Multi-Platinum singer/songwriter Chase Rice has partnered with Weiss Watch Company, the makers of hand-crafted American watches designed for both everyday wear and multi-generation legacy, to create the Limited Edition 42mm Standard Issue Field Watch: Chase Rice Edition timepiece. The unique watch is specially designed to honor Rice’s time playing college football as a linebacker at the University of North Carolina prior to launching his highly successful music career.

“When I first discovered Weiss watches, I was really impressed by the quality and especially the fact that they are American made,” notes Rice. “As a fan of the brand, it was an honor to partner with them on this limited-edition version and it was fun getting to be creative in a new way. Cameron Weiss, certified master watchmaker and founder of Weiss Watch Company, which moved from Los Angeles to Middle Tennessee in 2020, says that the collaboration is the first time the company has partnered with a Nashvillian. “I love it when clients come to me and want to be creative,” Cameron says. “Chase is a really multifaceted guy: he’s not just a songwriter, or just a former football star. He’s a true creative and a real outdoorsman. We both love to fly fish and spend time outside the city.”

The limited collaboration consists of only 50 timepieces in a closed series. Designed together with Rice, the unique 42mm model features a unique, Carolina blue dial color plus custom athletic font numerals with lume on a tan suede strap. The special edition stainless steel packaging features a high polished bezel and brushed case.

A best-seller reimagined, the Chase Rice Edition is a limited edition take on the 42mm Standard Issue Field Watch, which was first launched in 2013. Redesigned with core customers and their lifestyle in mind, the Standard Issue Field Watch features timelessly modern details like sapphires, hand-painted naval brass and hand-stitched suede straps. Hand-finished and assembled by hand, each fully mechanical movement is a manually wound Caliber 1001-2 that won’t miss a beat. While the 42mm Standard Issue Field Watch is a tried-and-true staple, the redesigned timepiece takes things up a notch with hand finished details such as in-house machined stainless steel cases, luxurious sapphire crystals and black oxide treated steel hands. Plus, each dial is machined with one solid piece of naval brass hand-painted for maximum legibility and Weiss’s staple hand-stitched tan suede strap is added for lightweight comfort.
