Cathartic black metal outfit GAEREA will release their sophomore full-length, 'Limbo,' on July 24 via Season of Mist, making it the band's debut to the label! The album artwork and tracklist can be viewed below. In conjunction with this announcement, the band have shared "Null," the first single from the album. "Null" and an accompanying music video

Something rises in the bleak and blackened skies of society as we know it. Vortex community GAEREA are about to bestow their Undying Sigil to the masses, with their brand-new full length ‘Limbo’!

GAEREA is a black metal quintet from Portugal. Emerging in the beginning of 2016, the band released their first (self-titled) EP on November 11, 2016 through Everlasting Spew Records. The EP received many praises from the worldwide press, and it was not long before the first full length "Unsettling Whispers" (2018) was presented.

With that, GAEREA had the pleasure to perform and tour festivals in Europe and China, including performances with Jupiterian in April 2019 and a headlining Chinese tour in May 2019. The band already performed at festivals like SWR Barroselas Metalfest (PT), De Mortem et Diabolum (DE), Throne Fest (BE), Frantic Fest (IT), Eresia Metal Fest (IT), Amplifest (PT) and many more. During the fall of 2019, the band did an extensive tour with label mates NUMENOREAN under the Doomstar Bookings wing throughout Europe.

The Sweet Meats Slaughterhouse was founded in 1895 by Wilhelm Schröder. Internationally known for his advances in industrialized butchery...he produced 30% of the meats consumed in the United States. In 1915 tragedy struck the small town he called home when all the livestock took some unexplained fatal disease. The ever resourceful Schröder turned to the only available meat. The townsfolk. When they discovered the terrible truth - they enacted their own form of justice. Feeding the once prolific Schröder to his own machines. The Sweet Meats Slaughterhouse remained eerily quiet and vacant..until one night...horrible noises resembling music emanated from the dank hallways.

DAAP combine elements of rock, metal, industrial, and bring a strong post-apocalyptic / horror influence to our characters and stage show. Shows include: Knotfest 2015, Wasteland Weekend 2018/2019, multiple successful independent tours including a national tour in 2019, Twitch.tvappearances, collaborations with international artists Mothmeister, and direct local support for numerous national touring acts from metal, to horror punk, to industrial.

“26 East” was the address where DeYoung grew up in Roseland, IL on the far south side of Chicago. This is the home where Styx was formed in his basement in 1962. Across the street lived the Panozzo twins, John and Chuck, who along with DeYoung would go on to form the nucleus of the band. Australian guitarist and singer/songwriter Robert Gaylard brings a unique perspective and vision when it comes to creating music. His inspiration and passion for starting The Nomadic began early on as a child after traveling to many countries like Myanmar (formerly Burma), Singapore and the Solomon Islands. His “nomadic” lifestyle continued on into his adulthood when he began to work for the United Nations in various countries such as: Kenya, Somalia, the Sudan, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Israel and Palestine. His travels eventually brought him to New York in September of 2012 and motivated him to pursue his songwriting by establishing an indie rock band.

In the year 2019, Rob took a one year leave of absence from the UN to follow his musical passion and focus specifically on songwriting and live performance. The Nomadic released its debut single “Drifting” on the 2nd of September in 2019, and is set to release a series of songs including: “Waiting,” “Manhattan View,” “Walk the Streets,” “Beyond Blue,” “Grand Mistakes”and “Under a Georgia Sky.” Influenced by artists like Oasis, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Verveand Bruce Springsteen, The Nomadic produces a sound genre like no other as alternative rock meets blues with hints of Americana and pop.

The single “Waiting,” is about the concept of waiting around for people or something in general at airports, rail stations, ports, cafes, restaurants, and bars. Human beings always seem to be biding time for someone in one way or another, or waiting for their true potential and selves to be realized. Whether that hanging around involves waiting for someone to arrive at a destination or simply to make a decision about a situation. While we spend most of our time waiting on things to happen we are also discovering who our true selves are and what our actual potential is as well as how to achieve it. "Waiting" is a tribute to the magic of New York and it's “LIC port,” “Prospect Park,” “Grand Central Clock and Information Booth” and “rail tracks with a New York view.”

MAMADRAMA is a mom-only band made up of five moms who rock by night, and roll (with 11 kids) by day. What’s more punk than a kickass mom band?! When not rocking out, they are small business owners, entrepreneurs, and a Kindergarten teacher.

"We met at Lakehouse Music Academy in Asbury Park, NJ, where our kids took music lessons. We dreamed of something more than the endless mom grind: piles of laundry and miles of errands. Those flashbacks of freedom and concerts before stretch marks inspired us motivated mamas to meet up once a week and form a mom band. We realized what the band meant for us - we didn’t want to lose sight of who we are and who we once were. Another chapter is just beginning after kids and you can have (and want) more. The energy is fierce and the jokes are feisty but the beating heart of MAMADRAMA is living out a dream that is never too late!" says the band.

They add, "We wanted to put an anthem out there for other moms feeling the same way too and that is the inspiration behind MILF (Moms In Leather Forever). Lyrics echo that sentiment and include: “tired of mediocrity” and “no more dull and dead-end life, no more tired and empty wife, no more laundry, no more chores, I can’t take it anymore…M-I-L-F…Moms In Leather Forever!”

With the start of the quarantine we have seen how much more moms have had to take on and feel that we need to unite and salute all moms now more than ever!

UK metal outfit THE FIVE HUNDRED have released a brand new single from their upcoming studio album. A song aimed at the topic of mental health, as well as its effect on a societal level, lead vocalist John Woods-Eley shared his thoughts on "Black Dogs", saying

“When you're suffering from mental health issues, you feel completely alone in your head, standing on the edge, descending into darkness. No one can jump inside of you and help you fight your demons. You’re just on your own. We live on a beautiful planet, but an ugly world. We're surrounded by breath-taking beauty, but all we want to do is set it on fire…that depresses, terrifies and angers me in equal measures. Look around us at what we have created. ““The Event Horizon“ is a song where some of the worst feelings in someone can come to life. A sense of dread, loss, isolation and the overall sensation of nothingness takes over. I thought it would be fitting to take some inspiration from a black hole in space. To spiral until the point of no return (or in a black hole's case, Singularity). There can be hints of nihilism found in the song as well. When I listen to the song I can still immerse myself in the dark world we painted with the song and it stands as a very powerful track for me."

Guitarist Mike Lamb adds:

"On the first two albums we always had more triumphant closers, but after the year that we've all had we knew this album would end on a much darker note. The song is a very doom-inspired track that constricts at the end to mirror the audio equivalent of the song constricting to a point of no return, like its namesake. As an album closer we wanted it to mark a metaphorical definitive closing of this horrible chapter of our lives so that we can move onto new things as a band and as individuals."

Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have revealed the video for "Ride," which finds the band knuckling down (and dirty) on their instruments while in the back of a conversion van and plugging into amps stashed in the trunks of their cars.

"Sometimes it's too easy to miss magic moments while you're worrying about the future," says Bryant. "To me, 'Ride' is a reminder to find the good in the present while you're in it. I don’t wanna look back and wish I would've lived life any different. I wanna milk all these moments for all they're worth. Whatever comes next can't affect right now."

The track appears on the band's latest album Truth & Lies — out now via Snakefarm Records.

The album's title track features a guest keyboard solo by none other than rock legend Dennis DeYoung and a guest saxophone spot from Mark Rivera (Billy Joel, Ringo Starr) on 'Sedona'.

Written and produced by Steve Brown, "LIONS" was mixed by Bruno Ravel (Danger Danger, The Defiants) and mixed by Maor Applebaum (Faith No More, Yes, Dokken).

You don’t need to be a die-hard '80s/’90s hard rock fan to know that the fruits of an artistic alliance between Danger Danger singer Ted Poley and guitarist/producer Steve Brown of Trixter was going to make melodic rock fans rejoice! Featuring Ted Poley (vocals), Steve Brown (guitar), Greg Smith (bass), and Chuck Burgi (drums), Tokyo Motor Fist was birthed out of Ted and Steve’s long standing friendship. They were playing the same club circuit with their respective bands, Danger Danger and Trixter, when both bands were starting their careers. Over the years, they had a great personal relationship and the idea of doing a record together has been in the cards for many years. With some help from Frontiers the concept became a reality. Rounded out by Greg Smith (Ted Nugent, Rainbow, Alice Cooper) and Chuck Burgi (Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Bon Jovi) on bass and drums, respectively, TMF’s self-titled debut was met with the high praise and enthusiasm one would expect from fans of the genre. The fact that the music delivered was even better than what it looked like on paper has had fans clamoring for a follow-up. And now, with "LIONS" on the way, those fans have much to look forward to!

Norwegian prog/avantgarde metal act GREEN CARNATION announced their return to the international metal scene for the anniversary of their cult classic ‘Light of Day, Day of Darkness’ in 2016. After a successful comeback with festival appearances and special shows both in Europe and North America, the Norwegians are ready to release their first new record in 14 years.

GREEN CARNATION from Kristiansand, Norway, was founded as early as 1990. After founding member Tchort joined legends-to-be EMPEROR and continued in SATYRICON and EINHERJER, the band was laid to rest until their debut album ‘A Journey To The End Of The Night’ came out in 2000. Following a period with line-up changes, 2001 marked the release of the bands epic ‘Light of Day, Day of Darkness’.

With their albums ‘A Blessing in Disguise’ (2003) and ‘The Quiet Offspring’ (2005), GREEN CARNATION shifted towards a more rock orientated style, before they surprised everyone with the stripped-down record ‘Acoustic Verses’ in 2006. What followed in the same year is perhaps one of the most spectacular DVD recordings metal history. The band played a show in the mountains, under a 30-meter-high dam. Only a year later, GREEN CARNATION disbanded.

After playing their first reunion show in 2016 and a few more in the following years, the musicians decided it was time to write new material. At the end of 2019, GREEN CARNATION entered the studio with producer Endre Kirkesola (ABBATH, IN VAIN and SOLEFALD), to record ‘Leaves of Yesteryear’.

The album is partially a retrospect on the band’s career, as the progressive metal act pays homage to their past and to their heroes with the re-recording of the classic song ‘My Dark Reflections of Life and Death’ and the BLACK SABBATH-cover ‘Solitude’. With new songs such as ‘Leaves of Yesteryear’, the fans will get a taste of what is to come.

FEUERSCHWANZ Release Music Video For Cover Of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire"

German medieval rock masters FEUERSCHWANZ have released the official music video for the cover of "I See Fire", the seminal song from Peter Jackson's cinematic adaption of J.R.R. Tolkien's middle-earth epic, The Hobbit. The song comes off the bonus covers album Die Sieben Todsünden which will be released as part of the deluxe version of the band's upcoming new album, Das Elfte Gebot, on June 26.

Commented the band: "When we were brainstorming which songs we'd choose for our covers album Die Sieben Todsünden, this song was so close to our hearts, the dragon fans and middle-earth nerds that we are. The original version still makes us shiver and can't really be topped, so we used powerful guitars, folky bagpipes and epic fiddles. It's a song about unity while facing destruction war and death and also marks our first song in english.

The video was shot in the mystic southwest of England at the coast of Cornwall where Hauptmann, Hodi and Mieze Musch-Musch went last fall."

Das Elfte Gebot is the successor of 2018's extremely successful album, Methämmer, (#6 in the official German album charts) and is scheduled for a June 26 release via Napalm Records.

The song was written and recorded this past month while the band is in the midst of work on their next studio album. The band was so struck by the song that they felt the need to release it immediately rather than sit on it for the next studio album. It may or may not appear on said album.

Of the song, Phil Lewis says, "This is our new single, 'Let You Down,' a deep haunting work and words from a tormented soul. It was recorded during quarantine, so Tracii laid down his guitar tracks in Denmark, I did my vocals at home in Las Vegas, and Adam Hamilton played drums and mixed it in LA. Under normal circumstances, it would have been recorded in a more traditional way, but somehow the isolation adds to the atmosphere of this very cool song. I’m sure you’re going to love it. Cheers."

Tracii Guns adds, "This song just appeared at the right time, while we were writing and recording on different continents. Also, we won’t be performing anytime soon and it seems like the type of song that our fans can hold on to for awhile."

L.A. Guns are currently writing and recording songs for a new studio album tentatively due for release via Frontiers Music Srl in late 2020/early 2021. This will be the third studio album since the much welcome reunion of the band's core foundation of vocalist Phil Lewis and guitarist Tracii Guns. It will follow the well received studio albums "The Missing Peace" and "The Devil You Know", plus the live release, "Made In Milan" and a covers EP, "Another Xmas In Hell".

The Nixons, (Zac Maloy, Jesse Davis, John Humphrey and Ricky Brooks) known for the radio hits "Sister", " Happy Song", "Wire", and "Passion" are together again!

Sonic Boom, the band’s first collection of new music in almost 20 years, will release on all platforms via InterceptMusic.com on May 22nd. The band will also be releasing their single “Ghost of an Angel.”

The Nixons were founded in Oklahoma City, OK by singer/guitarist Zac Maloy, guitarist Jesse Davis and bassist Ricky Brooks in 1990. The group released their debut EP Six in 1992 on Dragon Street Records and replaced original drummer Tye Robison with John Humphrey, before releasing Halo in 1994 on Dallas-based Rainmaker Records. FOMA, released in 1995 on MCA Records, included the radio hits "Happy Song", "Wire", and “Sister” which was a top 5 alternative hit that also crossed over into the Hot 100 pop chart. The group capitalized on their success with big tours (about 300 shows a year for nearly a decade), including dates with KISS, Soul Asylum, Radiohead, and Toadies. They went on to release two more albums with MCA that yielded several rock radio hits including “Baton Rouge”. The band recently reunited the original line up for a series of sold out shows in the Midwest, culminating with an opening slot with Smashing Pumpkins. In 2019 the band released singles, “Favorite Lies” and “Crutch” as well as a video for the latter. The band wrapped up the year with a double bill tour with Sponge.

Zac Maloy is an acclaimed, award-winning songwriter and producer whose songs have been featured on numerous top-charting albums. Once The Nixons went on hiatus, Zac began writing and producing for other artists. After writing for and producing several rock projects, Zac signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV and decided to take writing more seriously. Sony tapped Zac as a writer in large part because of his unique ability, as a former artist, to relate to artists out there living the life Zac knew well. One of his first cuts after signing to Sony was "Used To" on Daughtry's eponymous first album, which has gone five-times platinum worldwide. This opened the door for Zac to score singles in a range of genres, including Carrie Underwood's # 1 single "Temporary Home," and Skillet's #1 single "American Noise."

In 2003, after extensive auditions, John was selected to fill the drum seat for Seether. John has been touring and recording with Seether for more than sixteen years now. The band, averaging more than 120 shows a year, has amassed twenty Top Five singles, three platinum records, and numerous gold albums.
