OBSIDIAN KINGDOM Shares Roadburn Performance Clip for Song "Womb of Wire"

After a successful premiere at Roadburn Redux, OBSIDIAN KINGDOM has shared a live rendition of their track "Womb of Wire," shot during their headlining performance at Barcelonian AMFest last December with guest appearance from their former member Irene Talló.

The band comments: “'MEAT MACHINE' didn’t always sound like you hear it today. Irene’s departure from the band before the album came out meant that we had to re-write a lot of finished songs in a rush if we ever wanted to play them again in front of a live audience. Nevertheless, last December we had the privilege to have her onstage with us, so now you have the chance to enjoy 'Womb of Wire' just like it was meant to be before we parted ways. This song was actually her idea from the start, so it is only fair that you hear it from her lips.”

Last fall, OBSIDIAN KINGDOM were awarded the "Best International Music Video" for "MEAT STAR" via the Santiago Horror Film Festival 2020! "MEAT STAR" is taken from the band's latest full-length, 'MEAT MACHINE,' which is out NOW! The award-winning video can be seen at THIS LOCATION.

Scottish FROM SORROW TO SERENITY share their new single "Tell All", along with a music video. It's the third and final single taken from their EP, "Trifecta", which is available now via Long Branch Records.

"Our intention with Trifecta was to create a series of songs that can be enjoyed both individually, and together in one combined experience.

Coming into the writing process, we knew that we wanted to explore new avenues, both musically and with the lyrical themes. Something we felt strongly about was writing lyrics from an introspective position this time and discussing our own personal, and interpersonal, struggles as people - topics we had only just begun to touch on in our latest album 'Reclaim'. We felt with our lyrical content in past, we have had a tendency to almost hold our listeners at arm's length - discussing the bigger picture, and issues we all face, but never really letting on to who we are as people. With 'Trifecta', we knew it was time to lift the veil and express exactly who we are, to discuss our own experiences in life, and take our listeners deeper.

As with all stories, Trifecta has a beginning and an end. The EP brings 'Shadows', 'Red Mist' and 'Tell All' together in a connected, 3-parter, taking you from paranoia and defeat, all the way to and acceptance and redemption.

'Shadows' wastes no time in bringing you into our world, discussing topics of PTSD, depressive and suicidal thoughts, and giving in to defeat. 'Red Mist' brings rage to the forefront, facing that you have become your own worst enemy - and the pain and regret of losing control. 'Tell All' is the relief at the end of our struggle. Acceptance is the first step in finding peace, and we encourage you to embrace who you are and take it out into to the world, no compromise. You are good enough. You are unlike any other. Take control and live life for you - because no one else is going to.

Musically, we have found who we are and where we are at as a group, but we always want to push the envelope and strive for more. Bigger sounds. More memorable hooks. Better songs. This drive, in particular, led to much more extensive use of synth and orchestral elements, particularly in 'Red Mist' which features a full orchestral accompaniment throughout its duration, and in 'Tell All' which features the most 'clean' vocals in any FSTS song yet.

The shape-shifting Belgian quartet EMPTINESS returns with 'Vide,' their first new album in four years. 'Vide' (the French word for empty) sees the band veer away from the mechanical foreboding of 2017's 'Not For Music' into a more introspective and deconstructed direction. It unfolds like a fever dream, with each track falling into hazy rhythmic patterns and featuring haunting vocals that hang in the ether.

Founded in Europe's center of gravity, Brussels (BE), in the year 1998, EMPTINESS embarked on their musical journey with a burning vision to delve deep into darkness and horror. While the band was taking musical inspiration from different extreme styles such as black and death metal, the Belgians approached the music in an open minded manner of continuous experimentation.

Following their inception, EMPTINESS first released the two demos 'Eternal Rising' (2000) and 'Necrorgy' (2002) that received a remarkable welcome in the underground. Yet with each new album, 'Guilty to Exist' (2004), 'Oblivion' (2007), 'Error' (2012), and 'Nothing but the Whole' (2014), the Belgians were also increasingly leaving a mark in mainstream music press.

EMPTINESS scored the devil's luck and won the perfect production set-up to create new sinister soundscapes during the recordings of 'Not For Music' in 2017. After recording in their own Blackout Studio, the Belgians received an invitation to further enhance the production of 'Not for Music' by Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez (MARILYN MANSON, A PERFECT CIRCLE, NINE INCH NAILS). The final mix and mastering was done by Sean Beavan (GUNS N' ROSES, NIN, SLAYER).

'Vide' (2021) was meant as a claustrophobic album, a journey of an infinite mind stuck into a world too small. Questioning the essence of once perceptions, this album invites you to rethink your grasp of reality. To that end, it was important for EMPTINESS to be isolated during its experimentations. Recordings would take place sometimes in confined spaces like apartments or a cabin in the woods, and sometimes on a city roof allowing to contemplate a strange human world from above. Involvement was strictly limited to the band members who took care of all audio production and visuals work. The pandemic and lockdown happened while recording was in progress; a materialization of the imaginary world being created. The album either by coincidence or not, is in tune with our dissonant times.

HEAVY METAL VETERAN DAVE STARR OPENS UP ABOUT HIS ONGOING BATTLE WITH PARKINSON’S DISEASE

Guitarist/bassist Dave Starr’s allegiance to metal can be traced through several respected groups, including VICIOUS RUMORS and the band's first 5 albums (Soldiers Of The Night, Digital Dictator, Vicious Rumors, Welcome To The Ball and Plug In And Hang On: Live In Tokyo), as well as 2006's Warball, CHASTAIN and the 2004 album In An Outrage, plus WILDESTARR, which featured Dave and his wife, vocalist London Wilde, and 3 albums (Arrival, A Tell Tale Heart, Beyond The Rain).

Dave was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease (in the early stages), and gave an exclusive interview to KNAC.com, in which he explained how it was detected, the medication he needs to take, how his family is coping with it, how he overcame a recent house fire, and future musical projects.

The article also proves to be quite inspirational, including the following excerpt:

“All in all, I try to get up every day with a smile on my face. One of the important things in life and how I deal with it is just keeping busy. With Starr Guitar Systems, I’m building wiring harnesses 7 days a week, business is just going crazy, I have 6 on my bench that I have to build when I get home today. I haven't had a day off in years (laughs), so I don't have time to sit around and mope.”

“Business has been so good that I am going to have to eventually hire on one or two extra technicians. I will need the extra help not just because business has exploded, but because at some point I won’t be able to do the detailed electronics work anymore due to Parkinson’s. The only time it really starts seriously bothering me is when I try to play guitar in the recording studio, then it hits me. Of course, there are other times as well, but my music is obviously a really tough situation for me to deal with because it’s such a huge part of who I am.”

Manchester-based Caulbearers present their new single 'Burst Through The Borders', influenced by modern, urban existence and celebrating the sacred in the everyday and the supposedly mundane. The fantastic single cover artwork was created by James Roper. The accompanying video is a collaboration between Mahoney and editor / animator James Stirzaker, who has a long history of working with the band.

Formed in 2007, Caulbearers are a collective led by Damien Mahoney, with contributors hailing from around the UK and Europe. A DIY ethic has coursed through the band’s work, including releases, design, production and much of the recording process. This hybrid ensemble is known for blending diverse musical styles and fusing them together on stage, weaving nu jazz and folk with elements of hip-hop, funk, dub, soul and afrobeat.

The video was shot almost entirely on mobile phones during the Covid 19 epidemic and in various states of lockdown restrictions in 2020. It depicts eerily empty scenes of Manchester, including the heart of the city centre. Other locations include Blackburn countryside and the Norfolk coastline. Singers Ruth Blake and Damien Mahoney are the only humans seen in the video, accompanied by various birds enjoying brief cameos throughout. As in the song, the natural world with its mysteries, wisdom and wonder, is the main protagonist of the video.

“I wanted to capture all these locations at such a unique time when everything felt so different, to help tell the story of a song that imagines great transformations of our societies, spaces, cultures and of ourselves. When everything initially locked down in the UK, we only had access to our phones and each other, so my wife Liz and I took a DIY approach and would go out filming in the early morning. As the year progressed, other friends also filmed sections and when times of less restriction came, we visited more locations but kept the same approach and aesthetic throughout," says Damian Mahoney.

Written in 2017, the song’s lyrics for 'Burst Through The Borders' were inspired by timeless texts by authors such as Idries Shah, Kahlil Gibran and Neil Douglas-Klotz whilst simultaneously dreaming of a beautiful revolution occurring in the markets, pubs, boardrooms, hospitals and schools of our towns and cities.

“As a species, we have so many difficult challenges to find solutions for, that it can feel overwhelming to know where and how to start. I wanted to write something that had total faith in the possibility of change, in the ability to transcend the complexities of our modern lives with simplicity. The song imagines this energy of love flooding through the world and transforming the institutions and purposes of our societies and our lives. By its nature, it dismantles the barriers that cause hardship for so many and the borders that separate us from each other. I wanted to write something that included everyone and everything. I was imagining this powerful force, reaching and filling up all these places and the people in them, leaving no one behind," says Damien Mahoney.

Mixed by Seadna Mcphail (Badly Drawn Boy, Jah Wobble, Everything Everything, I Am Kloot, Happy Mondays) and mastered by Jim Spencer (New Order, Johnny Marr, Charlatans, Factory Floor) at Eve Mastering in Greater Manchester, this track features numerous renowned musicians. Among them are drummer Howard Jacobs (808 State, Beth Gibbons, Homelife, Toolshed), guitarist Anton Hunter (Beats and Pieces Big Band, Article XI), cellist Stefan Skrimshire, bassist Nicholas Malin, and additional acoustic guitar by Andrew Mucha. Ruth Blake joins Damien Mahoney on vocals, while acclaimed composer and polyrhythmic pioneer Edward Chilverscontributes piano.

Along with the A-side, Caulbearers presents a stunning b-side - 'Solid Supposed' featuring Ruth Blake, whose latest single 'Brave Ships' was produced by Damien Mahoney. Not long ago, Caulbearers also released the single 'Over Comes A Cloud', which marked the beginning of a blossoming relation with Blake.

Caulbearers' music and sound is influenced by an eclectic range of artists, including Bill Laswell, Toots & The Maytals, Massive Attack, Radiohead, Curtis Mayfield, Talking Heads, Andy Weatherall, Brian Eno, Lee Scratch Perry and The Specials.

'Burst Through The Borders' will be released on April 29 and will be available across digital platforms, including and Apple Music and Spotify. It can already be pre-ordered via Bandcamp.

CRYPTODIRA ANNOUNCE A STORM CALLED PROGRESS LIVESTREAM HAPPENING MAY 11th & 12th

PERFORMING THEIR NEW ALBUM THE ANGEL OF HISTORY IN FULL

The New York-based progressive death metal group, Cryptodira, have announced their upcoming 2-day livestream event titled A Storm Called Progress, an in-studio, full performance of their newest album The Angel Of History. Captured at Graphic Nature Audio, the session was engineered by Matt Guglielmo, and mixed and mastered by Jamie King. Happening on May 11th and 12th at 7pm ET, the stream will be available to watch for free on the band's Twitch channel (twitch.tv/CryptodiraBand) while the band will be present to virtually chat with fans. Following the full album performance, fans can expect play-throughs, lyric analysis, and the individual song performances to be released every month.

Speaking on the event, vocalist/guitarist Scott Acquavella says:

"As a band that's always done things the old fashioned way of writing, recording, and touring, pandemic life has been a particularly weird adjustment for us. Having put out a record in the middle of it, we were hellbent on finding a way to bring people closer to The Angel of History than anything else we've done before, and the answer to that was A Storm Called Progress.

A Storm Called Progress is centered around a live, in-studio performance of The Angel of History recorded at Graphic Nature Audio and mixed/mastered by Jamie King that will be premiered as a two day live stream event on our Twitch Channel. From there, the following months will see a series of video releases, with each month being dedicated to a different song on the record. For each song there will be an instrumental play-through video, a deep dive lyrical analysis video, and a video cut of that individual song from the live performance to explore The Angel of History in a completely different context.

We weren't content to just put out any old video performance in a sea of COVID-inspired live streams and it was important to us to release a body of work that would be engaging for listeners and creatively challenging for us, pandemic or not."

While the album marks a new frontier for MONSTER MAGNET as their first covers record, this is not your typical set of standards released to pass time. A Better Dystopia sees the band pay homage to some of their favorite songs of all time, while reflecting on the paranoia, dystopia and revolution of both now – and then.

“‘Learning To Die’ blew me away when I was 15 and it still blows me away.

Dave Wyndorf says about the birth of A Better Dystopia:

“We all agreed that we would be bored out of our minds within a month of lockdown. MONSTER MAGNET loves the road. It’s a lifestyle. So, I considered our options. Rather than panhandle on the internet, hawking masks and Zoom-rocking practice sessions for dollars, I suggested we record a “bunker record”. A total DIY affair (band only) recorded and mixed in Bob Pantella’s small but potent Freak Shop Studios/rehearsal space right here in New Jersey. But what to record?

I didn’t feel much like writing, but working on anything was better than watching the news as hospitals filled up, people died, and American politics went bat-shit crazy. The world roared “Dystopia! Apocalypse! Revolution!”. I’d heard those words before, and they brought to mind my childhood in the late 60’s/early 70’s… and the music… and short playlist of songs (just one of many) that I’d been carrying around with me on my whatever device to listen to before shows. Of course, these tunes have also been in my head for more or less my whole life. These were not the popular hits of the time. This was like a playlist from the 4th dimension… strange bits of musical obscurity, mostly dredged up from that inglorious and freaky “twilight zone” time that preceded Arena Rock, Heavy Metal, Reggae and Disco. A no-man’s land of hard rock that still had remnants of psychedelia and garage punk but had abandoned any notion of “flower power” or frat house fun. And of course, they rocked.

Yeah, these songs were it.”

Wyndorf is at the top of his game on A Better Dystopia, delivering each lyric in his own inimitable style, and musicians Phil Caivano, Bob Pantella, Garrett Sweeney and Alec Morton own the sound – vintage and old school, dense and heavy, with searing fuzz leads and pounding bass and drums all played in a deft style that's almost been lost in modern music. The album opens with “The Diamond Mine”, as Dave Wyndorf recites a classic monologue by Dave Diamond, an American radio DJ whose programs in the late 60’s and early 70’s helped popularize many psychedelic and acid rock bands. At this point the real trip begins, as the opening chords of the Hawkwind classic “Born To Go” gear up for launch. Tracks like standout “Mr. Destroyer” (Poo-Bah) spur visions of some untold Freak revolution – or perhaps dinosaurs battling on a burning planet at the end of time – creating a perfect blend of hard rock and psychedelia. Feverish “Motorcycle (Straight To Hell)” (Table Scraps) is pure punk fury of the old school tradition, evoking a cross between Iggy Pop and Motörhead as Wyndorf wails "I'm gonna drive it straight to HELL!" Falling even further down the mind-bending rabbit hole, Magnet offers their stunning, whirlwind take on the often-overlooked hard rock classic "Learning To Die" (Dust) and a masterful version the Stooges meets Goth epic, "Solid Gold Hell" (The Scientists). The album closes with a bonus nuclear cover of Morgen’s “Welcome To The Void”, inviting you to restart the ride again and again.

The three founding members of legendary New York hard rock/proto-punk rockers – singer/bassist/songwriter Andy Shernoff, rhythm guitarist Scott Kempner, and lead guitarist/Manowar icon Ross the Boss – are back, with legendary Blue Oyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard on board! New single “God Damn New York” out now!

Called by critic John Dougan as "one of the finest and most influential proto-punk bands to walk the earth.” the Dictators are releasing their first new music in 20 years. The groups’ three founding members, Andy Shernoff, Ross Friedman and Scott Kempner are joined on drums by founding Blue Öyster Cult member Albert Bouchard, the man who played the infamous cowbell on ”Don’t Fear The Reaper”. The Dictators and the Blue Öyster Cult have known each other since the early days when they both shared the patronage of producer/manager Sandy Pearlman.

“Scott and I had lost touch with Ross but we were brought together by some Dictators business”, explains Andy. “Once it was settled, Ross suggested we play together again. It was literally the last thing on my mind, but Scott was enthusiastic, so I sat on it and eventually said ok and damn, I am so glad I did as it's kept me busy during the pandemic”.

“I wrote ‘God Damn New York’ with my wife before we got married for a video that never got made. When I was presenting new song ideas to everybody, this one got a thumbs up. So I changed the key, re-wrote the lyrics to give it some Dictators swagger, and voila, the first new Dictators song in 20 years. It’s sort of a love/hate letter to New York City”.

“My buddy Jesse Bates had a song called ‘Let’s Get The Band Back Together.’ I thought it was really clever and funny so I asked him if I could fool around with it and put my spin on it. He said go for it, so I made few changes and recorded it on my own a few years ago but it was just so perfect for the Dictators that we couldn’t resist.”

“For me, ‘Let’s Get the Band Back Together’ has the same exuberance and joy ‘Go Girl Crazy’ has!” adds Ross.

Known for their sarcastic lyrics and aggressive sound, The Dictators released what Uncut Magazine called “the first punk rock album”, The Dictators Go Girl Crazy, in 1975 – a full year before The Ramones. Having played shows early on with the Stooges and New York Dolls, they became regulars at CBGB’s, while influencing bands around the world.

The Dictators released 2 more records (Manifest Destiny and Bloodbrothers) in the 70’s before breaking up. Ross went on to found heavy metal overlords Manowar, while Scott started roots rock pioneers The Del Lords. Andy worked as a producer and songwriter while also performing with Joey Ramone and The Fleshtones.

An early ‘80s get-together produced the classic live album Fuck ‘em If They Can’t Take a Joke, and the band performed sporadically until 1995 when, realizing the extent of its fan base and influence, once again reformed full time. Numerous international tours culminated in 2001’s D.F.F.D., the band’s last studio album. After playing the final weekend of CBGB’s in 2006, they once again went their separate ways.

It took a worldwide pandemic to once again unite the band. After a socially distanced recording session, the band finished the new recordings by trading files over the internet. The first release is “God Damn New York” – a love/hate song to the band’s home town. The reunited Dictators’ second single release, “Let’s Get The Band back Together”, had its debut on Little Steven’s Underground Garage Radio show on April 12. More music will come out later in 2021 and the band looks forward to touring in 2022!

“We have a song ready to be released in July and a special seasonal song about the holidays set up for December. We hope to record 4 more tracks in June and just keep on releasing cool new tunes and videos, until things are completely open.”

Characterized by aggressiveness, dissonance and by creating a strong sense of atmosphere, the band’s third assault seamlessly fits in with the wave of black metal fronted by MGŁA and BLAZE OF PERDITION.

KHANDRA’s first revelations were perpetrated in October 2017 under the banner ‘All is of no avail,’ which subsequently merged with its successor ‘There’s no division outside existence’ in October 2018. These seeds sprouted even more fatal progression of metastases which transformed into ‘All occupied by sole Death.’

"Khandra" [xɐnˈdra] is a term that describes the feeling of crippling listlessness or melancholy that takes one over when in a state of boredom. However, the band's overarching concept challenges this notion of ennui, attempting to exceed the limits of the imagination, utilizing music as a vessel of expression that has no emotional or logical confines.

(April 20, 2021) B-Real, aka Dr. Greenthumb and one of the lead rappers of multi-platinum West Coast Cypress Hill fame, drops a new double A-Side release today via eOne. The tracks "Mother Mary" ft. DJ Paul and "Triple OG" ft. Freeway are available now on all DSPs. Both tracks were produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Scott Storch and will be featured on B-Real's forthcoming solo album, due out this summer. More details to be announced shortly.

B-Real unveils a new, exclusive collaboration with Wonderbrett x Dr. Greenthumb x High Hopes Supply Co. A limited-edition curated cannabis pre-roll is now available for purchase, along with a download of one of his new tracks, "Mother Mary," at all of B-Real's signature Dr. Greenthumb stores in California. The Pineapple OZK genetics were meticulously developed between B-Real and famed California cannabis brand Wonderbrett through a year-long pheno hunt, curated for the “Mother Mary” aural experience. “I wanted to provide my fans with a special experience while listening to my new music and I can’t think of a better way for my fans to experience something very special,” B-Real says. “We took the time to develop the flower and now, it can be enjoyed with my music as a collaborative effort.”

Future singles and curated strains will be dropped leading up to the album release this Summer.

B-Real has also partnered with world-famous tattoo artist Mister Cartoon from SA Studios for a collection of NFTs set to drop on Blockparty through Ark Labs. The collaboration features original artwork by Mister Cartoon, created specifically for B-Real’s new single “Triple OG."  The drop begins TODAY at 4:20 PM PST during Cypress Hill’s performance live stream from The Roxy on the world-famous Sunset Strip.  It will feature a live auction and Cypress Hill will be performing their greatest hits with some special surprises.

Punk-infused avant metal rock outfit Arsenic Tea Party are back with a new aptly-titled release - 'The Really Not Good Times' EP. They also present a lyrics video for lead track '12 Gauge Exit Strategy' (created by Jacob Glover), and a proper video for 'Tommy The Cop' (by Amanda Meade).

Formed in Flint, Michigan in 2019 as a solo project, Arsenic Tea Party today revolves around the duo that is Richard Cynic (vocals, drums, keys, guitar, lyrics) and Ron (Ryan Szewczyk) of Downtown Brownfame on guitar and bass.

An apolitical Rock and Roll outfit dedicated to "poisoning" the minds of honest folk with positive, nihilistic cheer, Arsenic Tea Party exists to make noise and make it fun for everyone - to make things less painful. There's a certain level of whimsy,and levity in this avant-garde metal. At times sardonic in subject matter, this simple but high-energy music has got hooks, and utilizes a wide range of instruments and styles.

Debuting with their eponymous LP in mid-2019, it's been a full year since they released their next single 'Homesick For Hell'.

"Personally, we both have gone through a lot of very strange and terrible things the past two years. From struggling with health issues, losing homes and livlihoods, getting shot and basically coming back from the dead, the pandemic, missed opportunities then, and now, major depression...you get the picture," says Richard Cynic.

"This release, and its future sister release, is an attempt to make sense of the fact that there is no good sense in any of this - and I guess to poke fun at serious issues to minimize their power. Kind of like how a mother bird will regurgitate food for her offspring. This EP is just a sardonic outlook on the absurd nature of everything that is the present or that could be the present - I don't like to date things, haha."

We recorded this release in our homes respectively. Just a homegrown record. I handle the Vocals, Drums, Keys, and Guitar, and Ron handles both Guitar and Bass. For a brief period, ATP had live players, but that was short lived. We aren't in much of a hurry to play live given the circumstances, but we do have prospects and interested parties who are practicing our songs as we speak.

As of February 14, 'The Really Not Good Times' EP is available digitally across all platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. It can also be ordered directly from the artist via Bandcamp.

Liverpool's music mavericks Ernest Moon return with 'Big Wow' single

Liverpool-based outfit Ernest Moon presents 'Big Wow', a short whimsical single they describe as a "throwaway tune about the ways of a working class young'un from round our way sometime in the not too distant past."

In 'Big Wow', the language is straight out the gob of the protagonist....Johnny B.. a sixteen year old skally....with starlit dreams of cars and girls and toilets on every floor.


Ernest Moon are Steven Doran and Brian Murphy, two English no-marks of limited musical ability, brought together by a liking for eggs on toast. Hailing from Liverpool, they offer lush lyrics, heavy hands and a rat-arsed sincerity. Somewhat punky, their sound has been described as pushy pop, "filling the gap between pretentious lyrical art and bog standard pop music".

"The music in this song is the most obvious stuff a couple of crappy musicians of our generation from Liverpool could produce. In Liverpool there is a tradition for poppy rock'n'rolly guitar music so its natural this kind of tune comes out the other end when you start playing. But there is a diversion from the obvious in the song in that the lyrics are more crafted and worked than one would normally encounter in Pap music. Even if we say so ourselves," says Steve.


In the three years of Ernest Moon's existence, they've released two heart-stopping EPs. Their songs are as meandering in style and sound as their musical taste, drawing on influences such as The Blockheads, Arab Strap, Talking Heads and The Specials.

Previously, Brian and Steve supplied the guitars and words for a now-defunct band called Betty Backskuttle, a band they say was infamously vain and famously unfriendly.


'Big Wow' was recorded during the lockdown at Liverpool's Ark Recording Studios by Steve Powell (Michael Head & the Red Elastic Band) and Rory Ballantyne. Several years ago, the band debuted with their 'Ba-jesus' EP, recorded at Orphan Recording in Dublin with Peter Ashmore and Gavin Glass (Paul Brady, John Grant, Lisa Hannigan, Mundy), foreshadowed by the witty drunken single 'Satdeenight Ready'. They followed up with their 'Uh' EP in July 2019.

'Big Wow' is a prelude to the band's impending 8-track release with Violette Records this coming summer "It's a taster of what that release will not sound like. A bit of careless crack while waiting," says Brian.

As of April 29, 'Big Wow' will be available digitally via iTunes and for Spotify. It can already be pre-ordered via Bandcamp.

Canadian power trio Danko Jones are proud to share their new 'fan-only' single "Flaunt It", as well as a lyric video to commemorate the band's 25th Anniversary.

The track follows the lead single "I Want Out" released mid-March. Currently the single has seen success as it hits Top 20 at Canadian Rock Radio. It was also added to The Strombo Show, CBC Music and featured at the likes of Exclaim! Magazine, Louder Sound, and Bravewords among others. Both singles come off of the band's upcoming album, 'Power Trio', out August 27th via the Canadian-based record label Sonic Unyon. Album pre-orders are available HERE!

The album sees Danko Jones delivering each engine-revving riff, soul-shaking stomp, and shout-it-loud hook with a sniper’s precision. It's such a simple, self-evident title, but one loaded with significance, as it speaks to the special triangular alchemy Danko shares with his trusty bass-slinging accomplice JC and drummer Rich Knox. It also stakes out the band’s place on a storied lineage of three-piece titans Jimi Hendrix Experience, ZZ Top, Rush, Motörhead, Venom, Dinosaur Jr., and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, to name a few.

'Power Trio' follows the band's electrifying, world charting album, A Rock Supreme, released in 2019. It also sees the band once again tapping into the production prowess of Eric Ratz, who previously amped up the bone-breaking boogie of 2017's full-throttle rocker Wild Cat and 2015's bloodlusty Fire Music.
