Icelandic black metal formation AUÐN has released  "Verður von að bráð," the third and final single from their upcoming full-length, 'Vökudraumsins fangi.' The song can be found along with a visualizer, which was created by Andri Björn Birgisson

AUÐN comments on the track: "We present to you the third single from our upcoming album, 'Vökudraumsins fangi.' In these premieres, we wanted to showcase as many different elements as possible. This song in some ways treads uncharted  territory for us as we welcome the more catchy, driven aspects of heavy music into our world of melancholy and grief ridden soundscapes. 'Verður von að bráð' is an unforgiving journey into the vast frozen wastes of the unknown and the euphoric feeling when the cold takes a hold of you when you've reached the point of no return, when you forsake all logic and give into the welcoming embrace of death."

'Vökudraumsins fangi' is due on October 30. Pre-orders are now live in the Season of Mist shop HERE.

As the country's vibrant black metal scene has proven, Iceland can be a beautiful and sinister place where furious elements rage teaching fear but also inspiring human creativity. Emphasizing melodies rather than dissonance and approaching their music from a dramatic, classical black metal angle, AUÐNdeliver another mesmerizing piece of art with ‘Vökudraumsins fangi’.

Hailing from the village of Hveragerði in the south of Iceland, AUÐN deliver haunting melodies and beautifully frozen atmospheres – as opposed to the jarring and caustic blunt force trauma that has brought this remote place in the Northern Atlantic to the black metal forefront.

Founded in 2010, AUÐN's talent was quick to be recognized. After the release of the self-titled debut, the band got invited to Iceland’s main metal event, the Eistnaflug Festival. They participated and won the local Wacken Metal Battle contest in 2016, while making it to the top three during the infamous Wacken Open Air festival itself. Shows at the prestigious Inferno and Roadburn festivals followed in 2017.

The second full-length, 'Farvegir Fyrndar' was released in November 2017, continuing the band’s fast ascent. Highly praised by the international metal press, the sophomore record reached back to a more classic second-generation black metal approach combined with a sense of elegance and melancholy that one can feel while dwelling among the bleak, extraordinary landscapes of the island.

The Icelanders embarked on European tours with label mates GAAHL’S WYRD in 2017 and THE GREAT OLD ONES (2017 and 2018) and captivated festival audiences at the biggest European fests, such as Copenhell, Summer Breeze Open Air, Eurosonic Noorderslag, Roskilde, Eindhoven Metal Meeting and more.

Returning with ‘Vökudraumsins fangi’, AUÐN explore new soundscapes and push their music to new heights, thereby setting themselves further apart from their Icelandic contemporaries. The six piece draws inspirations from their natural surroundings, but also chart the territory of the mind. The album title literally translates to ‘prisoner of the daydream’, but rather refers to a perpetual state of delusion of a life that never took place.

Join AUÐN while traversing the blurred lines between reality and the supernatural and the otherworldly sceneries of their native Iceland.

NO FLAG Set to Unite with "Raise No Flag"!

Become The Movement: Store/Merch: https://www.noflag.co/collections/no-flag-ground-zero-drop Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/NoFlag Instagram: https://insta...

India based Indie Hip Hop band NO FLAG, led by bombastic rap artist Raoul Kerr (Bloodywood), has released the third and final single, "Raise No Flag," off of their debut EP, The Guerrilla Games.

The movement uses music videos to unite people for a cause, with the help of individuals and organizations that offer real world solutions, and the strength of an audience ready to help; No Flag is ultimately going to go beyond the music to create a long lasting, real world impact.

Their latest video "Raise No Flag" is a rallying cry for the world to continue to work together after we overcome COVID19. It's an international call to arms against the climate emergency and every global injustice faced by humanity today. It also marks the Official Launch of the No Flag movement.

The Guerrilla Games is a three track EP by Raoul Kerr. It derives its name from "guerrilla warfare" which is "the engagement in a war fought by small groups of irregular soldiers against typically larger regular forces". In the context of the EP it describes the nature of the No Flag movement as a digital army of people across the world that is using pop culture, the internet and focused mass action to dismantle the current system that serves a few, in order to create a new system that benefits everyone.

The first track, "Exhale," draws attention to the air pollution crisis of New Delhi and is an appeal to the government to take serious action.

The second track, "The Nation Needs To Know," uses a rabid news anchor to highlight the systemwide corruption of India that extends beyond politics, and is a call to action for everybody to take responsibility and build a better nation.

The third and final track, "Raise No Flag," marks the launch of the No Flag movement. It is a rallying cry for the world to continue to work together after we defeat COVID19 as well as an international call to arms against the climate emergency and every global injustice faced by humanity today. The EP highlights different levels of an individual's responsibility. The three songs progress from issues at state level, to national and then international level. The message is that we have to work together at all three levels in order to comprehensively reshape the world. This EP is a blueprint for the movement.

Launched off the back of The Guerrilla games EP, No Flag's clothing and merchandise include the black and white No Flag Original, and limited editions in the form of the Guerrilla Games edition and One Love edition.

The No Flag Original is a 100% certified, environmentally responsible t-shirt and certified by Fair Trade and the Global Organic Textile Standard, made using Fair Trade, organic cotton which is grown using natural seeds and no toxic chemicals such as chemical fertilizers or pesticides. This results in energy and water saving, maintenance of soil health and less financial burdens on the farmers. It also ensures they are paid fair prices for their crops, along with an additional premium that they can use to build infrastructure for their communities or invest in new technology for their fields.

The factories that manufactured the t-shirts are also certified by Fair Trade, meaning better wages, no child labor or unsafe working conditions.

The No Flag Original was manufactured by an environmentally responsible t-shirt company: No Nasties.

Both limited editions (Guerrilla Games and One Love) are made from Fair trade organic cotton as well and are stepping stones on the way to a completely environmentally responsible line up. All of t-shirts are packaged in an organic cotton pouch which is sealed in a recycled paper box. The logo on the box is printed using water based ink.

Fair trade is an arrangement designed to help producers in developing countries achieve sustainable and equitable trade relationships. Members of the fair trade movement add the payment of higher prices to exporters, as well as improved social and environmental standards.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.

Alternative metal band, ALBORN, released a brand new single titled "Full Circle."

"Full Circle" can be streamed/downloaded at:

https://show.co/OJQqAe3

Alternative metal band, ALBORN, released a brand new single titled "Full Circle." The song was mixed by Elvis Baskette and produced by Jose Urqiuza (3 Years Hollow) and Morgan Rose (Sevendust).

The band recently signed a distribution deal with Imagen Records (ADA, Warner Music). and released their debut EP Impairative on August 28, 2020.

"One of the greatest things that can happen when it comes time to write lyrics for a song is when the song tells you what to say. This was absolutely the case with Full Circle. The song fed off so many emotions on it's own that it wrote itself lyrically. Full Circle is about getting stuck in a routine that keeps you from being what you want to be. Repetition is inevitable, but negative repetition is cancerous. It can be very difficult to step out of a comfort zone, but at some point we all have to understand that we deserve more in life" says Justin Taylor (Lead Vocals, Guitar).

“ALBORN RULES!” is a common war cry heard at any Midwestern Alborn show. The band’s fanbase is strong, travels relentlessly and grows with every performance.

Formed in 2016, Northern Illinois based alternative metal band Alborn consists of Justin Taylor (guitar/vocals), Alex Raser (drums/vocals), Zame Lewis (bass) and Nate Guske (guitar). Their sound has been compared to Deftones or a heavier version of Alice in Chains, but make no mistake, Alborn has created something unique, hard and melodic.

As a startup, Alborn existed only as a cover band under the name of Alborn Theory, but that’s not who they wanted to be. “I was working 70+ hours a week and my band was playing 4 hour shows ALL the time,” says Justin. The band shortened the name to Alborn and got to work creating the band they always envisioned. The hard labor paid off and resulted in them winning multiple Battle of the Bands competitions. For one of those, the grand prize was a studio session with Jose Urquiza of the band 3 Years Hollow and The Attic Recording Studios. As part of that session, another opportunity surfaced. Morgan Rose of Sevendust heard the demos and expressed interest in producing them.

As a result, in late 2018, Alborn tracked 10 original songs with Morgan and Jose. “I was brought in to do some producing with Alborn and what grabbed my attention immediately was that they refused to conform to a formula. They wanted to be themselves from the start. It’s rare to find a band so young not wanting to follow an easy trend. I was impressed right out of the gate," says Morgan Rose.

After tracking those 10 songs, Alborn started playing every live show they could and the fanbase just kept growing. In late 2019 and early 2020, Alborn started making moves. The band played a weekend of shows with Sevendust including a Champaign, IL, sellout. They then followed that up with sold out shows with Buckcherry and Adelitas Way. The momentum was building and so was the chatter. So much so, Imagen Records was interested in signing them. Meetings with radio executives were scheduled in New York and then... Covid 19 put the plans on hold.

In August 2020, the plans are no longer on hold. The band inked a distribution deal with Imagen Records (ADA, Warner Music) and released their debut EP, Impairative on August 28th. The EP contains 5 songs: 4 originals and one killer cover of Alice In Chains' "We Die Young." This is just the start for Alborn. It’s a matter of time before Covid 19 passes and you hear the war cry “ALBORN RULES!”at a live show near you.

ALBORN is:
Justin Taylor: Lead Vocals & Guitar
Nate Guske: Guitar & Vocals
Alex Raser: Drums & Screams
Zame Lewis: Bass

Ashley Worhol -The Official Music Video for "Listen to the Wind"

"Listen to the Wind" As an artist, we have the privilege to use ourselves in a vulnerable way in order to speak on important topics that surround us daily. "...

"As an artist, we have the privilege to use ourselves in a vulnerable way in order to speak on important topics that surround us daily. 'Listen to the Wind' is extremely personal to me because I wrote this song using myself as an experiment. I struggle with anxiety almost on a daily basis and wanted to compose something that would physically make me feel relief. Anytime I would start to have an attack, I would go to the piano and play different chords and melodies to see if any of them physically made me feel better. Which, I found some that did. Once I realized what helped calm my emotions, I knew I wanted to write this song in hopes it might also help heal others who struggle with anxiety as well.

Not only did I want to compose a song but I also wanted to show in art form what my anxiety feels like visually. This is what led to the filming of the music video for this emotional track. I took this time to be vulnerable and truly showed what heals me, which is nature, and what I feel physically when these attacks occur. There's an overwhelming feeling of darkness, suffocation, a sense of drowning and emotional draining that I incorporated into this music video while also showcasing the beauty of nature which is the source of my healing.

On set while filming, I allowed myself to have an attack. There was a take we were shooting where I was supposed to sing along with the track and the moment the song turned on, I couldn't sing. At that moment I knew this was the time to truly capture in the raw what happens to me during an attack and I let the camera capture every second.

'Listen to the Wind' is my escape. Nature is my escape and it is a constant reminder to cherish the small details, watch animals and bugs roam freely, smell the flowers as they move in the breeze and most importantly, listen to the wind and feel the warmth of the sun beaming down on your face...

For anyone out there who struggles with anxiety, you are not alone. You will never be alone. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I am right there with you."

Ashley Worhol was born in Houston, Texas, on January 4th, 1991, and began developing her musical abilities in the early stages of her childhood. Being the daughter of a musician, she was exposed to the constant sounds of her father, Larry Worhol, practicing and playing the piano. She would crawl onto her dad's lap at the piano and would then begin playing her expressive little melodies as she played by ear.

Over the years she participated in choirs and performed for large audiences which ultimately ended up with her getting her college degree in Music Composition. While in college, Ashley and her father, Larry, decided to form the symphonic rock group, Worhol. Worhol is best known for their theatrical stage performance and their musical style which is a blend of melodic melodies and heavy orchestration. The group, once all members were set, has hit the ground running ever since their first album, The Awakening (recorded by John LeCompt, former guitarist of Evanescence) was released back in 2017. Worhol has been seen in major magazines such as BillboardRevolverFireworks and more.

They have toured both their home country of the United States and overseas in the United Kingdom and Wales. Because of Worhol's sound, their hit track, "The Darkness," has opened doors for film placement and was licensed in the award winning horror film, "Rosa Leigh," in 2019. Ashley over the years has composed for films while also building her acting career. This year, 2020, Ashley and her Father released a short film, which they both acted in, with their arrangement of "Amazing Grace". This short film has won over 11 awards both nationally and internationally. Two major awards including, "Best Acting Duo" and "Best Original Score".

Currently, Ashley is scoring the feature film, "On Location," and has a lead role in an upcoming film that plans to start shooting September 2021. Presently, Ashley is writing, arranging and performing professionally. She is working together with her father while getting last minute touches finished for Worhol's newest EP that will be released within the year. Ashley not only writes the music alongside her father, but also the lyrics to each and every song. All of the songs have a hint of previous experiences she has had in her life as well as hidden messages. She portrays passion and emotion into her music and has the end goal of sharing her voice with the world.

New Album, The Ride, Out 11/13/2020 on AntiFragile Music!

York, PA Heavy Rock Band SMALL TOWN TITANS are taking on the absurdity of the world's modern social media obsession with their new single and music video, "Rufflin' Feathers." The fresh new single features the trio's trademark sound with a blistering melody, driving rhythm and front-man Phillip Nathaniel Freeman's extraordinary vocal domination.

Directed by Josh Nesmith and Ben Guiles (guitarist), "Rufflin' Feathers" is the 5th single off of the band's upcoming LP, The Ride, due out November 13, 2020 via AntiFragile Music.

"'Rufflin' Feathers' is a tongue-in-cheek song about the circus that is social media this year. It's become a constant negative assault on the senses. We wrote it for those who want to drown out all of the social noise by turning their speakers up right now." - Jonny Ross (Drums)

The Small Town Titans are an American rock n' roll power trio from York, PA who love to constantly create, as well as play live. Gone is the notion that a rock band should only release 10 songs at a time every 2 years. In a world where music fans crave new content constantly, the Small Town Titans aim to deliver their brand of art all of the time, drawing inspiration from a newer wave of rock bands such as Highly Suspect and Royal Blood, and rock legends such as the Foo Fighters, Audioslave, and Deep Purple. Thanks to their efforts at taking matters into their own hands, STT can create and release songs, podcasts, live online concerts, and more with no rules. In a social media driven world, STT knows releasing quality, constant content is as important as playing great live shows.

In November of 2018, the band’s cover of the Christmas song “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” went viral in a matter of days, leading to charting on various Billboard charts including Holiday Digital Song Sales, Rock Digital Song Sales, Emerging Artists, and reaching #5 on the Next Big Sound chart. The song also reached #2 on the iTunes Rock charts, only being surpassed by Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”. STT quickly found themselves achieving success, all on their own terms. As a continued unsigned act, all three members have risen to the occasion to continue to make music the way they want to, free from having to follow traditional music industry rules. By changing their mindset and focus towards creating content like many successful YouTubers, STT has made fans the old fashioned way, by word of mouth.

With no manager, label, or radio support, the Small Town Titans have managed to find success by simply never forgetting one thing, their fans, both new and old. Instead of trying to make a million fans, STT is focusing on the fans they already have, and the ones they continue to make. With a love for playing live, a Small Town Titans show has evolved into more than a concert. It’s an event, with a set list that’s decided right before the show, and plenty of stage banter in between songs. The band simply hits the stage to deliver an energy driven show using guitars, drums, and their voices. Nothing more, nothing less. This approach to their live performances has led to them sharing the stage with acts such as Highly Suspect, Papa Roach, Black Stone Cherry, Pop Evil, and more.

By focusing on their engagement on social media and managing themselves, Small Town Titans are growing like never before and having more success as a business and a brand. STT is actively forming a team of like minded individuals in the new music business who are just as driven and passionate as they are, rather than waiting to be discovered. Band Releases Lyric Video for "Reversed" - WATCH HERE

Joe Randazza Lists "Ten Sickest Breakdowns" for Loudwire

New Jersey death metal outfit EYE OF THE DESTROYER have released their new studio EP, 'The Wolf You Feed' TODAY via the group's High Potency imprint. The record serves as the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2019 effort 'Baptized In Pain'.

Led by multi-instrumentalist Joe Randazza, who performs all of the instrumentals and vocals for 'The Wolf You Feed'Eye of the Destroyer is a relentlessly aggressive project that aims to bring the scathing animus and unshakable resolve of the hardcore genre into the dire times faced by the millennial generation. Fans can purchase 'The Wolf You Feed' (CD + Download) at highpotencyproductions.com

Eye of the Destroyer mastermind Joe Randazza recently spoke with the folks at Loudwire to share his own personal list of the "10 Sickest Breakdowns in Hardcore + Metal", which included offerings from bands like Slipknot, God Forbid, Hatebreed and more. Fans can check out the piece at the link found here.

"The Wolf You Feed" is Eye of the Destroyer’s darkest album to date. The record comes on the heels of the critically acclaimed "Baptized in Pain". Eye of the Destroyer’s new EP comes into its own with an evolved writing style that utilizes elements of the band’s New Jersey hardcore roots, controlled chaos, and raw emotion.

The album provides crucial commentary on the plights that millennials face from childhood trauma to archaic political dogma. Joe Randazza dug deep into the trenches of his subconscious to write and produce this album that rips the band-aid off the festering wounds that plague a whole generation. Shadow work in musical form, this album is a reminder that taking your power back requires a deep and uncomfortable inspection of the dark recesses of your mind.

This album was written and produced by local New Jersey scene legend Joe Randazza and almost failed to make it to press. Joe wrote the album in a really bad place while battling addiction and loss. The release of this album was fueled by bass player Dan Kaufman’s unrelenting belief in the spiritual awakening "The Wolf You Feed" delivers. It was recorded at the Soap Factory in Roselle Park, New Jersey and mixed and mastered by Keegan Okazaki from Nocturnal Audio based out of Toronto Canada.

Eye of the Destroyer is:

Joe Randazza - Vocals, Guitar, Bass & Drums

Dan Kaufman - Bass

THE UNGUIDED Releases Official Lyric Video for “Stand Alone Complex”

Pre-Order "Father Shadow" here: https://smarturl.it/FatherShadow :: Stand Alone Complex :: Enemies from within Enemies from without Hostage to her sweet grin...

New Album, Father Shadow, Out this Friday, October 9

Pre-Order NOW!

Swedish frontrunners THE UNGUIDED draw you into the deep, dark underbelly of their gloomy antithesis of pure harshness and rousing melodies, forming an unbeatable framework of melodic death metal. Their smashing third single, “Stand Alone Complex”, is cut from their upcoming album, Father Shadow, out this Friday, October 9 via Napalm Records

Stand Alone Complex” re-opens the heavy doors to THE UNGUIDED’s universe of brutal growls and clean and catchy choruses, attacking the listener’s eardrum at breakneck speeds and sticking in their mind forever. Their third offering showcases another facet of their characteristic symbiosis of melodic death metal mixed with remarkable electronic influences and conspicuous metalcore elements.

Along with a fantasy-inspired audio visual, kicking drums and poignant melodies prepare the world for tomorrow's album release - ready to pull everyone into the depths of THE UNGUIDED’s enigmatic sound!

Richard Sjunnesson of THE UNGUIDED on the new single “Stand Alone Complex”:

Stand Alone Complex” is a classic The Unguided song in terms of structure and vibe. And drives the narrative of Seth and Gaia deeper into their coming realization and burden. It was a bit of an underdog song during the pre-production phase but once everything was in place it got new air under its wings and lifted neatly. The intro, with its captivating synth and heavy riffs, is crushing on its own and that last double chorus always gives me the feels.”

Pre-Order the new album Father Shadow NOW

With their new full-length, these Nordic heavyweights prove that they can’t be pigeonholed. Eleven quick-tempered, high-voltage pieces indicate that THE UNGUIDED have liberated themselves from the shadows of the past but are still aware of their manifold roots. The intoxicating mixture of clean hooklines and classifying screams lead up to a unique symbiosis of pure harshness.

THE UNGUIDED on the new album:

“We started to work on the follow up to And the Battle Royale by the end of 2018 after the tour was done. I think that particular album was a lot about figuring out the band’s new identity and writing together after boarding a new member and undeniably it was well received. Father Shadow is all about taking that experience, refining the process and push it to the next level. We have grown together solidly as a band and I think it shows a lot on this album. The songwriters in the band all come from different schools and write a bit differently musically, on this album everyone got equal airtime just to pump the diversity without losing the feel of the band. Lyrically it pushes the story and concept forward and finally ties up some ends that have been loose since Fragile Immortality (2014), something I think the hardcore fans will appreciate. It was also fun to go back and revisit those old SONIC SYNDICATE tracks for the bonus material and I think we managed to do our own thing to honor the songs with a mint 2020 production. Utterly we created the songs and album we’d love to listen to ourselves and we succeeded with that and hope you’ll like it as much as we do!”

THE UNGUIDED Line-Up:

Richard Sjunnesson - Vocals

Jonathan Thorpenberg - Vocals / Guitars

Roger Sjunnesson - Guitars

Richard Schill - Drums

"LIVE AT MORSEFEST 2018" OUT DECEMBER 4, 2020

PERFORMANCE OF 'LOVE HAS CALLED MY NAME' OUT NOW

Acclaimed prog rocker Neal Morse returns with a new live set, “Jesus Christ The Exorcist (Live At Morsefest 2018)” on December 4, 2020. As the title suggests, this new live album and DVD/Blu-ray was captured at the annual Morsefest in 2018, where Neal and band performed his then new album, “Jesus Christ The Exorcist” in its entirety.

Pre-order/save "Jesus Christ The Exorcist (Live At Morsefest 2018)” HERE: https://orcd.co/nealmorselive

“Performing "Jesus Christ the Exorcist" with this extraordinary cast of singers and musicians was an absolute dream come true for me as a composer and musician. The way it came together was nothing short of miraculous! One of the greatest events of my life,“ says Morse of the performance.

This unique live album presents the entire "Jesus Christ The Exorcist" story set as a progressive rock musical. Here, the biggest change from any typical Neal Morse performance was that he was the musical director and not the main performer. The backing band included some of his usual collaborators like Bill Hubauer and Randy George, of course. Eric Gillette, usually the guitarist, was the drummer for the musical and showed off his incredible skills while Paul Bielatowicz was on lead guitar for the show. The orchestra included a horn section, a choir, backing singers, and a string quartet. The staging and lighting was nothing short of impressive, with the visuals by Christian Rios and sound by Jerry Guidroz (Sons of Apollo, Neal Morse Band, Haken) taking things to the next level.

The lead role of Jesus was taken by Ted Leonard of Enchant and Spock’s Beard. Leonard’s voice is one of the best in rock music and he sounded stellar throughout the night. Joining Leonard was a fantastic collection of singers that included Nick D’Virgilio (SPOCK’S BEARD, BIG BIG TRAIN) along with Jake Livgren (PROTOKAW), Matt Smith (THEOCRACY), John Schlitt (PETRA), Rick Florian (WHITE HEART), Mark Pogue, and Wil Morse. However, perhaps the one that stole the show was newcomer Talon David, a local Nashville singer who took the role of Mary Magdalene. She has an incredible voice and brought many to tears during the finale duet with Ted Leonard. A highlight moment during the show was in the first act with the song “Madman of the Gadarenes,” where Morse introduced his Gentle Giant influenced vocal medley with multiple vocalists all singing different lines in unison.

Whether or not an audience member knows or appreciates the subject matter might influence their opinion on the show, but it is impossible not to be impressed by the spectacle of this performance. What Neal Morse was able to write and produce with limited time and rehearsals is nothing short of amazing. The music is the definition of epic prog and certainly will delight any Morse fan.

Showing off their incredible choreography skills in shiny space suits, NANOWAR OF STEEL dance their way straight into your heart – and Uranus!

Michael Starr (STEEL PANTHER) says about the video for “Uranus”:

“This video will make your penis bigger with one view. The more times you view it, the bigger your penis will get. You’re welcome.

‘Uranus’ is a must watch video. It’s the only way to have your first eye orgasms. A fun video with a great story line. If you don’t like this song you must be deaf. If you don’t like this video you must be blind.”

Gatto Panceri 666 of NANOWAR OF STEEL adds about the video for “Uranus”:

“I know, this joke has been used and abused since 1781, from the very first day William Herschel discovered this planet. However, being a practicing astronomer and a professional idiot, I felt I had more right to use it as the subject of a song to be dignified with a Lady Gaga-level video (in all humbleness).

Perhaps it won't be the most original pun ever, but one thing we can tell you for sure: this joke turned out to be the most expensive one we've ever told so far!”

"I heard 'River' on L.A.'s KROQ years ago and immediately thought it could really great song to cover," recalls Benlolo. "I got caught up in the bluesy, soulful nature of the tune, especially Bishop's soaring vocal. Time passed and we never considered recording anything that wasn't original — until now."

He continues, "We really wanted to show people a different side of this band, and with everything that is happening in the world right now, we hope to spread a little joy. Amidst the craziness, we decided to push through and record new music for all of you because we know how desperately music is needed right now. We are here to shine a little light in the darkness and we hope this cover achieves just that. Thank you very much for the love and support. Stay safe and be well."

“Since I lost my brother to COVID 19 in April the world has looked and felt incredibly different. On top of the truly surreal nightmare this has all been, everything just feels out of place, it’s a hard way to grieve and deal with all else we are dealing with. Still Holding On is about the changes and challenges in our lives how we must still find a purpose and keep going.” Says singer Steven Nathan describing the new single.

With a growing reputation for their unique and critically acclaimed videos, the band had to step through some serious creative hurdles working against a social distancing backdrop.

A compelling state-of-the art indie pop band with an eclectic New York City sound. Don't Believe in Ghosts, led by singer/producer and writer Steven Nathan, rose from his home studio in 2017. The band is rounded out by Dan DelVecchio on Guitar, Alex Goumas on Bass, and Ken Yang on Drums.

The bands’ achievements include song features on many TV shows including ‘Ink Master’ and The U.S. OPENDon’t Believe In Ghosts teamed up with 8-time Grammy-winning mixer Ken Lewis for their single "Don’t Wake Me Up". The song's video featured famed comedic actor Gilbert Gottfried"Don’t Wake Me Up" earned more than one million retail and radio plays. In 2019 Don’t Believe In Ghosts sold out their first headlining show at New York City's Bowery Ballroom. In the summer of 2019, the band embarked on their first U.S. tour.

“Don’t give energy to the ghosts of your past.” Says Steven Nathan when describing the meaning behind the bands' name. “Worrying about what other people may think can be draining and debilitating.” Don’t Believe In Ghosts amplifies this theme throughout their music.

New Album, Morbid Illusion, Out 5/28/2021

Following the critical success of her 2019 released Reflection LP, Denver, CO based, dark rock artist SHARONE has revealed the official music video for her new single, "Can We Pretend." Mixed and mastered by Nick Nodurft at Rusty Sun Audio and the video directed and produced by Kyle Lamar at Digital Myle, "Can We Pretend" is the first single off of the enigmatic artist's upcoming album, Morbid Illusion, due out 5/28/2021 via Devil Inside Records. The second single, "Fade Away," will be revealed on Halloween.

"‘Can We Pretend’ is about living a lie, and hiding behind a facade that’s destroying you from the inside out.” - SHARONE

Sharone erupted onto the Denver music scene as a solo artist in 2014 playing local DIY venues; since then she has gone on to play venues such as Marquis TheaterBluebird Theater, and Gothic Theater, playing festivals, and opening for bands such as One-Eyed-DollThe Birthday MassacreFuelSaving AbelDavey SuicideTantricHell’s BellesStitched Up Heart, and Puddle Of Mudd. The atmospheric and melodramatic music of Evanescenceand the psychedelic blues of Black Sabbath inspired Sharone to start performing her music live with a full rock band backing her. Despite sustaining a dark and melancholy tone on recordings, the gothic artist’s live shows are nothing short of energetic, full of heavy piano riffs, pulsing rhythms, and enthralling theatrics. From emerging from a coffin to jumping off of monitors and captivating contortions, Sharone captures the interest of each audience member through her piercing stage chemistry with her live musicians, and her ever-growing theatrics. In the spring of 2017, the singer left her mark on the Denver music scene with the release of her first rock album ‘Storm’. Following the release, dove deeper into her writing, and came back stronger than ever with the reincarnation of her dark sound: ‘Enchiridion of Nightmares’ (2018).

“Like a series of dark fairy tales, Enchiridion of Nightmares the new album from dark [rocker] Sharone, captivates, seduces, and haunts. Each of its notes, let alone songs, comes with a shadow to [her] beauty, melancholy to [her] light, and intimacy to [her] grandeur with it all colluding in an adventure which just steals the imagination from everyday reality. There is a rich cinematic and theatre-esque feel to Enchiridion of Nightmares which equally adds to its captivation; indeed its songs entwine an influence of horror movies, vintage and modern, into their personal nightmares. With just as richly layered and dramatic sounds to its exploration, the album is a persistent unveiling of new twists and shadows listen by listen. On our first meeting intrigue soaked the pleasure, through a couple more captivation, each subsequent listen leading to the inescapable bewitchment these words spring from.” -The Ringmaster Review

Sharone followed up the release with three exhilarating summer and fall tours, reaching audiences across the western, central, and eastern United States, and spent the remainder of 2019 recording her third studio album 'Reflection', which was released December 7th, 2019.

"[Sharone] showed that she was adept at harnessing the chaos on her previous couple of albums and she’s really turning the gothic-art-pop-rock up on her latest long-player. It’s packed with dark fairytales and swooping riffs as well as more theatrical invention that you’d find at the Royal Shakespeare Company." - The Crack Magazine

In summary absolute female power, which reminds of Evanescence and Tarja Turunen. This talented singer makes you curious about her live performances!" - Stormbringer.at

Sharone really pushes out the emotions and passion she has for music with this album. It is full of fantastic piano chords and guitar riffs that really show off her band's talent as a whole. I am excited to see what she releases in the future and will keep an eye out for it. In the Spring of 2020, Sharone signed with Devil Inside Records, and began working on her fourth studio album. The first single “Can We Pretend” was released July 24th, and has been the young rocker’s most successful release to date.

This unique rock artist is destined for success in the metal and goth rock realm. Look out for more new music from Sharone coming very soon.

Commented the band: "For some, "Sit Stay Roll Over" was the so-called ignition point where lots of fans first took notice of JINJER - and it‘s still a burner today even though it sometimes gets lost between all our other tracks! It’s also one of the most technically complicated and extreme songs we’ve ever written, taking the band to the outer realms of death metal ... Even after all these years of performing it countless times it still takes quite a lot of effort and concentration to play flawlessly live. We‘re pretty excited to have it put back to the forefront again on our upcoming live album!"

CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX Streams New Album in Full

Dark Progressive rock outfit CRIPPLED BLACK PHOENIX will be releasing the full-length 'Ellengæst' on October 9 via Season of Mist! The band is now streaming the record in its entirety ahead of Friday's release.

Several prominent guest vocalists lend their considerable talents to Ellengæst: ANATHEMA’s Vincent Cavanagh, GAAHLS WYRD’s Kristian “Gaahl” Espedal, COLISEUM/FOTOCRIME/one-time Crippled Black Phoenix touring bassist Ryan Patterson, up-and-coming U.K. solo artist Suzie Stapleton and TRIBULATION’s Jonathan Hultén.

'Ellengæst' can be pre-ordered in various formats HERE.

The artwork for 'Ellengæst' was created by artist Thanasis Stratidakis (Erebus Art) and graphic designer Benedikt Demmer. It can be found below along with the tracklist.

“One thing we’ll never do is stick to the rules and stay within the box.”

Such are the words from Crippled Black Phoenix founder, songwriter and guitarist Justin Greaves, who has guided this progressive, thought-provoking, shape-shifting musical collective since their 2004 formation. Their new effort, Ellengæst, follows a recent pattern of the band in releasing a mini-album in between studio LPs. It is the direct result of their ceaseless creativity — when Greaves has songs, Crippled Black Phoenix records them. Ellengæst has the difficult task of following 2018’s profound and moving Great Escape. Ellengæst, though, does not make any attempts in pairing with or succeeding Great Escape. Circumstances largely prevented it anyway.

On the day tracking started for Ellengæst, Crippled Black Phoenix — completed by vocalist and lyricist Belinda Kordic, guitarist Andy Taylor and multi-instrumentalist Helen Stanley —suddenly, unexpectedly found themselves without a male lead vocalist and keyboardist. Whereas events of a similar thread would spell doom for most bands, Greaves took it as an opportunity to tap into his deep network of musician friends. Before he knew it, several prominent guest vocalists were secured, ready and able to lend their considerable talents to Ellengæst: Anathema’s Vincent Cavanagh, Gaahls Wyrd’s Kristian “Gaahl” Espedal, Coliseum/Fotocrime/one-time Crippled Black Phoenix touring bassist Ryan Patterson, up-and-coming U.K. solo artist Suzie Stapleton and Tribulation’s Jonathan Hultén.

“It all came together really easy, to be honest,” says Greaves. “Because we’re working with people that you’ve got a connection where you see things the same way or you wouldn’t get along as friends. When it comes from an artistic standpoint, we’re already on the same page. It all just weirdly worked out. It’s not like I had to go out and think, ‘Okay, who do I know that could sing on this song that sounds like this?’ It was just like, ‘I’ve got a bunch of songs that we’ve always talked about doing something with. Which song would this singer suit?’”

Ellengæst, which in Olde English - with some scandinavian connection -  translates as “strong spirit” and another reference as “mischievous demon”,represents Crippled Black Phoenix’s duality. “It comes from the same place, but with different connotations,” says Greaves. “That’s this band in a nutshell. We’ve had to stay strong because of all the BS we’ve encountered, yet we’re still going and subversive. It’s like we’re giving kids candy with razor blades in them.”

Tackling themes of the human condition and the perpetual internal struggles people face, Ellengæst begins with Cavanagh pairing with Kordic on “House of Fools” and “Lost,” the two switching lead vocal responsibilities for each song. Gaahl’s appearance on “In the Night” was born from his long-standing relationship with Greaves, the two men grew close after countless late tour nights in hotel rooms chatting the evening away. Gaahl, whose vocal exploits are often limited to black metal circles, was given “In the Night” because Greaves thought he could do something unique with the track.

“He doesn’t do these sorts of things; he doesn’t collaborate very often, if at all,” he says. “Kristian confessed to me that this is the first time he’s done something like this. When he sent me the files, he then called me up and asked if it was okay. He explained, ‘I did it in a spoken word because the song is stoic and melancholy.’ He hit the nail right on the head. Then you have Belinda doing her angelic vocals over it. You have the light and the dark represented.”

Patterson and Stapleton blend seamlessly on the momentous “Cry of Love,” while Kordic casts yet another heart-rendering vocal spell across “Everything I Say.” Yet another surprise comes in the form of Hultén’s trance-inducing, but soaring performance on “The Invisible Past.” A cover of Bauhaus’s “She’s in Parties” sung by Kordic rounds out the set.

Crippled Black Phoenix are no strangers to adversity, making the events surrounding the creation of Ellengæst yet another roadblock for a band whose very existence has been threatened on more than a few occasions. Their unique setup and stubborn refusal to bow to musical norms may confuse the casual music consumer. However, the core of Crippled Black Phoenix — Greaves, Kordic, Taylor and Stanley — thrives on the unconventional, remaining steadfastly singular and undefinable. Accordingly, Greaves believes this incarnation of Crippled Black Phoenix is the strongest to date. All it took was another dramatic sea-change to prove it.

“This was the best thing that could have happened to us,” he says. “Before, there was this horrible cloud of drama following us. There was always something going on. Once that had gone and the people who were on the outside of the band who were a part of that, once they had gone and the drama had gone, me and Helen found ourselves tracking in the studio in the first session. We just got on with it; we didn’t think twice. In the second session, we just felt liberated. We just knew, ‘This is going to be great.’ We’re all so excited about the possibilities. It feels like we’re rejuvenated.”

October 5, 2020 - Sweden’s most creative and exciting export, AVATAR, debuted their documentary titled Scaling The Mountain that follows the band throughout the creation of their critically-acclaimed, new album Hunter Gatherer. Spanning over two years and multiple countries, Scaling The Mountain gives some of the deepest insight to the band and their process that fans have seen yet.

Out now via Entertainment One (eOne), Hunter Gatherer, marked the darkest and most thought-provoking release of the band’s near decade long career. A striking and bold manifesto, the album is an unflinchingly ruthless study of a clueless humankind’s ever-increasing velocity into an uncertain future, furthering the reach of the band’s always expanding dark roots. In 2019, AVATAR reunited with producer Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Anthrax) at Sphere Studios in Los Angeles, California, where the foundation for each song on Hunter Gatherer was laid with the band performing altogether, as they'd done only once before, on Hail the Apocalypse (2014). The old-school method of playing as one in the studio, more akin to how they are on stage, captured the essence of AVATAR. Recorded entirely to two-inch tape, Hunter Gatherer exhibits everything that makes AVATAR standouts in the vast, rich landscape of heavy metal's past and present.

SCULPTOR ALBUM "UNTOLD SECRETS" DUE DECEMBER 4, 2020

BRAZILIANS ARE FIRST DEATH METAL BAND SIGNED TO LABEL

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to introduce Brazil’s Sculptor, a melodic death metal band who joins the label’s rapidly expanding metal roster. While hailing from South America, the band’s sound is more akin to a different part of the globe, specifically the early years of the revered Göthenburg sound emanating from Sweden and popularized by bands like Dark Tranquility, Soilwork, In Flames, and the like. The band's label debut, "Untold Secrets" is out December 4, 2020.

Pre-order/save "Untold SecretsHEREhttps://orcd.co/sculptor

Based in the city of Curitiba (coincidentally also the home of labelmates Semblant, Landfall, and Electric Mob), Sculptor was founded in 2015 by Rick Eraser (vocals) and Vinne (vocals/guitars), who was joined by Caco Ramos (bass), Fabricio Reis (guitars), and Mateus Schran (drums). The band debuted with the single "Oblivion,” which became a blueprint for the songs that would comprise their debut album, “Untold Secrets”.

"Untold Secrets" is a very special album because the lyrics talk about our own secrets, because sometimes we are afraid to talk about how we feel, sometimes we want to give up on everything. But we need to fight and move on. When I wrote these songs I was battling depression and music helped me to overcome. I hope everybody who listens to these songs can talk about their own “Untold Secrets"," says frontman Rick Eraser.

"Untold Secrets" was recorded at the band's studio in Curitiba, produced by Rick and Vinne, and mixed by Linus Corneliusson at Fascination Street Studios located, appropriately enough, in Sweden.

“The name "Sculptor" means that we are the sculptors of our lives, we can shape them and transform them into what we want. The lyrics also address this subject and how everything we do impacts our world,” says the band.

"Untold Secrets" showcases the complex influences the musicians acquired through their previous musical projects. For the uninitiated, once again, the band's style can be described as musically akin to early era albums from Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Soilwork, and Tiamat.

For melodic death metal fans and metal fans in general, Sculptor are a band to keep an eye on!

SAMMI DOLL Releases Official Music Video for "AN OM IE"

Sammi Doll - AN OM IE (Official Video) Buy / Stream Single: https://lnk.to/ANOMIE Find Sammi Doll on Website: http://www.sammidoll.com Spotify: https://lnk.t...

October 7, 2020 - LA based, Dark Pop Rock artist SAMMI DOLL (IAMXKat Von D.) has released the official music video for her debut single, "AN OM IE." "AN OM IE" is an amalgamation of pounding dance beats and industrial keyboard hooks that showcase Sammi's vocal range and frontwoman persona.

Directed by Ron Underwood, the "AN OM IE" music video features a series of haunting vignettes taking the viewer through a window of bold and artistic imagery, tipping the hat to nostalgic, 90's color themes.

“ANOMIE theory is the state of social disintegration. We as a society, live within this theory; and we are our own worst enemy.

I’ve been involved in many projects with other bands (IAMX, Bullet Height, Kat Von D, Losers) and this is the first time that I’m branching out on my own. I wrote "AN OM IE" with Sean and Juliette Beavan - they have shown an incredible amount of support and mentorship through the entire process of launching this project. We got in the studio and amalgamated a sound that took influence from a few bands i’m inspired by, the first melody and word to come to my head was “ENEMY” .... which switches later in the song to become AN OM IE.”

“The video began as a concept of vignettes with director Ron Thunderwood. I knew that I wanted to create something beautifully artistic and visually unsettling. We filmed the video over the course of four months due to quarantine restrictions, so we had the luxury of time to build on the characters. I really give my blood, insomnia, and tears to everything I do artistically and tend to think about the consequences later… but I knew I was committed when a frozen octopus from Seattle showed up at my front door...” - SAMMI DOLL

U.K. transplant and Los Angeles based recording artist, Sammi Doll, is best known as the stage right, femme-fatale synth player/backing vocalist for the alternative, synthpop band, IAMX. Upon joining the then German-based band in 2013; Sammi relocated to Berlin while touring extensively through Europe and North America, amassing almost 200k followers across all social media platforms. She began composing her original material along with diving deeper into her other mediums of photography and videography. A chance encounter with Jon Courtney (Pure Reason Revolution) in-between tours led to collaborating on his industrial influenced, prog-rock band, Bullet Height. Signed by Sony/Superball Music, Bullet Height released their critically acclaimed debut LP, "No Atonement." In February of 2020, Entrepreneur and IAMX collaborator, Kat Von D, announced Sammi would be joining her band on synth and backing vocals for her debut and forthcoming tours.
Inspired by her darkwave musical roots, Sammi began creating and mixing a myriad of influences from such bands as Metric, Stabbing Westward, and Grimes to create a sound reminiscent of 90's electronica /trip-hop, with hard-hitting synthesizers encompassed with dark poetry. Upon teaming up with legendary producer Sean Beavan, (NIN, Manson, 3Teeth, Guns N' Roses), Doll and Beavan wrote the debut single "AN OM IE"; the first release under her name.

Stating about the new single, Sammi explains: “AN OM IE” refers to the ‘Anomie Theory’ by French sociologist Emile Durkheim. It’s social disintegration; it states 'individuals in a society are in permanent competition with each other, expect much of existence and demand much of it, & find themselves perpetually haunted by the suffering that arises from the disproportion between their aspirations & their satisfaction.'
We, more than ever, live within an anomic society… & we are our own worst enemies.

You can catch Sammi Doll with her full band, livestream performance from the Bourbon Room in Hollywood CA here: https://youtu.be/pH7eqVO7AD4
