Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Recognizes Ashley Gorley

CBS News Senior Culture Correspondent Anthony Mason revealed the prestigious Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2025 honorees this morning on CBS Mornings recognizing inductees The Doobie Brothers, George Clinton, Mike Love from the Beach Boys, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins alongside Nashvillian Ashley Gorley. Gorley was at home starting his day as the news broke.

“I’m honestly shocked. I started out in the tape room listening to some of the greatest songwriters turn in demos,” Gorley shares, reflecting on his journey. “Being welcomed into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and this legendary group of music makers is a dream come true. I’ve always looked up to this organization, and I’m proud to join representing Nashville and the country music community.

“I’ve attended this event as a fan and it always leaves me inspired, so this moment is truly surreal for me and my family,” Gorley adds. “I’m incredibly grateful for the Hall of Fame and all the songwriting heroes who shaped music as we know it today, and I’m looking forward to celebrating everyone in June.”

Morgan Wallen congratulated his friend and “Love Somebody” and “Last Night” collaborator sharing, “Ashley, your talent and work ethic are unmatched. I’m glad you’re being celebrated for your craft and there is no one more deserving of this honor. After as many hits as you’ve had, you don’t have to show up like you do for me and other artists and writers, and yet, your passion and love of songwriting inspires us every day. Congratulations on being named to the Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2025!”

Sony Music Publishing Nashville CEO Rusty Gaston expressed admiration for Gorley’s journey and character, noting, “From dreams that began in Danville, KY to creating songs that have touched lives and hearts all over the world, Ashley Gorley is truly one of a kind. His drive, determination and perseverance are only eclipsed by his heart, genuine spirit and his faith. It’s astounding what he has achieved thus far, and he has no signs of slowing down, with hit songs on the chart today and many, many more to come. Every member of his family at Sony Music Publishing could not be more proud of him and congratulate him on this well deserved recognition.”

Tape Room Music President Blain Rhodes remarks, “This is a huge accomplishment! The Songwriters Hall of Fame celebrates the great songwriters from all genres who have enriched the world's culture through their music. Ashley has been, and continues to be one of the most prolific songwriters of all time. His body of work is unmatched and his songs have helped shape Country Music. This is a very well deserved honor.”

Gorley grew up in Danville, Kentucky and attended Belmont University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1999. Since, he has continued to give back to the University through leading seminars, mentoring students and serving as an adjunct instructor. Gorley has met with Senators and The Library of Congress to promote songwriters’ rights and bills such as the Music Modernization Act. In 2011, Gorley formed his own publishing and artist development company, Tape Room Music. Under his leadership and mentorship writers for Tape Room have celebrated 50 No. 1 songs, including 2018 ASCAP Country Song of the Year, “Body Like A Back Road,” 2021 ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC Country Song, “One Of Them Girls,” and 10-week Country Airplay number-one hit, “World On Fire.” An 8-time NSAI, 11-time ASCAP and 2023 Songwriter of the Year (all-genre) by Variety, the publication proclaimed “Gorley is widely considered contemporary country’s most successful writer.” In 2024 he supported the launch of a program designed for the creative community by The Onsite Foundation: Creatives Support Network, providing free mentorship, education, resources and mental wellness support specifically designed for members of the songwriting community gifting 80 grants for 80 individuals to commemorate his 80th chart-topper. Gorley’s recent collaborations with Jelly Roll and Post Malone/Morgan Wallen (“I Am Not Okay” and “I Had Some Help”) are being honored at the upcoming GRAMMY Awards with two nominations in the Best Country Song category.

Kenny Chesney + Jimmy Fallon Talk SPHERE, Friends + No Shoes Nation Last Night

Sometimes when you’ve got good news, show up and share it with the world. For Kenny Chesney, notoriously circumspect about everything except his music, being only the sixth band – behind Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees U2, the Eagles and Dead + Company, plus jam force Phish and electronic artist Anyma – to bring their iconic sound to Vegas’ Sphere was a strong reason to go to New York to talk, instead of play, music.

Having made the Sphere announcement at the start of “TODAY”’s 8:30 a.m. half hour, the East Tennessee songwriter/superstar stopped in at “The Tonight Show” to talk what made him take on the challenge of being the first country artist to play the groundbreaking venue, the fact he’d not seen a concert there before signing on and several good friends who share his penchant for creating and playing songs that touch people where they live, but also where they feel most alive.

“The great thing about Jimmy,” Chesney said about the host, “is he’s so musically curious, he always takes the conversation places you don’t see coming. Lots of people have asked me about the story Taylor told in TIME, but he wanted to know if I recognized her massive impact when she was 17… Lots of people have asked about the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame performance for Jimmy’s induction, where I sang with James Taylor and Mac McAnally, but he understood what it meant to me on a soul level, and wanted to talk about how much we all miss him.

“That’s the reason when we made the decision to go into this new dimension with our live experience, I knew I wanted to dig into it with Jimmy Fallon. He not only wanted to understand what the work was to create something that required being built from the ground up, he wanted to know what it feels like to be at one of our shows.”

For Chesney, who has always relished a challenge, the idea of completely new visuals delivered in the highest possible definition on a screen that wraps all the way up and around the dome-shaped building was an opportunity to really consider what some of his most iconic songs mean. Known for its 167,000 individual speakers, which can be dialed in to each section with dazzling specificity, these 12 shows will allow No Shoes Nation to almost be consumed by the experience. Or as he joked earlier in the day, “Like they’ve never seen us before.”

Beyond breakout stories in USA Today, Rolling Stone, People, Los Angeles Times, New York Post, as well as trades and music-centered publications, including Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, POLLSTAR, HITS, Consequence, Holler, Music Mayhem and BillboardStereogumRELIX, Hollywood Reporter and Britain’s Daily Mail – plus radio across the nation -- all picked up the news.

Having extended his Billboard Country Airplay Chart record with “Take Her Home,” his 33rd No. 1, plus a dozen personal stadium records on his 2024 Sun Goes Down Tour, Chesney’s breaking ground and having fun taking No Shoes Nation into a whole new musical realm. “For people who consume this music so completely, I love the idea that now the music is going to consume No Shoes Nation with this full-on experience. There’s never been anything so completely immersive – and I’m honored that we get to take No Shoes Nation into this space, really have fun and give all that positive energy an even deeper dimension.”

Meet the Season 3 Farmers of 'Farmer Wants A Wife,' Premiering March 20 at 9/8c on FOX

Dating competition series Farmer Wants a Wife, hosted by Kimberly Williams-Paisley, is back with four new rural romantics looking to sow love on the farm when Season Three premieres Thursday, March 20 (9:00–10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Farmer Wants a Wife is the most successful dating show in the world, airing in 34 countries and resulting in 226 marriages and 565 children (with four on the way). Last season’s farmers Mitchell Kolinsky and Nathan Smothers remain happily in love in their relationships with Sydney Errera and Taylor BeDell, respectively.

This season, four new farmers— Matt Warren, Jay Woods, John Sansone and Colton Hendricks—bring the heat as all-new daters look to leave behind city life for the charm of the country as they embark on an adventure that could change the course of their lives forever.

These farmers are the cream of the crop. Farmer Matt is the California heartthrob who uprooted his life in Austin to help save his brother and sister-in-law’s avocado farm – he’s our fairytale Prince Charming! Family, faith and football – that’s Farmer Jay, the hometown hero who lost his football career to injury and put everything he had into rebuilding the legacy of his grandfather’s farm in Alabama. Farmer John is an urban cowboy – a high-flying St. Louis law student who dreams of living in the tradition of his family’s farm in rural Missouri with his sweetheart by his side, if he can find her of course! Our cheeky charmer with a witty sense of humor is Farmer Colton – a third generation Arkansas cattle rancher, recently divorced and a single dad to his 2-year-old son who is looking for a second chance at love.

The third season will dive deeper into the beauty and trials of homegrown love, and new twists will put relationships to the ultimate test. Along the way, the farmers and their daters hit the road as they travel to Alabama for a speed dating event, Tennessee for a country ball and Texas for an overnight camping mixer. New this season, the final daters will bring their families back to the farms where their loved ones will experience first-hand what it is like living in the countryside. As the ladies immerse themselves in the realities of farm life, some will blossom while some will head out to pasture, and only time will tell if they have the patience, spirit and adaptability required to be a farmer’s wife.

Kenny Kicks Off 2025 on "Today," "Tonight Show" Jan. 16th (NBC)

Kenny Chesney, the East Tennessee songwriter/stadium-sized superstar, is rested up and ready to get his 2025 started. Having spent the last several weeks working on some very personal projects that break ground for the high impact, positive energy performer, the eight-time Entertainer of the Year will kick things off with a stop at NBC’s “TODAY” on Thursday, Jan. 16 during the 8 a.m. hour.

Beyond whatever big news the generational icon has to share, he will return to 30 Rockefeller Center later that same day to be the lead guest on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Though no performances are part of the appearances, Chesney has plenty to talk about.

“I have always been one to let the music do the talking,” says the affable musician. “I think when we’re onstage, connecting with No Shoes Nation, nothing else really needs to be said. When they sing these songs back to me, that says everything.

“That said, this year is going to be unlike any other. This is one time when I probably do need to get out and explain exactly what we’re up to. But for now, I can say this: I am incredibly ramped up about what we’re in the middle of making happen for 2025. It’s one of those things where you can’t just throw it out there – so I am really glad we’re getting to spend some time at ‘TODAY,’ then ‘The Tonight Show.’”

Having extended his record on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart with “Take Her Home,” his 33rd No. 1, the man behind “American Kids,” “Get Along,” “Summertime,” “Young,” “When The Sun Goes Down” and so many more classic country songs for the last two decades is looking forward to breaking more ground and creating deeper ways to appreciate the way his music has defined people’s lives in the 21st Century.

“The thing about so many of my songs is they’re pieces of people’s lives,” Chesney says. “Almost everyone can see themselves in there somehow. To me, singing people’s reality and hopefully showing them how sweet life can be sets a pretty cool bar.”

The man the Wall Street Journal deemed “The King of the Road” and the L.A. Times hailed as “The People’s Superstar” has always focused on connecting the dots between live and his recorded music. That appears to once again be the driver for Chesney as he leans into the year ahead; with a strong passion for his band and road family, he’s already been posting pictures from rehearsals somewhere in Nashville on social media.

“There’s nothing like No Shoes Nation when they come together. It’s the greatest high there is,” Chesney offers. “We’ve been pulling songs out that we’ve not played in years, so who knows?”

Tune in to “TODAY” Thursday morning, and find out. Check out “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” for more.

Chase Rice Performs "Hey God It's Me Again" on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" This Wednesday, Nov. 27

Country music powerhouse Chase Rice is set to deliver standout track “Hey God It’s Me Again” from his critically acclaimed independent album Go Down Singin’ on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” this Wednesday, Nov. 27. Airing just before Thanksgiving, the song’s reflective tone and heartfelt lyrics provide a poignant backdrop to the season of gratitude.

“Hey God It’s Me Again” has quickly resonated as a fan-favorite song on Go Down Singin’, an album heralded by critics as a bold and authentic statement of Rice’s artistic evolution. With deeply personal lyrics and stripped-back production, the song encapsulates Rice’s raw, introspective approach to storytelling. As Billboard declares, “his new music leans toward rootsier, raw-rock driven sounds, trading party anthems for introspective lyrical themes,” while “his voice conveys a crackling warmth of self-reflection and an easy-going comfortableness with his new sound.”

Rice’s performance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” is a fitting celebration of a year that has seen the artist redefine himself creatively, shifting away from commercial trends to embrace a sound that is undeniably his own. “This song is about gratitude and connection,” shares Rice. “It’s a conversation with God that I think a lot of people can relate to, especially this time of year.”

Critics have lauded Go Down Singin’ overall as a career-defining project, with the independent release marking a bold pivot in Rice’s career. Rolling Stone highlights the album as “an excellent collection of poignant, often anthemic country,” noting that it finds Rice “trying to do what creative people are supposed to: grow and change.” With songs like “Hey God It’s Me Again,” he showcases growth as a songwriter, weaving personal experiences into music that connects on a universal level. Holler called it “a defiant, autobiographical battle-cry...pervaded by warmth, acceptance, and self-awareness,” while Cowboys & Indians proclaims that “maturity and clarity are the reality on Chase Rice's new album…what is sure to be one of 2024’s most well-received country albums of the year.”

Rice further showcased this new direction with surprise follow-up project Fireside Sessions, which featuring all 25 songs from both Go Down Singin’ and prior album I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell as live, single-take versions with cowriters including Lori McKenna, Jackson Dean, Hunter Phelps, Randy Montana and more as featured artists.

For more information, visit ChaseRice.com and follow on FacebookTwitter/X and TikTok @ChaseRiceMusic and on Instagram @ChaseRice.

About Chase Rice
With more than 2.6 million albums sold and over 2.8 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With independent album Go Down Singin’ available everywhere now as the follow-up to the critically acclaimed I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, and both brought together on brand new offering Fireside Sessions, Rice’s sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life; from emotional reckoning to an admiration of the American West. The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, which featured his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.” and the Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.”

This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the 3x Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Platinum-certified Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; Platinum-certified “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Double Platinum “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to guesting on sold-out stadium shows with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice served as direct support on Dierks Bentley’s 2024 Gravel & Gold Tour and consistently sells out venues on his own headlining tours across the U.S. and beyond.

LAINEY WILSON SECURES CMA FEMALE VOCALIST OF THE YEAR FOR THE THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR

Lainey Wilson entered the 2024 CMA Awards as a host alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning for the first time this year and by the close of the show was awarded two CMA Awards including: Female Vocalist of the Year, her third consecutive win in the category, and Music Video of the Year for her #1 hit song “Wildflowers and Wild Horses.”

In her acceptance speech for Female Vocalist of the Year, Lainey shared: "I've always been told if you feel like you've got a gift, you're supposed to share it, and I think that means whether you drive a tractor or pour coffee, make people smile or laugh, whatever that is I think you're supposed to share that gift."

Throughout the broadcast, Lainey would take the stage for two performances — an emotive, cinematic adaption of her current Top 20 and rising Broken Bow Records single “4x4xU” from her 2025 GRAMMY-nominated Country Album of the Year, Whirlwind, and again for the George Strait tribute performing his signature “Amarillo By Morning.” Lainey's live adaptation of "4x4xU" will release tonight to all streaming platforms. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.

BMG Publishing was proud to see writer Dan Wilson capture a CMA Award for Song of the Year for “White Horse,” a track co-penned and recorded by Chris Stapleton.

In addition, 2025 GRAMMY nominee Jelly Roll, a three-time nominee at the 2024 CMA Awards, also hit the stage twice throughout the broadcast — first with Brooks & Dunn, 2024 Duo of the Year winners, for a powerful and moving performance of “Believe” that had the audience in tears and later with Keith Urban on his fiery Stoney Creek Records single “Liar” from his just-released Billboard 200 #1 album, Beautifully Broken.

In conjunction with the release of Tattoos, Gilbert brought together 118,000 people in downtown Nashville for Brantley Gilbert’s World’s Largest Album Release Party and recently wrapped his headlining Off The Rails Tour last Saturday in Macon, Georgia, with a portion of the proceeds from the final six shows going to Hurricane Helene relief efforts.

Miranda Lambert Brought “Wranglers” to NBC’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” Ahead of 9/13 ‘Postcards from Texas’

Clad in a denim-inspired Lauren Sussi outfit and the Lone Star-based Standard Hat Works hat that appears on the cover of her highly anticipated album Postcards from Texas, three-time GRAMMY Award-winner Miranda Lambert brought the heat to last night’s edition of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” treating viewers to a fiery performance of lead single “Wranglers.” The album, which arrives as her debut project for new label home Republic Records next Friday, Sept. 13, has already been named among the most anticipated albums of the year by VultureGRAMMY.comTexas Monthly and more. Pre-order / pre-save HERE and watch the performance Below.

Written by Audra Mae, Ryan Carpenter and Evan McKeever - based on a real woman-to-woman conversation between Mae and Lambert - the song arrived as the biggest-streaming debut of her 20+ year career and is now ascending the charts at country radio. In both a symbolic and physical return to Texas for the first studio album recorded by Lambert in her home state since her independent teenage debut, “Wranglers” was recorded at Austin’s legendary Arlyn Studios and produced by Lambert together with frequent collaborator Jon Randall, along with the rest of the forthcoming album, including liberated anthem “Dammit Randy,” humorous shuffle “Alimony” and free-spirited ballad “No Man’s Land”,” all also out now as early previews of the project.

“‘Wranglers’ is a classic tale of a woman taking her power back,” Lambert shared of the track upon its release. “I think we can all identify with the character in this song, because we have all had a time in our life where we needed to find our strength, and also get a little revenge on someone who did us wrong or hurt us. This offers such a cool, raging take on how something like this unravels; I am so proud to sing this song.”

“What results is a three-minute tale of the power and destruction of female rage,” declares Holler of the song. “With a foreboding drum roll, acoustic guitar and a sinister sounding whistle opening the track, Lambert’s signature Texas twang cuts through almost defiantly as Mae adds some chilling background vocals throughout. Fit with a strong and compelling chorus, ‘Wranglers’ showcases Lambert’s tried and true combination of country sensibility and high-octane, rock-infused instrumentation, that features sizzling guitar licks and a goosebump-inducing howl at the song’s close.”

The Postcards from Texas preview initially made its debut during her headlining set at Stagecoach Music Festival earlier this year, followed by the most-awarded artist in Academy of Country Music history performing the song live during this year’s ACM Awards show, with Billboard praising the “rocking performance of the scorching woman-done-wrong’s revenge tale, electrifying the crowd.”

The song “showcases her at her defiantly full-tilt best…. an instant classic stadium-ready anthem that exuberantly celebrates liberation from a bad situation,” adds Cowboys & Indians, with the Tennessean declaring that the “Wranglers” chapter of her storied career “finds her in greater control of her artistic and creative direction than ever” and Cowgirl Magazine celebrating it as “a heartfelt return to her musical roots, reminiscent of her earliest albums… blending traditional elements with modern flair.”

Following this week’s late night television appearance, Lambert will return to screens next Wednesday, Sept. 11 to serve as a presenter on the all-genre MTV Video Music Awards. She also took fans behind the making of the album with TalkShopLive, available to watch on demand here, and appears on the current covers of both Us Weekly and Nashville Lifestyles, with the latter declaring, “Lambert may call Nashville home, and she may revisit and draw inspiration from her home state Texas, but perhaps it’s being at home within herself and the authenticity that comes with it that has cemented her country star status and all that’s yet to come.”

About Koe Wetzel
Koe Wetzel never met a genre wall he couldn’t tear down: The Texas singer-songwriter has earned a rabid audience for his songs that mix country, rock, hip-hop, and even Nineties grunge. His 2016 album Noise Complaint endeared him to fans with its no- holds-barred lyrics about drunken nights, broken hearts and stints in jail, and included the Gold-certified hits “Love” (feat. Parker McCollum), “Something to Talk About” and the infamous “February 28, 2016.” Wetzel’s 2020 major label debut, Sellout, only furthered his legend with the Platinum-certified “Drunk Driving” and “Good Die Young” plus the Gold-certified “Kuntry & Wistern.” The 2022 follow-up, Hell Paso, hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Country Albums and spawned hits on both the country and rock charts, including the Gold-certified “Creeps” and “Cabo.” To date, Wetzel has 2.8 billion total streams and has created a genuine experience with his live concerts, which he describes as “total chaos.” In 2023 alone, he sold more than 275,000 tickets, and appeared for a third time on POLLSTAR’s Top Worldwide Tours. Wetzel has played prominent festival sets this summer and opened for Morgan Wallen on the superstar’s One Night at a Time Stadium Tour in Texas, while also headlining his own Damn Near Normal World Tour, currently underway. His new album, 9 Lives (Columbia), is available everywhere now as lead single “High Road” with Jessie Murph arrives as his debut Country radio single while also climbing both the Hot AC and Top 40 charts.

Koe Wetzel Makes Late Night Debut TONIGHT: “High Road” on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

Rolling Stone notes, “there’s an undeniable thrill” that comes with grunge-infused country rocker Koe Wetzel’s music, and with his first-ever single at Country radio, “High Road” featuring Jessie Murph already Top 40 on Billboard charts in just six weeks and two People’s Choice Country Award noms, his presence with new album 9 Lives is undeniable. After 8 years of building his touring base, the “ain't startin' my day until 2 a.m.-er” makes his debut on late night, naturally.

Tune in to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert TONIGHT at 11:35/10:35p CT on CBS/Paramount+ as Wetzel with Jessie Murph perform “High Road” in the iconic Ed Sullivan Theater.

Whiskey Myers Celebrate 5 New RIAA Certifications During "Fox & Friends" All-American Summer Concert Series

While appearing live on the “Fox & Friends” All-American Summer Concert Series today, Aug. 9, genre-bending band Whiskey Myers added to their Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) hardware with a surprise presentation of five new Gold, Platinum and multi-Platinum certifications (denoted with asterisks below), bringing their total to nine RIAA-certified hits, a rare feat for an independent band:

  • “Stone” (2x Platinum)*

  • “Bury My Bones” (Platinum)*

  • “Ballad of a Southern Man” (Platinum)

  • “Broken Window Serenade” (Platinum)

  • Firewater (Gold)

  • “Reckoning” (Gold)*

  • “Bar, Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd” (Gold)*

  • “Lonely East Texas Nights” (Gold)*

  • “Virginia” (Gold)

The chart-topping band performed two of those Platinum-certified songs, “Bury My Bones” and “Broken Window Serenade,” as well as fan-favorite “Die Rockin'” plus “John Wayne” and “Feets” off their latest album, Tornillo, lauded by Forbes as “difficult to categorize or pigeonhole because it’s uniquely their own... constantly pushing the creative envelope,” with Saving Country Music declaring the album to be “unapologetic and attitudinal,” noting, “Tonrillo brings an energy, drive, pluck, and abandon most of modern music in this repressed era has vacated due to fear of reprisal. Rock music needs saving too, and Whiskey Myers is here to pick up the slack."

Whiskey Myers' appearance comes as the band brings their high-octane live show celebrated by Holler as a “six-piece concoction of southern rock, blue-collar country and rock 'n' roll... solidifying Whiskey Myers' place among the leading jam bands of the 21st century” to Atlantic City, N.J. tonight, Aug. 9; Virginia Beach, Va. (with Hank Williams, Jr.) tomorrow, Aug. 10; and Selbyville, Del. on Sunday, Aug. 11 as their headlining run continues throughout the U.S. until November. Tickets to all dates are on sale now via WhiskeyMyers.com.

About Whiskey Myers
Genre-bending band Whiskey Myers have played more than 2,500 live shows to ever-increasing crowd sizes since their emergence in 2007. In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show in 2019. Their latest self-produced album, Tornillo, available everywhere now via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, features the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and follows their fifth studio album, Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 2.1 million albums and amassed over 3.1 billion streams while earning nine RIAA Gold & Platinum/multi-Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned sync success with multiple features (and the first on-screen musical guest appearance) in Paramount’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team,” among several others. USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”
