ABOUT AVOID

Engaging, edgy, erratic, irreverent, wild, vibrant, fun… there’s certainly no shortage of adjectives to describe AVOID and their quest to fuel that feeling of being a part of something.

Evoking a nostalgia for the kind of music that seeps into your soul, the Seattle five-piece channel the musical legacy synonymous with their hometown while blissfully genre-hopping to create something entirely new. Good times with a message of inclusivity, with a drive to bring passion, innovation and provocation back to heavy music and pull in the community around it, AVOID crackle with the energy of a young act ready to take the world by storm.

While the world fell silent in 2020, the band seized the moment to make noise with the release of their attention-grabbing EP The Burner - and it got LOUD. Securing a sponsorship with NASCAR, the band had their music and band-branded vehicle in the official video game. Singer Benny Scholl went viral with his accidentally acapella rendition of the National Anthem at the NASCAR Vegas race, endearing himself to sports commentator Jim Rome who ran with coverage of the event for weeks.

New tracks “COWABUNGA” and “Split (Kill It)” are the start of something important, something defining - and AVOID are bringing everyone along for the ride. Hold on tight, it’s about to get weird.

In Her Own Words Release New Single + Music Video "Circles" And Announce Upcoming Album 'Distance or Decay' Out on thriller records

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA, pop-punk outfit In Her Own Words has today released their new single and incredibly fun accompanying music video "Circles" featuring Derek Discanio of State Champs. Not only that, but IHOWfans can also look forward to the band's forthcoming album 'Distance or Decay' out on Friday, May 27 (via Thriller Records). Speaking on today's news, IHOW vocalist Joey Fleming shared:

“'Circles' is a song about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. It’s about my lack of ability to accept what I can’t change, and going through the same motions over and over again.”

Pre-order 'Distance or Decay' here, stream "Circles" here, and watch the music video below.

In Her Own Words are ready to climb every mountain they have to, as they ascend every music scene that they have clawed to be a part of. The band has written their most magnetic music to date, which is anchored by their latest single Circles. This time out, IHOW has swung for the fences, and connected with a smash that is surely going to connect with all of their extremely loyal fans and strangers alike. The dynamic lyrics and vocals provided by Derek Discanio (State Champs) are exactly what the track needed to push it over the edge. There is something that is always familiar about Joey Fleming’s soulful vocal style, like your favorite hoodie, it just warms you up. When you mix the cold winters of upstate New York, with the palm trees and haze of Los Angeles, you get a powerful blend of dream versus reality. That is exactly what IHOW is- aggressive instrumentation and pop shimmer at the same time. Salty and sweet, with the energy of firing pistons ready to take on the world.

Call Me Karizma Drops "Young, In Love & Depressed AF" Single + Music Video

Genre-blending hip hop-and-rock artist Call Me Karizma has released his latest track "Young, In Love & Depressed AF" (out via Thriller Records). Speaking on today's release, Karizma shares:

"Years ago I wrote this song with my good friend and producer, Skimmy. The line just came to me right when I started listening to the music, and I thought to myself “this is like the real-life version of that Khalid song.” This was only a short time after his record that went “Young, dumb, broke, high school kids” blew up, but I felt that I couldn’t really relate. Though I was pretty broke, I was an early-twenties guy, trying to manage love, sadness, and life in general.

This is the anthem for all people, no matter their age or circumstance. Everyone at some point has felt in love and depressed as f*ck. Years later, especially with the mess the world is in, I feel that it’s time for the world to hear this song."

Prior to today's release, Call Me Karizma released fan-favorite track "Dead Body" and previously "DELINQUENTS" which together has garnered over 1 million streams and counting across platforms. Stream "Young, In Love & Depressed AF"here, and watch the music video below.

Call Me Karizma is the voice of the unheard and outcasts. Having signed to Thriller Records (a new label founded by Bob Becker, the mastermind and founder of world-renowned alternative rock label Fearless Records) and blending influences of rock, hip-hop, pop, and punk, Karizma does not shy away from storytelling, covering topics on mental health, politics, and relationships. In late 2020 he released his first album 'To Hell With Hollywood' as an independent artist. Without a manager or record label, he charted on Billboard’s Top 200 Album Charts. Karizma recently wrapped up touring in support of his latest EP, 'Bleached Serpent'.

Kailee Morgue Releases New Single "Another Day In Paradise" via Thriller Records

Rising indie-alt-pop ingénue Kailee Morgue has today dropped her new single and music video for track "Another Day In Paradise", out via Thriller Records. Speaking on today's release, Kailee shares:

“I wrote ‘Another Day in Paradise’ on the couch with my boyfriend talking about how hard it is to feel normal in a place like Los Angeles. I’m never one to make a song that’s as sad as it might seem so I approached it with a sarcastic point of view and some of that 90s attitude, using repetition in the bridge to mirror how it feels waking up every morning in a city where everything and nothing is happening all the time.”

Kailee previously shared the music video for "Butterflies", the first release from Kailee after signing with Thriller Records that has already totaled over 107,000 views on YouTube. Watch the music video for "Another Day In Paradise" below.

Kailee Morgue delivers a delightful dichotomy between saccharine songstress and a dabble with the dark side on new single “Butterflies”. Her first track with new label Thriller Records, the music video marks the start of an incredible new era for the Phoenix-born LA resident who has already amassed a rabid core fan base with fast-rising TikTok followers since her 2018 breakout track "Medusa" via Republic Records.
