Miranda Lambert's MuttNation Foundation Helps Provide 2 Million Pet Meals To Keep Families and Pets Together

Reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation is helping to provide 2 million pet meals to help families who are facing economic hardships stay together with their pets. The donation of pet meals is in partnership with Greater Good Charities via the global nonprofit’s GOODS Program.

“During times of crisis, it’s important to keep families and their pets together,” said Lambert. “We are proud to partner with Greater Good Charities and hope our GOODS Program donation will help families and their pets stay united in their homes during these challenging times.”

The GOODS Program operates on a hub and spoke model, delivering product to pre-vetted and trained Ambassador groups who then distribute the product to local end recipient groups in need. This donation will be delivered to more than 30 GOODS Ambassadors with pet food pantries in over 30 cities to assist families in need. The GOODS Program works to help 9,000+ animal welfare organizations across the nation that provide this essential service to their communities. In addition to helping homeless pets, the GOODS Program helps families facing economic hardships, homeless populations, veterans, domestic violence survivors and victims of disaster through thousands of additional charitable partners. The donation marks the latest in ongoing charitable contributions from MuttNation. In August, the Foundation also provided financial support to more than a dozen animal shelters that took in nearly 4,000 beagles removed from a research facility in Virginia. The Foundation’s support was earmarked to assist with medical bills to help shelters ready the beagles for adoption. The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), which has led the removal of the beagles since the Justice Department announced an agreement in July with Envigo RMS to surrender the dogs, announced on Sept. 2 that the remaining 312 dogs had been removed from the research facility.

Already named among the best albums of the year by TIME, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Stereogum and more, it marks the latest installment in a storied career that has spanned seven previous No. 1 solo albums, 10 No. 1 hit radio singles, more than 70 prestigious awards and countless sales certifications, earning the reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year praise from NPR as “the most riveting country star of her generation.”

Set to kick off her headlining Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Zappos Theater this Friday, Sept. 23, the top streaming female Country artist of 2022 was also named to the 2022 TIME100 list honoring the world’s most influential people, with Pitchfork declaring that she “manages the hat-trick of both timelessness and timely activism.” Whether challenging conventional gender notions in her recent Top 10 hit “If I Was A Cowboy” or using her voice to write and record the inclusive “Y’All Means All” anthem for the latest season of Netflix’s “Queer Eye,” the Texas native continues to expand the tent of the Country genre via her music, including current single “Strange.”
