BLACKLITE DISTRICT Releases Official Music Video for “Gotta Get Out of Here;” New LP, '1990' Out 12/31/2021!

South Dakota-based rock artist KYLE PFEIFFER, better known by the name BLACKLITE DISTRICT has released the official music video for his newest single, "Gotta Get Out of Here." Shot and edited by Clinton Cunanan of Mirage M’hal, LLC, "Gotta Get Out of Here" is the first single off of the artist's upcoming LP, 1990, which is due to release 12/31/2021. Leaning heavily into his rock roots, "Gotta Get Out of Here" originally premiered on Metal Insider, it's no surprise that it quickly drew over 220,000 streams on the video alone.

The second single off of the album is due to release Black Friday, November 26th, and will premiered over on VENTS Magazine.

John Lodge, legendary bass player, songwriter and vocalist of The Moody Blues, and inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, has released a live version of his classic hit ‘Gemini Dream’.

The song was recorded live in Las Vegas on ‘The Royal Affair Tour’, and appears on John’s new album ‘The Royal Affair and After’ due for release on December 3rd, and available now for pre-order here. This is the second single from the album, and a video to accompany, featuring John and his band has premiered on the John Lodge YouTube page.

"Gemini Dream" was originally released on the 1981 Moody Blues ‘Long Distance Voyager’ album, and reached no.12 in the Billboard Hot 100 charts, earning John Lodge and Justin Hayward an ASCAP award for song-writing. The song deals with the relationship between performer and audience, and you can see and hear the electric connection between John and his audience when he performs this song! John and his 10,000 Light Years Band bring an incredible energy to this recording, and it was a fan favourite on the ‘Royal Affair Tour’, never failing to get the audience up and dancing!

“‘Long time no see’… those opening words to Gemini Dream resonate even more with me today - what was true in 1981 has become true again in 2021. The song is about balancing ‘twin’ lives – touring musicians, and non-touring musicians. I finished my tour on March 8, 2020, and was in lockdown within days, but I never expected to be off the road for this long… Although this was a forced ‘sojourn’, it was a creative time, writing and recording new songs and a time well-spent with family, but as the song says, “the time is right” to get back on the road. Let’s keep that Gemini Dream alive for all of us…..and thank you for keeping the faith.” John Lodge.

Joining John on stage is his ’10,000 Light Years Band’; Alan Hewitt (Music Director and Keyboards), Billy Ashbaugh (Drums), Duffy King (Guitars) and Jason Charboneau (Cello) and together they capture the heart of this classic Moody Blues song, a song that is so relevant again today for John and the band as they wait to get back on the road in 2022.

AUSTIN MEADE SHARES NSFW "DOPAMINE DROP" VIDEO

VIDEO CAPTURES THE LIFE ON THE ROAD OF A CONSTANTLY ON-TOUR ARTIST

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Austin Meade, who is a little bit country, a little bit rock, and a whole lotta heart, has released the slightly NSFW video for "Dopamine Drop." Watch it below.

The video captures life on the road and the tour grind. There's plenty of backstage antics and hijinks, tattoo sessions, truck stops, blowup dolls, the partying, the good times, and of course, lots and lots of performances.

"This year, we have been crazy busy, in new areas all over the country," Meade reflects about the video, which offers a slice of road life. "It's hard to look back and remember all the new things happening at once, so I wanted to document some of the 2021 tour and give everyone a raw look at the road. The only way to keep a band together after months of overnight drives, and limited personal space, is by loosening up and enjoying the small stuff. 'Dopamine Drop' was written about that exact feeling, so it was the right song for the footage. A huge thanks to my crew for sticking out the long hours and thanks to all of our new road family for making this year a big milestone for us."

The song appears on the artist's Snakefarm Records' debut Black Sheep, which is out now. Get it here.

Ryman Auditorium Hosts NASCAR Street Party During NASCAR Champion's Week 11/30-12/2

Ryman Auditorium is ready to celebrate NASCAR Champion’s Week with the NASCAR Street Party at PNC Plaza at Ryman Auditorium Nov. 30 to Dec. 2.

The events will take place Nov. 30, from 2-7 p.m.; Dec. 1, from 1-7 p.m. and Dec. 2, from 2-7 p.m.

The special plaza parties will feature free live music, photo opportunities with NASCAR race cars and appearances by champion drivers, giveaways, food trucks, local vendors and family activities on PNC Plaza at Ryman Auditorium.

SONG APPEARS ON NEW ALBUM WELCOME HOME NOW OUT JANUARY 21 VIA SPINEFARM

New York City-based collective VRSTY (pronounced "Varsity") — Joey Varela [vocals], Javy Dorrejo [bass], Chris Cody [drums], and Paul Gregory [guitar] — have shared the new song "Soul." And it's another banger that blends different styles and hopscotches across genres and results in a completely fresh style all its own. The song track, well, plenty of "Soul."

Listen to the song, which is built on galloping, western-style nuances, and urgent percussion, topped off by Varela's smooth vocals, below.

"I love this song so much," comments Varela. "It's funny because this song was written way before the idea of a record was a thing and even before Spinefarm came along. This song came from a dream I had where I sold my soul to the devil and I heard the song playing in my head as I was dreaming."

He continues, "I woke up and wrote it, and it ended up becoming my favorite thing ever. It was also the first song I shared when I started putting together the record and it was the one everybody instantly fell in love with. In a weird way it's like this song is its own person and it sucks everyone in."

Welcome Home is the band's debut full length for the label and follows last year's breakthrough Cloud City EP, which has accumulated six million streams in less than a year and yielded the head-turning singles "Shameless" and "Massive." THE DRIPPERS mix raw production with sing-along choruses on their new garage rock hit "No Stars" - the third and final single leading up to the Swedish power trio's new album 'Scandinavian Thunder'. Viktor Skatt, bass player and vocalist, comments on the new single:

"No Stars might be our first attempt at a melodic chorus, kinda like the pretty dude in the ugly boys club. So our producer Tomas Skogsberg made sure we made it shitty, since we're not The Beach Boys. The guitar solo was recorded directly into the mixing board to get the rawest sound we could find."

The Drippers has gained a reputation of being an explosive live band in a classic genre that's coming back to life. In 2018 the band released their debut EP “Motherfuckers Be Drippin’”. The track Solitary Speaking was included in the “A Fistful More Of Rock And Roll” compilation released by Sal Canzonieri of Electric Frankenstein. The track was also released as a music video.

The band has become a popular live act, sharing the bill with bands like Turbonegro, Supersuckers, Hank Von Hell, The Dwarves, The Baboon Show, Mustasch, Robert Pehrsson’s Humbucker, Honningbarna, Scumbag Millionaire, Deadheads, Hard Action, Märvel, Night, etc.

The Dripper's debut album Action Rock was recorded in Sunlight Studio and produced by legendary Tomas Skogsberg (who during the ’90s took The Hellacopters, Gluecifer, Backyard Babies, Entombed under his wings). The result is an eleven-track testimonial that led to a record deal with The Sign Records. The main single, "Gimme The Shakes", quickly became a sensation in the Action Rock community as the music video was released, it showed a band that was hungrier than ever and ready to take on the world.

The album was released on August 2nd, 2019 to great critical acclaim and a thunderous release party at Weltturbojugendtage in Hamburg. Reviews have been outstanding and by the time of release, several distributors had already sold out their batch of records. Hellion Records in Brazil quickly bought a license to release the album to the South American market. The band also did a UK tour with The Hip Priests in November 2019, before landing big opening slots for acts like Hank Von Hell and Monster Magnet.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all touring was canceled, but the band instead wrote and recorded their second album Scandinavian Thunder. The album was once again produced, recorded, and mixed by Tomas Skogsberg in Sunlight Studio. The album channels all the frustration and disillusion that was built up while society was put on hold. The menacing riffs and shitty sound is backed up by strong songwriting and catchy hooks. The band is now ready to release this lightning in a bottle upon the world. Get ready for some Scandinavian Thunder.

SIAMESE Release Music Video for "Sloboda" - New Album 'Home' Coming December 10th

With their new album, 'Home', only a few weeks away, Copenhagen’s SIAMESE have unleashed one of their most poignant songs to date. Entitled "Sloboda", the track speaks to frontman Mirza Radonjica’s personal experience in the wake of seeking refuge from the Balkan War with his family.

The track is a mixture of Serbian (his mother tongue) and English lyrics, and unleashes monstrous breakdowns alongside mesmerizing vocals. A captivating single with a deeper meaning.

Radonjica elaborates on his experiences which influenced the lyrical content and themes within the song:

"I'm a Muslim refugee of the Nineties Balkan war and one of the first very dramatic things I remember is my whole village standing on the side of the road and crying as they waved us goodbye. We were supposed to go to Sweden but ended up in Denmark because, to be honest, we couldn’t tell the difference.” He goes on to tell us about where the title of the song came from, “I saw my Aunties and Grandmother cry, and I asked my Mum why we had to leave, she told me, “Freedom, son” (sloboda, sine). Little did I know how that freedom would be so bittersweet later on. Living in Denmark, it was difficult to adapt, and throughout my youth I saw how I was looked at differently, even if I was trying hard to be the same. Everything truly comes with a price."

DISCONNECTED is a modern metal band drawing influences from Gojira, Deftones, and Alter Bridge.

They released their debut album White Colossus in March 2018 through indie record label Apathia Records on all major streaming platforms with physical releases in Europe and Japan.

After playing numerous gigs in France they opened for Tremonti on his 2018 European tour playing a further 24 shows across 17 countries. This expanded the European fan base notably in the UK, Germany and France.

After being noticed by Drouot Production and Ossy Hoppe of Wizard Promotion, the band were invited to open for Judas Priest in January 2019 (Zenith of Paris). Disconnected also supported Mass Hysteria in March and November 2019.

The band will also be playing Rock Fest 2022 (postponed edition of 2020) in Barcelona, Wacken.

OpenAir 2022 (postponed edition of 2020) in Germany, and festival of Cabaret Vert 2022 (postponed edition of 2020).

They recorded their second album and plan on releasing it in the first half of 2022.

Previous to this they released a first excerpt : "UNSTOPPABLE" the 10th of April 2020 with already more than 950,000 streams on Spotify, and more than 100,000 views on the music vid (Facebook and YouTube views combined)

OBSCURA wrote, recorded, and finalized A Valediction during the pandemic. The stipulations of working during this time allowed OBSCURA to work cross-country, tracking each respective part—drums, guitar, and bass—in national studios across The Netherlands, Austria, and Germany. Once the pieces were completed, the recordings were shipped off to award-winning producer Fredrik Nordström and Studio Fredman (In Flames, Architects) in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Kummerer and Münzner completed vocals and acoustic guitars using custom-built ENGL amps. Nordström was also tapped to mix and master. The final result is a deeper, heavier, yet more rounded production.

Lyrically, A Valediction is layered in structure and meaning. The word ‘valediction,’ by definition, deals with goodbyes and farewells. In a way, this is auf wiedersehen to the four-part album series while also addressing complex topics of Kummerer’s personal life. Instead of obscuring issues of loss, death, and abandonment in metaphor and allusion, the German laid bare his torment across songs like "Forsaken," "Solaris," "In Unity," "The Neuromancer," and "In Adversity." But for every line of desperation, he also offers positivity. Indeed, new beginnings—physical, emotional, or environmental—can provide light in the darkness. Lauded artist Eliran Kantor (Testament, Helloween) was brought on board to visualize the leitmotif. The bronze-themed colorway Kantor used exemplifies OBSCURA’s resistance to individual and sonic corrosion.

A longtime staple of the Texas music scene, Wade Bowen continues to prove that his music can’t be constrained by the state line with today’s release of his highly anticipated six-song EP, Where Phones Don’t Work, via Thirty Tigers and produced by Paul Moak. Listen HERE.

A dozen albums have shown Bowen’s evolution – including six studio sets, two beloved live collections, a gospel album and an ongoing series of buddy-country hits with fellow Texan, Randy Rogers – yet with each distinct piece of art his focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality and constantly reexamining his sonic territory to match his life, as evidenced once again on Where Phones Don’t Work, which sees Bowen as a cowriter on all six songs.

The project opens with the title track, “Phones Don’t Work,” cowritten with Aaron Raitiere and Rhett Akins, a song with a singalong quality born from Bowen’s desire to push himself to write bigger sounding sounds, with the results seemingly tailormade for a long-awaited return to live shows.

“Where We Call Home” follows, with the Brad Clawson and Jeremy Bussey cowrite marking a years-in-the-making return to Nashville songwriting sessions for Bowen and celebrating the little things that bring joy in life, from an old Waylon Jennings song to your first car. “Those things are important to me,” says Bowen of the lyrics’ nostalgic details. “Every day, we should find those little gems that bring us comfort and make us take a deep breath and appreciate what we have.”

“The Last Town in Texas,” one of two cowrites with Eric Paslay and Heather Morgan on the project,” is championed by Bowen as the song he believes in most from his entire career thus far and also marks the first time he’s namechecked his home state in a song. “I’ve always said I’m an artist from Texas, not a Texas artist,” he explains. “I’ve made it a point not to say Texas in any of my songs. This one was completely different, though, because it had to be said. I love when it’s done right and differently.”

The other Paslay/Morgan cowrite on the project, lead single “When Love Comes Around,” was awarded MusicRow’s “Disc of the Day” award upon its recent release, with Billboard also honoring the song among the best of the week, noting that “two decades into his music career, Bowen’s music retains a newcomer’s energetic fervor, melded with his signature blend of sounds from across the wide spectrum of Texas music.”

“Trouble Is” marks a bucket-list cowrite for Bowen, who wrote the track praised by Outsider as a song that “rivals some of his best work” with the legendary Steve Earle. “I was just hoping he liked me as a person – that was my goal,” notes Bowen. “To actually get a great song out of it makes it that much better.”

Closing out the project, “Be You,” written with Drew Kennedy, is what Bowen describes as “the mission statement of the entire project,” intended to lift people up after the difficulties of the past year-plus. “We decided to make this the final song on this EP because we wanted this to be the feeling people walk away with when they’re done with the project,” notes Bowen. “This song is just saying to everybody, ‘Please take a deep breath, find the good in the world and, most importantly, find the good in each other, and we’ll get back to a much better place than we are right now.”

Together, the collection marks the first solo project from Bowen in three years, with the promise of a full-length album on the horizon for 2022.

    • Literally translating to “an unwelcome” or “unacceptable” person, PERSONA NON GRATA touches on themes of modern societal disgust and degradation. The band gathered at Tom Hunting's house in the mountains where they produced and recorded Persona Non Grata from three home-built studios. Steve Lagudi was at the helm of engineering while the band enlisted Andy Sneap of Backstage Studios to mix the album. For the third time in the band’s history, they returned to Swedish artist Par Olofsson to create the album artwork.

Walker Hayes Announces 'Country Stuff The Album' + Releases New Single "AA"

On the heels of his smash hit “Fancy Like” reaching number one at country radio, Walker Hayes releases his next single “AA” and announces his forthcoming album, Country Stuff The Album.

Country Stuff The Album will include “Fancy Like” as well as previously released “U Gurl,” along with “AA” and 10 other tracks, including Hayes’ collaborations with Carly Pearce, Jake Owen, and Lori McKenna, and a re-imagined version of “Craig” featuring MercyMe.

Country Stuff The Album is available everywhere on January 21, 2022. As always with Hayes’ music, each track on the project will be uniquely his, and share a range of emotion from nostalgia and pain to joy and good old fashion fun.

“I’ve been waiting so long to put out a project like this,” says Hayes. “It has everything I love from the fun of ‘Fancy Like’ to the more personal lyrics in ‘AA.’ As an artist, it’s such a unique thing to be able to share all the different versions of you in a project, and that’s really what I tried to do here.”

Out today, new single “AA” was written by Hayes with Multi-GRAMMY Award Winner Shane McAnally and Luke Laird and produced by “Fancy Like” collaborator Joe Thibodeau and McAnally. The song taps into all the things fans love about “Fancy Like,” but this time, brings in Hayes’ deeper side. True to form, Hayes sings about the experiences of everyday Americans, with “AA” hitting on his anxieties as a dad, his love for his wife Laney, and his own journey with sobriety. He sings:

“At the end of the day, we are all just doing the best we can,” says Hayes about the track, “and what I really mean to say with this song is just that I’m trying to stay the course. I’ve struggled with alcohol abuse and sometimes I wish I didn’t need AA, but I do. I think a lot of people can relate to that. I’m just trying to be the best dad and husband I can be. It’s not easy all the time, but my wife smiles a lot and my kids are growing up with more than I had, and that’s a really good thing.”
