OCEANHOARSE Release Video for New Track "Brick"!

Finnish heavy metallers Oceanhoarse are gearing up for the release of the band's sophomore full-length record, entitled Heads Will Roll, which will be coming out on February 17th via Noble Demon. In support of the new album, the band has released a video for the new single "Brick".

WATCH the video below.

Ben Varon comments.

"'Brick' is what it sounds like to lose your sanity. This is the musical equivalent to a high-speed chase, or a 2-minute 45-second long nightmare. The main riff actually started as this crazy c-part of another song, but then we thought, "why not just build a whole song around this fucked up riff?!" I can definitely hear the influence of late 80’s Megadeth here. Helmets on boys and girls!"

With former and current members of well-known acts like Amoral, Warmen and others, Oceanhoarse have become known as a band that's willing to explore things in their very own style, instead of sticking to any kind of average formular. Having released their debut studio album Dead Reckoning in 2021 (Noble Demon), followed by multiple single releases and extensive touring, the Helsinki based four-piece might be one of the most remarkable and hard working newcomers out there right now. So get prepared for Heads Will Roll, an album not to be missed in the year of 2023!

OCEANHOARSE Unleash Video for New Single "Pryopen"!

Today, Finnish heavy metallers Oceanhoarse have unleashed their brand new single "Pryopen"onto the world! A heavy pounding anthem but also a track with a serious and strong message, as singer Joonas Kosonen explains: "'Pryopen' is musically fast and captivating, perhaps stylistically even in the direction of more modern American metal. However, the song's lyrics are about the struggle with addiction. The subject touches many of us either directly or indirectly and we wanted to offer strength to those who are fighting, as well as to those who have already lost a loved one to addiction. We wanted to keep the lyrics of the verses raw and straightforward, depicting internal battles in one's own head just when the will is about to break. The purpose of the chorus is to light a small spark of hope for those who struggle in their everyday life: 'Won't bend this time, cause now I'm taking back what's mine!'"

The single comes with a brand new music video, that you can watch below.

Bass player Jyri Helko about the music video:
"The video shoot was something extraordinary. We wanted to have a scene where Joonas is about to drown in the middle of the empty sea during night time, but obviously shooting a scene like that during the freezing winter in Finland is impossible. Therefore, we had to get creative and we spent a whole day decorating a small indoor pool in our friend’s house to make it look like the real deal – I think we did a pretty damn good job with it."

"Pryopen" is taken from the band's upcoming sophomore studio album titled Heads Will Roll, which will be released on February 17 via Noble Demon. The album is available for pre-order at THIS LOCATION

OCEANHOARSE Release New Single & Video for "Heads Will Roll"!

Today, Finnish heavy metal act Oceanhoarse have unleashed their brand new single "Heads Will Roll" onto the world. The single comes along with a music video, that you can watch below.

Ben Varon comments:

"We've been working on 'Heads Will Roll' for a few years, as it took a while for us to find the right groove for it. But we've believed in the song's potential from the beginning, so we kept at it. Finally, with the help of producer Kari Huikuri, we managed to capture the song as we feel it should be, while playing it live in the studio. No click tracks, just four musicians locking in and going for it. I think that energy shows through the end result!"

He continues:

"Lyrically, the song is another take on one of my 'favorite' subjects, which is corruption, tyranny and overall inhuman behaviour. Unfortunately, this song feels more relevant than ever right now..."

Having released their debut studio album Dead Reckoning in 2021 via Noble Demon, followed by multiple single releases, Oceanhoarse like to stay busy and might be one of the most remarkable and hard working newcomers out there right now. The band's explosive mix of crushing riffs as well as intense and groovy arrangements not only brought the band on tour with Swedish progressive metal masters SOEN recently, but also praise from fans and press alike. So make sure to check out the band's new music video or listen to "Heads Will Roll" through your favorite streaming platform HERE
