“I live too fast to die young, it ain’t nothing when your head’s screwed on,” roars the Crown Prince of exciting, electric frontmen Michael Monroe, on his second album for Silver Lining Music. I Live Too Fast To Die Young, and let that be a victory cry of truth. In an era where pandemics and war are seamless bookends to a continually crazy society, Monroe & co decided to get together in December 2021 to follow up 2019’s critically acclaimed One Man Gang with 11 street-walking’, jive talking’, strutting ‘n’ swaggering procklamations that double down and deliver on that title.

At a time when fun has been hard to feel, I Live Too Fast To Die Young is lean, mean, raw power rock ‘n’ roll music, with cracking cuts such as “Young Drunks & Old Alcoholics”, “All Fighter” and the punky fun of "Murder The Summer Of Love” showing crisp electricity and melodies which wrap their shimmering selves around some razor sharp riffs. There are also expansive, Stones-tinged saunters such as “Can’t Stop Falling Apart” and “Everybody’s Nobody”, while the title track takes aim between your eyes off a driving back-beat with a defiant chorus dripping with Monroe’s irrepressible attitude.

“This album has a great combination and balance of songs, and the collection tells a great overall story,” says Monroe, who became internationally famous as frontman of the enormously influential Hanoi Rocks in the early ‘80s, “it has a lot of colour and energy, and of course it is rock ’n’ roll, but punk is also always going to be a part of who we are, that will never die."

Recorded at Inkfish Studios in Helsinki, Finland between November and December 2021 and produced by the band with engineer Erno Laitinen, the album features Monroe on lead vocals and harmonica, Steve Conte (guitars and vocals), Rich Jones (guitar, vocals), Karl Rockfist (drums) and Sami Yaffa (bass/vocals/guitar) as well as enjoying several guests including Guns N’ Roses guitar legend Slash, who solos and provides additional guitars on the title track.

With I Live Too Fast To Die Young, it is clear Michael Monroe is striding into the summer with a triumphant roar to offer you the real rock ‘n' roll escape of 2022.

Cycles is the latest album of work by Irish composer Jules Maxwell whose music has featured at London's National Theatre, The Royal Opera House, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre and The Roundhouse. Most recently he has been working with the band Dead Can Dance and in 2021 he released a critically acclaimed album entitled Burn with singer Lisa Gerrard.

Cycles is an exquisite album of meditative instrumental music. It is quiet and circular in nature but deeply atmospheric and dramatic at moments.

Cycles will be released on Friday 25th March on Berlin based label Ghost Palace. A limited double vinyl edition will also be available featuring the Cycles album and it's predecessor Nocturnes.

A Rose on the Road

This is the focus track for the album's release on 25th March 2022

Jules Maxwell is a multi-instrumentalist composer and songwriter. He plays keyboards for Australian band Dead Can Dance and in May 2021 released a critically acclaimed album with Lisa Gerrard, entitled Burn.

In 2021 he also released Nocturnes on Archangelo Recordings - a beautifully melancholic collection of instrumental pieces, much of it written in collaboration with the UK dance company Vincent Dance Theatre.

He composed 4 songs for Le Mystére des Voix Bulgares 2018 album Boocheemish and the song First of July which appeared on Foy Vance’s debut album Hope. Jules has also collaborated with Duke Special on numerous recordings, shows and projects including the 2009 National Theatre production of Mother Courage directed by Deborah Warner.

He has worked often with theatre artist Mark Storor on projects at London's Roundhouse as well as in ice cream vans, warehouses and schools.

His work at Shakespeare’s Globe, includes the 2016 production of The Merchant of Venice starring Jonathan Pryce and the 2017 production of Boudica starring Gina McKee.

He has created modern dance soundtracks for Wayne McGregor, Cathy Marston, Vincent Dance Theatre, Bern Ballet, Skanes Dansteater Malmö, Jasmin Vardimon and Candoco Dance Company and in 2019 his debut full length opera The Lost Thing was presented by the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

He has released 5 albums of his own eclectic material over the years and in 2022 will be releasing a second volume of piano instrumentals entitled Cycles on the Ghost Palace label.

Jules Maxwell is originally from Ireland but currently lives in London with his wife and young son.

Oakland alt-rock / metal project OTHERED presents debut single 'Journey To The Edge'

Oakland-based duo Othered present their hard-hitting debut single 'Journey To The Edge', a heavy rock / metal anthem replete with signs of our times. On April 15, the duo will be releasing their full eponymous album on limited edition vinyl and digitally.

Othered is a collaborative recording project by Henry Austin Lannan and Emily Palen (a.k.a. Knightress M1). Based in the San Francisco Bay Are, this powerhouse project also weaves doom, metal and psychedelic prog--rock throughout their music

'Othered Vol. 1' was born out of sheer necessity to create amidst a complete disruption to normality as a result of the 2020 pandemic and lockdowns. Lyrically, the album is a call for independent thought, soul maintenance and critical discernment in a time when a war on human consciousness is being waged.

"This song is the conclusion to the thesis that humans are powerful and beautiful beyond measure. We each hold transmutational power and when we step back into our personal truth and unique expression, we access that power. There is a lot of conscious information coming through lit up humans on the planet right now and this song is my way of funneling the conscious information that comes through me," says Emily Palen.

"All of us contain irreplaceable love and we forget that in the midst of this cruel culture that is being developed around us. When we remember our humanity, the pulse in our hearts, the dreams in our soul, the beauty of the images we see at twilight, we will know that was is ours, can never truly be taken. The lies will fall away, the distortions will be clear as day and we will see what must be done."

Henry Austin Lannan and Emily Palen met by chance through Specimen Box, Lannan's collaborative music project with Larry Boothroyd (Jello Biafra and GSM, Victim's Family, Triclops!). Upon hearing one of Austin's demos, Larry introduced him to Emily, who created a vocal composition that led to this fruitful collaboration, based on songs written in the midst of the 2020 lockdown.

After recording numerous demos at Austin's home studio, they eventually recorded this long-player at El Studio in San Francisco with Phil Becker (drummer of Triclops!, Terry Gross, Pins of Light and Lower Forty-Eight) serving as producer and engineer.

"2020 was a fucked up year. A profound sense of isolation permeated daily life along with rampant fear and a consistent general feeling of unease. The sounds, words and tone of this record are both inspired by those negative emotions and an attempt to counter the despair and hopelessness many of us felt throughout the year," says Henry Austin Landan.

On April 15, 'Othered Vol. 1' will be released digitally across online platforms and also available as a limited edition of gold-colored vinyl. Only 150 copies are being pressed with heavy-weight gloss stock jacket and black card stock insert printed in silver and gold ink. The album can be ordered directly from the artist via Bandcamp.

That same evening, Othered will host their official record release show at Eli's Mile High Club in Oakland, at which Nudity and Very Paranoia will also be performing.

Music label COP International Records is pleased to announce the release of “Come Together (We Will Stop You),” a new single by the supergroup Lifeline International that features an all-star lineup of alternative rock musicians.

Created as a “mission of humanity” to help the millions of people who are suffering in Ukraine and beyond, this modern spin on The Beatles’ classic “Come Together” is the brainchild of COP International Records founder Christian Petke and the legendary music producer John Fryer. The single is now available for purchase on COP International’s Bandcamp page, and will soon be followed by other major digital music services, with 100% of the proceeds will donated to UNICEF.

“This song is a simple and direct message to the millions of people who are currently suffering in Ukraine and beyond,” said Petke. “You are not alone. We see you.”

Added Fryer, “I’m shocked, stunned, dismayed, angry, horrified and saddened by the situation in Ukraine. I don’t how one man’s insane ego can cause this much death and destruction.”

Petke and Fryer, both of whom were born in Europe, were inspired by the multi-faceted and forward-thinking work that Bob Geldof once did to raise money for the African famine in the mid-80’s.

“The success of songs like ‘We Are the World’ and ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ directly spawned the Live Aid concerts, which raised millions of dollars for those who desperately needed it,” explained Petke. “So, while we are obviously excited about this new song’s immediate ability to raise awareness and money, we’d like to think that ‘Come Together’ is only the first step of many. The simple act of supporting one song can help spread a message of hope and compassion around the entire world.”

John Fryer, who has worked with such seminal musical artists as Depeche Mode, Nine Inch Nails, Stabbing Westward, This Mortal Coil, and Cocteau Twins, was in charge of the music end of the project. After sketching out the track with Stephen Lam of Deathline International, Fryer enlisted friends Geno Lenardo(ex-Filter), Rod Såez Chåvez and Marija Buljeta to help him coordinate an all-star cast of musicians from bands such as Faith No More, Stabbing Westward, Rammstein, The Hardkiss (from Ukraine), Revolting Cocks, Filter, Pigface, The Joy Thieves, Agnostic Front, Basement Jaxx, Gravity Kills, The Cassandra Complex, Mesh, blackcarburning, Deathline International, Vaselyne and Black Needle Noise.

The idea of recording a song for this purpose immediately resonated strongly with many of the musicians who were asked to participate. Vocalist Chris Connelly (solo artist/Ministry/Pigface/The Joy Thieves) wanted to be a part of “Come Together” so badly that he recorded and sent his vocals for the song within 24 hours of receiving the instrumental track, despite fighting COVID-19 at the time. “The establishment has failed the people and acted like a spoiled child with a box of matches and a Slurpee cup full of gasoline,” said Connelly. “We musicians will do what we do best, COME TOGETHER and play LOUD! We will carry the torch. Not because it's ‘trendy,’ or we are ‘draft-dodging longhairs,’ but because it is the right thing, and it is what we HAVE!”

Jeff Scheel from Gravity Kills added, “As an American, and a citizen of the world, I initially felt like I didn’t have the means to make a difference all by myself. But contributing to this project feels like a way that I can truly help the people around the world who are suffering.”

Celebrating over 25 years of metal mastery, EVERGREY, led by founder, singer and guitarist Tom S. Larger than life, capable of summoning “all his rowdy friends” with a couple crashing downbeats and a blaring guitar riff, Hank Williams, Jr. has been one of country music’s truest outlaws for over half a century. But more than the swaggering singles, roughneck fantasy videos or relentless sense of blue-collar boogie, at his core, the 72-year-old legend is a bluesman. Pure, unqualified and unadulterated, the only son of Hank Williams has the same down low lonesome in his veins as the man Rufus “Tee-Tot” Payne taught to play guitar as a small child growing up in Greenville, Alabama.

With Rich White Honky Blues – set for release on June 17 – the second-generation Country Music Hall of Famer makes good on his legacy with a turpentine and rough wood take on the hill country blues that informed his father’s raw-boned style of putting his pain out there. GRAMMY-winning Producer of the Year Dan Auerbach recorded the set live, with a dozen songs reprising classics from Robert Johnson, Lightnin’ Hopkins, R.L. Burnside, Muddy Waters, Big Joe Turner and a few from Bocephus himself.

“The blues is where it all comes from,” concedes Williams. “It’s the start of everything musical in my family; everything starts with Tee-Tot and flows from there. I’ve always flirted with this stripped back blues – all the way back to the ‘80s. But I finally made an album that’s just that, and I like it.”

Blame it on the owner of Easy Eye Sound. Auerbach went straight to the essence. Assembling a wicked core band of electric slide guitarist Kenny Brown, claimed as “my adopted son” by R.L. Burnside, bassist Eric Deaton, who first toured with Fat Possum’s Juke Joint Caravan, backing up T-Model Ford and Paul “Wine” Jones, plus drummer Kinney Kimbrough, son of North Mississippi blues legend Junior Kimbrough, they tapped into the lifeblood of the blues at its most randy.

It started with a phone call, discussing what these sessions could be. Nothing definitive, no commitments made. But then Auerbach started receiving text messages the week leading up to the dates: pictures of Hank Williams, Jr. stationery, each with the title of a song he wanted to sing. Back and forth. Songs. Influences. Touchstones to draw upon.

And then it was Day One.

“First thing he said to me when he walked in was, ‘I don’t really feel like fucking with this shit!’,” Auerbach recalls. “And he walked into another room.”

Undaunted, the producer had the band start playing; grindhouse blues, sweltering hill country shuffles, juke joint altar calls. Before too long, the man whose alter-ego is Thunderhead Hawkins emerged, curious and hungry.

“If you wanted to play this kind of music, you couldn’t have better players,” Auerbach explains. “The first time I ever saw Hank Jr. on TV, I was a kid raised on Robert Johnson and Hank Williams, Sr. records, and those things came through so clearly watching him. So, I tried to assemble the right parts to just sit in that piece of who he is.”

Over the course of just three days, Rich White Honky Blues was done, with Williams punctuatingly declaring “I hope you got all of that. I bet YOU did. I’m going to listen – and smoke...”

As Williams prepares for the release of his 57th studio album, his family has been struck by tragedy with the sudden passing of his wife of 31 years, Mary Jane Thomas. While Williams considered delaying the project’s announcement, time with his family led to one conclusion: music offers solace in the most difficult times.

In this sense, it seems almost predestined that Rich White Honky Blues ends with a prayer for redemption as Williams invites the Savior to bring whatever grace He might have, to sow solace and forgiveness, suggesting the larger than life amongst us transcend mortal limitations. After all, Country blues informed his father’s raw-boned style of putting his pain out there, epitomizing the unquestionable truth that there is always a time for music in moments of need.

Last month, Malevolence announced their highly anticipated new album 'Malicious Intent' (out 20th May) with blazing first single 'On Broken Glass', marking their place amongst metal’s heavyweights. ABOUT MALEVOLENCE

The undisputed Heavy Metal Kings of the UK.

In early 2020 came the highly anticipated EP release, The Other Side, introducing a brand-new side of Malevolence. Although only 3 tracks, each song showcased a depth and diversity that is uncommon in modern metal. The trek will kick off on April 7 in Charleston, SC and will conclude on June 5 in Asheville, NC. The band will be supported by REBELMATIC and ADAM FAUCETT from April 7- April 24 and then will be supported by HTSOB & JD PINKUS from May 17 until June 3. DEE SNIDER Reveals "Stand (for Ukraine)" Awareness Music Video, Launches World United Live Support Campaign

Legendary heavy metal vocalist DEE SNIDER recently announced his steadfast support of the people of Ukraine using Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as their battle cry anthem, and within just days, became heavily involved at the forefront of World United Live. The platform operates with the goal of raising awareness that may otherwise be shielded from the Russian people, to digitally, simultaneously protest in support of Ukraine, and to eventually coordinate the world's largest aid concert to help them rebuild.

Today, in support of World United Live's initiatives and the people of Ukraine, DEE SNIDER released a brand new, re-worked music video for his Leave A Scar track "Stand", specially renamed "Stand (with Ukraine)". The video, featuring various pieces of current sourced footage, can be viewed here via www.worldunited.live now.

DEE SNIDER tells the story in his own words:

"About a month ago, someone on social media told me people in Ukraine were using Twisted Sister's "We're Not Gonna Take It" as a battle cry and asked if I was cool with it. Of course I was. My response elicited someone asking me why I was okay with Ukrainians using my song and not some other groups. I won't repeat my exact response (it was a bit political), but that tweet went internationally viral. Every news agency in the world suddenly wanted to talk to me.

At that very moment, some great people (who were all friends of mine) were hatching the idea for World United Live and asked me if I would spearhead the organization. How could I say no? Since then, we have been beating the drum for the free world to come together, not only in support of Ukraine and condemnation of Putin, but in sending a message to the Russian people that they are misinformed and not being told the truth. Now, with the help of the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and many others, we are doing just that!

About a week ago, it hit me that the song "Stand" from my last Napalm Records album, Leave a Scar, fit the crisis in Ukraine perfectly... but I had already released a video for "Stand" recently. Yet I just couldn't get around how well the lyrics resonated with Putin's attack on these innocent people. Ukraine was the furthest thing from my mind when I wrote the words for that song, yet it was like I had done just that. So, I had a couple of incredibly talented people (Scott Pitek and Steve Sage Goldberg) cut together a new video using some live concert footage and news clips. The result is devastating. With the recent release of six-song EP Where Phones Don’t Work, Texas troubadour Wade Bowen offered fans a glimpse at his first new solo music in over three years, driven by a renewed sense of focus and passion inspired by his time off the road. Now, with a return to his ferocious touring schedule fully underway, Bowen embraced the sense of community in Nashville that played such an important role in creating that new music.

Following opening sets by his friends (and renowned singer/songwriters) Rhett Akins and Lee Roy Parnell, Bowen took the stage at the storied club with “Sun Shines on a Dreamer” before performing a new song from his latest EP, “Where We Call Home.” Over the next hour-plus, Bowen treated fans to his most popular songs as well as beloved album cuts, including “Who I Am,” “Mood Ring,” “West Texas Rain,” current single “Phones Don’t Work” and more.

The man praised by MusicRow as “perennially popular” and an artist who “can always be counted on for country excellence” had stopped by WSM’s “Coffee, Country & Cody” a day earlier to preview the show, remarking that he likes to treat his performances like a family gathering: “My stage is everyone’s stage.”

Keeping true to that sentiment, Bowen not only invited Akins and Parnell back up to join him –with the collaborative moments creating a jam-session feel in the intimate venue during songs such as Parnell’s “On the Road” and Akins’ “That Ain’t My Truck” – but he also had a few surprises up his sleeve.

Not only did Bowen bring Charlie Worsham to the stage; after seemingly closing out the set with his ever-poplar “Saturday Night,” Bowen also invited his Texas compatriot and reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year Miranda Lambert out, thrilling the crowd with a rendition of Keith Whitley’s classic “Miami My Amy.”

The stage was full of friends as the night came to a celebratory close, punctuating the evening with an all-sing of Merle Haggard’s “Ramblin’ Fever.”

Ferocious and uncompromising in their execution, CARCASS’s ability to intricately dissect the innards of death metal, and display them for us to sonically understand has been their point of excellence for over three decades. In 2019 the band released their first single in over 5 years “Under The Scalpel Blade,” followed by a 4 song EP entitled Despicable (October 2020), setting a potent precedent for the full length album coming in September: "Torn Arteries." With the album title itself referencing an old demo created by original drummer Ken Owen back in the 80’s, "Torn Arteries" sits as a bookend on the modern side of the CARCASS discography, connecting directly back to where everything began over 30 years ago.

The album artwork also rings reminiscent of the grotesque photography that appears on classic CARCASS album covers like "Reek Of Putrefaction" of "Symphonies of Sickness." Artist Zbigniew Bielak traveled outside his normal wheelhouse to bring forth a time lapsed set of photos showing vegetables shaped like a heart, rotting over time upon a white plate. This form of artwork was influenced by Japanese Kusôzu, meaning: ‘painting of the nine stages of a decaying corpse.’

“It’s very clean, white, which we’ve never done before,” explains vocalist and bassist Jeff Walker, “it doesn’t look evil, or typically death metal, but I like how clean it is; almost like a coffee table book.” This new album presents images, lyrics, and sounds that so distinctly scream CARCASS, but ferry us into a new era of production, songwriting, and art all together.

“I think as our 7th album, it does stand out from the others both sonically and stylistically,” says Walker. “You can definitely tell that it’s CARCASS; when you drop that needle on the vinyl, when you hear that guitar tone, you can tell it’s Bill Steer, but each album is always a product of its time.”

With "Torn Arteries," each track stands unique from the rest in its approach to guitar, bass, vocals and drumming, along with all the finer details. Filthy and dominating guitar work creates thick layers of tone and melody, piling on top of each other like the weight of dead flesh in tracks like “Kelly’s Meat Emporium.”

“The working title for Kelly’s was originally ‘Stock Carcass,’” laughs Walker. “We knew that one was a real meat and potatoes track for the album.” Meanwhile the elevated speed and catchy beat in “Dance of Ixtab” tell a robust and airier story, one that is certain to get a reaction from live crowds. “We built this song around the beat. We had an approach to each song that was a definite idea. It’s all about ‘what haven’t we done before?’”

Recording and Production for "Torn Arteries" wasn’t as simple as sitting down for a few weeks and knocking it all out, but rather spread out over the course of approximately 1 year bouncing back and forth between England and Sweden. Initially, drummer Daniel Wilding did session work in Sweden at Studio Gröndahl with David Castillo while guitars were recorded at The Stationhouse with James Atkinson in Leeds, England. Eventually needing some form of residential location to finalize vocals, bass, and other guitarwork, the band headed back to studio Gröndahl in Sweden to continue work in a very relaxed atmosphere with Castillo. “There was no real big plan to do it this way, the process just organically grew on its own,” says Walker.

Most will find that the only real struggle when indulging in "Torn Arteries" is fighting the desire to start it over the second it finishes. It covers substantial new ground for a band with such a reputation, while still retaining that addictive, time honored CARCASS sound that has come to represent the face of true death metal.

High-vibing EDM / dance pop outfit The Keplerians will be releasing their new 'Spaceship Earth' EP on March 25 via Portuguese label Blim Records. A futuristic ride into cosmic dance territory, this high-energy three-track offering is supercharged with punch, positivity and a sense of adventure. The title track presents its first taste.

The Keplerians are RR 14-775 and RF 14-703, whose technology has allowed them to perform, produce and mix their own EP from their mothercraft in Lisbon, Portugal. The visitors also present another gift to Earthlings - the 'Casa' livestream, broadcast from their mothership, on which they channel stellar goodness from their recently released 'Casa' EP.

On this planetary love-song, these astral visitors have issued a united statement, "This song was inspired by the famous words of Marshall McLuhan - “There are no passengers on spaceship Earth. We are all crew”. This quote, featured in our track 'Spaceship Earth', was our starting point for composing this EP, following the same concept as our first one: spreading awareness about the need to preserve and conserve planet Earth, to remind earthlings that they have a beautiful, unique and epic Home that needs to be loved and cherished… and while we do this, why not also make them dance?"

Indeed, on this EP, The Keplerians deliver a powerful message while kicking up an electronic storm of good vibes and a desire to move one's body, influenced by such artists as Daft Punk, Woodkid, The Chemical Brothers, Chromeo, Kool & The Gang, Modjo and Jamiroquai, as well as Hans Zimmer.

Now for the backstory: Two inhabitants of the planet Kepler-452b (KOI-7016.01) set out on a leisure trip through outer space but end up having problems with their ship's geolocation system. After several fix attempts, they finally manage to solve the problem and their ship takes them back home. However, as the ship re-enters the atmosphere, they realize that it is not their planet... but a planet very similar to theirs, and which they later discover is called "Earth". They discover that its inhabitants have a similar appearance to them, and they seize the chance to take turns discovering more about this new world.

During this discovery trip, they find something wonderful created by the earthlings, called “Music”. From their understanding, it seems to be a peculiar way of expressing feelings. At the same time, it’s also embedded in complex mathematical operations, exploring an acoustic vibration phenomenon they call "sound”. Deeply passionate about this discovery, they decide to dedicate themselves to it, expressing what they are feeling in this new world through the language of music.

Their passions then extend to Earth's entire ecosystem - its fauna and flora, society and the interactions of its human inhabitants. All of these factors inspire them deeply. From their secret contact with this new world arises a global perception of life on planet Earth, as well as the need to leave a message for all Humans before returning to their planet: "Love your planet because it is your home".

As of March 25, the 'Spaceship Earth' EP will be available across online stores and streaming services, including Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal and Deezer. It can also be ordered directly from the artist via Bandcamp.

American heavy metal band LORDS OF THE TRIDENT have released the fifth single from their upcoming studio album, 'The Offering'. The new track, titled "Carry The Weight", is out today and accompanied by a full-band playthrough video.

Talking about "Carry The Weight", vocalist Fang VonWrathenstein comments:

"The playthrough video for 'Carry the Weight' was originally envisioned as a drum-only playthrough. That version still exists and will be coming out for Patreon backers soon, but ultimately I'm glad we added the rest of the band. Enjoy the surprise at the end!"

ENSLAVED RELEASE "BOUNDED BY ALLEGIANCE - LIVE" VIDEO/SINGLE

Left-field metal luminaries ENSLAVED are proud to reveal their single and video for "Bounded by Allegiance - Live." The track, which originally comes from their ground-breaking album "Isa" (2004), sees a live recording of a new avant-garde interpretation, with nuanced accompaniment by fellow psychedelic Norwegian prog band Shaman Elephant. This extraordinary performance took place on last year's Winter Solstice, via the stunning streaming event "The Otherworldly Big Band Experience."

Frontman Grutle Kjellson stated,
"So here’s a little memory from last year’s musical endeavor. Our 'Big Band' collaboration with Shaman Elephant was such a trip! It felt like, and indeed it was, an avalanche of locked up energy just bursting out. The streamed concert plus a small tour in Norway was pretty much the only shows we did in 2021, so the energy level was pretty much turned to 11, on all of us. All nine of us!

'Bounded By Allegiance' was one of the first songs we thought would fit being dressed for a nine man outfit, with its natural percussive nature. We hope we were right, enjoy!”

"The Otherworldly Big Band Experience" was an ENSLAVED show like none other, their biggest, boldest project to date - a colossal, kaleidoscopic stage show featuring a stellar setlist covering their career, both past and present. Including some tracks never previously performed live.

Enslaved's latest EP "Caravans To The Outer Worlds" was released unto the universe last year. It is a tale of departure, about leaving behind a barren and desolate world, traveling boldly into the future. It signaled the end of an era for the psychedelic Norwegians, hinting at new pastures.

Kingsmen Drop 'Trial By Fire'; Brand New Track & Official Music Video

Providence, RI quintet, Kingsmen, have dropped bombastic new single and accompanying music video - "Trial By Fire" today via Sharptone Records. Exhibiting a slight stylistic shift from the band's previous output, the new track exhibits arena-conquering riffing and a phenomenally catchy-but-powerful vocal, courtesy of the clean stylings of frontman Tanner Guimond.

Speaking on "Trial By Fire", Kingsmen frontman Tanner Guimond shares:

"Trial By Fire" was created after we took a full band trip to Gettysburg the day before entering the studio. In December 2020, the world and especially our country seemed extremely divided and tense. Learning about our history and understanding what our past generations of brave men and women endured gave us hope for our future. With that hope, we had an idea. We wanted to create a song that speaks about tension and how tough times can lead to a better future if we can all find a way to come together.

"The music video is full of colors of Red & Blue. We did this to subconsciously highlight that no matter what side of the political/social or economic spectrum you belong to; we all need to merge and come together to create a better future."

Returning with new influences, locations, producers, and creative process compared to their 2020 debut, 'Revenge. Forgiveness. Recovery", things were naturally bound to change. Reflecting on his classical training, frontman, Tanner Guimond even found himself rediscovering a singing voice he felt he had left in the past long ago, but was destined to revisit.

Choosing to return to their roots, the band embrace the fighting spirit at the core of Kingsmen, connecting with listeners through universal themes and lyrical stories ranging from championing positivity to coming together in the face of adversity. Shining light and hope into all they do is something the band has no intention of changing. As Guimond eloquently puts it,

“To be a kingsman is to be someone that has the courage to endure the worst, but still reflect the best parts of humanity. So, with all of our songs, that’s what we try and showcase. There’s no way that anyone will go through life without experiencing some terrible things. But to grow from that… to become a better person after the fact is, we believe, one of the true purposes of life. Maybe someday we’ll do something wild like a concept album with ogres and elves. But we really believe that when you’re conveying your emotions through music, it comes across when you’re being honest. So as often as we can, and as many different ways possible, there’s no doubt that you’ll see a lot more of that kind of attitude through our music in the future.”
