Skillet brings the Still Screaming tour with Escape The Fate and Autumn Kings to Long Island

On a cool, rainy Sunday night at The Paramount Huntington,NY. Skillet celebrated 20 years of their album Comatose and the faithful came despite the weather to celebrate also. I am not sure who decides the songs played in-between bands but they knew this crowd and the audience sang over the PA system, pure excitement for everyone. The Band entered the stage with a roar from the audience and rang into “Rebirthing” everything was going full tilt so much that on the 3rd song “better then drugs” the band blew the stage PA into silence. After a quick 5 minute break to get everything back and running, the band left off when the power went out and continued on to assault us with the Comatose album. Not a band to just rest on what brought them to this point, they played a new song “Scream” from After The Storm their newest album to be released October 9th.This was truly a set where the band and audience were one.

Escape The Fate entered the stage with “paranoia” from their just released album The Last Goodbye.Watching the guys perform there was a magic and coehisiveness that you see when a band is truly themselves. PLaying a handle full of songs from the new album might of sent fans to the bathroom but not these songs. Fitting perfectingly with their standards such as “One for the Money” and “This war is ours”.For most of us the set was too short but was expected as an opener.

The honor of starting the night sometimes means low attendance but not tonight the crowd came early and continued to fill the theater as their set went on. Autumn KIngs Brought the energy and the crowd responded. The set consisted entirely (exception of Power) from the newest album Epiphanies. Even though they have been together awhile their momentive is really starting to build.Don’t sleep on this band!
