Modern-day melodic/theatrical rockers Wicked are back with the latest single/video from their new album – which turns out to be its title track, 'Sunburn.' Kasim Sulton is best known for his work with Utopia, Sulton sang lead on 1980s "Set Me Free”, Utopia's only top 40 hit in the United States. As a solo artist, Sulton hit the Canadian top 40 in 1982 with "Don't Break My Heart". He has toured with Blue Öyster Cult, Meat Loaf, Hall & Oates, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, Patty Smyth, and Richie Sambora, among many other artists. Sulton was the bassist and sang background vocals on the breakout Meat Loaf album “Bat Out of Hell”, and has played and sung on albums that have sold more than 85 million copies worldwide.

His latest album Kasim 2021 is set for release on September 17th through Deko Entertainment (ADA/Warner Music Group) and features stand out tracks like “Unsung”, “Fastcar”, and a unique cover of the Nick Lowe penned “(What's So Funny ‘bout) Peace Love And Understanding”. The first single “More Love” will be released on August 20th and features fellow Utopia/Todd Rundgren drummer Prairie Prince (The Tubes) and original Utopia bassist Jon Siegler. Montreal’s premier blackened death metallers are back with 'UNUS', the crushing and cinematic follow up to 2016’s 'Advent of the Human God'. With each record NECRONOMICON has created in the span of their 31-year career, the band has steadily evolved in both sound and power; 'UNUS' is no exception to this.

Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s legendary grimoire, NECRONOMICON formed in 1988 by founding guitarist and singer Rob "The Witch" in the deep, northern part of Canadian province Quebec, Fjord of Saguenay. Since then, the band have carefully released each full-length without haste, allowing them to perfect every nuance before unleashing their sonic assaults upon the masses. In 2019, NECRONOMICON was presented with a certificate of honor for over 30 years of service via H.S. production/Tommy Tremblay, and the people of Saguenay Lac St Jean, making them the second band after VOIVOD to ever receive this honor.

'UNUS' is a searing cacophony of blistering riffs, machine-like drums, and a symphonic ambience, culminating in a sound that calls to various metal icons such as DIMMU BORGIR, SEPTICFLESH, BEHEMOTH, and DEICIDE. Ten Years After Announce Livestream Event, "Blue Crossroads"

Classic rockers/blues rock trailblazers Ten Years After will soon be performing for fans throughout the world once more, via a livestream event. Entitled “Blue Crossroads,” the event includes three performances by different artists, Ten Years After on June 17th, Marcus Bonfanti Electric Band on July 1st, and Jawbone on July 15th.

The Ten Years After portion of the performance will be taking place on June 17th at 9pm EDT (with replay access available for 72 hours afterwards), tickets are available for purchase via boxoffice.mandolin.com.

Celebrating more than 50 years since forming, Ten Years After are still making classic blues rock with a contemporary groove – original members Ric Lee and Chick Churchill have continued this legacy and are now rounded out by guitarist/vocalist Marcus Bonfanti and bass icon Colin Hodgkinson.

Ric Lee: “Fans can expect an hour long concert mixing new and old Ten Years After songs such as ‘Land of the Vandals,’ ‘Hear Me Calling,’ ‘I’d Love To Change the World,’ ‘Silverspoon Lady,’ ‘Good Morning Little Schoolgirl’ and, of course, ‘I’m Going Home’ plus other tracks. From the finished cut I’ve seen we did capture the excitement of a live gig in spite of the fact that, due to Covid restrictions, we weren’t allowed an audience.”

A three time British Blues Award winner as well as countless nominations Marcus Bonfanti of the Marcus Bonfanti Electric Band has toured the world with many artists as well as his own band and released three critically acclaimed albums. His growing reputation as a guitar player and vocalist lead to him being asked to join legendary British Rock n Roll band Ten Years After in 2014. He co-wrote and produced their latest studio album as well as appearing on their last two live albums and touring the world extensively including a special 50th anniversary tour to commemorate The Woodstock Festival in 2019.He is also into his tenth year of fronting the Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion who hold a monthly residency at the prestigious London venue and have had special guests Jack Bruce Eric Burdon Joe Louis Walker Sarah Jane Morris and John Nemeth to join them. Known for his deep powerful vocal style and ability to combine many differing guitar styles to create his own unique sound Bonfanti’s live shows are full of a raw energy that many people thought had left live music a long time ago. This film manages to capture him and the band in full flow at their very best. “He will knock you out” - Huey Morgan.

Jawbone began as a collaboration between established solo artists Paddy Milner and Marcus Bonfanti and the lineup was completed by the renowned rhythm section of Rex Horan and Evan Jenkins. Since the release of their eponymous debut album in 2017 Jawbone have gone from strength to strength honing their live exciting show on the road during extensive touring of Europe. In January 2018 they were chosen to back Eric Clapton Van Morrison & Tom Jones at Paul Jones’ legendary charity show at G-Live in Guildford gaining rave reviews from the artists involved and the sell-out audience alike. The distinctive voices of Paddy Milner and Marcus Bonfanti compliment and contrast throughout the songs as they share lead vocal duties on the album. Rex Horan’s searing falsetto vocals create the three-part harmony that has become a hallmark of the Jawbone sound. Taking influences from Little Feat The Band The Rolling Stones and Crosby Stills Nash & Young but also mixing it with the eclectic musical backgrounds that each member brings allows Jawbone to create a very fresh take on rock’n’roll. The live show captures the band in its most natural form and premiers new material from their forthcoming album as well as live arrangements of the songs from their first.

The livestream is only the first TYA offering for 2021, according to Lee. “The band has a new (to the USA) live album, ‘Naturally Live,’ coming out on Deko Entertainment in the near future with 2 bonus live tracks. Following that, Chrysalis Records is releasing a ‘clam shell’ box set released either this month or July covering the years from 1967 to 1975, and October this year is the 50th anniversary of ‘A Space in Time,’ which was our most successful USA release in 1970. A gold album then, it is now certified platinum. The studio version of ‘I’d Love To Change the World’ (an AM Top Forty hit), was first heard on this album. We’re currently planning to play all or almost all of the album on our next live gigs. With luck we’ll start touring again in Europe later this year and hopefully hit the USA in 2022.”

EPICA was formed by composer Mark Jansen after leaving After Forever in 2002, and the band quickly gained attention outside their home country, taking big steps towards becoming the leading symphonic metal superpower they have long proven to be. After their ambitious debut The Phantom Agony (2002) and the surprisingly eclectic sophomore work Consign To Oblivion (2005), the road took them to new heights via their first concept masterpiece The Divine Conspiracy (2007) and their global breakthrough Design Your Universe (2009). 2012’s opus Requiem For The Indifferent, 2014’s bedazzling The Quantum Enigma, and their finest, most embellished effort yet, The Holographic Principle (2016), cemented their reputation as not only one of the hardest working metal bands in the business but also as one of the best. Period. With Ωmega, the final part of the metaphysical trilogy they began with The Quantum Enigma, they reclaim the throne without so much as the blink of an eye, amassing 3 million-plus streams during the first week of the album’s release.

Ωmega is an album of unity, of friendship, of the close bond the members share. An album that naturally came together as a group effort. And no wonder: Mark Jansen, Simone Simons and keyboard player Coen Janssen have been playing together since EPICA’s conception in 2002, with drummer Ariën van Weesenbeek joining as early as 2007, lead guitarist Isaac Delahaye following in 2009. In 2012, bass player Rob van der Loo marked the latest addition to their ranks. For eight years, three records and hundreds of gigs, this band has formed an indestructible unit.

In the middle of a world in turmoil, of a cataclysmic change in society, EPICA somehow managed to create their most spectacular album yet. An album that is seamlessly bringing together metal and orchestra, choir and oriental instruments to a perfect storm constantly emitting goose bumps. A record with specifically written suites for orchestra and choir, featuring a wide range of ethnic instruments recorded around the world by some of the best native musicians out there. In short: They outdid themselves. Once again. And still managed to keep the songs approachable and wickedly catchy.

Since forming in 2002, the band has amassed an incredible amount of success, their current album Ωmega entered the album Top 10 in Germany, Holland, Belgium and Switzerland. EPICA has toured the globe, performing at venerable festivals including Wacken, Hellfest, Heaven & Hell Festival, Heavy MTL and Download, while also staging shows in countries where many metal bands have not played including South Korea, South Africa and Venezuela.

CRYPTODIRA ANNOUNCE A STORM CALLED PROGRESS LIVESTREAM HAPPENING MAY 11th & 12th

PERFORMING THEIR NEW ALBUM THE ANGEL OF HISTORY IN FULL

The New York-based progressive death metal group, Cryptodira, have announced their upcoming 2-day livestream event titled A Storm Called Progress, an in-studio, full performance of their newest album The Angel Of History. Captured at Graphic Nature Audio, the session was engineered by Matt Guglielmo, and mixed and mastered by Jamie King. Happening on May 11th and 12th at 7pm ET, the stream will be available to watch for free on the band's Twitch channel (twitch.tv/CryptodiraBand) while the band will be present to virtually chat with fans. Following the full album performance, fans can expect play-throughs, lyric analysis, and the individual song performances to be released every month.

Speaking on the event, vocalist/guitarist Scott Acquavella says:

"As a band that's always done things the old fashioned way of writing, recording, and touring, pandemic life has been a particularly weird adjustment for us. Having put out a record in the middle of it, we were hellbent on finding a way to bring people closer to The Angel of History than anything else we've done before, and the answer to that was A Storm Called Progress.

A Storm Called Progress is centered around a live, in-studio performance of The Angel of History recorded at Graphic Nature Audio and mixed/mastered by Jamie King that will be premiered as a two day live stream event on our Twitch Channel. From there, the following months will see a series of video releases, with each month being dedicated to a different song on the record. For each song there will be an instrumental play-through video, a deep dive lyrical analysis video, and a video cut of that individual song from the live performance to explore The Angel of History in a completely different context.

We weren't content to just put out any old video performance in a sea of COVID-inspired live streams and it was important to us to release a body of work that would be engaging for listeners and creatively challenging for us, pandemic or not."

December 16, 2020 - Ryan Clark of DEMON HUNTER and Don Clark, the brothers behind the accomplished design company Invisible Creature will host a livestream event this Friday, December 18th, 2020 in celebration of their new book, Face The Music: Twenty Years Of Album Art, during which they will sift through numerous albums to uncover the stories behind many of designs, giving fans an in-depth behind the scenes and answering questions. Ryan Clark’s album design work includes packaging for Alice In Chains, Chris Cornell, Stone Sour, Wolfmother, Sevendust, Of Mice & Men, Bullet For My Valentine, Underoath, and Norma Jean (GRAMMY Award nominated for Best Recording Package), alongside many others.
