Blake Shelton's BACK TO THE HONKY TONK TOUR Arrives to Rave Reviews

Blake Shelton wanted his new Back to the Honky Tonk Tour to have the fun, laid-back feel of his early days on the road playing clubs. With a bar that runs the entire length of the stage and thrust that features 100 barstools and a host of bartenders, the first dozen dates have had fans singing and dancing and celebrating country music. It’s safe to say Shelton has accomplished his mission!

“For two hours, Shelton made that arena feel like a wild country bar, where just about anything could happen and he was the bartender, slinging out music instead of shots,” said the Louisville Courier-Journal after his show there last Thursday (3/9). Calling him a “true entertainer” in the headline, the review went on to say, “For one night only Blake Shelton opened the largest honky tonk in the state of Kentucky.”

Saturday night’s show brought a similar review from the Indianapolis Star, which noted, “Shelton's return to Indianapolis brought heart and catchy tunes. The audience ate up everything he had and seemed to go home full. His mission to celebrate country music through ‘the biggest honky tonk in the state of Indiana’ was achieved.”

Shelton’s “Honky Tonk” is a feast of country music with openers Jackson Dean, whose debut single “Don’t Come Lookin’” recently went to No. 1, and singer-songwriter Carly Peace, who is celebrating a recent GRAMMY Award win, as well as CMA and ACM Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year. Shelton’s two-hour set runs the gamut of his career with songs, from his 2001 No. 1 debut single “Austin,” to his multi-Platinum, award-winning smash “God’s Country.”

“This throwback-themed concert tour… served as a reminder that the fun, wisecracking-but-tender coach we see on television is the same fella country music audiences still love seeing onstage,” said the Minneapolis Star Tribune of his recent show in the Minneapolis-St Paul area.

While there are only two weekends left on the tour, Shelton will always keep the Honky Tonk spirit alive. Tickets to remaining shows can be purchased at BlakeShelton.com.

ABOUT THROUGH FIRE:

Hard rock should exist outside of the system. It should break the mold. It should burn through expectations. Through Fire most certainly does. The Omaha, NE quartet—Justin McCain [lead guitar & songwriter], Grant Joshua Kendrick [lead vocals], Tyler Halverson [bass], and Zack Halverson [drums]—fuses hard-hitting riffs, lyrics that truly resonate and contagious melodies that are unforgettable. As a result, this impactful, immediate, and infectious fusion defies categorization and incites energy as boundless as the style itself. Additionally, the approach transformed the quartet into a phenomenon with chart-topping radio successes and over 275 million streams worldwide.

Now, the same fire fuels the band’s third full-length for Sumerian Records. “This album takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions". We've all been through the fiery trials of life, this album aims to empower us all to get up out of the pit of despair and be victorious over our difficult circumstances. "Recording these songs was truly therapeutic, going in the studio to unleash every raw, honest feeling imaginable while enduring the heat of life's flames and heartache was powerful. This album brought us healing and we know from experience, we can all rise above whatever life throws our way.”

MACHINE HEAD Announces Their Electric Happy Hour (Live) Spring 2023 Tour!

Announce Their Electric Happy Hour (Live) Spring 2023 Tour!

Ticket Pre-Sale Begins Weds, March 14th

Public On-Sale Friday, March 17th

Following the release of their 10th full-length album “ØF KINGDØM AND CRØWN” to staggering 10/10 reviews across the board and Top 10 chartings across the globe, MACHINE HEAD will embark on an 18-date trek across the U.S.. The Electric Happy Hour (Live) tour will kick off on May 15th in Ventura, CA, and will make its way to Des Moines, Fort Wayne, and Detroit before ending in Los Angeles on June 9th.

Says MACHINE HEAD founder Robb Flynn, “Really stoked to be heading out in America again, the last tour had so many moments that were so strong and just beyond life affirming!"

Continues Flynn, "It makes me super proud that we have stayed the path playing these intimate venues doing 2 and 1/2 to 3 hour 'Evening With-style shows' for the last 8 years.  These shows are incredibly rewarding for us as musicians and to people who come out to just go fucking nuts with us.  Eight years ago the idea was to provide OUR PEOPLE with an experience no other metal band was/is doing right now, and somehow this crazy idea stuck! Me personally... I’m getting really bored of going to see a band headline for 1 hour and 5 minutes, or trudge 50 miles down to the amphitheater to pay $40 for parking and $15 bucks for beer to see a show, so being able to offer something unique in this day and age feels really good.”

"We're especially looking forward to the EHH format with Sir Vogg joining us on this upcoming tour. In reality, I see it becoming even a bit more free-form, you might get 5 songs off of 'The Blackening,' you might get 5 songs off of 'Burn My Eyes,' you might get 5 cover songs! The setlist has changed a little from day to day, and the beer always flows, so come down a bang with us for Electric Happy Hour (Live)!"

There are no strangers at a Drew Holcomb show. For the better part of two decades, the award-winning songwriter has brought his audience together night after night, turning his shows into celebrations of community, collaboration, and contemporary American roots music. Strangers No More, the ninth album from Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, celebrates that sense of togetherness. Produced by Cason Cooley, it expands the band’s mix of timeless songwriting, modern-day Laurel Canyon folk, amplified Americana, and heartland rock & roll. “All The Money in the World,” with its deep-pocketed groove that showcases The Neighbors’ musicality, is punctuated by blasts of brass, marking the band’s first song to feature horns. “That's On You, That's On Me” makes room for barrelhouse piano, slide guitar, and the greasy grit of a juke joint rock band. “On a Roll” and “Possibility” are Springsteen-sized rock & roll melodramas that wail and exalt, their cinematic arrangements built for the large rooms that Holcomb regularly plays these days. “Fly” is a reflective, finger-plucked folksong. Finally, there's “Dance With Everybody,” a lively tribute to the live show that brims with a joyful optimism — a feeling that was often missing during the band’s earlier years, when their shows weren’t nearly as packed. Song by song, Strangers No More offers an all-encompassing view not only of the places Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have been, but where they're headed next, too. It's an invitation into the band’s world. Strangers no more, indeed.

NUCLEAR BLAST ANNOUNCE THE AGGRESSION SESSIONS FEATURING THY ART IS MURDER, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY & MALEVOLENCE

Nuclear Blast is proud to announce the release of The Aggression Sessions featuring THY ART IS MURDER, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, and MALEVOLENCE which will be available digitally on April 7th and on CD + Vinyl on July 21st, 2023 via Nuclear Blast.

Today, FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY releases the first single from the EP entitled, "Hellions". Check out the visualizer below.

FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY states, "'Hellions' was a fun look back at some of our more brutal and fast-paced roots more akin to our earlier material. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of Hellbound, the record which we all collectively feel really started things in motion for the band. It was a blast to channel the energy and excitement we had at that time back into our music in 2023. It’s only natural for bands to evolve and expand their sound over time, but we never forgot where we came from, so this one is for those who were here from day one!"

Pre-order and Pre-save The Aggression Sessions, here: https://bfan.link/the-aggression-sessions

The Aggression Sessions is the follow-up to 2016's The Depression Sessions and follows the same 6-song mini album where each band offers an original single and a cover song. For this session, THY ART IS MURDER is covering Cannibal Corpse and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY is covering At The Gates whereas MALEVOLENCE is handling a song by American singer Anastacia.

THY ART IS MURDER and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY make the following joint statement:

"Before we had even completed work on 'The Depressions Sessions' we knew a lifelong friendship had been forged between THY ART IS MURDER and FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY, and that we would have to do another variation of the project. 'The Aggression Sessions' concept was born almost immediately following the completion of the first iteration but has taken many years to finally find the time to record and release it amidst the chaotic touring and music release schedules of both bands. We wanted to take things back to some of our favorite inspirations for writing and performing heavy and aggressive music this time, encapsulating the tone of the EP title. We hope everyone enjoys!

Joining us for round 2, please welcome
MALEVOLENCE into the series. Much love to The Acacia Strain, and thank you to them for being a part of this lineage. Check out their new forthcoming record as well!

Working with friends and peers and avoiding the pitfalls of competitiveness has always been the most rewarding part of being in a band, so as always thank you for the support and opportunity to have this platform. See you all on the road soon!"

MALEVOLENCE's Wilkie Robinson adds, "New Jersey to Australia to Sheffield! it was an absolute pleasure to be involved in this big international metal link-up and a great opportunity for us to have fun creatively outside of the usual expectations. Shout out toEliran Kantor for killing the artwork and Nuclear Blast for making it all happen."

EXTENDED VERSION OF NEW ALBUM THE JAWS OF LIFE  OUT NOW VIA FEARLESS RECORDS

Platinum-selling powerhouse Pierce The Veil — guitarist/vocalist Vic Fuentes, guitarist Tony Perry, and bassist Jaime Preciado — have announced their North American tour plans.

The band will return to the road this spring and summer on a co-headline run with The Used. The "Creative Control Tour" kicks off on May 23 in Austin and runs through July 2 in Phoenix. All dates are below. Get tickets here.

"Every night of this tour is going to be a celebration. Our new album The Jaws of Life is finally out and we get to share this monumental moment with our beautiful fans. We are so honored to hit the road with The Used, a band that has inspired us since the very beginning. It's going to be unlike any other tour we’ve done and we can't wait to see you there. Thank you for all of your support. Love, PTV."

Pierce The Veil dropped their new album The Jaws of Life  their first in seven years — in February via longtime label Fearless Records. Get it here.

It's now available as an expanded edition with a bonus track — a raucous live rendition of The Jaws of Life's first single "Pass the Nirvana" that was captured during the band's explosive set at the inaugural When We Were Young Festival last October.

The band is also offering an exclusive 7" as part of their tour's VIP package. It comes in a blood orange colorway and features new cover art and features the live version of "Pass the Nirvana" on one side and the studio version on the other.

The Jaws of Life marked a welcome return for PTV, with press praise pouring in from Rolling Stone, UproxxHuffington Post, Gawker, and MTV, among others. The band also appears on the cover of the latest issue of Outburn, pictured below.

PTV's evolution from album to album is nothing less than stunning. The early buzz generated by A Flair for the Dramatic (2007) made its follow-up one of the most anticipated albums of 2010. Selfish Machines shot to No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. The Chicago Tribune saluted Collide with the Sky for its "post-hardcore punk with more than a few nods to Queen." They became a true arena act on Misadventures, selling out huge venues without losing the intimate connection with their fans.

The Jaws of Life was produced by Paul Meany (Twenty One Pilots, Yungblood, Walk the Moon), and mixed by Adam Hawkins (Machine Gun Kelly, Turnstile, Twenty One Pilots). Deadly serious subject matter abounds, but Pierce The Veil enduringly navigates it all with grace. The lyrics continue the Fuentes tradition of painstaking honesty and clever twists of phrase. Pierce The Veil perform at the biggest festivals and is counted among the biggest and brightest of a younger generation of bands. But it all starts with the songs. The Jaws of Life is filled with the kind to keep the PTV fire burning forever.

CODEFENDANTS Enlist Rap Legend The DOC For His First New Verse In 19 Years On New Track/Video; "Fast Ones"

In an act of what some might call saving the best 'til last, Fat Mike, Sam King and Ceschi Ramos aka Codefendants have dropped the series finale of their music video pentalogy today for brand new track "Fast Ones". Both the song and the video feature legendary rapper, The DOC, who lends his first new verse in 19 years to the track. Listen to "Fast Ones" HERE and watch the video below. Catch up on the previous video episodes HERE.

Speaking on working with Codefendants on the new track and video, The DOC says

"My experience was nothing short of exhilarating, as I found myself surrounded by an ensemble of gifted individuals and luminaries from the underground hip-hop and punk rock scene. I am eagerly anticipating the release of our collective creation, and I can't wait for all of you to witness the magic we have conjured up."

Adding to this, Ceschi Ramos shares

"We were raised on hip hop & punk. To us, blending those sounds is not some cute fashion statement or gimmick that we can suddenly abandon for the next trend.  I always think of that photo of Public Enemy wearing Minor Threat shirts in the 80s and realize how that image alone sums up a good chunk of my musical & cultural upbringing. Getting to record alongside the legendary DOC and watch as he crafted ferocious, wisdom-laced bars was an absolute honor. Heads in the know understand that this is a rarity, DOC doesn’t just rap on anyone’s shit, it had been many years since he unleashed the growl & we spent time together to eventually create a Codefendants call to arms theme in an organic fashion. When we were able to film the video with Indecline so much of our artist family came through - Myka 9 of The Freestyle Fellowship, 2Mex, Awol One, Factor Chandelier, Stacey Dee of Bad Cop Bad Cop, Jenn from the Bombpops, Zeta, Rick Thorne & many others…Punk Rock & Underground Hip Hop were properly represented - it was an unforgettable day."

The new video also features cameo appearances from Rick Thorne (Professional BMX Biker), Stacey Dee of Bad Cop Bad Cop, Jen Razavi of The Bombpops, Bettie Bondage (Pro Dominatrix), Zeta (also the backing band for Codefendants on their North American tour), 2MEX, MYKA9 and Awol One.

Codefendants will release their highly anticipated debut album, 'This Is Crime Wave', on March 24th via Fat Wreck Chords imprint, Bottles To The Ground. Pre-order bundles are available now HERE and fans can pre-save the album on streaming platforms HERE.

Codefendants will hit the road for their first ever US headline tour in April. The 'This Is Crime Wave Tour' will kick-off in San Francisco on April 14th and hit 10 further cities before culminating in Atlanta, GA on April 27th and will feature special guests, Zeta as support. Codefendants will also play several shows with NOFX on their Final Tour and will appear at Lost Festival in St Petersburg, FL on April 29th. The band also announced a handful of shows in the UK today. Tickets are on sale now fromcodefendantslegalfund.com Full routing below.

On the subject of the newly announced US tour dates, Sam King adds

"With everything going on in the world right now, I just hope we don’t go to jail"

ABOUT CODEFENDANTS

Sam King from Get Dead’s graffiti crew were giving tattoos and making flash art to raise money to help rapper Ceschi Ramos when he was incarcerated. Months later, they met at the Gilman Street Project in Berkeley, California. They bonded, talking about their love of hip-hop and punk rock over a bottle of Jameson. They didn’t know it yet, but they had just started Codefendants.

They began recording songs two years later in Los Angeles with Fat Mike from NOFX as producer. Soon after Fatty joined the band, they decided to make an album that sounded like nothing else - a completely genre-fluid album - a cross between hip hop, new-wave, flamenco, and the Beatles. And thus a whole new genre - Crime Wave - was born. That album entitled This Is Crime Wave will be released via Fat Wreck imprint, Bottles To The Ground.

ENTER SHIKARI Share New Single "Bloodshot" & Announce Special Matinee Show

Enter Shikari are today sharing "Bloodshot", the third single to be taken from their highly-anticipated forthcoming album A Kiss For The Whole World, which will be released on 21st April via SO Recordings / Ambush Reality. Listen to "Bloodshot" below.

"Bloodshot" follows recent singles "(pls) set me on fire" and "It Hurts", both of which were instantly embraced with open arms by fans old and new, and received their first live outings during the band’s sensational run of sold-out February residency shows in the UK. For Enter Shikari, rejuvenation, resilience and resurrection have been on the agenda as they introduce new music to the world. However, in the arrival of "Bloodshot" the band have more questions to pose themselves, and us.

Lead vocalist and producer Rou Reynolds explains:

“Every day, I seem to be asking myself “Is this article biased?”, “is this claim true?”, “Should I be more furious about this issue? Or less furious?”, “Am I being manipulated? Provoked? Radicalised by my own ‘tribe’?.

"Bloodshot" is about how hard it is to find truth, and how easy it is to stop thinking for yourself and simply repeat your ‘team’s’ mantras.

Everyone’s so fucking angry with everyone else and it’s exhausting. It seems like social media’s main purpose these days is to hypnotise us to hate."

Pre-order A Kiss For The Whole World here. Limited formats of the new album come packaged with the Live From Alexandra Palace 3 album & DVD, recorded live in December 2021 at the band’s sold out 10,000 capacity London show.

Enter Shikari have also announced an intimate all ages matinee show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA on April 30th, to accompany their sold out run of very special album release shows across UK, Europe and the US. Alongside their matinee show, the band will be hitting Los Angeles (5/03), Chicago (5/5) and New York (5/10) for their special US run.

More about Enter Shikari and new album A Kiss For The Whole World

As the calendar now signals three years since Enter Shikari last released an album - their UK #2 charting album Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible – it is useful to think back to the final question the band last posed fans: “Is this a new beginning? / Or are we close to the end?” Little could they know just how close to the end things would end up feeling as the events of the early ‘20s dimmed the light in the furnace of their live juggernaut, and connection to their fans. “At the time it felt like we ourselves, as musicians, were experiencing the death of our band,” says lead vocalist and keyboardist Rou Reynolds.

Unsurprisingly, the key in the band’s ignition came in the form of a live show as they headlined the Download Festival Pilot in front of 10,000 fans. Where not a single new word flowed from the pen of Reynolds in the two years prior, a realisation was born that would come to define the band’s seventh LP: “I just didn’t realise that the human and physical connection to other people were so central to how I write,” he says. Enter Shikari isn’t just four people – it’s hundreds of thousands.

The album's lead single "(pls) set me on fire" sparked the next stage in the band’s evolution, and the first words we hear from Enter Shikari 2.0 don’t come in the form of a question this time, but a command: “Please set me on fire”. In other words, ignite the spark inside us and set us free. This may be a new Enter Shikari but they’ve lost nothing in their flair for bold opening gambits.

Reynolds comments on the single’s conception: "Honestly, I thought I was f*****. I’ve never felt so detached from my soul, my purpose, my f****** spirit. I didn’t write music for almost two years. The longest I’d gone before that was two weeks. I was broken. It’s almost as if my brain had asked: “What is the point in music if it cannot be shared? What is the point in writing music if it’s not to be experienced with others?” and then promptly switched itself off. ‘(pls) set me on fire’ grew out of that desperation. This song is a projectile vomit of positive energy. Every emotion trapped inside me for two years, finally set free."

It was in the Spring of 2022 that the band descended to the coastal town of Chichester, and a delipidated farmhouse, to rebuild their studio setup and capture their renewed momentum on record. Using only solar power to track the album – in what Reynolds says was to “bring back some sense of naivety” – the life-giving properties and Technicolor palate of A Kiss For The Whole World were made real. Reynolds continues: “Back to basics. This band - my best friends - bundled into an old farmhouse, miles away from anywhere. Off-grid, and ready to rediscover ourselves. This album is powered by the sun, the most powerful object in our solar system. And I think you can tell. It’s a collection of songs that represent an explosive reconnection with what Enter Shikari is. The beginning of our second act”.

Hailing from Chicago’s renowned Wax Trax! Records stable of artists, MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT have been conjuring up sonic tales of sex, blasphemy and kitschy horror since 1987. The band helped develop the industrial music genre, yet have continued to expand their style, creating one of the most diverse repertoires in modern music. Electronic rock, heavily influenced by both disco and funk can best describe their sound, while spoken-word samples lifted from B-movies gives the band their signature mark. They have released 14 studio albums, a slew of remix compilations, and have contributed to a variety of soundtracks and film scores, including a cameo performance in the 1994 cult movie classic The Crow.

Artist Franke Nardiello and musician Marston Daley, two Chicago neighbors who enjoyed late night binges watching trashy exploitation films and horror flicks, wanted to make their own movie to be called “My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult”. While the project never came to fruition, they wrote some music to be the accompanying soundtrack. Both worked at the Wax Trax record store, and when label founders Jim Nash and Dannie Flesher heard the songs, they were intrigued. Using the film title as the name of the band, they released a 3-song EP in early 1988. The response was overwhelming, and it was clear fans wanted to hear more.

Taking the stage names Groovie Mann (Nardiello) and Buzz McCoy (Daley), the duo began to focus on music full time. They created an occult meets leather biker image to compliment the band’s name which included enlisting a bevy of voluptuous back-up singers / dancers known as the BOMB GANG GIRLZ. In June of ’88, they flew to label mate Luc Van Acker’s studio in Belgium to record their first album, I See Good Spirits and I See Bad Spirits. It was recorded in just ten days, and mixed in another ten days at Southern Studiosin London. The fans ate it up! They followed up with two hard-hitting dance floor 12” tracks - Kooler Than Jesus (1989) and Cuz It’s Hot (1990), which features no-wave chanteuse Lydia Lunch on vocals. The New York Times wrote, “Sex, blasphemy, big beats and go-go dancing; they’re all in a day’s work for My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult”. This attracted the attention of indie fans, as well as the ire of the PMRC and conservative religious groups in practically equal measure. By the time of their sophomore release, Confessions Of A Knife (1990), they were far and away one of the biggest selling acts on the label.

1991 saw the release of their third album, Sexplosion!, a calculated sonic and visual departure from their previous work. 1950’s pin-up models replaced the demonic imagery, while sleazy stripper horns, disco beats and house diva vocals (provided by artist Shawn Christopher) took prominence over the more abrasive musical elaments. They put together a provocative stage show, complete with spinning police lights, mirror balls and a stocked bar with bartender to serve the scantily clad musicians and dancers while they performed. Alternative Press reviewed the show as “Sin-sational!”, while Melody Maker described it as “A Cabaret from Hell”. It was a huge success, and the album sold so well (fueled by the phenomenal radio hit “Sex On Wheelz”) that the group signed a deal with Interscope Records shortly afterwards and released two more albums - 13 Above the Night (1993), and Hit & Run Holiday (1995).

Hollywood also embraced the KULT, recognizing the unique cinematic aspect in their sound. Most notably, the band scored five songs for animator Ralph Bakshi’s Cool World (1992) and wrote the lap dance song for director Paul Verhoven's saucy Showgirls (1993). Comedies BASEketball and The Flintstones Movie prominently feature songs from the Hit & Run Holidayalbum. They have been roasted by MTV’s Beavis & Butthead, and were written into the story line of the film Sexy Evil Genius which also features the song "A Daisy Chain 4 Satan”. Most recently the club hit “Kooler Than Jesus” can be heard blasting in Season 3 of the Netflix series Narcos.

The band moved to Rykodisc in 1997 and re-released their entire remastered / repackaged catalog, along with five more studio albums, including an homage to 70’s disco era called Gay Black & Married, and the sultry and decadent Filthiest Show In Town (2007). They also formed their own label, SleazeBox Records, in 2001, enabling the release of a growing number of side-projects in addition to new TKK material.

Today SLEAZEBOX.com boasts the complete THRILL KILL KULT catalog, in addition to related works such as Mann’s DARLING KANDIE, and McCoy’s self titled projects. They continue to work with Wax Trax! Records for the purpose of re-issuing special limited edition vinyl. Buzz and Groovie still record and perform live along with veteran band mates Mimi Star (bass) and Justin Thyme (drums), all the while making a reputation for themselves as one of the most notorious and controversial cult bands of their generation.

Veil Of Maya Announce New Album; Drop New Single & Video "Red Fur"

The wait is finally over! Genre-bending metal powerhouse VEIL OF MAYA have today announced their first new studio album in nearly 6 years. The new album, '[m]other', will be released on the band's long-time label, Sumerian Records on May 12th. Pre-orders, with a variety of merch and vinyl bundle options, are available now from veilofmayaband.com

Heralding today's news is the release of brand new track, "Red Fur" and its epic, futuristic music video. Find the new track on streaming platforms HERE and watch the music video below. Speaking on the announcement of the album and the release of the new track, frontman Lukas Magyar shares

"This record is a collection of personal experience, history and a touch of my own imagination. I enjoyed approaching each song in a different way this time around. It was certainly challenging at times to find the right mood but when the work was finally complete it seemed to come together very well. I’m thrilled to see how our fans respond!"

Speaking on his inspiration for writing today's new single, Veil Of Maya's incendiary guitarist and songwriter, Marc Okubo adds

“I got convinced to go to a Rufus Du Sol concert. I was immediately inspired though. The next day, I was like, ’Let’s combine some of this with our style’. That explains the electronic opening.”

"Red Fur" follows the release of stand alone singles, "Godhead" (released last month) and "Synthwave Vegan" (released in May of last year). Both tracks feature on the new album and between them have clocked up 1.5 million Spotify streams and 478,000 YouTube views.

VEIL OF MAYA have a stacked touring schedule coming up. Starting this month, they will hit the road with Avatar, firstly across Europe starting on March 10th, followed by a 24-date run across the US starting on April 28th in Omaha, NE. For full dates and tickets, head to veilofmayaband.com

ABOUT VEIL OF MAYA

By channeling energy in one direction, force grows exponentially. Veil of Maya harness the individual experiences and talents of four distinct musicians—Marc Okubo [guitar], Sam Applebaum [drums], Danny Hauser [bass], and Lukas Magyar [vocals]—into airtight groove-laden metal accented by fits of instrumental virtuosity and vocal catharsis. This approach has endeared them to a devout fan base with critical acclaim and over 100 million total streams and counting (unprecedented for an outfit this crushingly heavy). The Chicago band draw on the strength of their union on their seventh full-length offering, [m]other [Sumerian Records].

Veil of Maya have consistently pushed the boundaries of heavy music by pushing themselves collectively. 2015’s Matriarchmade major waves, crashing the Billboard US Hard Rock Albums Chart at #2 powered by “Aeris,” “LeeLoo,” and “Mikasa.” The latter has gathered over 25.4 million Spotify streams and counting. In 2017, 'False Idol' saw the band return to the Top 3 of the Hard Rock Albums Chart as “Overthrow” and “Doublespeak” each eclipsed 8 million-plus Spotify streams apiece. The record also incited the applause of LoudWire, Substream Magazine, Metal Hammer, and Invisible Oranges who raved, “False Idol is undeniably Veil of Maya: greatly contrasting the band’s past, it serves as a companion and booster for their older work.Simultaneously, they toured alongside Animals As Leaders, Upon A Burning Body, Chelsea Grin, Oceans Ate Alaska, and more. In the midst of the Pandemic, they dropped “Outsider,” “Viscera,” and “Outrun.”

The Chicago band now draw on the strength of their union on their seventh full-length offering, [m]other [Sumerian Records]. In short, this is Veil of Maya at their collective best. Speaking on his hopes for his band's upcoming opus, guitarist, Marc Okuboshares

“I hope you’re inspired to listen to this again and again. Maybe you’ll hone in on the little details as you go further, and it will musically become a cinematic experience.”

Three Sets of Rehearsals Underway for Kenny Chesney's I GO BACK 2023 Tour

KENNY CHESNEY GETS READY TO GO BACK 2023

With Kick-Off Weeks Away, Rehearsals Are in Full Swing All Over Nashville

It’s All Happening March 23 at Charlottesville, Virginia’s John Paul Jones Arena

With tech rehearsals in one place, video elements coming together in another, Kenny Chesney and his band have set up camp on the banks of the Cumberland River. After one of 2022’s biggest tours in any genre – having the fifth biggest tour after Bad Bunny, Elton John, Def Leppard / Mötley Crüe and Harry Styles – the songwriter/superstar from East Tennessee decided to take his music to the fans who exist beyond the major stadium markets.

Dubbed the I Go Back Tour, named for his No. 1 that embodied the way songs can transport you to times and places that hold the greatest memories, the man the Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” wanted to make sure every person who loved this music and found their life in his songs had the opportunity to experience the incredible live experience that made 2022 one rocking summer.

“After the time in limbo because of the unknowns,” Chesney says, “I think we’d almost forgotten how passionate and intense No Shoes Nation can be! But from the moment the play-on music started at Raymond James Stadium, it hit every single member of my road family in the heart: the power of these songs and what happens when we play these songs for people.”

Having played to 1.3 million fans on his HERE AND NOW 2022 Tour, including breaking his personal best at many of the 21 NFL stadium plays, this summer, it was one for the books. The only country artist to make Billboard’s Top 10 Touring Acts of the Past 25 Years for the last 14, Chesney decided the band was too good to not take them out to some of the markets he played when he was becoming the high energy entertainer he is today.

“My band found a whole new gear last summer,” Chesney explains. “As somebody who lives to play music, to feel that energy from No Shoes Nation and see what it does to all of us on that stage, I wanted everyone who’s loved this music to have a chance to experience what we were getting all summer, every single show. I remember that same vibe when this whole thing started taking off: people using chain-cutters to get onto the lawn in the Carolina amphitheaters ‘cause we were so sold out... switchboards crashing in Atlanta... the crazy night we had...

“All those songs that time-stamped people’s lives, I want to make sure those people and those songs don’t get lost. It’s why we named this the I Go Back 2023 Tour. To me, to be able to share this band that’s so white hot – even our rehearsals have inspired all of us almost like the shows – with the fans who were there when this was turning into something great, that makes me even more fired up to get out there.”

With close to 30 songs on the list – and a few surprises that will be coming in and out depending on this night, I Go Back 2023 is going to be a night of great fun, incredible music and plenty of new memories made. Raised in Knoxville, Chesney knows the power of bringing music to the fans – and recognizes the bond live shows create among friends of all ages.

I Go Back 2023, with special guest Kelsea Ballerini, is presented by Blue Chair Bay® Rum.

ABOUT FALLING IN REVERSE:
Platinum-selling rock band Falling In Reverse, lead by outspoken and charismatic singer Ronnie Radke, have been completely dominating the radio and streaming space in this new decade. The band, which formed back in 2008 and built itself as a mainstay of the Warped Tour scene while gracing many Alternative Press covers, has seen its latest single "Zombified" hit No. 1 Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Songs Chart. The band has also been generating nearly 50 million total streams per month. Falling In Reverse's previous chart-topping single "Popular Monster" earned platinum RIAA status. The track is truly a juggernaut and is a watershed moment for the band. "Popular Monster" has been streamed nearly half-a-billion times and has emerged as one of the biggest anthems of the past several years. It enjoyed a multi-week stint at No. 1 on the rock radio charts, landing in the top spot on the Mediabase Active Rock Chart, Billboard's Hot Hard Rock Chart, and the Nielsen Rock Chart, and marked the first No.1 single of the band's career. It followed the gold certification of the band's 2011-released debut album The Drug in Me Is Youand a sold-out anniversary tour. During the shutdown that was a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Radke quickly established himself as one of the most popular musicians streaming on the Twitch platform. In Winter 2022, the band returned to the road and embarked on the sold-out "Live From the Unknown" tour, further cementing its status as one of the top live draws in the genre. Falling In Reverse have continued to catch the eye of the press, with their career arc being spotlighted by top-tier, tastemaking publications such as Forbes, Billboard, New York Times, Pitchfork, and beyond.

Caitlyn Smith Announces “The Great Pretender Solo Tour”

Monument Records’ powerhouse vocalist Caitlyn Smith took to social media this morning to announce her 2023 The Great Pretender Solo Tour, an unplugged, unaccompanied, unique arrangement in celebration of her new album High & Low (Release Date: April 14, 2023).

Kicking off April 3 in Austin, Texas, and in partnership with DTour, the trek includes 15 independent venues across the country celebrating the stories behind the songs.

“I wanted to bring my fans into the room with me to where these songs began. Feelings. Stories. One voice and one instrument. Songs in their purest form,” says the Critics’ Choice Award winner. “Sharing these wonderfully intimate rooms with people allows me to connect and be more vulnerable than I have been able to be in years. Hopefully this experience will mean as much to my fans as I know it’s going to mean to me.”

Fender’s ‘Next Artist’ Alex Hall joins Smith as direct tour support. General on sale begins this Friday, March 10 at 10 a.m. local time. For tickets and more information visit CaitlynSmith.com.

DTOUR is a network of independent venues and promoters offering national artists locally owned, unique venue experiences across multiple markets. The partnership follows a history of supporting independent venues for Smith. In 2021 she released a video depicting the emotional and tumultuous journey of an independent venue owner facing closure. Smith, along with GRAMMY-nominated Old Dominion, partnered on the music video for her powerful song, “I Can’t,” to not only chronicle the desperate conditions many beloved live music venues faced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but to encourage viewers to support the National Independent Venue Association by visiting togetherwecan.caitlynsmith.com to donate to NIVA’s Emergency Relief Fund.

The Pollstar “Hotstar” headlined her High & Low Tour in 2022. Prior to that headlining run across the U.S. and UK, she spent the last year opening for George Strait, Reba, Little Big Town and Old Dominion where she played stadiums and arenas across the U.S. In March 2022, she made her debut appearance at C2C: Country to Country and left Lyric Magazine declaring she “was THE artist of the festival.”

Last year, Smith released High, the first half of a record that the critically acclaimed singer/songwriter self-produced. April 14 she will release the completion of that project, adding six new songs to make her full record, High & Low, due April 14. The additional tracks balance 2022’s critically-acclaimed High, celebrated by NPR as “her most fully realized project yet,” with High & Low capturing the full picture of who Smith is as an artist and as a creator – where embracing the yin and yang simply makes you more human.

About Caitlyn Smith
Monument Records powerhouse vocalist Caitlyn Smith has won a Critics’ Choice Award, been nominated for an ACM Award, and written songs for Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Meghan Trainor, John Legend and Garth Brooks. Her 2018 album Starfire and 2020’s Supernova saw her in the pages of TIME Magazine and The New York Times and named to Rolling Stone’s 10 country artists to know and Paste’s 10 country artists to watch. Last year, she released her self-produced project High, and this spring, completed the second half of that album, adding six new songs to make her full record, High & Low. In 2022 she opened for icons Reba and George Strait, while headlining her High & Low Tour.

About Alex Hall
Originally from Gainesville, Georgia, country singer and guitar player Alex Hall is the epitome of what it means to be an artist. After picking up an acoustic guitar at the age of 14, he quickly set to work learning every Elvis Presley song on the King’s ELV1S: 30 No. 1 Hits album – his raw talent earning him his first singing gig at a local restaurant when he was still in middle school. While singing weeknights at the restaurant and preforming local shows, Alex captured the attention of a Nashville booking agent, which resulted in about 125 shows a year throughout high school…a feat for any artist, let alone someone still receiving a report card…and a valuable introduction into the country music community. After moving to Nashville and signing with Monument Records, he released his debut EP, Six Strings – a guitar centered project that featured Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, John Osborne, Brad Tursi, Tenille Townes and Kassi Ashton. Alex has opened for Tanya Tucker on her While I’m Living tour, Brandy Clark on her Who You Thought I Was tour and has played dates with Little Big Town on their Nightfall tour. New music from Alex’s debut studio album will begin rolling out in April, with the full album expected in late August of this year. Speaking on today's release, RAS-1 shares

“I wanted this video to pay respect and love for my dad. I didn’t want it to be your average lyric video. My dad was a very charming, funny man and an excellent father. RIP Richard Smith.”

"Take Me Home" features on RAS-1's upcoming self-titled EP due out on Fat Wreck label imprint, Bottles To The Ground on May 19th. Produced and co-written by Fat Mike of NOFX, the track also appeared on the recent 'Bottle Music For Broken People' label compilation alongside new music from Fishbone, Codefendants, Melvinator, The Meffs, The Skints and more (listen here). ABOUT RAS-1

RAS-1 (Richard Arthur Smith) is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, and visual artist. RAS-1 was an original member of LONG BEACH DUB ALL STARS, the band co-founded in 1996 by SUBLIME’S bassist and drummer, Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, after the untimely passing of Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell.

RAS-1 became a principal member of the collective on both guitar and lead vocals, while penning many of the LBDA classics including his signature first single “Trailer RAS” and the hit “SUNNY HOURS” featuring WILL.I.AM of the multi-platinum hip-hop superstars BLACK EYED PEAS. These tracks, in addition to other fan favorites including “Rolled Up” and “Rosarito” from the LB DUB albums 'Right Back' (1998) and 'Wonders of the World' (2001), were released as one of the first artists and earliest album collections on David Geffen’s newly formed Dreamworks label.

Born and raised in North Town Long Beach to musical parents, RAS‘s mother, Dora Gail Smith sang for the all-girl Long Beach Jazz Quintet, DREAM. His father, Richard Smith was also known to play guitar while supporting his family working for the Union Pacific Railroad. RAS-1 began his musical career as a teenager in a band THE GRIFFIN with his songwriting cousin, J-Sun, who currently plays with STONEWING. JAH CHILDREN was RAS-1’s next original band, often playing on the same bill as SUBLIME at Long Beach backyard parties and punk rock clubs. A membership in local thrashers ALL DAY followed featuring PENNYWISE alumni Randy Bradbury and cohort Paul McFadden. RAS-1 additionally sang and played lead and rhythm guitar in SHORTBUS, a side project with SUBLIME’S bassist Eric Wilson, guitarist Trey Pangborn of FALLING IDOLS.

For 2 decades RAS-1 has maintained his own style while collaborating with legends along the way and is respected in the California reggae-jam scene as an architect of both the style and sound stemming from Southern California’s vibrant musical subculture.

RAS-1’s visual art is highly stylized Southern California cool. RAS-1 finds ZEN through the medium of paint and is often commissioned for custom work with various well-known brands and entities to design skateboards and other essential gear.

NOW, RAS-1 returns as a SOLO ARTIST with a full band. After RAS-1 father’s passing, and with deepening health issues of his own, RAS-1 began a profound journey of self-discovery culminating in the poignant and honest requiem “Take me Home”.

A brand new album is in the works with the finishing touches being applied to an EP of new material including “Not Sorry At All” and “California Radio,” which were recently debuted during his high profile comeback slot on the inaugural CaliVibes Festival (Feb 2022). RAS-1’s unique songwriting and gritty authenticity brings it back to that original roughneck Long Beach reggae sound with an eye and ear towards the future.

RAS-1 is back, and his soul and his sound are healthier than ever!

As a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, Dalton Dover continues to reach new career milestones with the debut of his first single via UMG Nashville/ Mercury Records, as “Giving Up On That” is the most added song at Country radio with 60 first week stations, along with fans streaming the song and garnering over 1 million streams in the first two weeks of its release.

“To have this much support on my first official single is such an incredible feeling,” shares Dover. “Thank you to my team for believing in me and this song and thank you to Country radio for your excitement and enthusiasm. This is definitely a week I’ll never forget!”

Written by Dover with Adam Craig and Josh Pierce, “Giving Up On That” showcases Dover’s sharp vocals as he pleads with a long-gone lover, recounting his previous screw-ups and outlining the steps he’s taken to prove his loyalty and his desire to try again, as Country Now lauds “Dalton Dover is off to a roaring start in 2023,” with The Boot praising, “this heartbreak track has all the makings of a country radio hit,” while MusicRow boasts, “This power ballad of regret and yearning gives him a super showcase for his dynamic, whisper-to-a-scream vocal ability. A solid winner. Make this man a star.”

This week, Dover prepares to make his international debut at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour in April. This summer, the Georgia native will perform at the 50th Anniversary of CMA Fest at Nissan Stadium’s Platform Stage and Chevy Vibes Stage. Dover honed his captivating live show last year with two performances at CMA Fest, opening for Luke Comb’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium show in Atlanta, Ga. and joining Priscilla Block’s Welcome To The Block Party Tour.

After being named a Spotify 2022 Artist to Watch, he released “Hear About A Girl,” earning praise from Billboardnoting, “Dover’s voice is both intimate and commanding on this track,” while MusicRow asserts it confirms “we’re in the presence of a master country talent when this man sings…Make him a star. Now.” He followed the song with “Damn Good Life,” with The Boot sharing, “Dover is savoring every moment in his uplifting new single,” while Country Now observes, “Between the optimistic narrative that Dover delivers through his crisp vocals and the carefree tune highlighted by the impressive guitar strum, nothing but a good time can be had when this song comes through the speakers.”

In addition to a deal with UMG Nashville, Dover has signed with Sony Music Publishing in partnership with Droptine Music Publishing along with United Talent Agency.

About Dalton Dover
Lauded by MusicRow as a “master country talent,” Dalton Dover’s current single “Giving Up On That” via UMG Nashville/Mercury Records was the most-added track at Country Radio upon its debut with 60 first week adds and garnered over 1 million streams in the first two weeks of its release. Named a Pandora 2023 Artist to Watch, an Amazon Music 2023 Breakthrough Artist to Watch: Country Class and a member of CMT’s LISTEN UP 2023 Class, he will make his international debut in March at C2C: Country to Country Festival’s CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour in April. Dover first started singing at church as a kid, winning his fifth-grade school talent show performing Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” In that moment Dover’s love of performing was born. By the age of 16 he had picked up a guitar and started teaching himself to play, yet it was his grandfather who turned him on to country music and artists such as Keith Whitley, Rhett Akins, Joe Diffie and Steve Wariner. Performances at local bars soon followed along with sharing covers of some of his favorite songs on TikTok. It was there he caught the ear of producer Matt McV and A&R veteran and founder of Droptine, Jim Catino, who quickly signed Dover. His debut track “You Got a Small Town,” produced by McV, quickly garnered critical acclaim from Billboard, MusicRow, Country Now and Wide Open Country. With his debut and his follow-up “Baby I Am” earning notable playlisting, Dover was named a Spotify Hot Country 2022 Artist to Watch along with a spotlight as Billboard’s February Country Rookie of the Month and a nod for MusicRow’s 2022 Discovery Artist of the Year. After opening for Luke Comb’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium show in Atlanta, Ga., Dover set out on a seven-date run of his own headlining shows, performing across multiple locations of Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, followed by Priscilla Block’s Welcome To The Block Party and his debut at the Grand Ole Opry.
