A sinful new covers album by FEUERSCHWANZ!

They return from the darkness with an illuminating video for Blinding Lights!

Following the success of their previous #1 charting album, 'Memento Mori', the hottest German band in folk rock to date are back to flabbergast their fans with the spectacular covers album, 'Todsünden', to be released December 30, 2022 – exactly one year after the release of 'Memento Mori' – via Napalm Records. The album consists of two completely new songs, as well as the cover bonus tracks from their last two studio albums.

With their newest offering, they present an official music video for “Blinding Lights” – one of the biggest pop songs of the current decade by The Weeknd. Effortlessly combining their own style with the hot 80s revival sound of the 2020s, the song and video compare to a mischievous club night at the tavern. Pushing beyond all limitations, FERUSCHWANZdo not shy away from exploring the unexplored and humorously invite the listener into their world of pure medieval rock!

Hodi states:

“A song from 2020, but with REALLY heavy 80s vibes. And all that, although I was born in 1990! This is really great songwriting that we have brought into the medieval and metal world. Bon Jovi with bagpipes. I always think of a vampire singing about the sun when I hear this song. ‘I can't sleep until i feel your touch.’”

Genre exploration and loads of fun aside, amidst it all, FEUERSCHWANZ clearly showcase their musical skills and development, convincing with ultra-elaborate sound.

In particular, vocalists Hauptmann and Hodi flex their deft skillset, from skyscraper 80s-style falsettos to deep growling and even rapping (as evident on their cover of Deichkind’s Limit).

So, jump on board this thrilling musical ride and witness FEUERSCHWANZ conquering a kaleidoscope of musical styles with ease!

Proving their versatility with every single song on this album, FEURSCHWANZ overcome linguistic, musical and genre-specific limitations and unite the tavern in a sonic feast. Effortlessly combining different genres, the medieval folk-rock geniuses reinterpret everything from pop to punk rock to metal hits without ever losing their own characteristic sound.

From beloved evergreens like “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! to chart toppers like their latest release “Blinding Lights”, everyone will find their favorite. With humble support from icons like Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum), Saltatio Mortis, and Angus McSix, 'Todsünden' is a musical spectacle beyond compare.

This exciting ride starts off with a cover of Swedish pop legends ABBA.

FEUERSCHWANZ give their world-famous song “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!” a folk-rock vibe with a gloomy but still uplifting atmosphere bursting into heavy riffing and drumming. Another pop-tinged rock song of legend is covered with Europe‘s “The Final Countdown”, but the album also features current highlights like “Blinding Lights", Ed Sheeran’s “I See Fire” and “Ding” by Seed featuring Ad Infinitum’s Melissa Bonny.

Punk rock tracks like “The Bad Touch” by the glorious Bloodhound Gang or tracks by German bands like “Hier kommt Alex” by Die Toten Hosen or “Der Graf” by Die Ärzte – a track that FEUERSCHWANZ honor with their very own trademark by telling ancient tales in their own fabulous way.

Similar treatment is given to “Engel” by German legends Rammstein, as FEUERSCHWANZ pick up the story and dress it in their own folkloristic gloomy sound, while in its new version, former European summer hit “Dragoesta Din Tei” throws the listener directly into a wild Viking party, releasing medieval power that will have them out of their seat in no time.

In honor of the metal scene, FEUERSCHWANZ present their very own version of Amon Amarth’s “Twilight of the Thunder God” but give it a new spin by turning it into a medieval hymn with 80s rock vibes. Other famous tracks include covers of Ghost’s “Square Hammer”, a turn at Powerwolf‘s “Amen and Attack pumped with chanting violins, Sabaton’s “Gott Mit Uns”, and the all-time classic “Warriors of the World” by the one and only Manowar, which they present together with honorable guests Angus McSix, Saltatio Mortis and Melissa Bonny.

VAMPIRES EVERYWHERE

Release New Five-Song EP

'The Awakening'

via Cleopatra Records

Plus New Music Video For

"The Hills" (The Weeknd Cover)

Las Vegas-based horror rockers Vampires Everywhere have today released their long-awaited EP, 'The Awakening' (out via Cleopatra Records). In celebration of the new EP, the band has also dropped the music video for their interpretation of The Weeknd's hit single "The Hills". Leading up to release day, Vampires Everywhere have shared tracks "WITCH", resurrecting the band from a 5-year hiatus, and most recently "Death Of Me". Not only that, but the band kicks off their US tour today and has also announced that their fans across the pond will have the opportunity to see them in London in April 2022. Speaking on today's news, frontman Michael Vampire comments:

"It's absolutely insane to me that I'm releasing another piece of work under the Vampires Everywhere moniker! It's such an amazing feeling bringing this band back full circle and bringing it back strong. The idea of ending the hiatus dawned on me about a year ago. It's been such a mindfuck putting all the pieces back together and for all intents and purposes, starting from scratch. The music industry is a fickle entity that must be approached with intensity and extreme vigilance, which I think we approached this comeback with all of those elements. It's with great happiness that we release "The Awakening", which I feel is a fresh but nostalgic body of work that represents VE 3.0. Self-produced by me and Craig Pirtle, this EP is personal and not dated! We wanted an album that would pull at the heartstrings of the new wave of rock but still pledge its undying loyalty to the VE fans that helped shape the band over the last 11 years. I think Matt Good did a great job mixing it! He fit us in right before he started recording Asking Alexandria. Big thanks to Matt for making that happen.

I am a giant The Weeknd fan! I've been captivated by this artist for quite some time and I knew I would eventually cover one of his songs. I think "The Hills" was a perfect choice for my voice. The lyrics really speak to me. We wanted to maintain the beauty of the original song but also bring heavy vibes to it. I believe we absolutely did this song justice and hope The Weeknd ends up hearing it! I recruited Randy Edwards, who did our last 4 music videos to come out to Los Angeles and bring my vision to life. I didn't want a storyline for this particular video and wanted the performance to speak for itself. Unfortunately, we shot in a warehouse space that was 100 degrees the whole time, but we still managed to kick some ass and bring this video to life!

It's been 6 years since we hit the road with Filter and Orgy. I thought that would be our last voyage into the abyss, however, it was only the beginning it seems. I couldn't be happier heading out with Vampires Everywhere! I believe I have an amazing lineup of artists that truly understand my vision... We are about to head out on a 30 day run taking us through the entire United States! Stoked to be doing that with our friends in Assuming We Survive, The Bunny The Bear, and Fate Destroyed. I am also beyond excited to announce Vampires Everywhere is finally heading overseas to the United Kingdom to play The Underworld in London! It’s been 11 years in the making and I feel the timing is perfect. Tickets are on sale now!"

Vampires Everywhere were conceptualized in early 2010 by Michael Orlando later known as Michael Vampire. The band started its journey in Hollywood, CA-based on the idea of bringing a fresh feel to an already saturated metalcore market. Michael has been obsessed with the 1987 cult classic film "The Lost Boys" since age 13 and wanted to start a band around his love for the movie and his passion for rock music. The band quickly gained notoriety in 2010 with their debut music video for "Immortal Love" which hit half a million views and landed on the iconic MTV Headbangers Ball. A few months later VE was signed to Century Media Records and toured with Black Veil Brides on the Hot Topic Tour around the United States. The band also landed an opening spot for X Japan's first North American run playing for over 5,000 people a night and to this day is the only band to open for X Japan in the US. After an amazing run on the 2012 Warped Tour, the band was asked by Kevin Lyman to headline Rob Zombie's Great Adventure in Pomona, CA. Vampires Everywhere have since toured with the likes of Motionless In White, AIDEN, Alesana, Orgy, Filter, Falling In Reverse, and countless others. The band is beyond excited for its new chapter in 2021 signing with iconic Los Angeles-based record label Cleopatra Records. Stay tuned for more Vampires Everywhere news coming soon.
