Heavy Metal Outfit JUDICATOR Signs to Nameless Grave Records

Heavy metal outfit JUDICATOR and independent U.S. label NAMELESS GRAVE are both now pleased to announce their new union! With co-founder Alicia Cordisco returning to the band in 2026 following her six year absence, JUDICATOR will release an EP of original songs in early 2027, while working on a yet to be titled eighth studio album with the reunited and recharged lineup at the helm for release later in 2027 via NAMELESS GRAVE.

On signing with Nameless Grave records, band co-founder Alicia Cordisco comments, "We could not be more thrilled to sign with Nameless Grave for our upcoming eighth album, and this new era of the band. We've been fortunate to work with many labels over the years such as Prosthetic, Divebomb, Alone, and Black Lion, but with my coming back to the band and we imagined finding a new home and the right fit would not be an easy task. Enter Nameless Grave, a label whose work I've been following for years and has been home to so many exciting newer bands as well as classic re-releases in my favorite areas of heavy metal music, and the partnership truly feels as serendipitous as the band's own founding!"

When singer John Yelland and guitarist Alicia Cordisco serendipitously crossed paths at a Blind Guardian concert in 2012, they sought out on a relentless journey to craft heavy metal concept albums that confront existential anxiety in its many forms, thus creating JUDICATOR. While building on a foundation of classic 80's/90's power metal bands that brought them together such as Blind Guardian, Helloween, and Running Wild, the duo also invoked an array of progressive influences like Fates Warning, Queensryche, and Opeth. With seven albums and a decade and a half of intense live performances under their belt, JUDICATOR’s music seeks to hold a mirror up to life’s struggles and triumphs, whether great or small, through the power of anthemic, urgent, and powerful heavy metal.

Earlier in 2026, JUDICATOR released an appetizer EP of re-recordings with accompanying videos entitled "The Elector" to showcase the new lineup, and set the stage for a new chapter after performing at Midvale Utah's Grillfest in September of 2026. For a taste of what's to come, the EP can be streamed or downloaded at THIS LOCATION.

Judicator Unveils Second Glimpse of their Forthcoming 7th Studio Album 'Concord'

American Power Metallers Judicator have unveiled a second glimpse of their forthcoming 7th studio album Concord, in the form of the single “A Miracle of Life.”

“This song is about the quiet trade-offs we make in the name of safety and comfort – until we wake up one day wondering where our freedom went,” says Judicator vocalist John Yelland. “It’s a call to reclaim a spirit of defiance, to protect the things that make life unpredictable, painful, beautiful, and ultimately worth living.”

“A Miracle of Life” follows in the path of “Concord” – the album’s first single and music video, which was hailed upon its February 7 release as “representing Judicator in top form” (Music Existence) and “absolutely killer” (Power Metal Ranger).

Concord will be released worldwide on March 28, just one week prior to the band’s debut performance in Europe, at Epic Fest. “I can’t think of a more special way to celebrate our new album,” says guitarist Chad Anderson. “Performing in Europe has been a personal goal of ours since we first became musicians. We think that Epic Fest embodies the future of metal festivals, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”

Produced by Carlos Alvarez and Yelland, Anderson, Lofgreen, and clocking in at over 50 minutes, the 8-track Concord is Judicator’s first full-length album since 2022’s The Majesty of Decay.

This newly-released song is now available to stream and download, and the music video, directed by Kade Riding, can be viewed below:

Judicator is one of modern power metal’s most dynamic, up-and-coming bands. Since their formation in 2012, the band has become well known for their intricate character studies about historical figures like Napoleon Bonaparte and Frederick the Great, as well as personal explorations of life and loss. Their new album Concord explores ideas and themes centered around the American West.

Concord is an epic exploration of American identity, blending historical events, folklore, and themes of cultural disconnection. With powerful storytelling that navigates both awe and tragedy of the American West, the album confronts the complexities of survival, power, and loss, offering a deeply resonant and thought-provoking journey through the nation’s fractured heritage.

Over seven albums now, Judicator have continually expanded their musical horizons. Their album The Last Emperor featured a guest appearance by Blind Guardian’s Hansi Kürsch, and in 2024, they had the surreal opportunity to open for Blind Guardian in Salt Lake City on their God Machine North American tour. From their humble beginnings to global recognition, Judicator continually demonstrates why they are indisputably one of power metal’s most innovative acts.

Judicator have also shared their triumphant new single, the eponymous “Concord,” along with a music video. “Concord” is as relentless as it is poignant. The song calls out to a world at odds with itself, ready to embrace its own collapse with hopes that something better might rise from the ashes.

“We wanted to capture the tension between despair and hope — how beauty and devastation coexist, and how we, as individuals and groups, are tasked with choosing which force to nurture,” says vocalist John Yelland. “The lyrics embody that struggle.”

Judicator will release Concord one week prior to the band’s debut performance in Europe, at Epic Fest in Roskilde, Denmark. This special, 60-minute performance will serve as a celebration of Concord's release, and will also close out the festival.

“I can’t think of a more special way to celebrate our new album,” says guitarist Chad Anderson. “Performing in Europe has been a personal goal of ours since we first became musicians. We think that Epic Fest embodies the future of metal festivals, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”
