye may appear detrimental or dangerous. Even as our world may be spiraling away from us into chaos there’s something that draws us towards our obsessions. 'Now I can see that the joke is on me' is that moment of self-awareness: that we cannot escape who we are and that we are stuck in our own addictions."

Watch the brand new visualizer for “Addicted

This just in – TETRARCH is thrilled to announce that they’ll be performing with the likes of Chevelle, Sevendust and more on Saturday, June 26 in Oshkosh, WI at Ford Park Live, and Sunday, June 27 in Hoffman Estates, IL at Now Arena! Socially distanced pods are on sale this Friday at 11:00AM EDT. For more information, go to https://www.nowarena.com/ or https://fordparklive.com!

Upon release, TETRARCH's debut single, “I’m Not Right” cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over four million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single "You Never Listen" is quickly rising up the Active Rock charts with SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country's leading active rock outlets supporting, while in less than one month, most recent single "Negative Noise" has already garnered over 550,000 views on YouTube and counting, and has become one of the most highly-spun tracks currently airing on SiriusXM Liquid Metal.

Produced by the band and Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegaeon, Khemmis), Unstable follows the band’s breakout debut Freak (2017). The new album shines not only as a natural step forward for TETRARCH, but a giant leap ahead – an even more focused effort combining bright flourishes, grooving low-end and soaring choruses. Unstable wastes no time igniting with the unforgettable, punching first single “I’m Not Right”. Boosted by frontman Josh Fore’s raw emotion and dynamic vocal style, the track pays homage to the genre’s greats while lifted by the eerie leads of trailblazing lead guitarist Diamond Rowe. Radio-ready, lyrically-relevant tracks like anti-bullying anthem for the ages “Sick Of You” and empowering “You Never Listen” showcase TETRARCH’s hefty progressions and unforgettable choruses. Unstable’s heaviest offerings prove the band’s dynamic assault of varying heavy styles, most notedly on assertive breakneck burner “Negative Noise” – a track that will turn the heads of metal’s greatest riffers with Rowe’s mighty axe attack – and on the melodically chilling “Take A Look Inside”, highlighting the powerful rhythm section of bassist Ryan Lerner and drummer Ruben Limas. The album explores a brooding, introspective side of the band on the standout, melodic “Addicted” and closer track “Trust Me”, which trickles-in supernatural atmosphere. Delivering heavy hit after hit, Unstable is 10 tracks of pure potency and undeniable talent.

Lead guitarist Diamond Rowe says about the album:

“The album has an overall theme of self-reflection and really looking at the relationships or parts of yourself/your life that you don’t like and getting out of those situations. It’s an angsty record. Musically, we were not timid in showing that we refuse to be boxed in as artists, and I think we really came out swinging with showing the world the type of band that we want to be. Freak did great for us and showed us that the music we were making was something that people wanted to hear, and that gave us the confidence to write and record this beast of an album.”

About Black Label Society
Black Label Society bandleader Zakk Wylde wields his guitar like a Viking weapon, bashing out thick riffage and squeezing out expressive squeals as if the glory of his Berserker brotherhood depends upon every single note, which of course, it does.

Charismatic beast and consummate showman, Wylde puts his massive heart and earnest soul on display with unbridled, unchained, animalistic passion in Black Label Society, whether it’s a crushingly heavy blues-rock barnstormer or a piano-driven ode to a fallen brother. Each Black Label Society album is another opportunity to top the one before it, but like AC/DC or The Rolling Stones, BLS isn’t here to reinvent the wheel. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It’s a brand we can trust.

Mighty missives like “Damn the Flood,” “In This River,” “Stillborn,” “My Dying Time,” “Queen of Sorrow,” and “Blood is Thicker Than Water” have amassed millions of downloads and streams. They are the soundtracks to sweat-soaked revelry, jubilant evenings that descend into bewildering mornings, and adrenaline-fueled sports.

To many, Wylde is synonymous with pinch harmonics as much as Chuck Berry dreamt up the duck walk. Zakk’s signature Les Paul Bullseye guitar hangs in the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. His infamous leather bell bottoms hang in the Grammy Museum. His handprints are on Hollywood’s Rock Walk of Fame. He’s performed the National Anthem at major sporting events. He wrote the 2013 Major League Baseball theme for ESPN. He even momentarily joined Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff in Guns N’ Roses. He is a playable character in the Guitar Hero games.

A lifelong disciple of Black Sabbath and the longest-serving guitar-shredder for the Ozzman himself, Wylde co-wrote modern Ozzy Osbourne classics like “No More Tears,” “Mama I’m Coming Home,” “Road to Nowhere,” and “Miracle Man.” Together with Ozzy bassist Blasko and drummer Joey Castillo (ex-Queens Of The Stone Age), Wylde pays faithful tribute to the forefathers of metal as frontman for Zakk Sabbath.

One part invading horde and all parts traveling carnival party, Black Label Society traverses the world powered by caffeine and cacophony. BLS engages and inspires audiences everywhere they go, on every radio dial they burn, inviting all comers to join in and participate in their brotherhood and sisterhood of hard rock and vigor.

Now ten studio albums deep, with solo records, Ozzy shows, and Zakk Sabbath tours all kicking ass simultaneously, Black Label Society rides ever forward, fist held high.

Black Label Society is: Zakk Wylde - Vocals, Guitar / John DeServio - Bass /
Dario Lorina - Guitar / Jeff Fabb - Drums

UK Thrash Metal Powerhouse EVILE Releases Video for New Single “The Thing (1982)”!

New Album, Hell Unleashed, out this Friday on Napalm Records

Pre-Order HERE

This Friday, April 30 will see British thrash metal heavyweights EVILE release their brand new studio album, Hell Unleashed, via Napalm Records – the band’s first album in eight long years! Since their formation in 2004, EVILE have been turning heads and taking names, delivering four pure thrash offerings blended with an uncompromising death metal assault. Hell Unleashed, the long-awaited successor to their 2013 release Skull, will make no exception – but this time, the album features a new exciting line-up formation of Ol Drake on vocals/guitars and new member Adam Smith of RipTide as rhythm guitarist.

Today, the band has released a final single before the album drops – the thunderous new track “The Thing (1982)”! Intoxicating guitars build up to an unconditional, heavy storm of thrash metal: “The Thing (1982)” and its razor-sharp arrangement delivers another rousing aspect of EVILE’s new album. Bold cinematic influences merge with breakneck speed riffs and Ol Drake’s brute, unyielding vocals, highlighting EVILE’s potent musical expertise.

Watch/listen to the new single “The Thing (1982)”

EVILE vocalist/guitarist Ol Drake comments:

"The third and final single from Hell Unleashed is not only based on my favorite movie of all time, but it's a strong contender for my favorite song off the album. This track goes through so many cool changes, with frenetic vocals which mirror the subject matter, and we couldn't be prouder of not only this song, but the entire album it's featured on. Blast "The Thing" as loud as you can!"

Hell Unleashed is a raucous and masterful thrash metal attack! In just 41 minutes, the album unchains the unbridled forces of hell, catches some rousing demons of the past, and provides classical thrash metal with a contemporary yet hard-edged touch. The newly staffed four-piece strikes again on nine explosive tracks, leaving nothing but a hammering world of sound taken apart by thrash. Endangering guitar lines, which quickly build up to a furious thrash manifesto and attack the eardrum at breakneck speed, meet the merciless velocity EVILE are known and loved for.

Hell Unleashed was produced by Chris Clancy at Backstage Studios, UK, and not only features explosive guest backing vocals from actor, comedian and musicians Brian Posehn, but also includes a cover song:

Ol Drake adds:

"This is the first album EVILE have done that includes a cover song in the tracklisting. I've been a big fan of death metal for a long time, and seeing as this album is on the more extreme side of thrash vocally and musically, we thought it was a perfect opportunity to cover Mortician's 'Zombie Apocalypse'. It has one of the greatest riffs in it!

We're also very excited about the return of the legendary Michael Whelan (Sepultura, Obituary, Stephen King) as cover artist. He did the art for our second album and he's always a pleasure to work with."

Pre-Order Hell Unleashed NOW:

In North America, Hell Unleashed will be available in LP format in black vinyl, as well as in limited edition red vinyl (limited to 200), CD Jewel Case and digital formats.

Limited Diehard Edition: LP Splatter Red/White + Artprint, Patch - limited to 100

In just 41 minutes, Hell Unleashed unchains the unbridled forces of hell, catches some rousing demons of the past and provides classical thrash metal with a contemporary yet hard-edged touch. EVILE are back – straight from the abyss!

EVILE is:

OL Drake - Vocals & Lead Guitar

Ben Carter - Drums

Joel Graham - Bass

Adam Smith - Rhythm Guitar

THY CATAFALQUE Reveals New Single, "Szarvas"

Avant-Garde entity THY CATAFALQUE will be releasing its tenth masterpiece, 'Vadak,' on June 25! The Hungarian mastermind is now unveiling the second new single, "Szarvas," which can be heard at THIS LOCATION. The track is also available for pre-saving on all other digital platforms HERE.

Mastermind Tamás Kátai comments on the new album and track: "This is our second song from the album and it's much darker in tone. Clean vocals are by Gábor Dudás from our fellow Hungarians, Reason and well, you can hear Martina as well somewhere in the background. She'll be here in her full prime for the next song, I promise."

Pre-orders are now liveHERE

THY CATAFALQUE’s humble genius Tamás Kátai abandons any and all prenotions of tradition. Intertwining elements from a vast swath of unrelated genres, from jazz to pop to folk, and everything in between, THY CATAFALQUE masterfully crafts an eclectic sound that breaks down any generic barriers or borders. Following the massive success of 2020’s critically-acclaimed ‘Naiv,’ the entity returns with ‘Vadak,’ another esoteric monument in its already storied catalog.

Meaning “Wildlings” in Hungarian, the album title is a deliberate clue to the exotic and feral essence of ‘Vadak.’ Like seedlings scattered throughout the forest by the mere forces of nature, THY CATAFALQUE’s imaginative sound grows with an organic sense of whimsy, cultivated within the vast influences of our megacosm. Thematically, ‘Vadak’ is a foreboding lesson in mortality. Emphasizing the fragility that is shared by man and beast alike, the record explores our Freudian life instincts, in which we inherently fear and run from the ultimate goal of existence: death.

Originally, THY CATAFALQUE emerged as a black metal band founded by singer/keyboard player Tamás Kátai with the aid of guitarist/bassist János Juhász. Following their joined debut 'Sublunary Tragedies' (1999), the Hungarians evolved into quite different directions, but steadily gaining more followers in the process through the following albums, 'Microcosmos' (2001) and the self-released 'Tűnő idő tárlat' (2004).

On their fourth full-length, 'Róka hasa Rádió' (2009), THY CATAFALQUEinvited Ágnes Tóth from neo-folk outfit THE MOON AND THE NIGHTSPIRIT and Attila Bakos to add their haunting vocals. With fifth album 'Rengeteg' (2011), Tamás Kátai finally went solo with the help of guest musicians that again included Ágnes Tóth an Attila Bakos. Dubbing his eclectic musical amalgamation avant-garde metal, the Hungarian explored new sonic possibilities with 'Sgùrr' (2015). The sixth full-length turned out to be slightly more complex than its successor, 'Meta' (2016), which returned to a more direct approach without losing the steadily growing sonic diversity. In 2018, THY CATAFALQUE continued this path with the release of ‘Geometria’. THY CATAFALQUE delivered another spectacular musical mosaic with their ninth full-length entitled ‘Naiv’, inspired by the “Naïve Art” movement.

At its core, ‘Vadak’ expresses the familiar hallmarks that are unique to only THY CATAFALQUE, and yet, it is an unpredictable magnum opus, showcasing the latest evolution from Kátai and his esteemed co-conspirators. The album puts forth an elegance that cannot be matched or rivaled by any musical contemporary, taking fans on an adventure that is rife with excitement, drama, and unbridled craftsmanship.

One of Canada’s most beloved and iconic hard rock bands , Coney Hatch first rose to prominence back in the golden era when vinyl was king – and the preferred format of most music fans.

So, it makes perfect sense for Coney Hatch – Carl Dixon (guitars/vocals), Andy Curran (bass / vocals ), Dave Ketchum (drums, vocals) and Sean Kelly (Guitar /vocals) – to finally release their first ever long awaited live record on a 2 LP vinyl set. The set list reads like a “best of” for any Coney fan including songs from their debut classic 1982 Anthem / Mercury album along with selections from “Outa Hand 1983, Friction 1985 and Coney Hatch Four 2017. Coney Hatch enjoyed major radio airplay success in Canada and the USA in the early 80’s and with the help of MTV landed many prestigious special guest slots touring along side Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Krokus, Accept, Ted Nugent, Cheap Trick, Peter Frampton, Triumph, The Tubes and Edgar Winter to name a few. They became instant press darlings with Kerrang Magazine & Sounds but didn’t actually tour overseas until 2014, where they headlined Firefest in Nottingham UK.

This first ever Coney Hatch Live record set is available independently now through the bands official web-store- https://rockpapermerch.com/collections/coney-hatch as well as Isotope distribution https://www.isotopemusic.com/contact.html for retail.

That album was also the highest-charting of the band’s career and earned them a Gold certification in Canada.

“We’re really proud of Live at The El Mocambo. It ’s our first ever live record record and it captures the spirit and true sound of our band. There's some really great moments from our return to the iconic El Mocambo and it would not have happened without the passion of Elmo CEO Michael Wekerle…huge high five to Wek! ” - Andy Curran.
