Legendary hard rockers Night Ranger are set to release their 12th studio album, "ATBPO” on August 6, 2021 via Frontiers Music Srl. "ATBPO" stands for And The Band Played On, an ode to making music during the covid era. It will be available on CD and Vinyl (several limited edition, color vinyl versions), as well as digitally across all streaming platforms. The band began writing the album in early 2020, amid the onset of the global pandemic. After narrowing down the song selection and tightening them up to their well-known rock ‘n roll sound, the band hit the studio, although separately, due to the times we are in. Throughout "ATBPO", we hear Night Ranger continuing their hot streak that kicked off with 2011's "Somewhere In California". Ten years on, and two highly acclaimed albums later, "High Road" and "Don't Let Up", the band's latest studio work shows them still burning with that high octane hard rock energy they are known for. Night Ranger has always had a knack for killer melodies, intricate instrumentation, and captivating lyrics; "ATBPO" delivers all of that and more.

Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentallist AMMO has announced she will release her 2-track single 'Rose + Crown' via California-based Mourning Sun Records.

Ahead of this, she is previewing the b-side 'Total Recall', originally released as part of 'Do You Feel That Way Too? A Tribute to The Sound', the first charitable compilation on the Dune Altar label, aimed at increasing awareness to the mental health conditions plaguing millions today. Inspired by Adrian Borland (frontman of criminally underrated, yet tremendously influential 1980s UK band The Sound), who suffered from schizoaffective disorder and severe depression.

AMMO’s distillate aesthetic can be described as otherworldly ethereal shoegaze, driven by the pulse of primordial percussive rhythms that provide a backdrop for haunting vocals and lush, atmospheric guitar lines. Siouxsie and the Banshees, Rudimentary Peni, Dead Can Dance, Cranes, Cocteau Twins and Enya act as the influential foundation, supporting the lens through which AMMO channels her art.

AMMO has enveloped herself in a number of music, photography and film projects. Her band Brass Box released their full-length LP 'The Cathedral' in 2019. Past music projects include Black Flamingo, Darklands and Tête. Her music has been said to “shackle the living or free the dead…” by creating mystical magnetic soundscapes – “the kind of music that should soundtrack a sand-dune-to-shoreline road movie by David Lynch”.

The 'Rose + Crown' single was born of the isolation and swift emerging darkness wrought upon the world by the current pandemic, echoing themes of catharsis and freedom from self-imposed shackles, whether physical or psychological. Written by AMMO, it was co-produced and recorded with Alex Posell, former Black Flamingo bandmate, who also contributes drums and percussion, and mixed and mastered by Robert Duncan IV.

A rock and roll photographer, musician and songwriter, AMMO spent her youth ditching school to delve through record store bins and scour the LA music and art scene in hopes of running into like-minds. 

Pushing boundaries and challenging the status quo is a constant in her life. She has shot and produced a feature film, co-founded PLAG Presents, a platform for women musicians and the LGBTQ community voices to be heard.

Her storied history in shooting fashion editorials and directing short films and music videos have given her the tools to achieve a deeper connection with her listeners. These artistic mediums empower her exploration of illusive and melancholic topics which offer listeners an emotional and visceral experience by creating a dialogue between the imagined and physical.

Brazilian progressive rock / metal trio Pentral reveal their new single 'No Real Colour In Souls', one of the grooviest songs found on their debut long-player 'What Lies Ahead of Us', a 10-track LP with legendary producer Tim Palmer (Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie's Tin Machine, The Mission, HIM, U2, Pearl Jam) co-producing with Pentral, Sergio Fouad and Cesar Bottinha. Palmer also mixed the LP, which was mastered by Justin Shturtz (HIM, The Psychedelic Furs, Nancy Wilson, Slipnot, Tin Machine).

Hailing from Belém in northern Brazil, Pentral is made up of Victor Lima(vocals, guitars, songwriter, lyrics), Vagner Lima (drummer) and Joe Ferri (bass guitar), this album shares the tragic reality of many Amazon dwellers, whose habitat, lifestyle and livelihood are brutally taken from them, not to mention the destruction of the forest itself. Through their videos and lyrics, Pentral tells the story about this violence and pilfering of the Amazon's natural habitat.

"A rhythmic lengthy track, Vagner is brilliant on the drums and Joe on the bass guitar. This was one of the hardest tracks to sing during the recording sessions. Lot of feelings involved, and I believe I could express all this vibe to the interpretation of the song," says Victor Lima.

Earlier, Pentral released high-energy singles 'Aiming For The Sun', 'All My Wounds' and 'Silent Trees' - the sonic launching pad into a concept album reflecting on today's society, presenting the saga of a lowly couple fighting for their lives and sanity. The accompanying video sequence was filmed in their native Amazon – a dedicated saga unfolds, track by track. Directed and edited by Roger Elarrat and produced by Luana Klautau, this also involves Lucas Escócio as director of photography, this video features actors Anne Costa, Guto Galvão, Eduarda Cursino, Boris Knez and Aldo Lima.

The lyrics speak about loss. The kid and her mother are wandering around the forest as they know they have to get out and try to go on with their lives somewhere away from that place. Racism is clearly portrayed on the song as well. This is an odious plague that still chases up the human beings and that have to be confronted. It’s a quite introspective song! It resonates with the name of the band – Pentral, which means Soul. At the end of the day, this is what we really are – a Soul, before, during, and after our material existence.

Their unique take on alternative rock can be described as progressive, heavy, groovy and melodic, while the band also deliver a strong political message about what is going on in Brazil and all over the world.

Pentral stands for 'spirit' in Latin, indicative of the message this band is trying to inspire via their sound - the need to transcend this material world through the power of music, without losing connection with reality and human frailties.

Deeply influenced by their Amazon roots, Pentral's music is influenced by many global influences while also striving to honor Brazil's groove and unique harmonies, progressive rock, metal music, atmosphere and melody. This debut album sums up years of experimentation and the search for human awareness of the environment, peace and equality.

"The album 'What Lies Ahead of Us' is like a "declaration" and it was conceived way before COVID-19 came out...But it kind of fits the current reality we´re going through. This pandemic is the outcome of the unfriendly way we've been treating our environment and ourselves as well, and it served to expose our insensitivity, our lack of empathy,"says Pentral frontman Victor Lima.

"It's a story about a man and a woman who lives in the woods. The forest is invaded by a group of mercenaries (pretty common in Brazil) in order to burn the woods down and make money with that, the man is killed, the woman manages to survive and she is pregnant, then she gives birth to a girl, and They try to survive in the city, experiencing racism, violence, hunger, selfishness, indifference. The only thing they have - they love each other. So, the elements of the story - environment being destroyed, people suffering discrimination by the color of their skin, by the place where they came from, being selfish and violent for the sake of their own interests and prejudices, politics and religion abuse and extremism and the only way I believe things could be solved - the power of love. The album is like a journey of the three characters (a woman, a man, and their kid) passing through all the issues I’m talking about in the lyrics for these ten songs."

Finnish prog-psych rockers Pennies By The Pound have released their album 'Heat Death of the Universe' via Lilith Records, mastered by Ride frontman Mark Gardener at his OX4Sound Studio near Oxford. This long-player was produced, recorded and mixed by Rauli 'Rake' Eskolin, a rather achieved Finnish producer who has worked on over a dozen No. 1 records in Finland in the past 20 years.

Pennies By The Pound's sound blends '80s prog rock and '90s-early '00s alternative rock - essentially heavily guitar-driven with a touch of keyboards... Big choruses, quite a few guitar and keyboard solos and grandiose arrangements.

"Lyrically, there is a loose theme on the album about the way people continue to actually socially distance themselves from others (even without or before the pandemic) due to the influence of social media and maybe the internet in general. The album title is a nod to that, the "heat death of the universe" being the lack of and eventual end of real-life social connections between people," says Johannes Susitaival.

Hailing from Helsinki, Pennies by the Pound was formed in 2016 by Johannes Susitaival as a solo project, but it quickly became a three-piece involving musicians from his past bands. Ahead of this, the band previewed lead track 'Indigo Screams', along with accompanying lyrics video.

While still part of a punk rock band, Johannes began exploring some quite different musical avenues, which led to the self-produced 'Bloodshed and the Blinding Sunlight' EP in 2018. Having found their ideal producer after several years of searching, they began recording demos in 2019 for what would become this album. Due to the pandemic, they were finally able to record these tracks in autumn of 2020.

"This album is rooted in the fact that I became heavily interested in '80s Marillion a few years ago, especially the 'Clutching at Straws' LP. You can definitely hear the influence on the record, but there's a lot of '80s Rush too, spiced up with contemporary influences like Muse and Radiohead. As an artist, I've always been hesitant to make records that sound the same as the previous ones I've done, so the sound keeps evolving," says Johannes Susitaival.

"I wanted to make a record that is borderline ridiculous, in some ways, and definitely not very contemporary. Then again, for the first time in my life, I had a chance to work with a producer, whose work I have admired since the turn of the millennium and this definitely influenced the album and its sound".

The 'Heat Death of the Universe' album is out as of May 21. It can be obtained directly from the band via Bandcamp, as well as the standard platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

PERMAFROST New single ‘Closed Eyes’

Permafrost is a post-punk band, originally from Molde in Norway, which was formed in 1982 by school friends Frode Heggdal Larsen & Kåre Steinsbu. Robert Heggdal & Trond Tornes joined in 2001 and Daryl Bamonte in 2016. They take their name from a song by Magazine and other influences are Joy Division, The Cure, Talking Heads, Pere Ubu, Yello, Fad Gadget, The Residents, Wire and Wolfgang Press.

To date they have released the ‘Godtment’ EP (on a limited edition of 50 numbered cassettes) in 1983, the ‘Permafrost’ EP (on vinyl only) in 2019 and the critically acclaimed ‘Femme Fatale’ single which reached #1 on the Indie Disko Top40 chart in the spring of 2021. The band are scheduling more releases on their own Fear of Music label, beginning with the stunning ‘Closed Eyes’, available on 7th June 2021. “Closed Eyes, mixed by indie-veteran Paul Corkett, drives on with a relentless surge, full of foreboding, alluding to a dystopian near-future while at the same time offering the listener hope.”

Keith Wallen is a dynamic guitarist and vocalist, a passionate live performer, and a diverse songwriter. As guitarist and backing vocalist, he’s brought his tireless enthusiasm to Breaking Benjamin since the multi platinum rock band’s 2014 reformation, appearing on Dark Before Dawn(2015) and Ember (2018), as well as countless worldwide tours.

As solo singer, songwriter, and performer, Keith explores everything from melancholy balladry to inventively re-imagined pop music. He draws upon a deep well of experience and inspiration. His father was a ‘60s crooner and his mother was a professional dancer. He heard big band standards arouse the house. Quite simply, music (and the arts) are part of his DNA.

Wallen first enjoyed Active and Modern Rock radio success with the Knoxville, Tennessee based Copper, which he co-founded with a friend he’d known since first grade back in West Virginia. During his four-year stint with Las Vegas rockers Adelitas Way, which included two full length albums and three co-writing credits, Wallen found himself rubbing shoulders with tour and festival mates like Guns N’ Roses and Deftones.

With Wallen part of the reconfigured lineup, Breaking Benjamin’s powerhouse comeback album Dark Before Dawn debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2015 and went gold a year later. “The Diary of Jane,” a single from 2006’s Phobia, was certified triple-platinum in September 2019.

Beginning with his 2014 debut EP, Allies, Keith has used his solo work as a vehicle to explore his multifaceted passions, moving seamlessly from the smart pop of his ‘80s favorites like Tears For Fears and The Police to the big and moody riffs of Metallica and Alice In Chains. Subsequent singles explore everything from synth-pop to dark grunge.

Alternative metal band Awake Again join forces with Lena Scissorhands of Infected Rain on 'Busy Doing Nothing'

The alternative metal band Awake Again from Turku, Finland, are releasing their long-awaited debut album this autumn. The band has dropped several killer tracks so far, and 'Enmity', 'Look Around' and 'Into Two' will now be followed by the fruit of a great collaboration: 'Busy Doing Nothing', with several renowned names behind it.

"We'd been thinking for a while already how it'd be cool to have a guest singer on one of our songs, and the structure and rhythm in 'Busy Doing Nothing' were perfect for two singers. The first name that came to our minds was Lena from Infected Rain. Lucky for us, she said yes", Awake Again states.

"Working with Awake Again was very easy and fun. The song's meaning speaks volumes to me and I have written about a similar topic for Infected Rain before", Lena says, referring to the theme of 'Busy Doing Nothing' – apathy and pain resulting from the lack of self-control. "For me it's very important to feel the song before I agree to be a part of it, which in this case was not an issue at all. I'm really happy I could add a little bit of me to this great song and I'm super happy with the result!"

The party metal song was produced by the legendary Jonas Olsson (e.g. Amorphis, Blind Channel) and it was mixed and mastered by the Grammy-awarded Jacob Hansen (e.g. Amaranthe, Volbeat.)

"Jonas was really excited about the surprising soundscape and the chorus, and based on his suggestions we managed to make the song even catchier. Also Jacob never fails us. 'Busy Doing Nothing' hits in hard, but at the same time the different layers of the song are clear and focused", the band praises. "Versatile singing, big riffs and a killer chorus – 'Busy Doing Nothing' has everything you want in the field of modern metal!"

Ghost Tapes #10 is all about movement and intensity

More than three months after the release of the release of GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT’s critical acclaimed tenth studio album Ghost Tapes #10, the Irish four-piece presents a new official video for “Barren Trees”. The song is the most emotive and haunting song on the album and it’s also the only song that includes lyrics and vocals mixed as an instrument, so they blend in with the overall sound of the song. The additional guitar parts by Jimmy Scanlan complete the special sound design crafted on “Barren Trees”.

Inspired by the poem “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening” by Robert Frost, “Barren Trees” reflect the overall feeling of the band in November 2019, when this piece of art was written.

Today, Philadelphia, PA band Kaonashi released their highly anticipated debut full-length, Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year, on Equal Vision Records/Unbeaten Records. The concept album follows the character Jamie, who was first introduced on the band’s Why Did You Do It? EP, through Lemon House High and the different people they interact with. From their first day of school, a romantic relationship with Casey, and the turmoil that comes with being an American teenager, the eleven tracks on the album tell a unique, emotionally turbulent story in the world Kaonashi has created.

The heavy storyline on the album is accompanied by an expansive sound, building off of the band’s self-coined genre of “emo mathcore.” While math rock-driven moments and cathartic lyrics are still prominent, the band adds in elements of post-hardcore, progressive rock, and even an acoustic ballad, making for a diverse listen. Songs like “Market Street (Chardonnay, Diamonds, & Me)” and “Run Away Jay” are a force to be reckoned with, weaving intricate guitars and hard-hitting drums, while “Fuck Temple University” and “The Underdog I: Blue Pop” balance the franticness of Kaonashi with more melodic moments.

The writing process was a collaborative experience as the group locked themselves away in a cabin in Maine for two weeks, later returning back to the state to record with producer Evan Sammons. Among the band’s groove-heavy chaos found throughout Dear Lemon House, You Ruined Me: Senior Year, there is a clear, resounding message that Kaonashi hopes their audience will take to heart: It’s all about listening. TOUCH RELEASES NEW VIDEO FOR “LET IT COME” FROM THEIR COMEBACK ALBUM "TOMORROW NEVER COMES" AND RE-ISSUE THEIR DEBUT AND TOUCH II DIGITIALLY THROUGH DEKO ENTERTAINMENT WITH BONUS MATERIAL.

Touch was the first band to play at the inaugural Monsters of Rock Festival at Castle Donington in 1980 along with Rainbow, Scorpions, Judas Priest and Saxon. A live version of their hit "Don't You Know What Love Is" appeared on the compilation LP Monsters of Rock, documenting the performances at the festival. Touch's first album was released on Atco Records and their first singles, "Don't You Know What Love Is" and "When The Spirit Moves You" charted on the Billboard Hot 100. Their follow-up album was recorded in 1982 and produced by 2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Todd Rundgren, The record never came out and Touch disbanded thereafter.

The original band have now reformed after almost 40 years to create the new album "Tomorrow Never Comes", which is already being hailed as their best work to date and a triumphant return to their classic AOR sound. They have just released a lyric video for their second single “Let It Come”. Keyboardist Mark Mangold had this to say about the making of this new video, “Feels like déjà vu all over again.” Guitarist Craig Brooks continues, “The things you see when you ain’t got a gun”. Doug adds, “I’ll have the shark sandwich, please, Toasted.” Glenn concludes, “It’s not over till it’s over”.

To celebrate this renewed success the band have teamed up again with Deko Entertainment to officially put out their highly successful 1980 debut album Touch and the 1982 follow up Touch II digitally. Both releases come with bonus live recordings and demos from that time period.

Following yet more official appreciation, as acknowledged by the presentation of the German Record Critics’ Award, for their current album Genesis XIX (having garnered the prize once before with its predecessor Decision Day in 2016) and prior to their upcoming 40th band anniversary next year, Sodom have rarely been as energetic as in spring 2021.

Despite cancelled shows, despite the Covid-19 lockdown, despite the many imponderabilities that these strange times bring about. In a phase when other bands appear to remain stuck in anguish, 20 August 2021 will see Tom Angelripper and band membersFrank Blackfire (guitar), Yorck Segatz (guitar) and Toni Merkel (drums) release their brand-new EP Bombenhagel on Steamhammer/SPV, available on CD, 12” vinyl and for digital download.

“Originally we had planned to bring out the record in time for this year’s summer festival season, including a sticker with all confirmed tour dates. Of course, the way it looks at the moment, all festivals will be postponed until 2022. But the EP will be released anyway, as a sign of life. As a signal to our fans: We’re still around! The story continues,” explains Tom Angelripper.

Metallic hardcore group Tooth and Claw released their debut full-length Dream of Ascension today via Good Fight Music. The relatively new group of veteran musicians formed just last year to delve into new avenues of aggression, while mixing hardcore and death metal. Their debut effort achieves that mission in spades, exploring the duality of human existence through a harsh sonic onslaught that is full of surprises. While the band stays on the attack throughout the nine tracks that make up Dream of Ascension, they set themselves apart with a haunting atmosphere, adding an unexpected but welcome layer to the dynamics found on the album.

Speaking on their debut, vocalist Daniel Austin says:
“While we clearly set out to be a “heavy” band, we had ambition to make this a band that would at least flirt with brief ethereal soundscapes, not just bludgeon you with chunky riffs the entire time. Hence the synth parts, hence the chanting and singing parts, hence the flourishes of melody all throughout the record. Tooth and Claw was not meant to be one thing–not musically, and not lyrically either.”

Formed during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place orders of Spring 2020, Tooth and Claw features Scott Crouse (Earth Crisis, Sect), Daniel Austin (Die Young), James Chang (Undying, Catharsis, Sect), and Cameron Joplin (Magnitude) exploring new realms of aggression. On their debut album, Dream of Ascension, Tooth and Claw skirt the typical tropes found in hardcore by mixing their bludgeoning attacks with sinister melodies, achieving a balance of innovation and pure aggression. EMPORERS & ANGELS released their debut, self-titled album today via Curtain Call Records. The band will be playing Summer Bash Indiana on July 10th at the Waterbowl in Muncie, Indiana.

The band states, "This record is a long time coming. Such a journey to release this and we couldn't be happier to finally share our passion! Welcome to the Fray..."

Adds Matthew Nevitt, the band's vocalist, "I have battled insecurities, hatred and confusion for longer than I know. Depression took hold of me without warning. I was in a funk! I was battling an invisible force pulling me deeper from reality and my happiness. Crazy thing is, all this happened while life seemed grand! I dug deep within to provide the darkness, TRUTH and the helplessness I was drowning in. I also shine light and encouragement knowing it wasn’t a doctor. It wasn’t a prescription. No! It was strength found within. I accepted EVERYTHING! My faults, disappointments, failures, anxiety, even faced self hatred head on! I did my best to let down my guard to use my insecurity as fuel to write. I journeyed a personal intervention! "

The band was formed in 2020 by 4 long-time friends and musical counterparts. Each having success on multiple scales, the right time presented itself providing safe passage for Emperors & Angels to surface.

The quartet began writing and soon found producer Paul Trust “Starset” to help mold EA’s sonic assault. After working together on Emperors first three releases, the band decided to self produce. Taking everything they had learned from Paul, Sahaj Ticotin “Ra” and multiple others to EA’s newest measure.

CHRISTIAN DEATH Reissues 'Atrocities' on LP + CD

Gothic death rock pioneers CHRISTIAN DEATH will be reissuing their dark 1986 opus, 'Atrocities,' on both CD and vinyl format via Season of Mist on July 9! In addition to being available in standard black vinyl, the LP will also be available on a limited edition sun yellow 12" vinyl (33 rpm).

The reissues are available for pre-orders at THIS LOCATION.

This is part of an ongoing series of vinyl reissues of Christian Death's acclaimed catalog via Season of Mist. Previously, the label reissued LPs for the band's highly influential 'Catastrophe Ballet' (1984) as well as 'The Root of All Evilution,' 'Ashes,' 'The Scriptures,' 'American Inquisition,' and 'Sex and Drugs and Jesus Christ.' All vinyl reissues can be found at the Season of Mist E-Shop.

Founded in Los Angeles in 1979 by Rozz Williams, the hugely-influential band trail-blazed the American goth and death-rock movement with their debut album, 'Only Theatre of Pain' (1982) and genre-defining 'Catastrophe Ballet' (1984) and 'Ashes' (1985). Of these, 'Ashes' is a true testament to the CHRISTIAN DEATH legacy, as it marks the final appearance of the classic band lineup. 'Ashes' features the final recordings of founder Rozz Williams alongside current CHRISTIAN DEATH main-man Valor Kand, vocalist-keyboardist Gitane Demone and drummer David Glass before Williams' untimely demise in 1998.

About 'Atrocities'

Recorded at Rockfield Studios Monmouth, Wales, UK (famous for recording "Bohemian Rhapsody" with Queen)

The Studio features several buildings in a remote farm village, one of which, according to local tradition, is allegedly haunted, and as experienced by certain members of Christian Death.

London label Dimple Discs has announced the signing of Irish psychedelic dreampop outfit Keeley to its roster, not long after releasing the critically acclaimed new album from Cathal Coughlan (The Fatima Mansions, Microdisney). The label will release her debut 'Brave Warrior' EP digitally on June 18 with a physical release planned for autumn with a long-player scheduled for 2022.

Hailing from Dublin and fronted by vocalist and guitarist Keeley, the band includes Marty Canavan on keyboards, Martin Fagan on bass and Pete Duff on drums.

This four-track collection was produced and engineered by Alan Maguire, who mixed it together with Keeley, and mastered by Anthony Chapman (Franz Ferdinand, DEVO, Cathal Coughlan, Jesus Jones, Wolfhounds).

Lead track 'The Glitter and the Glue' is a blistering buffet of psychedelic rock, post-punk and the fuzzier, more frantic end of the dreampop spectrum. The shortest, fastest and most ecstatic explosion of energy released by Keeley to date, this is a hook-laden, melodic monster of a song with very unusual lyrical content. It is already receiving Irish airplay from Newstalk FM, Radio Nova, 98FM and has now been added to the playlists of Dublin City FM, KCLR 96FM and 8Radio.

The 'Brave Warrior' EP demonstrates the multi-faceted songwriting smarts of one of Ireland’s most talked-about emerging bands, ranging from this upbeat lead track to more spacey, darkly-dreamy electronic offerings, drenched in drama and soaked in sadness. Keeley pursues an unusual conceptual thread, conceived several years ago, focusing on German tourist Inga Maria Hauser, whose murder in Northern Ireland in 1988 remains unsolved.

For the past five years, the band's frontwoman and songwriter Keeleyhas been publishing a blog with a devoted global following - 'The Keeley Chronicles' - documenting the many facets of this unique, harrowing and mystifying case, correcting the falsely published details of Inga’s life and piecing together what really happened in the final days on her trip. By working in close quarters with Northern Irish police, senior politicians and Inga’s legal representatives in Northern Ireland in concerted efforts to advance and resolve this notorious case, she is keeping the memory of this beautiful and mysterious soul alive.

"Inga is the subject of everything I write. From the moment I first read about her exactly five years ago now, her cause became a burning obsession for me. Since that day I haven’t written a song about anyone or anything else... I consider myself a concept artist and my purpose is to give Inga a voice," says Keeley.

In October 2020, Keeley released the debut single 'Last Words’, topping Newstalk FM’s airplay chart, getting playlisted by RTE Radio 1 and 8Radio, and attracting support from radio in multiple countries. Picked by legendary broadcaster Tom Dunne as one of his ‘Top Tracks of 2020’, it was listed at #12 in Radio Nova's ’Top 15 Irish Songs of 2020’ and, upon its release, she became the subject of full-page articles in the Belfast Telegraph and Derry Post newspapers, a frankly unheard-of feat for an indie artist on their debut single.

Dimple Discs is a new Peckham label with deep Irish music connections, founded in 2018 by Damian O'Neill of The Undertones and Brian O'Neill, initially as a vehicle for Damian's solo projects. It has now grown to encompass such artists as The Undertones, Cathal Coughlan, Kev Hopper, Eileen Gogan, Dragon Welding, Nick Haeffner and Baby Shakes with forthcoming archive material from Microdisney and Fatima Mansions.

THE VOICE OF “EYE OF THE TIGER” DAVE BICKLER HITS THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT AND COMMENCES WORK ON SECOND SOLO ALBUM

The voice on one of the most instantly recognizable and celebrated rock anthems of all-time recently appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to reprise his singing role in this iconic song, this time aimed at the recovery of the Tiger recently on the loose in Texas. Dave was contacted by his label Deko Entertainment early Monday morning after the show had reach out to them to get Dave to participate in the opening of Monday night’s show. Dave had this to say about it, “I had to find new gear to keep up with the late show crew….Super fun!!”

Dave started his musical career as lead singer of the 1970s rock group Jamestown Massacre (best known for the Billboard Top 100 Song, “Summer Sun”) and doing commercial jingle work in Chicago, Dave was the lead singer of Survivor from 1978-1984 and 1993-1999, and co-lead singer 2013-2014. “Eye of the Tiger” - the theme song for the hit film ‘Rocky III,’ topped the Billboard charts for six weeks and won a Grammy Award for 'Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.'

Dave released his first ever solo album ‘Darklight’ in 2019, the ten-track album recalls the singer’s classic rock roots with a modern sound - and features contributions by the likes of Ryan Hoyle (Collective Soul) on drums, Brad Smith (Blind Melon) on bass, Grammy nominated producer Steve DeAcutis (Vanilla Fudge, Corey Glover, Vinnie Moore, Overkill, etc.), and Grammy Award winning mastering engineer Alan Douches (Fleetwood Mac, Yes, Mastodon, Monster Magnet, etc.).

Work has commenced on his follow up to ‘Darklight’ which he hopes to complete later this year. ‘Darklight’ is available on both CD and Vinyl from Deko Entertainment and there is a small quantity of autographed items available while supplies last.
