FUTUREBIRDS
May 20 at 8:00pm CT

“The music is a patchwork amalgam of influences, including: twangy Southern rock (they've opened for the Drive-By Truckers), reverb-soaked psychedelia reminiscent of early My Morning Jacket or fellow Athens residents Phosphorescent, soaring guitar solos à la Neil Young and Crazy Horse, rhythmic jangle from that other Athens band, REM, multi-part vocal harmonies (which every band ought to have, dammit), and, weaving through it all, lyrical slide guitar.” - Vox.com

LEANNE MORGAN
June 15 at 7:00pm CT

After making her debut in the Grand Ole Opry in March 2022, Middle Tennessee native and southern sweetheart Leanne Morgan will return to The Ryman on June 15 following a sold-out Opry House headlining performance on April 19, 2023 as a part of the Nashville Comedy Festival. Leanne’s style of comedy combines her southern charm and hilarious story telling about her own life into an act that keeps them coming back for more. The tour’s name was inspired by Leanne’s career which started serendipitously 22 years ago when the mother of three realized her calling was in making people laugh. At midlife Leanne is truly just getting started and hopes that she can inspire others to feel the same.

AMERICA

When America, the perennial classic-rock favorite, hit the road in 2023, they’ll celebrate their 53th Anniversary with their powerful performances. Founding members, Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell (along with former band mate, the late Dan Peek) met in high school in London in the late 1960s and quickly harmonized their way to the top of the charts on the strength of their signature song "A Horse With No Name." America became a global household name and paved the way with an impressive string of hits following the success of their first #1 single. Forty plus years later, these friends are still making music together, touring the world and thrilling audiences with their timeless sound.

OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW
Dec. 30 at 8:00pm CT & Dec. 31 at 9:00pm CT

Old Crow Medicine Show got their start busking on street corners in 1998, from New York state and up through Canada, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his festival, MerleFest, and the rest is history.

It’s been over twenty years since these humble beginnings. The band has gone on to receive the honor of being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry, and have won two Grammy Awards: “Best Folk Album” for Remedy (2014) and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express (2013). The band’s most recent work is Live At The Ryman (2019) which was released on Columbia via The Orchard. Old Crow Medicine Show's latest endeavor is their live You Tube show, Hartland Hootenanny which airs live on Saturday nights at 7:00 PM. Curated and filmed by the band, the show combines music, comedy, and features a special guest each week.
