ONErpm Announces Joint Venture with Huff Co.

As announced with Billboard earlier today, ONErpm Nashville is proud to announce a joint venture with Huff Co., Dann and David Huff’s new production company, which will launch artists into the marketplace. Dann, a Billboard Producer of the Decade recipient, will be at the helm, with creative input from his brother, David, and other producers.

ONErpm, one of the fastest growing music companies in the world, will fund production, handle distribution and marketing, and co-own the master recordings. The artists will be signed directly to the joint venture, with ONErpm acting as the record company.

“Some artists we sign may already have a streaming foothold but want to grow their careers with the best in the business,” explains Tim Wipperman, managing director of ONErpm Nashville. “Others may be established artists looking for a more beneficial structure than a typical majors deal.”

“We want ONErpm to be at the forefront of finding new ways to build careers,” Wipperman shared with
Billboard

“This has been something that my brother David and I have talked about for years,” shares Huff. “Together with our good friend and attorney, Seth Lichtenstein, we are looking forward to partnering with ONErpm and pulling in artists who are willing to think outside ‘the box!’”

ONErpm, which founder Emmanuel Zunz created by putting technology at the forefront, remains on the industry’s cutting edge. The first music company to offer artists “real-time” online transparency via a marketing and management system called Amplifier, ONErpm’s proprietary technology allows artists and their teams to log on and get daily stats on how many people are streaming their songs—one of a long list of marketing tasks it handles on their behalf.

ONErpm Nashville is proud to announce the signing of local singer/songwriter Jay Allen to its in-house label. The independent music company will also handle distribution for Allen’s new music, including his next single, “Jello Shot,” co-written with his longtime producer, Micah Wilshire, and hit songwriter Cory Batten (“She Wouldn’t Be Gone”/Blake Shelton). The rowdy, uptempo single will be released Friday, June 16, on all platforms, followed by a supporting video premiering Friday, June 30. Listen to Allen's latest releases HERE.

An Iowa native and former The Voice contestant, Allen couldn’t be happier to be joining the ONErpm family. “After years of fighting against Alzheimer’s, I feel like it’s finally time to start having fun, and I believe it’s what my mother would want as well,” he says. “It’s awesome how God works and connects you with the right people at the right time. Emmanuel Zunz and Tim Wipperman are like big brothers to me, along with the rest of the talented and hard-working team.” Allen adds enthusiastically, “This is going to be a blast, and I’m pumped to show everyone what we’ve been working on.”

“Jay Allen is one of the most driven, focused and versatile talents we’ve signed,” says Tim Wipperman, managing director of ONErpm Nashville. “He has that rare capability to believably sing a tender ballad about his mom, then switch to a rockin’, bootie-shaking dance song and kick butt. We’re stoked to have him.”

Allen is performing with a full band on Sunday, June 11, at 6 p.m. on the Hard Rock stage during CMA Music Fest week in Nashville. In addition to his appearance on NBC’s The Voice, Allen has recently been featured on ABC’sWorld News Tonight, PeopleTV, Pickler & Ben, and in People and Forbes magazines, among others. He was selected as The Highway Find on Sirius XM in 2017 with his song “Sounds Good to Me”; won the 2022 Country Now Awards as Favorite Competition Contestant; and was recognized as one of Music Mayhem magazine’s 2023 Artists to Watch.

Allen was also presented with the Alzheimer’s Association’s Caregiving Award in 2019. After seeing his mother suffer from the debilitating effects of Alzheimer’s, Allen wrote the moving tribute, “Blank Stares.” A video of him performing the song with his mother on stage in Iowa went viral, with over 500 million views on Facebook. His mother has since passed, but Allen continues to tour the country as an advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association, and the song has gone on to raise over $100 million to help fight the disease.

Last fall, Allen married rising UMG country artist Kylie Morgan. For more information, visit

ONErpm Nashville is proud to announce the signing of rising country artist William Michael Morgan, who will be releasing a Keith Stegall–produced EP later this year. Morgan, a modern-day traditionalist, previously earned a No. 1 single with “I Met a Girl,” described by Rolling Stone as a “laid-back ode to the joy of romantic discovery” that was named one of NPR Music’s Top 100 Songs of 2016. This Gold-certified single paved the way for a top 5 debut of Morgan’s first album, Vinyl, on the Billboard Country Albums chart.

Since then, the 29-year-old Mississippi native has been building his fan base by touring the country and releasing music that remains true to his Vicksburg roots with a voice that “resonates with the flawless timbre of someone who has been singing country music for decades beyond his years,” according to Pandora.

“It is an honor to be teaming up with ONErpm,” Morgan says, noting that “Tim Wipperman, Ryan Cunningham and the team there really believe in the kind of music we are making” and further explaining that his new music, produced by the legendary Stegall, “is something I’ve been working toward my whole career. All the ups and downs, the growth and learning—you can hear it all in this new music, the majority of which I have written as a result of my own life lessons.”

“William Michael Morgan has had an amazing career so far,” affirms Cunningham, A&R director of Country Music for ONErpm. “We believe in him as an artist, and we’re excited to see how high he can climb with this new music.”

2023 is looking like a breakout year for Morgan, with the forthcoming album and summer tour dates scheduled from Sevierville and Nashville, Tenn. to Galveston, Texas, and Comstock, Neb.

As one of the more recent CRS New Faces of Country Music, Morgan has already accumulated over 100 million on-demand streams. For more information, visit WilliamMichaelMorgan.com or follow along on socials @WMMorganMusic on Instagram, @WilliamMichaelMorgan on Facebook and @WMMorgan on Twitter. Morgan is managed by Joe Carter and Mike Taliaferro of Carter and Company; booking is handled by The Kinkead Entertainment Agency.

ONErpm Nashville is proud to announce the signing of vocalist and songwriter Jesslee. Her debut single, “Unmeet You,” is now available on all platforms and the official YouTube video for the single premiered yesterday. Watch Below.

Tim Wipperman, managing director for ONErpm Nashville, says “Jesslee is a phenomenal singer. Her powerful vocals are unparalleled, coupled with the fact that she is one of the best new writers in town.”

“As an Italian American artist,” Jesslee says, “I am so excited to be working with a company that embraces my uniqueness and is dedicated to working with artists to develop something wonderful together.”

Jesslee—who appeared for 45 consecutive weeks on Apple Music’s Country Hot Tracks—first burst onto the music scene in 2018 by turning two chairs and ultimately joining coach Blake Shelton’s team on season 14 of NBC’s The Voice. That performance led to several more national television appearances and, ultimately, songwriting opportunities. Jesslee soon moved to Nashville and continued developing her craft with an elite group of artists and writers. “Unmeet You” was written with her manager, Steve Virginia, and fellow Voice alums, The Swon Brothers.

“She is a one-of-a-kind artist,” affirms Virginia, CEO of Black Label Nash Entertainment. “Jesslee crafts every song with a genuine passion that naturally pulls the listener in,” noting that “She has a way of staying true to the story while doing what is best musically for the song.”

“The responses and comments from her fans are filled with touching stories about how she makes a difference in so many lives,” remarks Ryan Cunningham, A&R director of Country Music for ONErpm, adding, “This is exactly what music is supposed to do.”

2023 is looking like a breakout year for Jesslee, with a brand-new record deal and several national and international dates on the books. She has already shared the stage with high-profile country artists such as Thomas Rhett, Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, Cam, Kane Brown, LOCASH, RaeLynn, Uncle Kracker, Wynonna Judd, Joe Nichols, Thompson Square, Parmalee, Cassadee Pope and Craig Campbell.

ONErpm Signs 23 Year-Old Singer/Songwriter Chase Peña

Writing Credits Include John Legend’s “Conversations in the Dark”

Recent Forbes Article Details How ONErpm Helps Artists like Peña Market Their Own Music

Twenty-three-year-old singer-songwriter Chance Peña recently found himself amid a flurry of offers from several record labels. His choice? ONErpm, the one “leading the charge on the frontier of the music industry,” Peña says.

“As an artist and business owner, I want complete control—from a creative, marketing and financial standpoint—over my music,” Peña explains. “Most major record labels just don’t offer that, particularly to newly signed acts. ONErpm is different, and that difference made my decision an easy one.”

Peña is part of a new brand of artists who see ONErpm’s model as the wave of the future. As company founder Emmanuel Zunz explains, “We continue to layer on professional services from marketing to intelligence tools, analytics and more. In the last 12 years, we have evolved from a distribution company into a modern-day record label.”

A Tyler, Texas, native, Peña first burst onto the music scene in 2015 by making coach Adam Levine’s team on season nine of The Voice as a 15-year-old prodigy. That appearance led to a publishing deal with Secret Road, ultimately culminating in the opportunity to co-write “Conversations in the Dark” with three high-profile writers, including Gregg Wattenberg, which led the song to be pitched to John Legend. It became the lead single on Legend’s 2020 Bigger Love album, which went on to win a Grammy for best R&B album and also earned Peña a gold record. The budding superstar also experienced early sync success with his song “Up Up and Away” landing a spot in the 2019 drama Five Feet Apart.

Peña, who counts American alternative folk band The Lumineers and rapper Kid Cudi among his influences, also produces and engineers his own music. He is currently working on a new EP as a follow-up to anxiety & mixed emotions (2019) and The Inevitable (2020). His current single, “In My Room,” released in May 2022, is approaching 80 million in total consumption, including 61 million streams on Spotify, 5 million on Apple, 1.4 million on Amazon and 70,000 on Pandora, with an additional 7 million video views on YouTube and 1 million on TikTok.

“Being at the forefront of the music industry is something I see myself doing as well,” Peña elaborates, “so when I met the ONErpm team and saw how our goals aligned in more ways than one, I knew it was a match made in heaven. They’re genuine, hard-working, music-loving people,” he enthuses, “and I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with them.”

Bread City’s Liz Baylog, one of Chance’s managers, agrees, noting that “ONErpm’s openness to cater to independent artists by sharing their expertise and adding value to what the artists are already succeeding with is why they are such compelling partners.” Founder of Secret Road, Lynn Grossman concurs, adding that “the folks at ONErpm have already shown their ability to move a project forward with total respect for the artist’s vision.”

Alex Ziabko and Brian Moroney, both members of the A&R team at ONErpm, are excited to help Peña take the next steps to stardom. “Chance’s meteoric rise has been absolutely incredible to watch,” Ziabko says. “We look forward to matching his ambitions and are committed to growing his global footprint. Chance’s talent and passion are infectious, we are thrilled to be a part of his journey.” Moroney adds that “Chance is showing his peers and the music industry that there are new and exciting ways to build your career and team independently. He’s worked hard to lead a generation of artists that choose sovereignty. We could not be more excited to work with this seminal artist.”
