PRESIDENT Have "Mercy" + Share Lyric Video for New Single As First Full U.S. Tour Wraps

Multi-million streaming, UK-based collective PRESIDENT continue to exist at the intersection of heavy music, electronic experimentation, and cinematic atmosphere. Launching in 2025 and operating under the cloak of minimalism and anonymity, PRESIDENT have been cultivating intrigue with each single and live performance. Refusing to conform to the traditional structures of genre or identity, PRESIDENT prioritize intent over image.

PRESIDENT have unveiled the lyric video for new single "MERCY," which arrives at the close of their massive U.S. tour supporting Bad Omens. "MERCY" is all about perfectly executed dynamics — mixing memorable melodies and heavier-than-granite riffs with gritty breakdowns. The result is another unforgettable anthem.

Watch it below

About the song, President say, "Throughout history, religion has been tied to profound division and loss. This song is a reflection on that reality, and a way for me to come to terms with what it means on a human level."

More news about future President live rallies will be revealed shortly.

"MERCY" follows "ANGEL WINGS," which arrived in February. Watch the video here. The song was tipped by Rock Sound as "a blend of bubbling synths, spine-tingling melodies and crushing riffs," while Revolver declared that the song "refined their mix of modern metal, pop and electronic music, contorting itself from twitchy programmed beats towards a cavernously djenting boom." Vice stated that President's "style is deeply compelling as it's paired with a refreshingly honest approach to songwriting."

Built to exist outside the noise, PRESIDENT are building something that invites deeper investment — designed to be discovered, not sold. PRESIDENT said it best, telling Revolver in a cover feature that "the music industry has elements of fast fashion to it these days. Things just come and go. Everything's really quick. Everyone's shouting for attention and there's just so much noise, and it just becomes a fucking conveyor belt. [We] wanted to step back and not be a part of that. But if people are interested, and they want to enter into this world, we'll grab them with open arms."

PRESIDENT's debut EP, King of Terrors, was released in fall 2025. Listen here.

The Native Howl Drop New Single + Music Video "Mercy" featuring Lzzy Hale via Sumerian Records

Purveyors of their own distinctive, genre-blurring sound "Thrash Grass", The Native Howl has released their gritty new single and official music video for "Mercy" featuring Lzzy Hale of Halestorm (via Sumerian Records). With foreboding, foot-stomping rhythm, and the band's raw intensity paired with Lzzy's inimitable vocals, "Mercy" is bound to rattle listeners down to the bone. When asked about today's release, the band shared:

‘Mercy’ was written as our original Thrash Grass anthem, and to have our vocal hero Lzzy Hale singing on it is nothing short of a dream come true!

‘Mercy’ subtly tells the story of infamous Boston gangster Whitey Bulger, and the dichotomy of dark and light between him and his disgraced politician brother William. While pulling from additional themes of organized religion and corruption, the music bed's growth in intensity throughout attempts to paint the process of all evil and wrong-doing slowly being brought to light.

Speaking about The Native Howl, Lzzy Hale also commented:

I fell in love with Native Howl from the moment they walked on stage at the Troubadour. I could feel their energy before they even played the first note. For those few minutes of performance I was entertained in a way I haven’t felt in years. These boys are doing something special, unapologetically…and that is the magic. I was a judge on the show No Cover, but not when these boys played, I was, and forever will be a fan. The only thing sweeter than their incredible mash up of influence and top tier musicianship, is their big hearts. Good luck world…The Native Howl are about to set you on fire.

The band previously released "Can't Sleep" and "Sons of Destruction" after winning Season 1 of the hit TV series No Cover and signing with Sumerian Records. Stream "Mercy" here and watch the incredible music video below.

North American fans have their opportunity to see The Native Howl bring their incendiary live show with Clutch and Blacktop Mojo beginning in late April. For ticket information please click here, and be sure to stay tuned for more news from The Native Howl coming very soon.

The Native Howl is a genre-defying quartet hailing from Leonard, Michigan, USA. Their fast-tempo music they’ve coined as “Thrash Grass” combines the aggression and intensity of thrash metal with the precision and melodicism of bluegrass. The band was born from a musical experiment that defied all expectations by blending elements of folk, bluegrass, rock, and metal, resulting in a sound entirely their own. With a dash of outlaw spirit and a touch of the wilderness, their music transports listeners to a sonic landscape where the traditional meets the contemporary. From foot-stomping bluegrass jams to lightning-fast metal-esque banjo picking, their tracks are a musical thrill ride that keeps the listener guessing with each note. Their lyrics often explore the dark sides of the human condition, nature, and the trials of life, creating a deep and personal connection with their audience.

The Native Howl Is:

Alex Holycross - Guitar, Bouzouki, Lead Vocals

Jake Sawicki - Guitar, Banjo, Vocals

Mark Chandler - Bass, Vocals

Zach Bolling - Drums, Percussion
