GWAR Invades Australia for Good Things Festival 2025 + Announces Official Action Figures from Trick or Treat Studios

Shock rock overlords GWAR storm back to Australia this December for Good Things Festival 2025, their first Down Under shows in over a decade and they’re bringing the carnage in more ways than one. Alongside their milestone multimedia release, 'The Return of Gor Gor,' GWAR has teamed with Trick or Treat Studios to launch a new series of officially licensed action figures, perfect for fans who want to bring the Scumdogs’ chaos home.

The band’s Australian return follows the release of 'The Return of Gor Gor,' a grotesque, hilarious, and gloriously violent audio/visual assault celebrating 40 years of GWAR’s intergalactic mayhem. Featuring the brutal new single “Tyrant King” and a 32-page comic, the release resurrects GWAR’s legendary reptilian war beast, Gor Gor, in all its blood-drenched glory.

Jizmak Da Gusha says:

GWAR is obtaining work visas as undercover plumbers to unclog all the disgusting items Aussies put down their drains. But, the truth is, we have been asked to come back to Australia to fix all of their government’s problems. Should take about a week. I’m secretly excited to go down under because it’s shark season and lots of people are being eaten, which is very entertaining for me. Fun vacation all around.”

The Berserker Blöthar adds:

"For the second time in 40 years, GWAR is going down under. That’s right. December 2025, we invade our favorite penile colony. So throw another corpse on the barbie and get ready for metal, mutants, blood, and trickling rivulets of laughter! Because we are the true gods of shock rock, and we are coming to Australia!"

Alan Robert Doubles Down on Horror: Ghouliana Gets a Killer Upgrade from NECA, "Crawl to Me" Concept Trailer Premieres — WATCH

Best-selling creator Alan Robert, the visionary behind The Beauty of Horror coloring book phenomenon and bassist/co-founder of Metal Hall of Fame inductees Life of Agony, is doubling down on terror this summer with two major announcements sure to thrill horror fans and collectors alike.

GHOULIANA GETS A KILLER UPGRADE  — AND A NEW BOOK TO COLOR

First up, Robert’s iconic creepy-cute queen Ghouliana is back from the grave in a killer new deluxe action figure set from NECA. Following her debut in NECA’s 2023 Toony Terrors line, Ghouliana returns larger and more detailed than ever before.

The all-new Ghouliana & Poppet Glow-in-the-Dark Action Figures drop July 18th, boasting multiple points of articulation, a fabric bat-wing dress, her loyal undead pup Poppet, and eerie glow-in-the-dark features — making this 6.5-inch collectible a must-have for fans of Robert’s hit series.

"When I was a kid in the ‘80s, I’d make a beeline for the action figure aisle," says Robert. "Seeing Ghouliana on shelves today is that same childhood thrill all over again. We obsessed over every detail — from the poseable sculpt to the packaging and exclusive artwork. It’s a full-blown celebration of The Beauty of Horror universe, and I’m grateful to my friends at NECA for making this nightmare a reality."

Watch the animated teaser Below:

"The imagery of The Beauty of Horror totally aligns with everything we do at NECA," adds Randy Falk, NECA's VP and Creative Director. "It’s an honor to collaborate with a visionary artist like Alan to bring Ghouliana to life in figure form."

The scares don't stop there: Ghouliana's world expands even further on August 5 with the release of The Beauty of Horror: Ghouliana’s Sanctuary for Monsters — the franchise’s very first storybook that you can color, inviting fans to join Ghouliana on a frightfully fun adventure that blends narrative and interactive coloring in one delightfully macabre package.

Meanwhile, Robert's acclaimed psychological thriller graphic novel Crawl to Me is back in development for a big screen adaptation with a completed feature screenplay by T.J. Cimfel and David K. White — the writing duo behind Netflix’s Don’t Move, produced by Sam Raimi.

After a carousel of producer option hand-offs, the rights to Crawl to Me have returned home to Robert's Wasted Talent Entertainment.

An unnerving concept trailer has now dropped, directed and animated by executive producer Chris White (EP on the upcoming A24/Atomic Monster film The Backrooms) and based on Robert's original storyboards, giving fans their first chilling glimpse of the beloved horror comic brought to life on screen.

"It feels poetic to finally have Crawl to Me back in my hands," says Robert. "This is the adaptation fans have been waiting for — true to the book, and made with a team that understands its psychological complexity and raw terror."

Set during a brutal winter, Crawl to Me follows a young family’s descent into madness as a malevolent entity surfaces in their remote basement, blurring the line between reality and nightmare. Hailed by Fangoria and Bloody Disgusting as one of the decade'ss standout horror comics, the graphic novel’s mix of harrowing twists and deeply emotional storytelling has captivated horror fans worldwide.

GWAR & Mischief Toys Unleash Limited-Edition “Minion Gastley” Toy

Mischief Toys and GWAR have formed an unholy alliance that blends heavy metal mayhem with cult collectible culture. This limited-edition crossover celebrates the fusion of music and mischief, offering fans multiple colorways of Minion Gastley along with matching merch. Whether you’re a designer toy collector, a GWAR maniac, or both, this drop delivers the chaos you crave.

GWAR's 40th Anniversary Celebration continues this summer with 'The Return of Gor Gor,' the new multimedia release due out on July 25th!

'The Return of Gor Gor' includes three brand-new studio tracks—mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge)—plus four blistering live recordings from 2024, mixed by Chris Ronan Murphy. The release comes bundled with a 32-page full-color comic, resurrecting the legendary monster Gor Gor in an over-the-top visual bloodbath.

Blothar comments on 'The Return of Gor Gor':

"The last time I saw Gor Gor he was just a wee fart dragon. He had crawled on the hood of my Kia Soul and was holding on for dear life while I drove to the store to buy Clamato. I bathed him in wiper fluid and used my wipers to knock him off my sweet ride. Next thing I know, he’s a 20-foot tall trans-species prostitute working a pickle park. Apparently, he’s all grown up and looking for revenge. This record chronicles his struggles as a young Dino-American trying to make his way in a cruel world."
