Band of Horses take over The Paramount,NY

On February 6, 2024, music enthusiasts gathered at The Paramount in Huntington to witness the dynamic performance by Band of Horses. The venue, known for its historic charm, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of captivating melodies.

Before the band took the stage the audience was shown the mood of the acoustic set, by the stage set up. With candles placed everywhere, the stage looked like you were in grandma’s house.

Ben Bridwell took the stage and let us know he was under the weather but was gonna give it his all. Solo he began the set and seemed that it was going to be a great show.

The rest of the band joined him for a fantastic set of acoustic songs. I highly recommend checking out their Acoustic at the Rhyman live album to check the vibe.

Band of Horses took a quick break, while the stage crew transformed the stage from grandma’s house to Rock stage.

July 23, 2023 - The Just like Home tour rolled into Huntington, Long Island at The Paramount with special guest Koyo, I Am The Avalanche and Neil Rubenstein. With this line-up the venue filled up quickly and every band brought their A game.

With this short run of shows Bayside showed why they have been around for 21 years. Just tearing down venues. This was a great opportunity to see the band in an intimate setting before they hit the huge festival stages.

CYNIC celebrated their 30th anniversary of 'Focus' by playing the whole album. Joining Paul Masvidal on stage are guitarist Max Phelps (Exist, Death to All), bassist Brandon Giffin (The Faceless, The Zenith Passage), drummer Matt Lynch (Nova Collective, Intronaut) and keyboardist Zeke Kaplan. They'll also paid tribute to late members Sean Reinert and Sean Malone.     

As soon as the band’s entourage pulled out the banners the crowd erupted and they stayed that way thru their set. The band also played one of their newest songs “In a multiverse where atoms sing” off their latest Ascension Codes.

ATHEIST also celebrating their 30th anniversary performed songs from their first three albums, including some that they haven't performed in decades. Man how did I sleep on this band back in the day.. They Killed it with their thrash metal style mixing in some funky fusion. I ran out and bought Piece of Time (1990) , Unquestionable Presence (1991) and Elements (1993) the next day. The stage show was non stop movement, except for the Jagerbomb shot.

May 20th, 2023 Gramercy Theatre NYC. Every time a tour comes to an end you really never know what to expect - will it be somber cause the bands didn’t get along or will it be a fun a boisterous event. So glad we got the latter!

Within each set other band members came on stage and lightly sabotaged their set. Playing corn hole, cowboy hats and umbrellas were just a tip of what went on. With all the fun it was the music that really got everyone together.

Bury Tomorow’s first time on tour again since 2010 was more than enough plus a new album to match, “The Seventh Sun” from Music for Nations. It was a killer night!

The Black Dahlia Murder tore up Irving Plaza with Terror , Frozen Soul , Fuming Mouth and Phobophilic

Having not being able to catch them at The Metal and Beer Fest in Philly, I was so lucky to see them in NYC .

Touring their newest album Verminous. The Verminous Remnant Tour lasts until September.

Starting with the title track and finishing with Deathmask Divine The band had total control of the crowd throughout.

What better way to start the weekend then with an amazing show from Austin Meade. On tour supporting his newest album, “Abstract Art of an Unstable Mind”. Austin and his bandmates killed it! I’m glad I was able to catch him at the Mercury Lounge’s intimate setting, because this band is hitting a great stride and bigger venues. Below are some photos from the night.

Thy Art is Murder ends their Decade of Hate U.S. Tour at Stereo Gardens, LI

Showcasing the ten year release of their album “Hate”. Thy Art is Murder took out Kublai Khan, I Am, Justice for the Damned and Undeath on a 26 date tour of the United States.

Ending March 11, 2023 at Stereo Gardens, Long Island NY, before heading over to Europe.

The crowd lined up for blocks on a brisk but sunny early Saturday evening. The doors opened and everyone vied for a spot on the pit floor. Justice for the Damned opened the night with I Am, Undeath, Kublai Khan following leading up to the mighty Thy Art is Murder who closed the show.

Parkway Drive , Memphis May Fire and Currents Invade The Paramount , NY

Since the cancelled 2022 tour and the release of their 7th album “Darker Still “, fans have been patiently waiting for Parkway Drive to come back to North America.
