SIAMESE Release Music Video for "Sloboda" - New Album 'Home' Coming December 10th

With their new album, 'Home', only a few weeks away, Copenhagen’s SIAMESE have unleashed one of their most poignant songs to date. Entitled "Sloboda", the track speaks to frontman Mirza Radonjica’s personal experience in the wake of seeking refuge from the Balkan War with his family.

The track is a mixture of Serbian (his mother tongue) and English lyrics, and unleashes monstrous breakdowns alongside mesmerizing vocals. A captivating single with a deeper meaning.

Radonjica elaborates on his experiences which influenced the lyrical content and themes within the song:

"I'm a Muslim refugee of the Nineties Balkan war and one of the first very dramatic things I remember is my whole village standing on the side of the road and crying as they waved us goodbye. We were supposed to go to Sweden but ended up in Denmark because, to be honest, we couldn’t tell the difference.” He goes on to tell us about where the title of the song came from, “I saw my Aunties and Grandmother cry, and I asked my Mum why we had to leave, she told me, “Freedom, son” (sloboda, sine). Little did I know how that freedom would be so bittersweet later on. Living in Denmark, it was difficult to adapt, and throughout my youth I saw how I was looked at differently, even if I was trying hard to be the same. Everything truly comes with a price."

Having recently finished their UK tour with Rain City Drive (prev. Slaves USA) the band received an overwhelming response from fans across all dates. Their profile is constantly growing and they currently have over 250,000 monthly listeners worldwide on Spotify, recently racked up over 1 million streams on the platform in just 4 weeks (their biggest numbers to date).

SIAMESE's highly anticipated new album 'Home' is due for release on December 10th, 2021 via Long Branch Records, featuring hit singles "Enough Ain’t Enough" (feat. Rory Rodriguez), "Can’t Force The Love", "Holy", and the title track "Home" (feat. Drew York).

KHEMMIS RELEASES LONG AWAITED 3RD STUDIO ALBUM "DECEIVER" OUT NOW!

“The most dynamic, poignant album of their career” - Decibel (Dec 2021)
Ranked #2 on Decibel's "Top 40 Albums of 2021"

“Khemmis has struck gold.” -
GhostCultMag.com

"Is Deceiver the best Khemmis album to date? We certainly think so”
- NineCircles.co

Coloradan doomed heavy metal outfit KHEMMIS has released their long awaited new full-length, Deceiver, today with Nuclear Blast! What will likely be considered one of 2021's best metal records by critics, Deceiver, is a beautiful, musically ambitious journey from beginning to end drenched in impassioned melody and complex, unrestrained variations of sonic savagery adorned with chilling, intensely tragic cover art by frequent collaborator Sam Turner. The album digs deep into listener's psyche as it delves into complex themes of mental health and the inner battles of emotional struggles and instability as riffs rain down in a torrential outpouring of cathartic healing.

Purchase/Stream Deceiver now at http://nblast.de/KhemmisDeceiver

Commenting on today's record release the trio states:

"I am filled with gratitude to see Deceiver released worldwide via the mighty Nuclear Blast. This record is the culmination of the darkest days in our lives, both individually and collectively, yet it is also a testament to the power of love and compassion. I am proud to have crafted these songs with my brothers, to share them with all of you, and to hold this record in my hands and feel immense joy from the music contained therein." - Ben Hutcherson (guitar/vocals)

"I couldn't be more proud to finally share this record with the world today. It was a powerful experience writing and recording Deceiver, one that pushed us individually and collectively to contend with our deepest fears and ultimately choose each other, our lives, and our art over pain and disillusionment. I sincerely hope that these songs and the messages they contain can bring a little light to the darkness we all face, and that they might inspire each of us to be a little more vulnerable in our lives, a little more open to recognizing our shared struggles and humanity, despite our differences." - Phil Pendergast (vocals/guitar)

"I’m very excited to unleash the most fully realized record from Khemmis to date. While it was a tough one to conjure, I’m proud of how we were able to fight through a very tough time, come together, and ultimately create something that represents us at this moment. Thank you to everyone who listens and spreads the word." - Zach Coleman (drums)

Restlessly awakening from the depths of a feverish slumber, doomed heavy metal masters KHEMMISreturn to reveal their fourth full length studio album, Deceiver, arriving via Nuclear Blast Records in November 2021. Six tracks of desolate, soul-awakening heaviness encapsulate a project that has been nearly three years in the making. With a title that reflects the internal struggles that many of us battle in our daily lives, Deceiver is a ferociously honest and appetizingly raw piece of musical artistry.

While the lyrical themes of Deceiver, sorrow, pain, longing for hope, will no doubt be familiar to longtime fans, these six songs display a broader collection of musical influences than on any other KHEMMIS record to date. “It being our 4th album, especially after the transition between the last two albums, it felt really freeing. We felt that we could really do anything on this record,” explains drummer Zach Coleman. “There’s a lot here that we’ve never done before,” adds Pendergast. “In some areas it gets darkly psychedelic. I think we found a cool way to mutate things using transitions that feel really natural. There is a subtle symmetry between the first and last songs which is one of the things that makes listening to the full album a satisfying holistic experience. It builds from almost nothing, becomes very dark, and then you slowly crawl out of that lowest circle of hell.”

KHEMMIS’s Deceiver is a beautiful, musically ambitious journey from beginning to end drenched in impassioned melody and complex, unrestrained variations of sonic savagery adorned with chilling, intensely tragic cover art by frequent collaborator Sam Turner.

KHEMMIS is:
Ben Hutcherson (Guitar & Vocals)
Phil Pendergast (Vocals & Guitar)

OBSCURA wrote, recorded, and finalized A Valediction during the pandemic. The stipulations of working during this time allowed OBSCURA to work cross-country, tracking each respective part—drums, guitar, and bass—in national studios across The Netherlands, Austria, and Germany. Once the pieces were completed, the recordings were shipped off to award-winning producer Fredrik Nordström and Studio Fredman (In Flames, Architects) in Gothenburg, Sweden, where Kummerer and Münzner completed vocals and acoustic guitars using custom-built ENGL amps. Nordström was also tapped to mix and master. The final result is a deeper, heavier, yet more rounded production.

Lyrically, A Valediction is layered in structure and meaning. The word ‘valediction,’ by definition, deals with goodbyes and farewells. In a way, this is auf wiedersehen to the four-part album series while also addressing complex topics of Kummerer’s personal life. Instead of obscuring issues of loss, death, and abandonment in metaphor and allusion, the German laid bare his torment across songs like "Forsaken," "Solaris," "In Unity," "The Neuromancer," and "In Adversity." But for every line of desperation, he also offers positivity. Indeed, new beginnings—physical, emotional, or environmental—can provide light in the darkness. Lauded artist Eliran Kantor (Testament, Helloween) was brought on board to visualize the leitmotif. The bronze-themed colorway Kantor used exemplifies OBSCURA’s resistance to individual and sonic corrosion.

Line up:
Steffen Kummerer - vocals & guitar
Christian Münzner - guitars
Jeroen Paul Thesseling - bass
David Diepold - drums

Wade Bowen Releases Six-Song EP "Where Phone Don't Work"

WADE BOWEN SHARES RENEWED SENSE OF HOPE & INSPIRATION VIA SIX-SONG EP, WHERE PHONES DON’T WORK,
AVAILABLE EVERYWHERE NOW

Watch the Official Music Video for Lead Single “When Love Comes Around

A longtime staple of the Texas music scene, Wade Bowen continues to prove that his music can’t be constrained by the state line with today’s release of his highly anticipated six-song EP, Where Phones Don’t Work, via Thirty Tigers and produced by Paul Moak. Listen HERE.

A dozen albums have shown Bowen’s evolution – including six studio sets, two beloved live collections, a gospel album and an ongoing series of buddy-country hits with fellow Texan, Randy Rogers – yet with each distinct piece of art his focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality and constantly reexamining his sonic territory to match his life, as evidenced once again on Where Phones Don’t Work, which sees Bowen as a cowriter on all six songs.

The project opens with the title track, “Phones Don’t Work,” cowritten with Aaron Raitiere and Rhett Akins, a song with a singalong quality born from Bowen’s desire to push himself to write bigger sounding sounds, with the results seemingly tailormade for a long-awaited return to live shows.

Where We Call Home” follows, with the Brad Clawson and Jeremy Bussey cowrite marking a years-in-the-making return to Nashville songwriting sessions for Bowen and celebrating the little things that bring joy in life, from an old Waylon Jennings song to your first car. “Those things are important to me,” says Bowen of the lyrics’ nostalgic details. “Every day, we should find those little gems that bring us comfort and make us take a deep breath and appreciate what we have.”

The Last Town in Texas,” one of two cowrites with Eric Paslay and Heather Morgan on the project,” is championed by Bowen as the song he believes in most from his entire career thus far and also marks the first time he’s namechecked his home state in a song. “I’ve always said I’m an artist from Texas, not a Texas artist,” he explains. “I’ve made it a point not to say Texas in any of my songs. This one was completely different, though, because it had to be said. I love when it’s done right and differently.”

The other Paslay/Morgan cowrite on the project, lead single “When Love Comes Around,” was awarded MusicRow’s “Disc of the Day” award upon its recent release, with Billboard also honoring the song among the best of the week, noting that “two decades into his music career, Bowen’s music retains a newcomer’s energetic fervor, melded with his signature blend of sounds from across the wide spectrum of Texas music.”

“Trouble Is” marks a bucket-list cowrite for Bowen, who wrote the track praised by Outsider as a song that “rivals some of his best work” with the legendary Steve Earle. “I was just hoping he liked me as a person – that was my goal,” notes Bowen. “To actually get a great song out of it makes it that much better.”

Closing out the project, “Be You,” written with Drew Kennedy, is what Bowen describes as “the mission statement of the entire project,” intended to lift people up after the difficulties of the past year-plus. “We decided to make this the final song on this EP because we wanted this to be the feeling people walk away with when they’re done with the project,” notes Bowen. “This song is just saying to everybody, ‘Please take a deep breath, find the good in the world and, most importantly, find the good in each other, and we’ll get back to a much better place than we are right now.”

Together, the collection marks the first solo project from Bowen in three years, with the promise of a full-length album on the horizon for 2022.

About Wade Bowen
Twenty years and some 4,000 shows into his career, the name Wade Bowen has become synonymous with authentic Country music– and for good reason. An artistic descendant of American icons like Guy Clark, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Robert Earl Keen and more, Bowen is a contemporary link in a Texan chain of roots-rock poets stretching back more than 50 years – yet his ambition never ended at the state line.

Seen as one of the genre’s finest and most genuine modern voices, Bowen’s approach stays rooted in tradition, but also stands on the creative cutting edge. His focus remains on writing unique songs with a literary quality and shifting his sonic territory to match his life, as evidenced by his uplifting new single, “When Love Comes Around,” off his forthcoming EP, Where Phones Don’t Work, available everywhere now (Thirty Tigers).

Wielding a knack for direct, poetic songwriting that never panders, Bowen matches his gravel-road growl to an organic sound spanning the whole of Texas and beyond, tapping both country and rock influences. A dozen albums have shown his sonic diversity – including six studio sets, two live collections, a gospel album and an ongoing series of buddy-country hits with fellow Texan, Randy Rogers. Along the way, he’s scored hits and accolades based on quality, not quantity, and continues to perform around 200 nationwide shows each year – including multiple appearances on the venerated Grand Ole Opry stage.

Walker Hayes Announces 'Country Stuff The Album' + Releases New Single "AA"

On the heels of his smash hit “Fancy Like” reaching number one at country radio, Walker Hayes releases his next single “AA” and announces his forthcoming album, Country Stuff The Album.

Country Stuff The Album will include “Fancy Like” as well as previously released “U Gurl,” along with “AA” and 10 other tracks, including Hayes’ collaborations with Carly Pearce, Jake Owen, and Lori McKenna, and a re-imagined version of “Craig” featuring MercyMe.

Country Stuff The Album is available everywhere on January 21, 2022. As always with Hayes’ music, each track on the project will be uniquely his, and share a range of emotion from nostalgia and pain to joy and good old fashion fun.

“I’ve been waiting so long to put out a project like this,” says Hayes. “It has everything I love from the fun of ‘Fancy Like’ to the more personal lyrics in ‘AA.’ As an artist, it’s such a unique thing to be able to share all the different versions of you in a project, and that’s really what I tried to do here.”

Out today, new single “AA” was written by Hayes with Multi-GRAMMY Award Winner Shane McAnally and Luke Laird and produced by “Fancy Like” collaborator Joe Thibodeau and McAnally. The song taps into all the things fans love about “Fancy Like,” but this time, brings in Hayes’ deeper side. True to form, Hayes sings about the experiences of everyday Americans, with “AA” hitting on his anxieties as a dad, his love for his wife Laney, and his own journey with sobriety. He sings:

AND I’M JUST TRYNA KEEP MY DAUGHTERS OFF THE POLE
AND MY SONS OUT OF JAIL
TRYNA GET TO CHURCH SO I DON’T GO TO HELL
I’M JUST TRYNA KEEP MY WIFE FROM FIGURING OUT
THAT I MARRIED UP AND SHE MARRIED WAY WAY DOWN
IN ALABAMA WHERE THEY LOVE NICK SABAN
TRYNA WRITE A SONG THE LOCAL COUNTRY STATION WILL PLAY
HEY I’M JUST TRYNA STAY OUT OF AA

“At the end of the day, we are all just doing the best we can,” says Hayes about the track, “and what I really mean to say with this song is just that I’m trying to stay the course. I’ve struggled with alcohol abuse and sometimes I wish I didn’t need AA, but I do. I think a lot of people can relate to that. I’m just trying to be the best dad and husband I can be. It’s not easy all the time, but my wife smiles a lot and my kids are growing up with more than I had, and that’s a really good thing.”

Listen to “AA” below.

Tune into CBS Sunday Morning this coming Sunday (11/21) to hear more about Hayes’ journey to where he is now. You can also watch Hayes perform “Fancy Like” on the American Music Awards that same day.

Hayes will be kicking off his headlining tour, The Fancy Like Tour, in Grand Rapids, MI on January 27, 2022.

About Walker Hayes
Monument Records recording artist, Walker Hayes, is a singer/songwriter originally from Mobile, Alabama. His forthcoming album County Stuff The Album features new single “AA” and smash hit “Fancy Like.” “Fancy Like” has topped every sales and streaming chart since its release, spent 18 weeks and counting at the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, been featured in a national Applebee’s ad campaign, and hit the top 5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 Songs.

Hayes’ newest release, “AA,” is everything fans have come to love about his music – unapologetically honest lyrics, instantly catchy hooks, and stories inspired by his own life. Written by Hayes, with Multi-GRAMMY Award winner Shane McAnally and Luke Laird, and produced by “Fancy Like” collaborator Joe Thibodeau and McAnally, “AA” hints at what’s to come on Country Stuff The Album.

The proud father of six has performed his music, including the Double-Platinum RIAA certified hit “You Broke Up With Me,” to national audiences on “Good Morning America,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The TODAY Show.” He will kick of his headlining The Fancy Like Tour in 2022.

HOWLAND HYATT, feat. Stet Howland (Metal Church, WASP), Releases Two New Singles "Eve Of Destruction" and their Re-imagined V

HOWLAND HYATT, the brand new, kick ass hard rock band featuring Stet Howland, the iconic power house drummer of Metal Church & formerly WASP, releases 2 new songs. An original called “Eve of Destruction” & a killer cover of “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”!

Howland Hyatt’s single & video for “Eve of Destruction” is a hard rock, edgy anthem fused with a little bit of a punk rock attitude regarding the current state of our world with lockdowns and the need for change. Also, included is an amazing take but true to the original cover of The Beatles' classic song “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” These 2 songs are out NOW and available on all streaming & downloadable platforms with a full length album to follow in early 2022 from Mindsnap Music, a subsidiary label of Von Artists and distributed by The Orchard/Sony.

Mindsnap Music has recently put out music from the likes of Bomber Alley, Dead By Wednesdayand Opus (solo acoustic), with more new music coming early next year with artists like Joey Concepcion, Soldiers of Solace, Joetown & more!

"While most might agree that little good came from our recent lockdown, my bandmate Johnny Hyatt and I have an uplifting tale to the contrary. We used that time to pool our resources to record some music that suited our personal tastes. We had absolutely no expectations, catered to no genre and simply recorded songs. Our final product is an eclectic collection. We feel we pretty much turned friendship into music (if that's possible). We figured instead of letting our recording studios sit unused, we would invite some friends over and hit the record button. Today we are thankful to announce that we will be releasing this 10 song collection as 'Howland Hyatt' via Mindsnap Music. Words can't express how excited we are to be associated with these top companies [Von Artists; The Orchard/Sony] and staff. None of this would have happened had I not reached out to my bestie 'Opus' (Christian F Lawrence) for his opinion on whether we should shop this stuff or just release it ourselves. His confident response was 'I got you, bro‘. I know exactly what to do, trust me.' So knowing this man's reputation, I trusted him. And sure enough, in a matter of days he single-handedly pulled all of this together. I speak proudly on behalf of Johnny, Livio, Jerome, Michael and myself when I say 'Thank you all.' We look forward to seeing you on the road,"says Stet Howland.

HOWLAND HYATT is:

Stet Howland - drums/vocals

Johnny Hyatt - Guitar/vocals

Jerome Lee - Bass Guitar

Michael T Ross - Keyboards

Livio Gravini - Vocals/guitar

Brantley Gilbert Shares Inspiration for "How To Talk To Girls," Available Now

Multi-Platinum selling country rocker Brantley Gilbert will be the first to admit he still finds it challenging to talk to girls – especially his childhood sweetheart-turned-wife Amber and daughter Braylen.

“I’ve known Amber since we were kids. I’ve been married to her for 6 years now, and I’m still in awe of her. Then my daughter came along, and I realized I still struggle to find the right words to say to the girls I love,” Gilbert shares.

Despite his struggle to find the right words, the Georgia-native delivers some touching insight into his unconditional love for his family with his new song via The Valory Music Co. “How To Talk To Girls,” co-written with Brock Berryhill, Brian Wayne Davis, Brandon Day, Chase McGill, Josh Phillips, Taylor Phillips and Michael Ray. Listen to the song HERE.

“When I get stumped or have a moment when I can’t exactly find the words, I’ve always been one to go back and think about it, and a lot of times, a song comes out of it,” Gilbert shares. “The more specific I am as a writer, the more I hear other folks say ‘Man, I feel the exact same.’ When it comes to family, the love I have for my wife, son and daughter is simple and straightforward, but getting across how deep it goes is the hard part, and I think that’s something we all share.”

The Worst Country Tour of All Time continues tonight in Charleston, W. Va., followed by 10 more opportunities to catch Gilbert live in North America before the end of 2021. Tickets are available at BrantleyGilbert.com.

About Brantley Gilbert
With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record Just As I Am clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the New York Times, NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten father––just as he is. Eli Young Band Builds on Two Decades of Hits with "Lucky For Me"

For multi-Platinum hitmakers Eli Young Band, the past year at home offered a chance to reset and recalibrate following two decades of success in the music industry. The Texas-based band has used the time for focused creativity, amassing a deep catalog of new songs. That renewed sense of excitement going into their next project is evident on a brand-new song available now via The Valory Music Co. Listen to “Lucky For Mebelow.

Lead singer Mike Eli crafted the feel-good, singalong love song together with Laura Veltz and Jimmy Robbins, who also served as producer alongside Eric Arjes. The resulting track showcases EYB’s signature ability Rolling Stonehas praised as “backed by force-of-nature passion” over a driving pulse of rapid-fire adoration for an incomparable woman:

I needed a softhearted, hardheaded, outspoken, wide open, high hopin’, holdin’ it down
Straight shootin’, sweet talkin’, hell raisin’, line walkin’ angel with feet on the ground
Strong but she’s kind, laughs when she’s lyin’, knows how to throw back a few
Only one in the world, way too good to be true
Lucky for me it’s you

“I wrote so many songs in 2020, which was obviously a scary and odd time for the band and the world,” shares Eli. “This song was written towards the beginning when we still had a good handle on optimism and hope. It’s one of the things I love about this song. It’s about finding that person you’re meant to weather the storm with!”

In the time since their college formation, the band celebrated by the Associated Press as offering “a smart, relevant antidote” to overdone clichés in Country music has amassed 14 Billboard charting singles, including four No. 1 hits via 3x Platinum “Crazy Girl,” 2x Platinum “Even If It Breaks Your Heart” and Platinum “Love Ain’t” and “Drunk Last Night,” while also earning an ACM Award for Song of the Year as well as multiple GRAMMY, CMA, CMT, ACA and Teen Choice Award nominations.

FINNEGAN'S HELL Release Their New Dystopian Holiday Single "Happy Christmas"

Celtic punk rockers Finnegan’s Hell shine a light on the dark side of Christmas with their new single and music video, “Happy Christmas”. The new track aims at broadening the general perception of the holiday; which, for a lot of people, can be an absolute nightmare.

The second-best Christmas song ever written? In any case, “Happy Christmas” by Finnegan's Hell qualifies as the second-best Christmas song coming from a Celtic punk band.

‘Happy Christmas' contains enough social realism to make you reach for the bottle once the song is over", says lead singer Pabs Finnegan. His haunting whiskey voice takes the listener through three shades of black in a song that depicts anything but a happy Christmas.

The music video for "Happy Christmas", which features the demolition of an entire apartment, was directed by Michael Ek. The images perfectly match the dystopian lyrics of the song. The cost of the damages makes this new video the most expensive one ever released by the band.

Spencer Marcu Announces Debut Album & Enlists Ray Wise To Star In Debut Music Video "Damaged All My Goods"

Blues tinged, grunge laden rock 'n' roll superstar-in-the-making, SPENCER MARCU, has announced the release of his debut album, "Homemade" today which will be released on Friday, March 25th, 2022. Accompanying today's announcement is the release of SPENCER's debut single "Damaged All My Goods" and its official music video which stars SPENCER alongside his uncle, Hollywood actor RAY WISE (Twin Peaks, Robocop, Jeepers Creepers 2). Watch the video below. Stream the track on your platform of choice HERE.

'Homemade' is a savage, grunge meets blues-inspired explosion of cathartic, purifying rock and roll. Joining SPENCER on drums is world-renowned drummer Kenny Aronoff (Iggy Pop, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, The Smashing Pumpkins, Brian Wilson, Neil Young). SPENCER played all other instruments and self-produced the album with the help of legendary producers Joe Barresi (Kyuss, Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails) who worked with SPENCER on achieving the phenomenal guitar tone, and Adam Kasper (Nirvana, Foo Fighters, R.E.M., Aerosmith, Soundgarden) who mixed the album.

Speaking on his debut single and new music video, SPENCER MARCU shares

"The song as seen through the video, is about trying to gain some hard-earned wisdom. It’s about self-reflection and resistance of negative temptations. About overcoming fear and doubt by letting things go. I experience the difficulty and the temptation but then see the irony and humor of it all and, ultimately, return to a more peaceful, familiar and youthful part of my life. It was cool to work with my uncle, Ray Wise and have him in the video. He's such a great actor and an even better uncle, so I'm very grateful that he was able to join me in this important part of my career.

"I feel so blessed and grateful to be able to release my first album, “Homemade”. It truly comes from the heart. Achieving the vision for this album wouldn’t have been possible without two great friends. Adam Kasper who mixed the record and of course Kenny Aronoff who is one of the greatest drummers in the world.

I hope everyone loves it as much as I loved making it. With the album finally announced and my debut single released, I’m ready and excited for the next part of my journey."

ABOUT SPENCER MARCU

Around 2008, SPENCER MARCU was on top of the world. The LA native was well-liked by his classmates. He was in his early teens, had the attention of several girlfriends. Life was good. Then all of a sudden it wasn’t. “I started experimenting with things, if you know what I mean. It felt like living like a rockstar at 13.”

His rockstar behavior quickly caught up with him and SPENCER's parents shipped him off to a camp far out into the Utah wilderness where he could, they hoped, reshape the trajectory of his life. Anyone put through the kind of crucible that MARCU endured at such a formative age would almost certainly come out the other end changed. When he finally got back home to LA, he suddenly realized the whole world viewed him differently.

Feeling isolated, MARCU returned to the one place he could always receive salvation: Music. He hasn’t stopped writing since. Music runs through Marcu’s blood. His father is an Academy Award winning songwriter, who earned his Oscar for writing the Dirty Dancing anthem “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” Although he didn’t specifically teach him how to write songs, SPENCER's father would point out chords in songs on the radio and show MARCU how to play them on guitar. Before long, SPENCER was shredding Jimi Hendrix solos off the Woodstock live album, note-for-note.

He had the tools. Now he had something to say. Hundreds of demos, songs and journal entries later, an album began to take shape. The record he produced is called 'Homemade'. It’s an experience of growth as told through 11 separate tracks.

Whilst he recorded in some great studios (Stagg Street Studios, Megawatt Studios, Kingsized Studios) and was assisted by some of the best record producers on the planet, the feeling of the music remained the most important thing. Thus, half of the album is filled out by the demos SPENCER originally tracked at home.

Homemade' unfolds like a journey through MARCU’s own experience. It’s filled with searing guitar solos, bombastic choruses and flashes of hard-earned wisdom. Now, on November 19th, 2021, exactly three years to the day that he finished recording the album and checked himself into detox to rid himself of all toxins including toxic habits, relationships and thought patterns, SPENCER has conquered his struggles, he's happy, healthy and finally ready to share his beautifully authentic and deeply personal 11-track musical biography with the world. In his own words “I have found my way back home. I'm saying the things I wanna say. I'm doing the things I wanna do. I don't have any more bad habits holding me back. I've learned to leave things alone if they're not working out…music is supposed to be a healing and spiritual experience.”

SET THE SUN Release Electronic 'ASTR0L4B3 R3M1X' for "Invisible" (feat. Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter)

American-Canadian Alt-Metal outfit SET THE SUN have dropped an intrepid electronic remix of their debut single "INVISIBLE", which features guest vocals from Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter. The song is accompanied by a new music video, and boasts new vocals from Ryan that were not heard on the original version.

Speaking about what inspired a remixed version of the track, Eris (drums) comments:

“We've always been huge fans of Linkin Park, and really loved their 'Reanimation' album. They were able to bring out a whole new side to each song and wanted to do the same with Invisible. We had a lot of Ryan's vocals and other melodic parts of the song that weren't front and center in the original track, including some clean vocals from Ryan. So we built a new version of the song around those parts, taking it into a more electronic, moody world. And we love how it turned out because it feels like a whole new track. I think you’ll be seeing more remixes like this from our future releases.”

Reflecting on Ryan's contributions to "Invisible", the band shares:

"With STS being a two-person writing team, we always enjoy taking a song to an outside artist to add new dimensions to it. We've been fans of Demon Hunter and Ryan's work for a long time and felt he would be perfect for this song, so we got in touch with him late last year. When we sent him the song last December to add his parts, it was such an easy and pleasant experience. Ryan knew exactly what to add to take the song to the next level. We're thrilled with how it turned out and can't wait to collaborate with him again!"

Abby Anderson Celebrates Newfound Confidence with Latest Release "Insecure"

In 2020, the word “insecure” would not likely be used by a casual observer to describe singer-songwriter Abby Anderson. With the release of her debut EP I’M GOOD in 2018, Anderson quickly earned praise from country music tastemakers. She was named a Pandora Country Artist to Watch and recognized as a member of CMT’s 2018 Next Women of Country, The Bobby Bones Show’s Class of 2019, MusicRow Magazine’s2019 Next Big Things and Sounds Like Nashville’s list of Country Artists to Watch in 2019.

However, on the heels of critical acclaim, “insecure” is exactly how Anderson felt. With time for reflection afforded by a global pandemic, she decided to step away from her label deal and focus on her own health and happiness.

“To me this song is absolute freedom. I’m so happy now,” shares Anderson. “I chose me. Now I dress how I want. I eat what I want. I’m making the music I want. I’m so thankful for that experience though. It has made me who I am today…I was insecure and I’m stronger now for facing those insecurities.”

Anderson’s new declaration of confidence, “Insecure,” is available now.

Written by Anderson alongside Marshall and Dylan Altman, as well as executive produced by Marshall Altman, the upbeat and unapologetic, the song offers an inspired message of positivity and overcoming insecurities.

I’m goin’ out tonight
I’m gonna be alright
When I walk out that door
I won’t need you anymore
I just might make a scene
Be somebody else’s dream
I ain’t who I was before
I ain’t that anymore
Insecure

“Insecure” follows the recent release of “Bad Posture,” which Billboard called a “bare-bones confessional” and led MusicRow to declare, “she’s singing with more guts than ever.” The two tracks are the first taste of new music from her new album due out early 2022, via Stem.
