Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have revealed the video for "Ride," which finds the band knuckling down (and dirty) on their instruments while in the back of a conversion van and plugging into amps stashed in the trunks of their cars.

"Sometimes it's too easy to miss magic moments while you're worrying about the future," says Bryant. "To me, 'Ride' is a reminder to find the good in the present while you're in it. I don’t wanna look back and wish I would've lived life any different. I wanna milk all these moments for all they're worth. Whatever comes next can't affect right now."

The track appears on the band's latest album Truth & Lies — out now via Snakefarm Records.

The album's title track features a guest keyboard solo by none other than rock legend Dennis DeYoung and a guest saxophone spot from Mark Rivera (Billy Joel, Ringo Starr) on 'Sedona'.

Written and produced by Steve Brown, "LIONS" was mixed by Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger, The Defiants) and mixed by Maor Applebaum (Faith No More, Yes, Dokken).

You don’t need to be a die-hard '80s/’90s hard rock fan to know that the fruits of an artistic alliance between Danger Danger singer Ted Poley and guitarist/producer Steve Brown of Trixter was going to make melodic rock fans rejoice! Featuring Ted Poley (vocals), Steve Brown (guitar), Greg Smith (bass), and Chuck Burgi (drums), Tokyo Motor Fist was birthed out of Ted and Steve’s long standing friendship. They were playing the same club circuit with their respective bands, Danger Danger and Trixter, when both bands were starting their careers. Over the years, they had a great personal relationship and the idea of doing a record together has been in the cards for many years. With some help from Frontiers the concept became a reality. Rounded out by Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper) and Chuck Burgi (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Bon Jovi) on bass and drums, respectively, TMF’s self-titled debut was met with the high praise and enthusiasm one would expect from fans of the genre. Norwegian prog/avantgarde metal act GREEN CARNATION announced their return to the international metal scene for the anniversary of their cult classic ‘Light of Day, Day of Darkness’ in 2016. After a successful comeback with festival appearances and special shows both in Europe and North America, the Norwegians are ready to release their first new record in 14 years.

GREEN CARNATION from Kristiansand, Norway, was founded as early as 1990. After founding member Tchort joined legends-to-be EMPEROR and continued in SATYRICON and EINHERJER, the band was laid to rest until their debut album ‘A Journey To The End Of The Night’ came out in 2000. Following a period with line-up changes, 2001 marked the release of the bands epic ‘Light of Day, Day of Darkness’.

With their albums ‘A Blessing in Disguise’ (2003) and ‘The Quiet Offspring’ (2005), GREEN CARNATION shifted towards a more rock orientated style, before they surprised everyone with the stripped-down record ‘Acoustic Verses’ in 2006. What followed in the same year is perhaps one of the most spectacular DVD recordings metal history. The band played a show in the mountains, under a 30-meter-high dam. Only a year later, GREEN CARNATION disbanded.

After playing their first reunion show in 2016 and a few more in the following years, the musicians decided it was time to write new material. At the end of 2019, GREEN CARNATION entered the studio with producer Endre Kirkesola (ABBATH, IN VAIN and SOLEFALD), to record ‘Leaves of Yesteryear’.

The album is partially a retrospect on the band’s career, as the progressive metal act pays homage to their past and to their heroes with the re-recording of the classic song ‘My Dark Reflections of Life and Death’ and the BLACK SABBATH-cover ‘Solitude’. With new songs such as ‘Leaves of Yesteryear’, the fans will get a taste of what is to come.

FEUERSCHWANZ Release Music Video For Cover Of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire"

German medieval rock masters FEUERSCHWANZ have released the official music video for the cover of "I See Fire", the seminal song from Peter Jackson's cinematic adaption of J.R.R. Tolkien's middle-earth epic, The Hobbit. The song comes off the bonus covers album Die Sieben Todsünden which will be released as part of the deluxe version of the band's upcoming new album, Das Elfte Gebot, on June 26.

Commented the band: "When we were brainstorming which songs we'd choose for our covers album Die Sieben Todsünden, this song was so close to our hearts, the dragon fans and middle-earth nerds that we are. The original version still makes us shiver and can't really be topped, so we used powerful guitars, folky bagpipes and epic fiddles. It's a song about unity while facing destruction war and death and also marks our first song in english.

The video was shot in the mystic southwest of England at the coast of Cornwall where Hauptmann, Hodi and Mieze Musch-Musch went last fall."

Das Elfte Gebot is the successor of 2018's extremely successful album, Methämmer, (#6 in the official German album charts) and is scheduled for a June 26 release via Napalm Records.

The song was written and recorded this past month while the band is in the midst of work on their next studio album. The band was so struck by the song that they felt the need to release it immediately rather than sit on it for the next studio album. It may or may not appear on said album.

Of the song, Phil Lewis says, "This is our new single, 'Let You Down,' a deep haunting work and words from a tormented soul. It was recorded during quarantine, so Tracii laid down his guitar tracks in Denmark, I did my vocals at home in Las Vegas, and Adam Hamilton played drums and mixed it in LA. Under normal circumstances, it would have been recorded in a more traditional way, but somehow the isolation adds to the atmosphere of this very cool song. I’m sure you’re going to love it. Cheers."

Tracii Guns adds, "This song just appeared at the right time, while we were writing and recording on different continents. Also, we won’t be performing anytime soon and it seems like the type of song that our fans can hold on to for awhile."

L.A. Guns are currently writing and recording songs for a new studio album tentatively due for release via Frontiers Music Srl in late 2020/early 2021. This will be the third studio album since the much welcome reunion of the band's core foundation of vocalist Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns. It will follow the well received studio albums "The Missing Peace" and "The Devil You Know", plus the live release, "Made In Milan" and a covers EP, "Another Xmas In Hell".

The Nixons were founded in Oklahoma City, OK by singer/guitarist Zac Maloy, guitarist Jesse Davis and bassist Ricky Brooks in 1990. The group released their debut EP Six in 1992 on Dragon Street Records and replaced original drummer Tye Robison with John Humphrey, before releasing Halo in 1994 on Dallas-based Rainmaker Records. FOMA, released in 1995 on MCA Records, included the radio hits "Happy Song", "Wire", and “Sister” which was a top 5 alternative hit that also crossed over into the Hot 100 pop chart. The group capitalized on their success with big tours (about 300 shows a year for nearly a decade), including dates with KISS, Soul Asylum, Radiohead, and Toadies. They went on to release two more albums with MCA that yielded several rock radio hits including “Baton Rouge”. The band recently reunited the original line up for a series of sold out shows in the Midwest, culminating with an opening slot with Smashing Pumpkins. In 2019 the band released singles, “Favorite Lies” and “Crutch” as well as a video for the latter. The band wrapped up the year with a double bill tour with Sponge.

Zac Maloy is an acclaimed, award-winning songwriter and producer whose songs have been featured on numerous top-charting albums. Once The Nixons went on hiatus, Zac began writing and producing for other artists. After writing for and producing several rock projects, Zac signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV and decided to take writing more seriously. Sony tapped Zac as a writer in large part because of his unique ability, as a former artist, to relate to artists out there living the life Zac knew well. One of his first cuts after signing to Sony was "Used To" on Daughtry's eponymous first album, which has gone five-times platinum worldwide. This opened the door for Zac to score singles in a range of genres, including Carrie Underwood's # 1 single "Temporary Home," and Skillet's #1 single "American Noise."

In 2003, after extensive auditions, John was selected to fill the drum seat for Seether. John has been touring and recording with Seether for more than sixteen years now. The band, averaging more than 120 shows a year, has amassed twenty Top Five singles, three platinum records, and numerous gold albums.

CONSTELLATIA to Re-release 'The Language of Limbs' via Season of Mist

South African post metal band CONSTELLATIA will be re-releasing their acclaimed debut album, 'The Language of Limbs,' on various physical formats via Season of Mist. The new pressings will be out on June 19 and are available for pre-order HERE.

'The Language of Limbs' was originally released on November 15, 2019 and soon after, the four piece landed a worldwide record deal with Season of Mist. The album can already be found on all digital streaming platforms HERE.

Brazilian thrash metal institution NERVOSA have announced their new band line-up! After a long and vigorous audition process, Prika Amaral – creator, founding member and guitarist of the band – is thrilled to announce that vocalist Diva Satanica (Bloodhunter), bassist Mia Wallace (Abbath & Triumph of Death), and drummer Eleni Nota (Mask of Prospero and Croque Madame) have all joined the force that is NERVOSA!

The choice to form a quartet instead of reinstating a trio was made to give NERVOSA a fresh approach and show another thrilling facet, but will in no way take away from the thrash/death essence they are renowned for. Symphonic black metal formation ...AND OCEANS have teamed up with Invisible Oranges for the premiere of their new album, 'Cosmic World Mother,' ahead of its May 8 release. The record, which is the first new music from the band in 17 years.

Guitarist Timo Kontio comments: "We are so excited to present the new record 'Cosmic World Mother' of ...and Oceans, after 17 years since the latest album, 'Cypher.' We have waited a long time for this day to come. Let the music and Adrien Bousson's visuals take you on a journey beyond!"

The fumes of Scandinavian black metal were poisoning the air and the second wave of black metal had taken a new form. …AND OCEANS emerged in this scene in 1995, with an exceptional and unique symphonic approach to the music. Still seeking the musical path to take, the Finns delivered a few demos before signing to Season of Mist 22 years ago.

At this point, the band had already found its path to walk, shaping the music and lyrics away from the regular black metal outfits and topics with ambient parts and lyrics twisting the reality, using different languages and aiming to provoke and confuse.

In 1998, debut album 'The Dynamic Gallery of Thoughts' received strong feedback in the media and the word got out at a fast pace, lead to a split album with label mates BLOODTHORN. Sophomore album 'The Symmetry of I, The Circle of O', released 1999, pushed the boundaries even further.

Entering the Abyss Studios with the Tägtgren brothers in 2000 changed the whole band once again. The album ‘A.M.G.O.D.’ was musically very far from the early symphonic black metal delirium with its electronic post-modern approach.

After touring with MARDUK, MORTICIAN and VADER, …AND OCEANS re-entered Abyss Studios to record a more elementary album featuring industrial and power electronics vibes. In 2002, when the last album 'Cypher' was released, the band had reached its full circle and decided to call it a day.

17 years later, a newfound energy stirred, and the Finns decided to reform for a selected amount of shows. Soon the musicians started working on a new album and came back to the Season of Mist fold. A couple of new faces have recently joined the band, including vocalist Mathias Lillmåns (FINNTROLL). …AND OCEANS’ new album ‘Cosmic World Mother’, sees the Finnish metal outfit return to a ferocious black metal sound, combined with industrial and symphonic influences. The songs are bristling with creativity and energy, intertwining the …AND OCEANS sound with elements from the different projects the musicians have played in over the years.

On the record, the six piece explores the transformations of physical and psychological energy. When we die, our bodies become energy for plants and animals… But what happens to the mind and the soul? The ‘Cosmic World Mother’ is at the heart of these streams of energy: the birthgiver, the one who transforms and the life-taker. All energy is eternal, it just changes forms…

Of the making of the album, Grant says, "It took well over a year to record “Always The Villain”. There was such a massive learning curve in the actual recording process for me to be able to deliver. I had to write, arrange, record, produce everything as well as play all of the instruments myself. I believe recording this way truly helped in bringing to fruition my full musical vision and signature sound. I couldn’t be more happy with the end results and I really loved recording this way."

On first single and video, 'Red Light Run', Grant says it is "about a beautiful, broken-hearted girl's backfiring tale of revenge by way of sex, drugs and excess. Of course the song goes even deeper than that and the video is suggestive of all of this."

In the works since 2018, "Always The Villain" is a labor of love for this established talent. Prior to The Assassins, Grant was the creative driving force behind Endeverafter, a Sacramento based alternative/hard rock band signed to Epic Records in the early ‘00s. Handling vocals, lead guitars, and songwriting, Grant released two albums with the band before disbanding them in 2012. Grant then served as touring guitarist for LA Guns for five years and also recorded one album with the band. Prince, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Guns 'N Roses, David Bowie, Tom Petty, and In Flames are all influences on Grant and informed the sound of "Always The Villain". Grant is now focused full-time on The Assassins, who have already played shows in the US, including a performance on the Monsters of Rock Cruise 2019. The band plans to get out and play shows again, once we’ve all returned to a sense of normalcy, of course.

VIRGIN STEELE Release New Video Clips "Kingdom of the Fearless" (Live Video) & "Bonedust" (Orchestral Video)

Heavy metal outfit VIRGIN STEELE are pleased to share more new content with their fans. The New York-based band led by vocalist David DeFeis is currently in the studio working on their new studio album (which is expected to see a 2020 release), but in the meantime the group has steadily put out new videos inspired by their past releases. This go around, they are revisiting "Kingdom of the Fearless" from 'The House of Atreus, Act 1' and "Bonedust" from 'Visions of Eden'. Speaking on the former, De Fais shares,

"About a week ago we were asked to contribute a very short 'Greeting/Shout Out' to the KEEP IT TRUE FESTIVAL audience, which we did. Well immediately after completing that 'Greeting' in which I used part of the song 'KINGDOM OF THE FEARLESS', I thought 'By the thunder of Zeus, I’m already halfway there! Why don’t I complete the whole song??' So I carried on working and now we have the full-length video for 'KINGDOM OF THE FEARLESS' using rehearsal footage, live footage, and some still photos, I believe we have crafted something that both reflects the energy of the song, and invokes the mood of where this song came from…our album 'THE HOUSE OF ATREUS - ACT 1'.”

Never ones to rest our their laurels, VIRGIN STEELE is also releasing a video for the orchestral version of their song "Bonedust" from the album 'Visions of Eden'. De Fais adds,

"I wrote this song for the 'VISIONS OF EDEN' album, where it appears with the instrumentation of vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. The version presented in the video here is quite different. This is the live orchestral take that appeared on the 'GHOST HARVEST VINTAGE 1 (Black Wine For Mourning)' album. This song acts as a “bridge” between those three 'VISIONS OF EDEN' clips we just issued on video a week or so ago, and what will be forthcoming in the next week or two."

"This version of 'BONEDUST' was actually recorded during those live sessions for the 'GOTHIC VOODOO ANTHEMS' album, but I chose to put it on 'GHOST HARVEST', as it seemed to fit nicely in between the tracks 'PSYCHIC SLAUGHTER' and 'HEARTS ON FIRE'. Using vocals, piano, some angry cellos, keyboards and orchestral percussion, this is a very different take on the song. This version presents the more Bluesy Voodoo-esque side of the track as well as the Gothic, Barbaric-Romantic nature of what we do. We wanted to strip things down to their basic raw essence and present a different view. We carried that idea forward and continued working with these concepts for all the 'GOTHIC VOODOO ANTHEMS' album tracks."

On working with guest musicians, “Fabulous rock musicians came by during these sessions to lend their magnificent skills such as members of Cheap Trick (Daxx Nielsen), Mike Portnoy (Sons of Apollo, Winery Dogs), and Steve Ramone.”

The band plans to tour the U.S. and Europe in support of "Brainwashed Generation", once conditions allow touring activity to resume safely for fans and artists alike.

Originally formed in 1984 in Chicago, IL, the band received their big break in 1989 when they signed to Atco/Atlantic Records. Their self-titled debut album was a monster hit and spawned two evergreen singles, “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle”. Both received constant airplay on radio and heavy rotation on MTV, spending over 60 weeks in the Top 10. 1991 saw the band release their sophomore album, “Strength”. The album had more of a hard rock overtone and sustained the success achieved on the first album. The band made high profile television and radio appearances on the likes of David Letterman and Howard Stern and were featured in Rolling Stone’s Hot Issue as ‘The Next Big Thing'. The band soldiered on during the new musical climates of the ‘90s and went on to release another over a dozen more studio records.

Architect Within, have premiered their official music video for single "Lost, till You."

"Lost, till You" could seem relatively ambiguous as if it were just another relationship song...
However ,for me, the lyrics reflect redemption and a feeling of despair until Christ came into my life, and all of the different things that I tried to do to fill the void until he was present in me.
I hope that people find this song encouraging" says front man Tim Jones.

Architect Within is a Christ centered rock band formed in 2019 by Tim Jones and Aaron Davenport, sparked by Tim's Christian conversion in late 2014. Architect Within is fronted by Tim, a passion driven singer/songwriter playing bass/guitar ,while Aaron is a known shredder guitarist who's chops are second to none. Both Tim and Aaron heavily contribute to the songwriting process. These two seasoned performers combined their talents to create music with a faithful message unlike anything on the music market today both Christian or otherwise.
