As Ian Munsick prepares to release his fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, this Friday – which received early praise from The Tennessean for its “sweeping Western storytelling and vivid landscapes” – the Wyoming native is celebrating with the launch of his capsule collaboration collection with Schaefer Outfitter, available now HERE.

As Munsick embarks on his Road to the Mountain Goat western tour, Schaefer Outfitter will join on select stops in Park City, Utah; Laramie, Wyoming; and Deadwood, South Dakota. At each location, fans will have the opportunity to see and try pieces from the collection. The tour's merch operation will also carry Schaefer Outfitter hats and tees for fans to purchase.
Founded in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Schaefer Outfitter has spent four decades providing western wear to working cowboys and ranchers. Their collection with Munsick includes custom pearl snap shirts, outerwear, hats and graphic tees designed collaboratively between Munsick and the Schaefer team.
The collaboration was born from hands-on involvement with both Ian and Caroline Munsick providing design inspiration, artwork direction, fabric details, naming inspiration and more. With the line dropping around the arrival of Munsick’s fourth studio album, The Mountain Goat, songs off the project including “Geronimo” draw inspiration in multiple pieces.

The Mountain Goat marks Munsick’s first full-length project released via WEST TO THE REST RECORDS / Triple Tigers Records. Co-produced by Munsick with Jeremy Spillman and Mike Robinson, Munsick also played an extensive role in the instrumentation heard on the 15-track record.
In total, Munsick is credited with playing nine different instruments: acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, piano, bouzouki and kazoo, as well as lending background vocals and programming.
