Singer Charlie Rolfe about the new single:

"Hypocrisy is all around us, people claiming to have more of a moral compass just because they follow a certain faith when actually you can be equally or even more friendly and loving than themselves. This song also displays the thoughts and feelings about being controlled and told how you’re supposed to be and feel, especially in the context of organised religion. Think for yourself, ‘question and defy’ your norm, become you.”

"More than just a family, more than just a subculture, we stand with everyone who feels like they don't belong. We are hope for the hopeless and joy for the joyless, we are everything you didn't know you needed. We are As Everything Unfolds."

As Everything Unfolds are a 6-piece melodic post-hardcore band from the High Wycombe, U.K. The band is comprised of frontwoman Charlie Rolfe, guitarists Adam Kerr & Owen Hill, bassist George Hunt, synth player Jon Cassidy and drummer Jamie Gowers.

Since the release of their EP, “Closure” in late 2018, now sitting at well over 1’000’000 streams, the band have grown from strength to strength. They’ve toured heavily across the UK & Europe, including performing alongside acts such as ADEPT, Dream State, Our Hollow, Our Home and more.

The success of their previous release saw the band sign to the esteemed Long Branch Records label in 2020. With huge anticipation building for their follow up to “Closure”. Alongside their dedicated fanbase and hard working ethos, the future is strong for the band, the future is As Everything Unfolds.

THUNDER ANNOUNCE BRAND NEW ALBUM ‘ALL THE RIGHT NOISES’ OUT 12th MARCH 2021 ON BMG

Provided to YouTube by BMG Rights Management (UK) Ltd Last One Out Turn Off the Lights · Thunder Last One Out Turn Off the Lights ℗ 2020 Thunder under exclus...

British hard-rock heroes, Thunder, have announced the release of their 13th studio album ‘All The Right Noises’ on 12th March 2020.

The album is a return to the full-throttle sound of Thunder that has seen them create a hugely successful 30+ year career at the forefront of British rock, all built around the lifelong friendship of vocalist extraordinaire Danny Bowes and songwriting genius and guitarist Luke Morley.

‘All The Right Noises’ is an intense confection of illicit charms that reasserts their authority as the number one band in the land. Recorded in the months leading up to the first Covid-19 lockdown, it was originally due for release in September 2020. Strange to reflect then on how much of the new material appears to address the challenging new world we now inhabit.

On the album, Luke says “ All the songs were written and recorded pre-Covid. But it is interesting how if you look at some of the tracks through the prism of Covid they still make a lot of sense.”

The volcanic lead single from the album, ‘Last One Out Turn Off The Lights’ could easily be mistaken for world-ending lockdown rage. But, says Luke, “That was directly about Brexit, but you could apply it to everything else.”

The track is indicative of both the ferocity and message of the album as a whole, with subjects tackled including depression, mental health, and diversity. With their knack for imaginative songwriting, ‘All The Right Noises’ also takes aim at Donald Trump in a song written from his perspective, as well as a song Luke describes as “Like the opposite of ‘My Generation” by The Who in its message.

‘All The Right Noise’ will be available in 1CD, 2CD, 2LP, and 4LP formats, with the 2CD and 4LP releases containing bonus tracks.

The LP versions feature a stunning pop-out of the ‘Singing Ringing Tree’ which appears of the album’s glorious artwork. The photo cover art was shot by the band’s long term collaborator Jason Joyce. The sculpture, which also appears in the video for ‘Last One Out Turn Off The Lights’, is set in Burnley, Lancashire, and resembles a tree which harnesses the energy of the wind to create a choral, discordant sound.

‘All The Right Noises’ follows on from 2019’s stripped back and reimagined album, ‘Please Remain Seated’ which continued their consecutive Top 10 UK Album Chart run since their ecstatically received comeback six years ago.

It is another chapter in the band’s incredibly successful history that has seen them create a succession of some of the most highly-regarded rock albums of the past 30 years. The key to their renown: brilliantly conceived top-drawer material including all-time classics like ‘Dirty Love’, and ‘Low Life In High Places’, described by the late great Radio One Rock Show presenter Tommy Vance as “the greatest ever single released by a rock band”.

With their most recent success, Thunder have proven themselves as vital now as when they emerged with their debut album in 1990 ‘Backstreet Symphony’, and their hit follow-up in 1992 ‘Laughing On Judgement Day’, which was only kept off the top spot by Kylie Minogue.

Satellite Citi Premiere Video For “Antibody”

Satellite Citi - "Antibody" Ft. Brandon Yeagley of Crobot [Official Video] ©2020 All Rights Reserved (Satellite Citi) __________ Music & Lyrics by Satellite ...

New Single From L.A. Hard Rock Band Features

Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley

With Powerful Message Supporting Band’s Armenian Heritage &

Raising Awareness Of Current Conflict

Upcoming Album Fear Tactics, Produced By Brad Wood,

To Be Released In 2021; Band’s Music Featured In Documentary

“Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos”

Up-and-coming hard rock band Satellite Citi have teamed up with Loudwire to premiere the powerful video for new single “Antibody.” The song—featuring a collaboration with Crobot’s Brandon Yeagley—is dedicated to the people of Armenia and brings awareness to the latest attacks on the Armenian people beginning in late September 2020, that have killed hundreds of innocent civilians and displacing thousands more.

Find the single at Satellite Citi’s Bandcamp page HERE.

Satellite Citi features drummer/vocalist Anna Gevorkian and guitarist Shaunt Sulahian, both Armenian-Americans born and raised in Los Angeles. Like many first-generation Armenians and children of immigrants, they have learned about the struggles their ancestors have faced and first launched their career in 2015 with the poignant track “Rock Bottom” to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

With the latest attacks against their home country—at a vulnerable time in 2020, amidst a global pandemic—the band partnered with their long-time director and fellow Armenian-American Rosie Geozalian to create a poignant video that spreads the message that Armenians are standing stronger than ever together and won’t be silenced. The video features a range of symbolic imagery that connects with Armenian culture and history, and are further explained in Loudwire’s story.

“Our track ‘Antibody’ lyrically is about overcoming obstacles and silencing your enemies, no matter how hard they might try to bring you down,” says Anna and Shaunt. “We were honored to have Brandon Yeagley of Crobot sing on this track with us. His voice really brought the song together musically. The music video helps us connect the song back to our motherland, Armenia. With the recent war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), and continuous war crimes happening to Armenian civilians, carried out by Azerbaijan and Turkey, we felt the need to let people know we are here, standing together, stronger than ever, and nothing will change that.”

Adds director Rosie Geozalian, “We had already started working on the ‘Antibody’ video when I woke up one morning to reports of the attacks occurring in Artsakh and Armenia. As members of the Armenian diaspora, the tragedies taking place consumed our thoughts and emotions; the visuals shifted to reflect that. Creating the video for ‘Antibody’ became a way of processing the ongoing cultural trauma we face as Armenians, while paying homage to our brothers and sisters risking their lives to protect the motherland.”

Brandon Yeagley of Crobot said this about his participation in the song and video: “We are all looking for a little extra boost in immunity right about now. Now, I’m no doctor but I know when Satellite Citi hit me up to be a part of their hard-hitting, slinky song ‘Antibody’ there was no hesitation. So come along for the ride—'cause if you ain’t part of the cure, you’re part of the disease!”

As part of the campaign for “Antibody,” Satellite Citi has created a T-shirt with all proceeds being donated to the Armenia Fund. It’s available for purchase here:

As well, the band has shared the following resources for those who wish to learn more about the attacks on Armenia and would like to act and donate.

“Antibody” is the latest sneak preview from Satellite Citi’s upcoming 2021 album Fear Tactics, which is produced by the lauded Brad Wood (Smashing Pumpkins, Placebo, Liz Phair, Touche Amore) and features a wide range of inspiration from Black Sabbath to Muse to Halestorm. Previous singles have included “Black Magic,” “Miscommunication” and “Getaway.”

As a follow-up to their acclaimed 2018 debut EP Negative Space, the new album will thematically center around the importance of mental health and represents the band’s own struggles of coping with fear and anxiety, that are even more permeated in today’s culture. “It’s important to us to help people control and ultimately confront and overcome their fears by realizing they’re not alone in this crazy world,” says Anna and Shaunt. “And so many of us are going through the same things, the same struggles and day to day anxiety. Especially during this pandemic, it’s been such a shift in reality for us and we’re realizing how important human connection is.”

A regular fixture on the stages in their hometown of Los Angeles, Satellite Citi is joined live by two anonymous Spacewalkers on bass and guitar that further taps into the band’s curiosity of other realms and advanced life forms. The band’s name, in fact, is based off of the idea of a city, outside of our galaxy, where people communicate with their minds.

In addition to music, Anna and Shaunt love video games and writing—they are currently working on their first original sci-fi graphic novel called Spacewalker with former DC editor Jim Higgins, that will coincide with a new concept EP in 2022. Satellite Citi also has five songs featured in the upcoming rock documentary Long Live Rock…Celebrate The Chaos, directed by Jonathan McHugh, that features bands such as Metallica, Korn, Slipknot, and Rob Zombie. The trailer can be viewed HERE.

Here is what media has had to say about Satellite Citi:

“Deemed as the fresh new band to resurrect the beloved rock genre, with their own modern and exciting approach, Satellite Citi are on the road to delivering audiences with music that tackles important issues that our society is facing today.” —Huffington Post

“Satellite Citi are successful in pushing forth elements of multiple genres to create a truly unique and dynamic realm of sound. Combining Gevorkian’s melodic vocals and funk rock drumming style with Sulahian’s dynamic guitars and background in heavy metal, Satellite Citi resurrect the rock genre with a fresh and modern delivery.” —New Noise

GARMARNA Streams New Album 'Förbundet' in Full

More than 25 years in the making, the band continues to invent what music rooted in the Scandinavian tradition is about. 'Förbundet' is a hard-hitting folk a...

Swedish folk rock pioneers GARMARNA are now streaming their upcoming full-length, 'Förbundet,' in its entirety ahead of tomorrow's release!

GARMARNA comments: "We are extremely happy to finally present 'Förbundet!' Excited to bring the whole experience to the world. Proud to level up our game after so many years together. It’s now in your hands so use it well and let us know what you think!"

The visionary folk sounds of Sweden’s GARMARNA marry the past to the present on their captivating new album ‘Förbundet.’ ‘Förbundet’ (Swedish for connected) is an especially apt title as their songs, inspired by traditional Swedish folk music and Scandinavian ballads, are played by acoustic instruments but accented by a flourish of modern electronics (beats, loops and samples). The album, led by Emma Härdelin's spellbinding vocals and aided by the rich production of Christopher Juul (HEILUNG), see the Grammis (Swedish Grammy) winning group operating at the heights of their powers. GARMARNAhas persevered for nigh on four decades now, and ‘Förbundet’ further secures their legacy as one of the worldwide leaders of traditional Scandinavian folk music.

'Förbundet' is due on November 6 and can be pre-ordered HERE.

It is very easy to tout a band's eclecticism in our modern era of musical mash-ups and globe-spanning Zoom collaborations. But Swedish folk-rockers Garmarna have been turning traditional ideas on their head long before it was fashionable. Over the last 30 years, they been stirring in a rich blend of influences that create their unique sonic blend. For their efforts, they have won a Swedish Grammy award, gained the respect and collaboration of esteemed musicians in their homeland, and cultivated an international following.

On their seventh and latest studio album Förbundet, Garmarna continue blurring the traditional and the modern, with the often multi-tracked vocals of Emma Hardelin floating above it all. A ballad from the 1700s, “Ramunder” is imbued with heaviness, like an acoustic metal tune, with Anders Norudde from Hedningarna playing moraharpa (a cousin of the hurdy gurdy) on the song. Thumping drums and frenetic strings drive the moody “Sven i Rosengård,” while the danceable “Lussi Lilla” is more playful. On the flip side, acoustic ballad “Ur Världen Att Gå” and the dreamy vocal track “Din Grav” balance out the more propulsive tracks.

As with past efforts, the new Förbundet serves up traditional material infused with original ideas, with Garmarna looking to medieval and murder ballads and Estonian chorales for inspiration. It is certainly a dark album.

“There is more to the Swedish culture than this darkness,” notes co-founding member Stefan Brisland-Ferner. ”But the traditional stories have an edge to them that’s something special. There’s a harshness we just can’t resist. A feeling lurking in there that is beautiful, wild, and haunting. This new one is maybe the darkest yet, in that it deals so much with death, longing, sorrow.”

For Stefan, the most personal song on the new album is the tranquil, ethereal ”Vägskäl” which has been described as being about life's crossroads, grief, and losing someone, and also memories that are slowly erased or that can last a lifetime. ”It is the one completely original song on the album and the newest one,” he says. ”Both musically and lyrically, it resonates with a certain place in life I have found myself in.”

Garmarna originally formed as a trio in 1990 featuring guitarist/violinist Gotte Ringqvist, violinist/hurdy gurdy player Stefan Brisland-Ferner, and guitarist/bassist Rickard Westman. After a couple of years of growing their music and audience, they accured drummer Jens Hoglin after being asked to perform at a prominent musical festival in Autsfred, Sweden. Their friend, singer and violinist Emma Hardelin, was in the audience, and she soon joined their ranks. The line-up has remained solid since then.

After releasing their self-titled debut EP in 1993, Garmarna toured Sweden and began developing energetic live shows that in subsequent years have inspired everything from dancing to headbanging. Amid her bandmates, Emma became the calm of the storm onstage, her beautiful vocals an anchor for their energetic music.

”Emma has a very distinct and beautiful voice,” notes Stefan. ”The choices we made early on were traditional ballads that tell a story. The vocal is delivering information and can’t stand in the way of the story, and the instrumentation and arrangements must help to tell the story. The vocal will always be in the center of our music.”

By 1994, Garmarna signed a North American distribution deal with Minneapolis-based Omnium, the label founded by Boiled In Lead bassist Drew Miller who has a passion for eclectic world music and punk-folk tunes. Omnium released Vittrad (1994) and Gods Musicians (1995), and their sister label Northside unleashed Vengeance (1999) and Hildegard Von Bingen (2001). Now 25 years later, Garmarna is on Season of Mist, the international metal label that is starting to explore the dark folk world.

“We have certainly crossed a few boundaries,” acknowledges Stefan. ”We did so quite early and found our own world from which to expand further. Maybe this was luck. Or maybe we are good at finding the right balance between the elements. Again, this their something we ever strived for.” He adds that at one point, they found a certain tone in our music that resonated with the tones of their other tastes.

”The lyrical specter of the classical world,” he elaborates. ”The terror of industrial and black metal. Country music, indie pop, rock’n’roll. At the time, artists like Beck and Jon Spencer Blues Explosion had a great impact on our thinking. Björk, Skinny Puppy, Bowie, Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, and lots of other artists from different genres were big heroes for us as well.”

What linked the band members together was their passion for traditional Swedish fiddler’s music and folk singing. ”We don’t think of music as genres but rather like emotions, colours, elements,” explains Stefan. Despite their sonic deviations, they have always felt they have a specific sound, and an American magazine in '99 compared Garmarna's music to a nicely marinated stew, a comparison they favored.

Cooking up this musical melange was not a conscious choice in the beginning. Their collective eclecticism naturally led the way for their folk fusion. ”Using samplers particularly was something that felt just aesthetically right,” says Stefan. ”We could use layers of drones and re-pitch stuff, use both old and new sounds that fitted the songs.”

Throughout their career, the band has taken many interesting journeys, including music inspired by the medieval work of Hildegard von Bingen and a New Year's Eve '99 performance in which Emma performed songs by Benny Andersson of ABBA. They have played at medieval, folk, and rock festivals. While the group did take a 15-year break from recording – family and work commitments, a little creative burn out after years of the tour/album/tour cycle, plus the illegal downloading woes of the early '00s factoring into this studio hiatus – they maintained their chops and passion by continuing to tour.

When asked about how fans have responded to their different influences and diverse output over the years, Stefan cannot definitively say because their followers are seemingly fluid in their tastes as well.

”Sometimes we’ve thought the audience will hate the new stuff, all jungle beats or house or pop or whatever,” he says. ”The audience is a mix of metal heads, folk enthusiasts, hipsters, and just casual music lovers of all ages. Along the way, they have seemed to like what we do! We know that a lot of people wished the return album 6 would have been a bit more traditional, but then a lot of people also praised it for being 'so much Garmarna' in the sense that it took an unexpected turn somewhere new.”

Their loyal acolytes should be pleased with Förbundet, and they will likely draw in new converts as well. You're next.

ALBERT BOUCHARD, FOUNDING MEMBER OF BLUE ÖYSTER CULT, RELEASES NEW VIDEO FOR “BLUE OYSTER CULT”

Albert Bouchard - Blue Oyster Cult | RockHeart Records/Deko Entertainment Re Imaginos is out everywhere tomorrow! Order now: https://www.merchbucket.com/coll...

THE SECOND SINGLE FROM THE “RE IMAGINOS” ALBUM OUT EVERYWHERE NOVEMBER 6TH.

Albert Bouchard is best known as a founding member of Blue Öyster Cult. The original line-up sold millions of albums for Columbia Records, with such classic songs as “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” and the #1 hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart “Burning for You”. Contributing to songwriting, drums, and lead vocals on some of their greatest songs, such as “Cites on Flame with Rock and Roll”.

“Re Imaginos” is out on November 6th through he and his brother’s (Joe Bouchard) new imprint label, RockHeart Records / Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group). Critics are already embracing Albert’s reimagining of the 1988 Blue Öyster Cult release, “Imaginos”.

Albert Bouchard’s ‘Re Imaginos’ elevates the piece to a higher level….you are sucked into the master songwriting talent that is Bouchard….This is a great album and worthy of a place in anyone’s collection, not just BÖC’s fans.
Metal Talk

Here is what Albert had to say about the second single and video “Blue Oyster Cult”, “Blue Oyster Cult was a poem that Sandy Pearlman wrote in the late 60s. When Blue Oyster Cult was finalizing our recording contract with Columbia Records we took the poem as our band name. Eric Bloom put Sandy’s poem to music on our third album, Secret Treaties. This version is different from that but very similar to the version I created for the original Imaginos album in 1988. It tells the story of a sailor who has been put ashore and is discovered by the Blue Oyster Cult, non-human beings who nurse Imaginos back to health and give him a mission to find the mysterious black mirror, hidden deep in the jungles of the Yucatan peninsula.”

Also to celebrate the launch of RockHeart Records and the release of “Re Imaginos”, the Bouchard brothers are offering a limited amount of the official RockHeart Records Cowbell autographed personally by both Joe and Albert.

Albert’s infamous cowbell part in “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” was the basis of the classic Will Ferrell skit on SNL, which also starred Christopher Walken. With “The Reaper,” an all-time classic on YouTube and every other digital platform, with zillions of views, the Bouchard brothers are forever cemented in pop culture.

Steve Hackett announces new acoustic album ‘Under A Mediterranean Sky’ for release 22nd January 2021

Image 11-4-20 at 6.15 PM.JPG

Iconic guitarist Steve Hackett, releases his new acoustic album Under A Mediterranean Sky on 22ndJanuary 2021 as a Limited CD Digipak, Gatefold 2LP + CD + LP-booklet and Digital Album via InsideOut Music. Under A Mediterranean Sky is Steve Hackett’s first acoustic solo album since Tribute in 2008 and takes inspiration from Steve’s extensive travels around the Mediterranean with his wife Jo.

Working closely with long-time musical partner Roger King, Hackett has used his time during 2020’s lockdown to take us on an extraordinary musical journey around the Mediterranean, painting vivid images of stunning landscapes and celebrating the diverse cultures of the region. Famed for his rock roots with Genesis, and through his extensive solo catalogue, Hackett demonstrates the exquisite beauty of the nylon guitar at times venturing into the exotic ethnic and often supported by dazzling orchestral arrangements.

“A lot of acoustic ideas had been forming over the years, and it felt like the perfect time to create this album,”notes Hackett, “a time to contemplate the places we’ve visited around the Mediterranean with the kind of music which evolved from the world of imagination.

“Because we can’t really travel, substantially at the moment, I hope that the album will take people on that journey. Whether you sit down and listen to it or drift off to it with a glass of wine…”
Our journey around the Med begins on the island of Malta, in Mdina – The Walled City. It’s imposing strength is portrayed by Roger King’s dramatic orchestration while Hackett’s guitar weaves through the atmospheric streets describing the creativity, love and strength that held Malta together between all the waves of conflict.

With Hackett’s delicate guitar work, Adriatic Blue paints an enchanting view of stunning scenery as tall cliffs of forested mountains plunge into the deep blue sea along the Croatian coastline. Sirocco is altogether more atmospheric, inspired by the winds playing through the imposing structures of Egypt.
The lively Joie de Vivre expresses the unique sense of joy the French have through their wine, food and folk music, with paintings reflecting family gatherings, spectacular vistas and the vibrant colours of their cities. The art of dreaming is embodied in their sensual love of life.

“At first hand, I’ve marvelled at the mystical whirling Dervishes,” says Hackett. Along with otherworldly beings such as the Djin (Genie) they sprang from Persia’s dreaming past. The Dervish And The Djin captures the extraordinary atmosphere of this most exotic of civilisations with the help of Hackett’s touring band regular - Rob Townsend’s soprano sax, the tar of Malik Mansurov (from Azerbaijan) and Armenian Arsen Petrosyan’s duduk. “Of course, those countries are virtually at war with each other,” Hackett adds, “and there has been something like a thousand casualties (at the time of writing) on both sides. Again, it’s a case of music being able to do things that politicians fail to do - something constructive.”

The Memory of Myth embodies the deep and rich history of Greece and features the violin of Christine Townsend (no relation) while Lorato - ‘love’ in the language of the African Tswana tribe – is a pretty folk tune. Love is the force that heals and links all disparate peoples of the Mediterranean.

Hackett and his wife Jo were enchanted by the little Faun statue in the House of the Faun, Pompeii. “The villas there seemed to come back to life as we walked through those wonderful atriums and gardens,” inspiring Casa del Fauno and featuring the light and airy flute of Hackett’s brother John and Rob Townsend on flute.

The only non-original piece is Domenico Scarlatti’s Sonata. This embodies the Baroque music of Italy, a sensitive interpretation embellished with cross-string trills, a technique introduced to Hackett by the fine classical guitarist, the late Theo Cheng.

Hackett also expresses his admiration for the flamenco guitarists of Andalucía who are celebrated on Andalusian Heart. “One of the flamenco guitarists was showing me the extraordinary things they are able to do,” Hackett explains. “Seeing the gypsies playing and dancing in caves there, you get the feeling that these people are dancing for their lives.”

Our journey comes to an end with The Call Of The Sea, a gentle and peaceful reflection of the vast body of water that unites the many civilisations both ancient and modern.

Under A Mediterranean Sky features Steve Hackett playing nylon, steel string and twelve string guitars, charango and Iraqi oud. Keyboards, programming and orchestral arrangements are by Roger King. Featured musicians are John Hackett and Rob Townsend, flute (Casa del Fauno); Malik Mansurov, tar and Arsen Petrosyan, duduk & Rob Townsend, Sax (The Dervish And The Djin); Christine Townsend, violin (The Memory of Myth and The Call Of The Sea). All tracks were produced by Steve Hackett and Roger King with all tracks recorded and mixed by Roger King at Siren.

“I had a great time doing this album, seeing it take shape, and I’m very pleased with the outcome. I’m very proud of it,” says Hackett. “The nylon guitar has a very individual sound but, within the compass of what the nylon-strung guitar can do, there are a lot of different tones. You can do the full-on attack, the kind of salvo that you expect from the flamenco players but, at the same time, it can also be very gentle, gentle as a harp. It’s shades of black and white. It’s also exciting to play alongside instruments from around the world, as well as a wide range of orchestral sounds.”

About Steve Hackett

Steve Hackett joined Genesis at the beginning of 1971 and gained an international reputation as the guitarist in the band’s classic line-up alongside Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins. Steve’s intricate guitar work was a key element of Genesis’ albums from Nursery Cryme (1971) to Wind And Wuthering(1977) including the classic Selling England By The Pound.

After leaving Genesis at the end of 1977, Steve’s solo career, which now spans more than 30 albums, has demonstrated his extraordinary versatility with both electric and acoustic guitar. Steve is renowned as both an immensely talented and innovative rock musician and a virtuoso classical guitarist and composer and this was recognised in 2010 when he was inducted into the Rock Hall Of Fame. He has also worked alongside Steve Howe of YES in the supergroup GTR.

Steve’s compositions take influences from many genres, including jazz, classical and blues. For his later studio works The Night Siren (2017) and At The Edge Of Light (2019) Steve has explored the influences of world music. Recent tours have seen Steve celebrate his time with Genesis including a spectacular 2018 tour in which Steve realised a long-held ambition to perform the works of Genesis live with his band and an orchestra. He recently released Selling England by the Pound & Spectral Mornings: Live at Hammersmith, a live recording of his hugely successful 2019 tour that saw him celebrating that Genesis classic, as well as the 40thanniversary of one of his most-loved solo albums.

Ukraine's busiest groove metal machine JINJER are back with their brand new single "Retrospection (Live)", taken from their upcoming live album: Alive In Melbourne, which will be released on November 20, 2020 via Napalm Records. The live album and subsequent videos were filmed on March 5th this year during their debut Australian tour with the pandemic hot on the heels of their Macro World Tour, which would sadly, along with the rest of the musical landscape come to a screeching halt a week after the Melbourne set was captured for on film. Still, with JINJER's sheer will, drive, determination and never give up attitude they were able to turn the madness of this year into a positive.

Bassist Euge Abdukhanov comments: It‘s still pretty incredible that 4 Ukrainians travelled 14,770 km just to sing in their native language ... to the welcoming ears, eyes and open arms of Melbourne. This night will forever be burned in our hearts and the beat of "Retrospection" fit that night like never before. Shows like this should happen each time we perform and we cannot wait to get back on tour to make sure that happens every night. Until then just enjoy this moment in time called Alive In Melbourne"

Despite the Global Pandemic, JINJER have managed to stay busier than before and besides releasing their debut live album, they toured Germany and Switzerland in September becoming the first non-European band to tour across borders during the age of Covid-19 and they are also currently filming videos for all remaining tracks on their previously released album Macro.

Things are looking great for JINJER right now.

DUE DECEMBER 4, 2020

NEW SINGLE + VIDEO, 'RESTLESS NIGHTS' OUT TODAY

Long Island’s Magic Dance will return with their new album, “Remnants” on December 4, 2020. This album offers up more of the band’s signature ‘80s influenced sound that they are now known for, but at the same time brings a distinct contemporary edge. Performed with absolute genuine emotion and conviction, it’s hard not to be swept up and carried away in these mesmerizing songs. The power of the melodies and the entrancing sound really stick with the listener throughout the entire album. Fans can get their first taste of the album with the new single and video 'Restless Nights'.

Pre-orders/save "Remnants" HERE: https://orcd.co/magicdanceremnants

"This song is about wasted youth; one borne of restlessness rather than recklessness. It's about a time in my life when I wanted more, but was holding myself back. In the end, you realize that you can't change the past, but you can learn from your regrets and use them as fuel for a better future," says Magic Dance mastermind Jon Siejka of the new single 'Restless Nights'.

""Remnants" is an album that moves from dark to light. It's about accepting your own mortality and the inevitability of death. But, this realization can give you the drive to live life true to yourself, if you only let it. Sonically, it's a mix of all I've done to date with Magic Dance plus more. I hope it will melt your faces and hearts!" he continues of the album.

Magic Dance is the solo project of singer/songwriter Jon Siejka, formed in Long Island, NY in 2012 as an outlet for his synthwave songs. A self-taught musician and producer, the project is heavily influenced by the iconic synth-pop and movie soundtrack music of the ‘80s, as is par for the course with synthwave. Recently, the sound has evolved into a heavier and more guitar-oriented style, leaning more towards classic AOR, with strong hints of the sounds of the mid ‘80s.

Magic Dance’s debut for the Frontiers label, “New Eyes”, was the third proper album from Siejka, which offered ten superb songs infused with sparkling keys, energetic riffs, and catchy and very memorable hooks. If not for the modern production, one might have thought they were listening to something straight out of the ‘80s!

WARNING: This record is extremely addictive and you will be compulsively singing along in no time!

Listen to the call of the Iron Peak. It is calling for you to find your true self in a world you want to be isolated from. It is calling for you to make peace with yourself, with the inevitable end. It is calling for Hungarian singer-songwriter Dávid Makó, who redefined himself as The Devil’s Trade a few years ago, embarking on a long journey with his deeply personal and dark, sometimes doom infused folk songs.

Be it the folk of the Appalachians or the tales of Hungarian and Transylvanian traditionals, The Devil’s Trade fuses his past of metal and his roots laying deep in the folk songs of his immediate surroundings.

From basements in his hometown of Budapest, to all corners of Europe, stages small and big, The Devil’s Trade has been relentlessly walking on his path finding his voice and calling, and that is to let listeners to glimpse into himself through his heart wrenching songs.

New Fossil Species Discovery Named after ROTTING CHRIST

Image 11-4-20 at 5.01 PM.JPG

Metal veteran brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis of the Greek metal legends ROTTING CHRIST have been bestowed the immortal honor of having a newly discovered fossil species named after them! Two researchers from the Natural History Museum in Luxembourg, Dr. Ben Thuy and and Dr. Lea Numberger, recently found a new brittle-star species and decided to name it "Brezinacantha Tolis" in honor of the Tolis brothers.

Sakis Tolis comments, “My deepest thanks to the paleontological community, and especially to Dr. Ben Thuy and Dr. Lea Numberger, to name a fossil under my name! This is one of the greatest honors I have received as an individual and musician and gives me power to keep on creating during these wild times. Brezinacantha Tolis can be found in the Natural History Museum in Maastricht. If you are close have a look!”

Dr. Ben Thuy and Dr. Lea Numberger explain the inspiration behind the fossil name: "When we first saw the fossil brittle star, we immediately knew it was something exciting. It turned out to be a species new to science, and so we had the privilege to name it. With the choice of the name, we wanted to combine our joint passions for science and music, and decided to honour one of our favourite bands. The new fossil belongs to an animal that lived in a dark, toxic environment in the depths of an ancient ocean, dwelling on the remains of their dead predecessors. This is pure black metal! Naming this species after Sakis and Themis Tolis is our way to issue an academic recognition of their talent and hard work. Now they own a small piece of immortality, because scientific species names are for eternity."

More info on the discovery and its etymology can be found HERE.

Moreover, this is not the only exciting news the band has for this years! ROTTING CHRIST has recently annonced their collaboration with the creators of the PS4 game "Mortal Shell," which featured the band's epic track "Χ Ξ Σ (666)" in the official trailer! The game is set for worldwide release on August 18. The trailer can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

For more info on the game, visit the official website HERE!

It's not ROTTING CHRIST's first encounter with the gaming industry. Last month, the band was discovered on a poster in the game 'The Last of Us Part 2' along with label mates HORRENDOUS!

ROTTING CHRIST's critically-acclaimed record, 'The Heretics,' was released in early 2019 and can be ordered, downloaded, and streamed HERE.

Here is what the press has to say to about 'The Hererics':

“The band's present incarnation is as a melodic tour-de-force, proficient in writing devastating earworms with gradated arrangements without a trace of insidiousness. Their sound is richly sumptuous, smoothly opulent and, most importantly, unmistakably Rotting Christ.” – Metal Injection

“On lucky-number-13, 'The Heretics,' Rotting Christ have delivered an true ace—the culmination of the Greeks’ successes, in fact. The record is dark, heavy, mystical, memorable and fucking awesome all the way through.” – Decibel Magazine

“’The Heretics’ is the proverbial middle finger to all their doubters and is in contention for best metal album of the year for this writer.” – Metal Underground

“’The Heretics’ is probably the most hook-laden Rotting Christ album since ‘Aealo.’ Tracks such as ‘The Time Has Come’ and ‘Vetry Zlye’ put this album over the top of their Mount Zeus altitude of releases.” – Metal Underground

“For these 10 songs, Rotting Christ not only troll the world of religion at large, but also impugn its implications—war and woe in the name of any god, “neo-messiahs” who invoke religion to commandeer power, the persecution that follows.” – Bandcamp Daily

“To say that they’ve found a sound would be putting it politely; Rotting Christ not only found a sound, but they also basically defined it and then later let it define them.” – No Clean Singing

“The band have mastered the art of “guitar riff as weapon” by this point, and, as mentioned before, have absolutely zero issue heading back to that well across The Heretics‘ ten songs.” – No Clean Singing

“Holy Satan’s Hellfire can we discuss this new album ‘The Heretics’ (out now, Season of Mist)? You wanna talk about a grand slam fucking home run, well here it is!! Not since ‘The Satanist’ from BEHEMOTH has something grabbed me simultaneously by the throat and by the balls the way this album has.” – Amps & Green Screens

ROTTING CHRIST have reached another peak in their long career that now spans over more than three decades. The Greeks have literally stood the test of time. With a steady core line-up and their well-honed live delivery, ROTTING CHRIST are filling concert halls and reap enthusiastic crowd reactions wherever they go. This demonstration of love from their followers is not just driven by nostalgia as the band has managed to evolve and grow, while staying relevant beyond the classics with their highly acclaimed latest albums such as 'Aealo' (2010), 'Κατά τον δαίμονα εαυτού’ (2013), and 'Rituals' (2016).

Now, with the new offering 'The Heretics', ROTTING CHRIST are opening a brand new chapter. With confidence and skills derived from experience, each song represents its own sonic universe. Guitarist and vocalist Sakis Tolis in collaboration with his brother Themis on drums achieve a perfect balance of amalgamating their classic and unique style of riffing and rhythm with exciting new elements sprinkled in to keep their material exciting and fresh. The experienced is enhanced by Jens Bogren's equally clear and transparent yet also massive as well as sombre mix and mastering at his widely renowned Fascination Street Studios (AMORPHIS, BORKNAGAR, MOONSPELL, DEVIN TOWNSEND, and many more).

ROTTING CHRIST were founded by Sakis Tolis and his brother Themis in the year 1987. Starting out on a basis of death and grind, the Greeks had already embarked on a darker musical journey by the time their debut full-length ‘Thy Mighty Contract’ (1993) was revealed. On the following seven albums covering a ten-year period from 'Non Serviam' (1994) to 'Sanctus Diavolos' (2004), ROTTING CHRISTsteadily defined their own distinct style by experimenting with elements from death, heavy, and gothic metal without betraying their black roots. At the same time, the band went from underground heroes to headliner status. With the highly acclaimed ninth album, 'Theogonia' (2007), the Greek stalwarts added an unmistakable native element to their sound, which has remained with them as a signature trademark ever since. Exploring the mythical legacy of cultures around the globe led to ROTTING CHRIST's massively successful latest release, 'Rituals' (2016). With more than 30 years, 13 studio albums, a dozen EPs, singles and split releases, as well as more than 1.250 shows under their belt, 2018 marked the year of 'Their Greatest Spells' (2018), where they musically revisited their exciting legacy to connect their past with the present.

'The Heretics' marks another step in the evolution of the Greek masters. Buckle up for a fascinating musical ride through the woes of religious wars, Zoroastrianism and the eternal war between good and evil. Metal at its best!

SÓLSTAFIR Announces Virtual Listening Party + Live Chat for New Album

Iceland rock giants SÓLSTAFIR will be hosting a live virtual listening party for their upcoming seventh studio album, 'Endless Twilight of Codependent Love.' The stream will take place tomorrow, November 3 @ 10:00 A.M. EST via the official Season of Mist YouTube in which fans can live chat with bassist Svavar Austmann and hear the record in full ahead of Friday's release. Tune in at THIS LOCATION.

'Endless Twilight of Codependent Love' is due on November 6 via Season of Mist! Pre-order it HERE.

'Endless Twilight of Codependent Love' was recorded at the Sundlaugin Studio (Iceland), where 'Svartir Sandar,' 'Ótta' and 'Berdreyminn' were also recorded by producer Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Rós, Alcest, Damien Rice).

The cover artwork and track-list can be found below, together with the album info. The painting is a watercolour of the Lady of the Mountain, which was designed in 1864 by artist Johann Baptist Zwecker.

A quarter of a century after singer/guitarist Aðalbjörn "Addi" Tryggvason co-founded atmospheric Icelandic metal quartet Sólstafir, they continue to follow their cardinal rule – that there are no rules. For them, writing an epic 10-minute song without a traditional verse/chorus trade-off feels natural. While they have done two albums in English, he mainly sings in their native tongue and his vocals are as much an instrument as a vessel for words. Their videos equally showcase the band and their Icelandic world that they commune with.

And their music flows however it pleases. “Having been a metal band for a long time and gone through shoegaze, atmospheric black metal, and post rock, I just feel privileged being able to mix all my favorite genres and get away with it,” says Tryggvason.

In the world of Sólstafir, artists as varied as The Beatles, Kraftwerk, Darkthrone, Ennio Morricone, and Billy Corgan swirl inside their heads, and such influences seep into their musical ether.

Painted in watercolor by Johann Baptist Zwecker in 1864, The Lady of the Mountain is the female personification of Iceland. It was first published in a book of Icelandic folk tales but was never shown in public. A black and white woodblock replica by the artist is what Icelanders have known until recently when two citizens found the original hidden in a Welsh museum gallery where it had been in storage for a century. Now it is back home and adorning the cover of the new Sólstafir album.

“Everybody knows the image of the Lady of the Mountain,” declares Tryggvason. “It's like Marianne to the French and Minerva in Roman mythology. All of a sudden, the original pops up and it’s like, ‘Oh my god, these are the most beautiful colors I've ever seen. And why does it remind me of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness?’ So that's purely accidental. When we saw this photo, we had to use it. It's too beautiful.”

While early Sólstafir lyrics delved into Nordic mythology and critiques of organized religion, more recent songs explore their spiritual connection with nature, and lately, mental disorders ranging from depression to alcoholism and the taboo behind men in particular discussing those things for fear of being perceived weak.

“That’s the real darkness that you can't see, but you can feel it and people around you can feel it,” explains Tryggvason. “Of course, there are serial killers and plagues and whatever through history. But in modern day life, that's the true darkness around you. People kill themselves every day, and often people close to you who have been feeling so bad.”

He says the most personal song on Endless Twilight of Codependent Love is “Her Fall From Grace,” the lone track in English. It chronicles the pain of watching a loved one succumb to mental illness.

“It's very sad when you love someone and you see them get sick,” muses Tryggvason. “Like Layne Staley said, ‘Slow suicide is no way to go.’ But you’re just watching on the audience bench, preparing for the phone call. ‘Hey man, Johnny's dead.’ ‘All right, I knew Johnny was gonna die. I've been watching him in slow motion.’” He likens the experience to seeing a relative or parent be consumed by Alzheimer’s and turn into a different person than one remembers.

Although the band’s lyrics are predominately in Icelandic, that does not prevent outside listeners from appreciating the emotional power of their music. It has been said that many fans can feel his pain even if they do not overtly understand what he is singing about.

A beautiful moment in that regard occurred when Sólstafir played Bogota, Colombia in September 2017. It was the smallest show on their South American tour, and they presumed it would not be as lively. The 300 strong throng proved them wrong. “It felt like I was in Queen at Wembley Stadium,” Tryggvason recollects fondly. “They sang every goddamn word in Icelandic. How can you explain that?”

Such passionate reactions have not gone unnoticed in their homeland. Iceland picked Sólstafir to play a total of six events New York City, Seattle, and Toronto last fall called “Taste Of Iceland.” Tryggvason says the band enjoyed the event and their intimate industry showcases at Pianos (NYC) and Livenation (Toronto) during that same trip.

Counter-intuitive thinking has helped Sólstafir evolve and mature. The new track “Or” opens with a languid, bluesy feeling but gradually transforms into an angst-ridden, guitar-driven dirge. When they conjured their breakthrough song “Fjara” in 2011, the group feared its mellow nature might put off their longtime metal followers. Instead, they embraced it. That tune, along with the ambient, banjo-laden track “Ótta,” allowed the group to play both the Brutal Assault festival in the Czech Republic five years ago and then a family-friendly music event in the Netherlands the next weekend. The new rager “Dionysus” even features a return to their black metal roots that was not planned; the song just turned out that way over a year-long span.

“Our audience grew bigger and more diverse by us just being ourselves and doing nothing different really,” notes Tryggvason.

One of the joys for him and his bandmates – bassist Svavar "Svabbi" Austmann, guitarist Sæþór Maríus "Pjúddi" Sæþórsson, and newer drummer Hallgrímur Jón "Grimsi" Hallgrímsson, who contributed some lyrics this time out – is that their perception of how their new music will turn out never corresponds with reality. It is that unknown factor that keeps things exciting.

You can never foresee band magic,” declares Tryggvason. “The whole purpose of this is cooking up magic. And if you're cooking up magic with four or five weirdos, you can never foresee what's going to happen. You can't buy that. You have to live it or grow it.”

POWERWOLF Issues Songwriting Update

Get / listen to "Blessed & Possessed" here: https://smarturl.it/BlessedAndPossessed

Months before the entire world had been shaken to the core by the still raging Covid-19 pandemic, Heavy metal's finest, POWERWOLF, had gone back to the drawing board to work on ideas for the successor of their globally acclaimed album, The Sacrament Of Sin (2018).

Today, the band issued an update about the ongoing songwriting sessions.

"It‘s been an intense and wild ride in these troubled times, but no moonless night can hold back the wolves from hunting & howling: As of now, we have finished the songwriting and pre-production for the upcoming album and we‘re quite sure of having crafted a wild and adventurous piece of wolfish metal music, with plenty of tunes eagerly howling to be celebrated together with you all! Attila and Matthew have just recorded the last bits of the demos and we can hardly hold back our enthusiasm about the new stuff. We will enter the studio starting in December, once again teaming up with both Joost van den Broek and Jens Bogren to carve this wolfish manifest in stone. Expect the album to be released in summer 2021."

More details to be revealed soon.

Just recently, POWERWOLF released an extensive best of album, Best of the Blessed, which entered the German Charts on position #2.

Watch POWERWOLF videos below:

"Blessed And Possessed"

"Resurrected By Erection"

"Sacramental Sister"

"Sanctified With Dynamite"

"Werewolves Of Armenia"

"Kiss Of The Cobra King"

The story of POWERWOLF, beginning in 2004, reads like a true fairytale, but is the result of one of the most hard-working and entertaining live bands on the heavy metal planet. POWERWOLF has not only received plenty of Gold and Platinum awards to date, numerous releases have entered the official album charts at the pole position #1. With Blessed & Possessed (2015), POWERWOLF achieved Gold status for the first time, while the predecessor, Preachers Of The Night (2013) – as well as the incredible DVD, The Metal Mass (2016) – hit the official German album charts at #1. POWERWOLF's holy mass in the name of heavy metal is unstoppable, their latest magnum opus, The Sacrament of Sin (2018), again entered the album charts at #1. The accompanying Wolfsnächte tour, in which POWERWOLF headlined large venues with their phenomenal stage performances, became a single major triumph - as well as the numerous summer festival shows in which the crowds were thrilled and completely captivated by the ‘wolf and their unique, (un)holy metal mass!

EDENBRIDGE to Release Best of Album in January!

Image 11-3-20 at 10.03 AM.JPG

"The Chronicles Of Eden Part 2" on January 15th, 2021

After the first retrospective The Chronicles Of Eden (2007), Edenbridge, one of the most unique bands in their genre, delivered their second "Best Of" album, right on time to their 20th Anniversary.

The Chronicles Of Eden Part 2 is the quintessence of the studio albums 5-10 and again it was up to the fans to vote for their favorite tracks of each album. Creative mastermind/multi-instrumentalist Lanvall: „The voting was not a major surprise and is more or less identical to the songs, we would also have chosen. Therefore 4 tracks of each album could be covered along with some older all out of print bonus tracks.“

As a surprise, there are 2 new recorded acoustic versions of the hits Higher (over 4 million views on YouTube) and Paramount featured, among the Easter Version 2020 of the song Dynamind, re-recorded by Sabine Edelsbacher. Lanvall: „It was extremely fun to turn Higher into a nearly jazzy piano/vocal version showing a different side of us, formerly unknown. Paramount was one of the absolute fan favorites and so it was near to transform that song too and let it shine in a new light.“

The 150 minutes of the double album cover the big range of the symphonic metal sound and the compositional substance and consistency, Edenbridge has been standing for 20 years. Atmospherically dense compositions, directed mainly by Lanvall and vocalist Sabine Edelsbacher, which combine melodies and grooves, toughness and sensitivity, emotions and intellect, spirit and the subconscious mind in a unique way.

The atmospheric artwork was inspired by a vision, singer Sabine had, linking the spiritual awakening to a Aurora Borealis. Sabine: „After an own spiritual experience a couple of years ago and without an explainable reason, I felt a deep connection to the name Aurora. Subsequently I concerned myself with what the name stands for and relating it now to a heart quality, which might lead us to higher consciousness. Especially when there is a lot of negativity in the room, a possibility for transformation exists, through recognition and acceptance, respectively the self-responsibility for one's own feelings. Edenbridge always followed this path and especially now it is even more important to get into the own truthfulness.“

"The Chronicles Of Eden Part 2" will be released worldwide through Steamhammer/SPV on January 15th, 2021 as 2CD digipak version, download and stream: https://Edenbridge.lnk.to/ChroniclesOfEden2

The graphic direction of the cover artwork was again in the hands of drummer Johannes Jungreithmeier, who developed into the creative visual pole of the band since his entrance into the band in 2016. All tracks were produced by Lanvall and mixed by Threshold mastermind Karl Groom, with whom the band has been collaborating for 15 years now.

The track comes out swinging with one of the band’s catchiest intros to date before devolving into crushing chaos with a subsequent breakdown hook that will be sure to be a pit opener at the first opportunity. Featuring Davey Chaos (MH Chaos) on the vocal guest spot, “Guilty By Association” is further proof that the band’s label debut is shaping up to be one of hardcore’s most vital and anticipated releases of the fall. Due out November 20th through Flatspot Records, Most Dangerous Game is available to pre-order here. Stream “Guilty By Association” on Bandcamp or Spotify now.

Formed in 2015 in Chicago, KHARMA deals in gritty, metallic hardcore with walls of sound to pummel the listener into submission. Directly influenced by their city, from the forebears of their scene to the daily circumstances that inform their lyrics and unrelenting aggression, the quintet calls to mind the blunt brutality of acts like Neglect, Billy Club Sandwich, Bulldoze, and Arkangel. While hardcore has always been a genre of the people, KHARMA truly embodies that sentiment through tales of life on the streets and the reality of surviving in the middle of America. The band gave their first glimpse into this world on 2016’s self-released EP, Survival, followed up by 2018’s Moment of Violence EP, during which time the band has shared the stage with the likes of Madball, Knocked Loose, Mindforce, Adrenaline, and Life of Agony.

In the Fall of 2020, KHARMA returns with their most mature and downright hostile release to date - Most Dangerous Game, due out on Flatspot Records. Throughout the 5 tracks, KHARMA flexes their shattering sonic assault on topics such as classism, police brutality, and racism, systems of oppression the band has been challenging since their inception. Inspired by Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game”, the band applies the analogy to varying degrees within the dismal stories told on their label debut. The mix of KHARMA’s pulverizing riffs with harsh, spiteful vocals amounts to a concoction of mosh-ready and genuine anthems for the dark modern age. Recorded and mixed with Andy Nelson (Weekend Nachos) at Bricktop Recordings in Chicago, the no-frills and fervid performances on Most Dangerous Game proves why KHARMA has become an up and coming favorite to watch on hardcore bills throughout the country and solidifies their further rise in Chicago’s heavy music scene.

IAN ABEL Releases Official Music Video for "All for Love"

The fifth studio release from the Ian Abel Band. Filmed at the Troubadour on May 31st, 2019, by Mitch Parks. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ...

L.A. Based Singer / Songwriter IAN ABEL has released the official music video for his new single, "All for Love." Filmed at the Troubadour on May 31st, 2019, by Mitch Parks, "All for Love" is the artist's fifth studio release.

"Written during a cross country move from Kentucky to California, this song delves into the psy-che of someone who has to leave their previous life behind for a new and unknown future.

While the lyrics deal with the unstable handling of it through careless physical relation-ships and possible alcoholism; the music captures more of that excited/nervous/scared energy. That daunting energy of someone who’s packed up everything they own in a 10 x 10 u-haul and headed to a place where they know literally no one.

The two meet on common ground at the chorus. The unifying cry of, 'It’s All For Love!' A love for/of what exactly? I mean… I know, but I’d be more interested in hearing what you think." - IAN ABEL

"Shoes" was previously featured in a special pro-wrestling All Elite Wresting DOUBLE OR NOTHINGvignette promoting the match between brothers CODY and DUSTIN RHODES.

The first song released from that recording session, titled “Shoes”, was licensed in May of 2019 to All Elite Wresting for a promotional video for the historic fight between Cody & Dustin Rhodes at the company’s inaugural pay-per-view, Double or Nothing.

Since then, Ian Abel Band added bassist Karthik Suresh, played the world famous Troubadour and released their 3rd successful single "Outlaw". Big guitars, big drums and even bigger hooks. That’s what the Ian Abel Band is all about.

SHARONE Releases Darkly Inspiring Music Video for "Fade Away"

New Album, Morbid Illusion, Out 5/28/2021

Introducing an alternative spiritual element to the Halloween season, Dark Rock artist SHARONE has released the visually compelling official music video for her empyreal new single, "Fade Away." Directed by Kyle Lamar at Digital Myle, "Fade Away" is the second track off of the enigmatic artist's upcoming LP, Morbid Illusion, due out 5/28/2021 via Devil Inside Records.

“Fade Away” is my empowerment anthem. It’s a reminder to myself and every other artist to never give up on our passion or vision. We doubt ourselves as artists all the time. I’ve been given every reason to quit music, but it flows through my veins, so you’ll never see me drown.

The music video shows a wounded warrior facing death after being tormented for a long time by an evil crow. She feels helpless and weak. Halfway through the video, a dark angel who has been watching over her, comes and leaves her a sword to reach for, along with a spell of strength. Towards the end of the video, the wounded warrior reaches for the sword, and is finally able to get back up and fight her battle." - SHARONE

Sharone erupted onto the Denver music scene as a solo artist in 2014 playing local DIY venues; since then she has gone on to play venues such as Marquis TheaterBluebird Theater, and Gothic Theater, playing festivals, and opening for bands such as One-Eyed-DollThe Birthday MassacreFuelSaving AbelDavey SuicideTantricHell’s BellesStitched Up Heart, and Puddle Of Mudd. The atmospheric and melodramatic music of Evanescence and the psychedelic blues of Black Sabbath inspired Sharone to start performing her music live with a full rock band backing her. Despite sustaining a dark and melancholy tone on recordings, the gothic artist’s live shows are nothing short of energetic, full of heavy piano riffs, pulsing rhythms, and enthralling theatrics. From emerging from a coffin to jumping off of monitors and captivating contortions, Sharone captures the interest of each audience member through her piercing stage chemistry with her live musicians, and her ever-growing theatrics. In the spring of 2017, the singer left her mark on the Denver music scene with the release of her first rock album ‘Storm’. Following the release, dove deeper into her writing, and came back stronger than ever with the reincarnation of her dark sound: ‘Enchiridion of Nightmares’ (2018).

“Like a series of dark fairy tales, Enchiridion of Nightmares the new album from dark [rocker] Sharone, captivates, seduces, and haunts. Each of its notes, let alone songs, comes with a shadow to [her] beauty, melancholy to [her] light, and intimacy to [her] grandeur with it all colluding in an adventure which just steals the imagination from everyday reality. There is a rich cinematic and theatre-esque feel to Enchiridion of Nightmares which equally adds to its captivation; indeed its songs entwine an influence of horror movies, vintage and modern, into their personal nightmares. With just as richly layered and dramatic sounds to its exploration, the album is a persistent unveiling of new twists and shadows listen by listen. On our first meeting intrigue soaked the pleasure, through a couple more captivation, each subsequent listen leading to the inescapable bewitchment these words spring from.” -The Ringmaster Review

Sharone followed up the release with three exhilarating summer and fall tours, reaching audiences across the western, central, and eastern United States, and spent the remainder of 2019 recording her third studio album 'Reflection', which was released December 7th, 2019.

"[Sharone] showed that she was adept at harnessing the chaos on her previous couple of albums and she’s really turning the gothic-art-pop-rock up on her latest long-player. It’s packed with dark fairytales and swooping riffs as well as more theatrical invention that you’d find at the Royal Shakespeare Company." - The Crack Magazine

In summary absolute female power, which reminds of Evanescence and Tarja Turunen. This talented singer makes you curious about her live performances!" - Stormbringer.at

Sharone really pushes out the emotions and passion she has for music with this album. It is full of fantastic piano chords and guitar riffs that really show off her band's talent as a whole. I am excited to see what she releases in the future and will keep an eye out for it. In the Spring of 2020, Sharone signed with Devil Inside Records, and began working on her fourth studio album. The first single “Can We Pretend” was released July 24th, and has been the young rocker’s most successful release to date.

This unique rock artist is destined for success in the metal and goth rock realm. Look out for more new music from Sharone coming very soon.

THE ONE TIME “KING OF THE SUNSET STRIP” RICHARD BLACK IS BACK WITH LATEST FROM SHARK ISLAND. DEKO ENTERTAINMENT WILL RELEASE THE DELUXE EDITION BLOODLINE 2.020 NOVEMBER 13TH.

Provided to YouTube by Deko Music Someday · Shark Island Someday ℗ 2020 Deko Music Auto-generated by YouTube.

Shark Island was once the house band at the world famous Gazzaris on the Sunset Strip. Signed to Epic Records in 1989 the band released their debut album “Law of the Order”, and also saw the tracks ‘Dangerous’ and ‘Father Time’ featured in the movie Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, as well as the song ‘My City’ from the movie Point Break.

Richard would go on to be part of the short lived supergroup Contraband which also featured Michael Schenker (Scorpions, UFO), and members of L.A. Guns, Ratt and Vixen. They released one album in 1991 before disbanding.
In 2018 the band started work on Bloodline which was recorded in Croatia and Los Angeles. It was produced by Alex Kane (Life Sex Death, Enuff Z’Nuff) and mixed by the legendary Sylvia Massy (Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins, Red Hot Chili Peppers). It was limited to self release before being picked up by Deko Entertainment.
Richard states, “Bloodline 2.020 is an updated version of Bloodline. Almost a year ago we released Bloodline to essentially our long time friends and followers. It sold out in no time and I am grateful for the support, also happy to have struck a chord with all, thank you. We found ourselves unable to keep up with the demand from all over the world, and partnered with Deko Entertainment to manage world distribution.”

Now Bloodline 2.020 will hit stores in November and features the unreleased extended version of “Rocks on the Rocks” and the newly recorded “Someday” which was just released.

Richard on ‘Someday’, “Many were surprised and taken by the dark tune ‘ON and ON’. So in an effort to complete the fatalistic muse idea, Christian Heilmann, and I wrote the companion song ’Someday’, that has been haunting me for a considerable amount of time. Although a reflection of myself, many have been brought to tears at the message it contains. It is largely for a man's point of view, but I have a feeling it can speak to women as well. As always, I pray that the work inspires.”

As part of this deluxe 2.020 version, they are making available limited edition Mega-Bundles (while supplies last), which can be ordered via: https://tinyurl.com/yy45wegx

ANTI-FLAG RELEASE DIGITAL-ONLY DELUXE ALBUM 20/20 DIVISION

RELEASE SERVES AS DELUXE VERSION OF LATEST ALBUM 20/20 VISION

BEYOND THE BARRICADES: THE STORY OF ANTI-FLAG DOCUMENTARY DIGITALLY AVAILABLE NOW + ARRIVES ON DVD ON NOVEMBER 6

ANTI-FLAG released their twelfth album 20/20 Vision in January 2020 via Spinefarm Records. The band has just issued the digital-only, deluxe version of that album, titled 20/20 Division. It features five new songs and is available here.

"To say this year hasn't gone according to plan for anyone may be one of the greatest understatements of all time," the band states. "But through it all, the sadness that overwhelms in the world during a global pandemic, the constant pain American justice systems deliver on a daily basis, and the fear that comes along with watching our planet squeezed like a lemon for profit, we must actively choose optimism over cynicism."

The band furthers, "It's hard. It takes work. But if you look for it, hope is still there. In the face of neo-fascism, relentless police murder, the still-burning forests, people are becoming activated, taking note of those who perpetuate this pain, and standing on the side of freedom. This record was a warning of the path we were on — but with an underlining hope that this all could change. In an effort to continue to be a member of the countless activists, artists, and communities calling for social, racial, gender, economic, and environmental justice, we wanted to refresh our conversation with 20/20 Division and these five new songs."

Anti-Flag finish, "With the election looming, we have to remain vigilant. Voting is only a VERY SMALL act that we can participate in to reduce harm. But when partnered with strikes, boycotts, protests, and more, this is how WE WILL win and the soundtrack to it all just got a little larger."

In other Anti-Flag news, the band's Beyond the Barricades: The Story of Anti-Flag documentary is available now via Vimeo and Amazon. The DVD version arrives November 6. Get it here.

The film tells the story of political punk band Anti-Flag by diving into the world of punk rock and activism. It sheds light on the trials and tribulations of playing politically charged music for over 25 years. It's also an inspiring look at a group of musicians dedicating their lives to fighting for human rights through their songs and outreach. With their endless drive to help others, they put empathy over apathy and fight cynicism with optimism but find that things could go tragically wrong at any moment. The film features interviews with the band and contemporaries such as Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Billy Bragg, Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Brian Baker (Bad Religion), Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners, Hot Water Music), Tom May and Greg Barnett (The Menzingers), and many more help tell the story of a band whose drive to spread their message is truly unstoppable.

"It's hard to sum up the life of a band in an hour and a half," says frontmanJustin Sane. "We started Anti-Flag out of a passion for punk rock with the belief that punk music had the power to change people's lives and have a positive impact on the world. With this documentary, we hope people will see that while life may not be as straightforward as that idealistic philosophy, it isn't so far from the truth, either. Regardless of what others take from this film, for us, the experience of looking back on the history of Anti-Flag — sometimes good, sometimes bad, and sometimes unbelievable — leaves us grateful to have had the opportunity to live a very rare and at times extraordinary life as part of this punk rock band."

ANTI-FLAG ARE:
