NYTT LAND embarks on a new musical journey to dark, western frontiers with their upcoming EP, 'Ritual: Blood of the West', to be released digitally via Napalm Records on November 18, 2022. Based on tracks from their latest album, Ritual, that have been reworked in country style, NYTT LAND return with pristine interpretations of their own songs reimagined in gothic folk and western-inspired ways. Following their traditions and connection to nature, NYTT LAND directs its powers toward a new territory, leaving behind the rough lands of the north and embarking on a sonic journey in five transfixing songs.

Staying thematically faithful to ancient legends and adapting to the temperate sounds of the west, opening song “Dark Country Ritual” not only displays NYTT LAND’s dedication to their own legacy, but opens the EP with an enchanting, ambient new sound, rising and falling like smoke. On “The Blues of Ragnarok” and “Song of U-Gra” the band flexes its trademark vocal approach with summoning chants that gently carry the listener away to another mental state, conveying more tranquil versions of the originals without losing their depth and ancient thematic significance. “Dead Man’s Ballad” tells its story like a coyote howling at the moon, offering a mysterious yet soothing blend of guitar and vocals that reinterpret the band’s dark folk essence. “Blood of the West” closes the EP with acoustic guitar instrumentals that summon the spirits of the west and leaves the listener enchanted, induced in the serene, ancient sounds of the grasslands.

27-year-old Jason Hartless has been an in demand drummer in the music world for quite a number of years. He began touring at the tender age of 11 years old and at 14, still yet to see a day of high school, he became a hired gun drummer for one of the opening acts on Motley Crue’s “Crue Fest 2” tour that crisscrossed the United States the summer of 2009. He was recruited at 20 years old by the fellow Detroit native, Ted Nugent, and has since been his go-to drummer on all Nugent related work. Jason and Nugent just finished up the Sold-Out “Detroit Muscle” US summer tour. While working with Nugent, Jason has also toured and/or recorded with other artists such as Sponge, Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow), Tantric, Mitch Ryder, Pop Evil and Insane Clown Posse. Jason will be heading out this fall drumming for Eric Martin (Mr Big). (dates below)

On September 17th, 2022, Jason will be reactivating his family’s long-time business, Sound City Music Group Inc., where he will serve as a managing partner and head of product development. After working for 6 years in the same capacity at Prudential Music Group and having great success, Sound City will be relaunching with exciting releases by The Sweet, Ted Nugent, Missing Persons, Steeler, Sparks and many more fan favorites. Jason and Sound City has partnered with legendary guitarist, songwriter and founding member of THE SWEET, Andy Scott and his boss, the legendary Ted Nugent to bring fans worldwide an incredible amount of their never released music and merchandise. "I wanted to take something that my parents worked many years to build, even before I was born. With the strong relationships we have in the music industry, I wanted to resurrect a concept/ record label that my dad started back in his years as a working musician. I have had the Sound City name as a part of my household my whole life and when the opportunity was presented for me to go on my own, I took it and ran with it. I was brought up to honor commitments, embrace loyalty and be ethical when conducing business. So I am going to stay on at Prudential for as long as I am needed or until their last product I was involved with ships,. On September 17th 2022 sees the relaunching of Sound City Music Group Inc. with my family. Like I said earlier, along touring with Ted all summer, I have been working 2 full time jobs it seems," says Jason.

He adds, "But, I am very excited for everyone to see what Sound City has coming down the pipe, so many exciting things including more from my partnerships with Andy Scott of the SWEET and my boss Ted Nugent, just so much more great things. Weapons of Anew Release New Single "Break the Ties" + Official Music Video

Hard Rock outfit Weapons of Anew released their new song “Break The Ties” to all major platforms. It will be the first song released with new members, singer Richie Hume and drummer Lun’iah Fontana. The new song is the first to be released from the forthcoming 2023 release, The Art of War.

This was the first song written for The Art of War. It came about as guitarist Freddy Ordine and Logan Mader (Machine Head, Once Human) hit it off while on tour together. WOA were auditioning producers and Freddy, a huge fan of early Machine Head material, invited Logan to spend time at their studio.

"I couldn't be happier with how this song came together and turned out,” exclaims Ordine. "It had our New York attitude and Logan's west coast vibe. We really nailed the direction I wanted to take Weapons in!! Logan was just amazing to work with!!!!”

“Break The Ties” is about cutting away the bad and being in a more together space with everything. "It's crazy to me that a year after this song was written, [bassist] Reno and I moved to Florida and rebuilt Weapons,” adds Ordine. "I guess subconsciousness is a mother f*cker!!! Had we only known or listened sooner!!!"

This Tampa-based hard rock outfit, originally from New Jersey, released their debut, The Collision of Love and Hate, in 2017 and toured heavily to support it, including opening for Scott Stapp, Alterbridge and Tesla. WOA recorded a second album for release in 2020, with the first song released, being a cover of The Chainsmokers “Sick Boy” dropping in September 2020, reaching #25 on Billboard Active Rock, #18 Billboard Indicator and #27 Mediabase Active Rock.

It currently has 1.2 million streams. The release was delayed due to COVID and in mid-2021 WOA made their personnel changes and re-recorded the songs for The Art of War.

Manchester art-rock quartet Weimar present the single 'Heaven on High Street East' along with a new video driving home the lyrics. A lush prog indie-folk ballad, this is a Kitchen Sink Drama exploring abusive relationships in suburbia, and the vapid existence of the perpetrators of domestic abuse.

"This song also specifically explores the contrast between real life and the sanitized, sugar-coated and idealized version of reality depicted on social media, and how this is used to intensify the psychological torment and gaslighting prevalent in abusive relationships. From its lush beginnings to its intense finale, 'Heaven On High Street East' is a brutal exposition of the grim reality behind the net curtains of suburbia and the superficial facade presented by social media," says Weimar frontman Aidan Cross.

This is the latest taster from the band's debut album 'Dancing On a Volcano', out now via German Shepherd Records. Here are 12 tracks (three years in the making), which take the listener on an unpredictable excursion through the socio-political and personal challenges of our modern age.

Formed in 2016, Weimar is made up of vocalist-guitarist-songwriter Aidan Cross (The Bacillus, Black Light Mutants), bassist John Armstrong (The Speed Of Sound), drummer Anthony ‘Eddy’ Edwards (The Deceased) and guitarist Stephen Sarsen (Frank Is Dead, Playground).

Recently, Weimar shared 'Soho Rain' featuring Leeds' artist Finola, a single dedicated to London's Soho district, and 'I Smashed The Looking Glass', exploring the interrelationship between an artist's true self and their public persona. Cynical and sardonic, but also optimistic and hopeful, this song features label mate Loop-Aznavour of Adventures of Salvador on theremin. Iron Maiden’s Legacy of the Beast free-to-play mobile game is excited to announce another major in-game collaboration, this time with Dutch symphonic metal band, Within Temptation!

Following several successful collaborations last year, in 2022 Legacy of the Beast have teamed up with Disturbed,Powerwolf, Arch Enemy, Five Finger Death Punch and now touring partners, Within Temptation, who will be joining Iron Maiden on the second leg of their US tour in October 2022.

This exciting collaboration has culminated in a dungeon event called ‘The Purge’ inspired by Within Temptation’s 2020 single of the same name and a newly created character, Genesis. In this new storyline, Genesis teams up with the Different World iteration of Eddie - who was inspired by the lyrics, themes and imagery of Iron Maiden's 2006 track ‘Different World’ and the subsequent music video. This week-long event will take fans and players on a journey with Different World Eddie and Genesis, who’s now been woven into the Legacy of the Beast lore, as mother of the Different World.

Genesis has remained in isolation for thousands of years and through a network of caretakers- she has recently become aware of the instability that has overtaken her home. Now she sets off to find the root of the issue. Now Genesis, moving towards a stronghold of the Different World Machine God, runs into Different World Eddie - a shard of the Eternal who has adopted the Different World philosophy. Together will they breach the Machine God’s forces and stamp out a small part of the hivemind’s plan?

New York-based garage rocker Dmitry Wild presents a rock anthem with meaning - 'Liberation' feat. Tryst is the first taster of his forthcoming 'Electric Souls' album. The accompanying video features imagery, symbolizing both protest and hope, with film footage captured in Ukraine, Spain, Czech Republic and various US locales, including Florida, Massachusetts, Tennessee and San Francisco.

Showcasing his trademark blend of 70’s vintage rock, garage rock and punk ethos, this song is quite timely, speaking to a great number of situations around the world where oppression is systemic and power struggles endure at the people's expense.

Dmitry wrote 'Liberation' as a virtual rock opera - a two-part opus dedicated to liberating ourselves from the oppressions of the systems in place. The first part roars as a classic rock banger before transitioning to a notable confrontation with a policeman at the protest while searching for what unites us, before an epic solo inspired by David Bowie's 'Moonage Daydream'. The song ends with Tryst joining in, the duet singing in tandem “Set us free, Love will Rise and set us free".

"This album is rooted in our human experience in the 21st century. Things have come to a boiling point this year on the social and climate front and at the global level. There are protests, virtual revolutions and personal revolutions that we are all undergoing, but by arming ourselves with electricity and guitars, we are still making noise and yelling about our belonging in this beautiful and wild place," says Dmitry Wild.

"As fears subside, we can gather together and sing for 'Liberation'. The only thing that binds us together is our voices - in unison they create a thunder storm as resistance movements unveil their power, as people ultimately realize that higher powers control a lot beyond our voting rights."

Very passionate about the craft of songwriting, Dmitry Wild used the downtime of the great pandemic to get some serious work done, completing the final writing for this solo album and gradually recording this material. Some material from earlier is also included, dating back to when he was living in California.

With music steeped in garage rock and rock n roll, this album also brings in the flair of 80’s epic synths, bluesy songs, gypsy-inspired compositions, and 70’s-inspired driving tunes.

On this album, Wild collaborated with Strange House Media, their main engineer, Byron Frayne, mixing most of the songs included here and mastering the full album. This collaboration also extended to the two songs released from this album to date - the videos for 'Don’t Need Anybody' and 'Castle Walls' were also created in collaboration with Strange House Media, Byron Frayne and Tryst as editor.

On the live music scene, Dmitry's shows take on a more rocking sound. Performing under the name Dmitry Wild & The Spells, the band currently involves Tommy Love on drums, Robert Paley on bass, Garret Smelcer on keyboards, and David Varlow on rhythm guitar. He is also sometimes joined by notable Rockabilly bassist Chops LaConte and then things take on a more theatrical turn.

September 16, 2022 - John ‍Entwistle is best known as the legendary bassist ‍for the Who. Nicknamed the Ox and Thunderfingers, Entwistle's music career spanned over four decades and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame as a member of the Who in 1990. Renowned for his musical abilities, he was voted as the greatest bassist ‍of all time in a 2011 Rolling Stone magazine readers' poll and in its special "100 Greatest Bass Players" issue in 2017. Bass Player magazine named Entwistle at number seven.

Rarities Oxhumed - Volume One is the first in a series of posthumous releases coming from John Entwistle as part of a new partnership with Deko Entertainment and longtime friend and collaborator Steve Luongo. This first one has unreleased and remastered studio tracks, demos, and live tracks with gems like “Bogey Man” featuring Keith Moon, “Where You Going Now” (demo for the Who), and a raw live version of “Trick of the Light” recorded during the John Entwistle Band’s final tour in 2001. We will also take you behind the scenes with an expanded booklet with never-before-seen photos and a look into life on the road with John Entwistle. As Steve Luongo comments, “John and I began touring together in 1987. Every tour was more fun than the last. That was the idea. Play loud aggressive rock & roll, have fun, laugh our asses off, travel to the next gig, and repeat. During the 15 years that we worked together as a rhythm section, we remained true to that cause. Along the way we recorded some records and created a sizable catalog of ideas and material for the future. The future is now.”

The album cover concept was conceived by Steve Luongo and Chris Entwistle (John’s son). It gives a nod to John’s dark sense of humor and includes many of John’s favorite things. The two also worked with celebrity designer Queenie (Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Cardi B) to create two commemorative pieces of jewelry based on the Entwistle Crest. These are limited to only 300 each of both a necklace and keychain. As Deko president, Bruce Pucciarello, states, “Hearing the foundation of sound that John Entwistle provided Pete Townshend on Live at Leeds was transformational for me. Watching Steve find these never heard gems from John’s career and making them available to the public is an honor for everyone involved.”

Scotty McCreery to Release "Same Truck: The Deluxe Album" Nov. 18 on Vinyl, Digital & CD

On the heels of three straight weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart with his RIAA Gold-certified hit song “Damn Strait” and the recent launch of his new single “It Matters to Her,” which was the second most added song at country radio this week, Triple Tigers recording artist Scotty McCreery announces the release of Same Truck: The Deluxe Album coming Nov. 18 on vinyl, CD and digital formats. Fans can listen to “Nothin’ Right,” one of six new tracks featured on the deluxe album, today.

“We had more songs I loved ready for the original release of Same Truck than we could put on that album, so I am pumped that Triple Tigers asked me to do a Deluxe Edition where I could add six more songs,” said McCreery. “We’ve also had a lot of requests for a vinyl version of Same Truck over the last year, so I’m excited we can offer that option as well.”

Same Truck: The Deluxe Album was produced by Frank Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis. The project features 18 songs including the six new tracks: “Falling for a Stranger” written by Eshuis, Travis Wood, and Hannah Ellis; “Here and Ready” by Abe Stoklasa, Sarah Buxton, and Mikey Reeves; “Nothin’ Right” written by McCreery, Jordan Schmidt, Jared Mullins, and James McNair; “On It” written by McCreery, Jessi Alexander, Jonathan Singleton, and Rogers; “Live a Little” written by McCreery, Eshuis, and Blake Chaffin; and “Small Town Story” written by McCreery, Ashley Gorley, and Zach Crowell.

“On It” reunites McCreery with Alexander, Singleton, and Rogers - the writing team responsible for his Gold-certified 2020 No. 1 hit “In Between” from his No. 1 album Seasons Change. “Small Town Story” finds McCreery again joining with Gorley and Crowell, with whom he also wrote his Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “See You Tonight” from 2013.

What do you get if you blend the melodic essence that helped shape the ‘70s and the raw garage revival of the late ‘90s with a modern touch of uplifting lyrics and undeniable energy?

The answer is Liar Thief Bandit – a power trio born to play live with the sole purpose to carry the torch of all that ever was, is and will be rock’n’roll in its purest form.

After humble beginnings in 2015 making demos and playing those first crucial shows, the defining journey took off in late 2016 when the self-produced debut album 'Gun Shovel Alibi' was released. Extensive touring followed and the band’s DIY-ethics brought them to numerous European countries during 2017. Their lightening, energetic live show caught attention and left the audience wanting more.

That hectic tour schedule influenced the three-piece to write, record and deliver their sophomore epos 'Straight Ahead' released in August 2018 quickly followed by three European tours putting Liar Thief Bandit on the map as a hard-working rock’n’roll band to reckon with.

With new songs in the making, May 2019 saw the trio doing their 100th show in Hamburg as the premiere of an 18-day tour through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Poland and Czech Republic. Carousel Kings released their new collaboration track titled “Tragic” featuring Rory Rodriguez to all major platforms! This is the fifth single leading up to their independent full length release titled Untitled Mixtape that was co-written, produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio, in Lancaster, PA.

"Tragic is a rock song that is lyrically a self reflection on life that features vocalist Rory Rodriguez , who’s part in the bridge really brings out the desperation feeling the lyrics were going for," says David Alexander.

Carousel Kings is the main project of founder and vocalist David Alexander. CK began its career in Lancaster, PA as a pop punk band circa 2008. The band released two full length albums on local indie label CI Records and toured relentlessly before signing to Victory Records and releasing Charm City in 2017 and Plus Ultra in 2019. The band completed multiple US tours including two runs on the legendary Vans Warped Tour and played alongside contemporaries like Taking Back Sunday, Rise Againstand Less Than Jake, they toured Japan twice the UK and Germany before taking some time off.

CK has spent the last few years quietly writing and working on what will be their fifth studio album titled Untitled Mixtape to be released independently via their publisher and label partner Mother West. Recorded and written with longtime collaborators Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio in Lancaster, PA, the album consists of collaborations with artists Will Barovick, Sunday Friend, Sadgods, AJ Perdomo, and features including Saxl Rose, Rory Rodrigez, and Paycheck. It’s an eclectic blend of punk and pop and takes CK into some new ground they have yet to explore. Untitled Mixtape is scheduled for a February 2023 release with several singles that came out through the spring and summer.

Ahead of her new album 'What Do Whales Dream About at Night?', NYC-based song-savvy storyteller Jessie Kilguss presents the emotive title track with a video produced and directed by Deborah Magocsi.

This long-player comes four years after her album 'The Fastness', and already the album is greatly anticipated following the release of advance singles 'Sleepwalking Heart' and 'Great White Shark'.

"This song was inspired by the poem 'Headphones'by Ukrainian poet Serhiy Zhadan. Zhadan’s poem takes place during the previous war in Ukraine. The protagonist is a poet, who escapes the harsh realities of the war happening around him by putting on his headphones and tuning out the world. There’s a line "think of whales in the ocean at night" that I found incredibly evocative. I wrote all the lyrics in one go after reading that line," says Jessie Kilguss.

"I wrote this song pre-pandemic to perform in a show with the Bushwick Book Club, a performance series where songwriters read the same book, write a song about it and perform it at a public show. This show was at the Ukrainian Museum in New York and Serhiy Zhadan was a special guest. It was an honor to meet him and perform this song for him. I follow him on Instagram. He’s in Ukraine doing very brave work on the front lines. He’s fundraising for his relief efforts. You can follow him (and support him) on Instagram at @serhy_zhadan".

Working with the dream team of drummer Brian Griffin (Patti Smith, Brandi Carlisle, Lana Del Rey), bass guitarist Whynot Jansveld (The Wallflowers, Butch Walker, Sara Bareilles), and LA-based award-winning composer and producer Naren Rauch on guitar, they are joined by Nathan Schram (Bjork, David Crosby, David Byrne, The Attacca Quartet), with whom Kilguss runs the non-profit organization Musicambia.

Co-produced by Adam Lasus (Yo La Tengo, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Helium)along with Kilguss and her band members (Brian Griffin, Naren Rauch, Whynot Jansveld), Lasus engineered the recordings, which were mixed and mastered by Charlie Nieland (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie).

Kilguss is a former actress, whose acting highlights include the film adaptation of Arthur Miller’s 'The Crucible', starring Daniel Day Lewis and Winona Ryder, and the UK production of 'As You Like It', directed by Royal Shakespeare Company founder Sir Peter Hall.

She made the switch to songwriting after working with one of her musical heros Marianne Faithfull in the London and Sydney productions of 'The Black Rider', a musical written by Tom Waits and William Burroughs, which was directed by Robert Wilson and also featured Mary Margaret O'Hara.

In addition to writing and performing her own music, Kilguss also sings with Gramercy Arms, Jim Andralis and the Syntonics and Benjamin Cartel, having previously performed at the Sundance Film Festival and with Freddie Stevenson, supporting The Waterboys during their European tour.

As of September 16, the title track 'What do Whales Dream About at Night?' will be available across digital platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. The full album will be released on September 23. That same evening, Kilguss celebrates her album with a release show at Rockwood Music Hall in New York.

Since 2002, the band surrounding global metal icon Simone Simons and her long-time musical partner Mark Jansen have released eight highly innovative and cinematic albums, have toured the world over and have left their mark as one of metal’s most prolific, most cherished and most admired success stories forever.

With "The Alchemy Project", out on November 11th through Atomic Fire Records, EPICA set another highlight in the band's 20th anniversary year! Graced by a vivid and witty artwork by graphic wizard Heilemania, visual partner in crime for more that 15 years, EPICA embark on a journey through seven extraordinary new songs. Co-written and performed with diverse guests ranging from extremists like Fleshgod Apocalypse, Niilo Sevänen (Insomnium) and Björn ‘Speed’ Strid (Soilwork) via melodic masters like Tommy Karevik (Kamelot), keyboard legend Phil Lanzon (Uriah Heep) or Roel van Helden (Powerwolf)to a once-in-a-lifetime song with Simone Simons, Charlotte Wessels and Myrkur, EPICA have really outdone themselves once again. The result is a mind-bending EP that even surpasses the usual broad scope of an EPICA record.

The first track they wrote for this 7-track-offering was 'The Final Lullaby', a fast-paced, intense clash between EPICA and the avant-garde rock of Norwegian legends SHINING (with saxophone!), graced with one of the biggest refrains you will hear all year. "I’ve been a big fan of Shining since the first time I heard them," bassist Rob van der Loo weighs in. "Our intention with ‘The Final Lullaby’ was to make a mash-up between Epica and Shining so we thought it would be a good idea if I would come up with some riffs that would be typical Shining and they would do the complete opposite."

Weapons of Anew Release New Single "Break the Ties" + Official Music Video

Hard Rock outfit Weapons of Anew released their new song “Break The Ties” to all major platforms today. It will be the first song released with new members, singer Richie Hume and drummer Lun’iah Fontana. The new song is the first to be released from the forthcoming 2023 release, The Art of War.

It currently has 1.2 million streams. The release was delayed due to COVID and in mid-2021 WOA made their personnel changes and re-recorded the songs for The Art of War.

WOA are Richie Hume (vocals), Freddy Ordine (guitar), Reno (bass), Kevin Hicklin (guitar) and Lun’iah Fontana (drums).
