Annie Bosko's Sultry "Neon Baby" Third Most-Added at Country Radio

Following her first release for Benny Brown’s Stone Country Records, singer/songwriter Annie Bosko’s sultry “Neon Baby” is the third most-added song at Country radio today, Nov. 6. Listen to the track, along with recently released “Boots On,” HERE.

“I’m so excited ‘Neon Baby’ is my radio single,” shares Bosko. “It’s such a feel-good song, and I think it’s a different sound and message, especially coming from a female. I loved embracing my romantic side and featuring the dreamy lap steel guitar. It’s got a lot of soul and a little throwback with a modern twist.”

Written by Bosko with Jeffrey Steele (Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts The Most,” Tim McGraw’s “The Cowboy In Me”) and Bridgette Tatum (Jason Aldean’s “She’s Country”), and working with producers Derek George and Mickey Jack Cones, “Neon Baby” entices listeners with the California native’s flare for neo-traditional twang, a fitting conduit for its playful and flirty lyrics:

      I’ll be your neon baby
      I’ll drive you midnight crazy
I’ll hit your lips like whiskey
When you lean in to kiss me
Put that whiskey down and kiss me again and again
      Turn me on
      I’ll be your neon, baby

Bosko made her Grand Ole Opry debut Sept. 30 among dates opening for Tim McGraw and Dwight Yoakam and is set to perform at several prominent festivals in 2024. With her radio tour well underway, she has shared her “fearless” pure-country sound and edge-of-your-seat songwriting with stations across the country.

Among recent visits, Ashley Morrison from WFUS-Tampa Bay shared, “When you meet Annie and spend time with her voice you’ll wonder where the heck she’s been – I learned she’s been spending years with other impressive creators but her vocal range and musical abilities leave you wanting more. I’m excited that country radio and listeners are being introduced to her. She’s incredibly personable and exudes the confidence you’d expect from an artist who’s been in the spotlight for decades.”

Having performed the National Anthem countless times for events across NASCAR, NFL, NBA, MLB and more, Bosko will sing the anthem next month on Dec. 11 for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.

About Annie Bosko
With a voice that beams like a ray of California sunshine, Stone Country Records/Brown Sellers Brown singer-songwriter Annie Bosko pairs a sound anchored deep in the organic twang of ‘90s country with simple songs told from the heart, preaching equal parts healing and honky-tonk hope. A student of legendary crooners like Patsy Cline with added inspiration from Shania Twain, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, The Beatles and more, the Golden State native broke out in 2014 with the SiriusXM/CMT hit “Crooked Halo,” bucking the bro-country trend for a traditionally flavored anthem that has now amassed more than 3 million streams. She went on to write songs recorded by Willie Nelson and Jessica Simpson, tour alongside Tim McGraw, Dierks Bentley and Blake Shelton, sell out the famed Troubadour and perform on the Grand Ole Opry and at Ryman Auditorium – the fabled Mother Church of Country Music – while also becoming an in-demand studio vocalist and earning the title Artist to Watch from Rolling Stone Country. After a series of standout collaborations with country icons Vince Gill, Dwight Yoakam and Raul Malo, she is now embracing her true nature for a creative rejuvenation. Working with producers Derek George and Mickey Jack Cones, a new batch of music pairs unapologetic twang, clever wordplay, and deep compassion with her longstanding downhome-diva vocal, capturing the full range of a timeless American art in its purest form. In 2023, Bosko released the powerful-yet-tender ballad “Dandelions” in memory of the victims of Nashville’s Covenant School shooting – a track written alongside Danny Myrick which has now become a beacon of community remembrance and faith. Lost in grief and capturing the reverberating shock of that day’s unfathomable loss, the track has been embraced by the Covenant School families themselves, with all proceeds from being donated for their benefit through ACM Lifting Lives. Looking ahead, Bosko will continue to release sharp-yet-simple, pure-country songs written or co-written with hit makers like Jeffrey Steele, Bridgette Tatum and more, all aimed at uplifting, inspiring or just singing along with women and country-music lovers everywhere.
