As a year of exponential growth continues, rising country sensation Maddox Batson announces the headlining I Need A Truck Tour – adding more than two-dozen dates to his busy fall schedule.
Tickets are available via exclusive artist presale beginning today at 1 p.m. local time, while venue and local-market presales open tomorrow (4/30) at 1 p.m. local time, followed by an exclusive Spotify presale beginning Thursday (5/1) at 1 p.m. local. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday (5/2) at 1 p.m. local time the same day his deluxe EP, First Dance (The After Party) drops featuring “I Need A Truck” via Warner Records. Pre-order / pre-save First Dance (The After Party) HERE.
“It’s wild to be 15 and releasing a song about the anticipation of my first truck at the same time I’m announcing a tour – my family is good about reminding me to live in the moment and really take it all in, and I promise you I am,” shares the multi-instrumentalist. “The band and I had the best time on the Road to Indio Tour and this last weekend at Stagecoach was sick – I was there just one year before as a fan in the crowd for Jelly Roll, so to play a tour that wrapped with a set there was a dream come true. As long as y’all keep showing up, so will we – we have the best fans in the world!"
Kicking off on September 7 in Richmond, Virginia, the I Need A Truck Tour will feature 29 dates across the U.S., with stops stretching from Orlando, Florida, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and beyond. The extensive trek will include shows in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina (at House of Blues), Kansas City, Missouri (at The Truman), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (at Brooklyn Bowl), Boston, Massachusetts (House of Blues) and many more, before wrapping with a homecoming show on November 2 in Birmingham, Alabama (at Avondale Brewing Company).
All along the way, fans will be treated to electrifying performances from one of Country’s brightest young stars, who represents the start of a new creative generation.
“Come out and we’ll all have X’s on our hands at Avondale,” he says, in closing!

Mixing classic country storytelling and swagger with southern rock energy, pop palatability, and distinctive grooves, Batson is a 15-year-old singer-songwriter born just outside Nashville, and raised in Alabama.
With the instinctive ability to blend classic country roots with a fresh, modern twist, his I Need A Truck Tour follows the highly anticipated First Dance EP – available now via Prosper Entertainment / Warner Records with the Deluxe (The After Party) out Friday – and arrives as the multi-instrumental newcomer captivates audiences everywhere, with heartfelt storytelling and a signature sound.
Batson first connected with fans through standouts like “Tears In The River” and “I Wanna Know,” and has gone on to release hits such as “I Don’t Like You Anymore” (1 million Spotify streams and 2.6 million YouTube views), and “X’s” (5 million+ Spotify streams and 11 million YouTube views).
The I Need A Truck Tour will build on a year of massive shows for the rising star from his Road to Indio Tour. After making his Grand Ole Opry debut in March and appearing at Stagecoach Music Festival in April, Batson will join Lainey Wilson’s Whirlwind Tour for select dates in September and October.

About Maddox Batson:
Maddox Batson navigates the world with wisdom and wit far beyond his 15 years. After the Nashville-born, Alabama-based songwriter began gaining notoriety covering songs from Zach Bryan, Red Clay Strays, and more, he started to write his own songs. Thanks to early singles like “Tears In The River” and “I Wanna Know,” Batson quickly showed that he wasn’t only a star at covering country hits, but an excellent writer of his own home-cooked cuts – a practice he saw first-hand as a co-writer on Lana Del Rey and Quavo’s smash hit collaboration, “Tough.”
With the arrival of his latest single, “Girl In Green” and his EP First Dance, Batson is ready to show the world what he can create, all while embarking on sold-out live shows across the country, making his debut appearances at Stagecoach Music Festival and the Grand Ole Opry, and preparing more new music — First Dance (The After Party) out May 2. Life is moving fast for the multi-instrumentalist (piano, guitar & mandolin), who has fully embraced his next- up status in country-pop music. “It can be overwhelming, this life, but I’ve got a lot of good people surrounding me,” he explains.
