This Friday, April 30 marks the highly-anticipated release of Unstable, the groundbreaking sophomore full-length release by Los Angeles based breakout metal stars TETRARCH!

In celebration, the band is following up on their three huge singles "I'm Not Right", "You Never Listen" and "Negative Noise" with their fourth and final pre-album release single, "Addicted". The truly massive, spine-tingling endeavor showcases the captivatingly brooding and introspective side of TETRARCH, rounding out a dynamic group of hits.

Frontman and guitarist Josh Fore says:

"'Addicted' is a song about being consumed by something in life that to the outside eye may appear detrimental or dangerous. Even as our world may be spiraling away from us into chaos there’s something that draws us towards our obsessions. 'Now I can see that the joke is on me' is that moment of self-awareness: that we cannot escape who we are and that we are stuck in our own addictions."

This just in – TETRARCH is thrilled to announce that they’ll be performing with the likes of Chevelle, Sevendust and more on Saturday, June 26 in Oshkosh, WI at Ford Park Live, and Sunday, June 27 in Hoffman Estates, IL at Now Arena! Socially distanced pods are on sale this Friday at 11:00AM EDT. For more information, go to https://www.nowarena.com/ or https://fordparklive.com!

Upon release, TETRARCH's debut single, “I’m Not Right” cracked the Mediabase Active Rock Top 30 and has garnered over four million combined cross-platform streams to date. Follow up single "You Never Listen" is quickly rising up the Active Rock charts with SiriusXM, HardDrive, Full Metal Jackie and many more of the country's leading active rock outlets supporting, while in less than one month, most recent single "Negative Noise" has already garnered over 550,000 views on YouTube and counting, and has become one of the most highly-spun tracks currently airing on SiriusXM Liquid Metal.

Produced by the band and Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Allegaeon, Khemmis), Unstable follows the band’s breakout debut Freak (2017). The new album shines not only as a natural step forward for TETRARCH, but a giant leap ahead – an even more focused effort combining bright flourishes, grooving low-end and soaring choruses. Unstable wastes no time igniting with the unforgettable, punching first single “I’m Not Right”. Boosted by frontman Josh Fore’s raw emotion and dynamic vocal style, the track pays homage to the genre’s greats while lifted by the eerie leads of trailblazing lead guitarist Diamond Rowe. Radio-ready, lyrically-relevant tracks like anti-bullying anthem for the ages “Sick Of You” and empowering “You Never Listen” showcase TETRARCH’s hefty progressions and unforgettable choruses. Unstable’s heaviest offerings prove the band’s dynamic assault of varying heavy styles, most notedly on assertive breakneck burner “Negative Noise” – a track that will turn the heads of metal’s greatest riffers with Rowe’s mighty axe attack – and on the melodically chilling “Take A Look Inside”, highlighting the powerful rhythm section of bassist Ryan Lerner and drummer Ruben Limas. The album explores a brooding, introspective side of the band on the standout, melodic “Addicted” and closer track “Trust Me”, which trickles-in supernatural atmosphere. Delivering heavy hit after hit, Unstable is 10 tracks of pure potency and undeniable talent.

Lead guitarist Diamond Rowe says about the album:

“The album has an overall theme of self-reflection and really looking at the relationships or parts of yourself/your life that you don’t like and getting out of those situations. It’s an angsty record. Musically, we were not timid in showing that we refuse to be boxed in as artists, and I think we really came out swinging with showing the world the type of band that we want to be. Freak did great for us and showed us that the music we were making was something that people wanted to hear, and that gave us the confidence to write and record this beast of an album.”

Dutch psychedelic rock formation MOLASSESS has shared "The Devil Lives," the third single

Listen to the new single from psychedelic rock formation Molassess, "The Devil Lives", taken from the forthcoming album "Through the Hollow". Release Date: O...

From their upcoming debut full-length, 'Through the Hollow.' The new track "The Devil Lives" can be found along with an accompanying visualizer, which was created by S. de Jager

The band comments: "Our brother [Selim Lemouchi] left us this diamond in the rough years ago. A riddle that kept resonating and found its way up and into our hearts time after time. It is with great pride, eternal love, an ever-burning fire and gratitude that we finally managed to climb its stairs.

"This is what we’ve found along the way, beneath its stirring coils.
"THE DEVIL LIVES."

Featuring four musicians from THE DEVIL'S BLOOD, MOLASSESS was formed upon being commissioned for a performance during the 2019 edition of Roadburn Festival. Yet, MOLASSESS is not a continuation of a buried past, nor a celebration of a cherished collaborator, but a culmination of heartache, requisite resolution, a rediscovery of rage and the relighting of a fire that never really burned out.

'Through the Hollow" can be pre-ordered HERE.

MOLASSESS was beckoned to life as a commissioned performance for the 2019 edition of Roadburn Festival, five years after THE DEVIL’S BLOOD – a chaotic coterie of musical misfits lead by the efficacious guitarist Selim Lemouchi – ended their fever dance.

The invitation inspired new shoots of creativity to blossom where death had walked. THE DEVIL’S BLOOD’s supernal singer Farida Lemouchi formed new bonds with old cohorts Oeds Beydals, Job van de Zande, and Ron van Herpen (ASTROSONIQ), Bob Hogenelst (BIRTH OF JOY) and Matthijs Stronks (DONNERWETTER). Not a reunion, but a confirmation of deep binds and steadfast connections, much like the substance of their namesake – deep and all-consuming, and impossible to untangle.

Taking their name from the final song on Lemouchi’s solo EP ‘Earth Air Spirit Water’ – and tragically his last mortal offering before his death in 2014, the band is not a continuation of a buried past, nor a celebration of a cherished collaborator, but a culmination of heartache, requisite resolution, a rediscovery of rage and the relighting of a fire that never really burned out.

Recording the music of the Roadburn performance on a two-track single, MOLASSESS released ‘Mourning Haze / Drops Of Sunlight’ via Ván Records in 2019.  The circle was completed once more with the coming together of a tribe that had been torn apart but found their moment of re-connection: being together again, but also being something new.

Now, with the band’s first full length, MOLASSESS are setting out on a new path:

“Through The Hollow - She proudly carries forth seeds of the past, present and future and cuts loose entirely within the new sonic search of Molassess. An infinite search for personal and spiritual renewal, a remedy for reason and rationality. The state where earth and neither flow inseperable. The new light that follows the one great death.”

Dry Kill Logic release heavy new single “Don’t See Ghosts”

Dry Kill Logic's official visualizer for 'Don't See Ghosts', out now! Stream/Download: https://smarturl.it/dkl_dontseeghosts https://www.facebook.com/drykill...

Today, New York metal outfit Dry Kill Logic returned with the hard-hitting new single “Don’t See Ghosts”. Premiering on Revolver, the track stays true to the band’s masterful blend of nu-metal and metallic hardcore that has captivated fans over their 25-year career. “Don’t See Ghosts” flows through Cliff Rigano’s deep, soaring vocals cut between heavy breakdowns and top-shelf guitar shredding. Lyrically, the track is meant to conjure interpretations from each individual listener, creating a more personal attachment to the song. You can listen to "Don't See Ghosts" now on YouTube and find the track on Spotify and all streaming services tomorrow (9/18).

On the track, vocalist Cliff Rigano told Revolver:

“We’ve always tried to write songs that come from a personal place, but frame them in a way that can be interpreted to mean something different and unique to each listener. “Don’t See Ghosts” was recorded last year, right after we put out "Vices", but we were unsure of when to release it. After looking at the lyrics recently, the song actually started to mean something different to us as well, and we realized that this was the right time to put it out.”

The single was recorded at Intension Studios in Astoria, NY and Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, CT. It was produced by the band’s guitarist, Jason Bozzi, and mixed by Greg Thomas (Misery Signals, Shai Hulud). “Brendan (Kane Duff, bassist) brought Greg into the mix when it came time to record the new songs, and being fans of his other work, we were stoked that he wanted to get involved,” Rigano stated.

“Don’t See Ghosts” serves as the follow up to Dry Kill Logic’s 2019 single “Vices”, which marked the highly-anticipated return to the studio for the band after a prolonged absence of new music dating back to their 2006 full-length, Of Vengeance and Violence. The band will continue to release singles through their own label, Psychodrama Music Group, in partnership with eOne Music.

Alborn Debut EP 'Impairative' Available 8.28.20 from Imagen Records

A message from Alborn

https://youtu.be/S3L65foaQM8

Alternative metal band, ALBORN, have signed a distribution deal with Imagen Records (ADA, Warner Music). Their debut EP Impairative will release on August 28, 2020.

"When the opportunity opened up for me to sign Alborn to Imagen, I jumped on it. I've known these guys for years and have worked closely with them. The songwriting is so unique to me. It's fresh and not predictable. I think people will get so much out of what this band has to say," says Imagen Records' A&R Representative Morgan Rose.

Imagen Records' President, Bob Winegard, adds, "I'm excited to have them on our roster and I can't wait until people hear their new music."

“ALBORN RULES!” is a common war cry heard at any Midwestern Alborn show. The band’s fanbase is strong, travels relentlessly and grows with every performance.

Formed in 2016, Northern Illinois based alternative metal band Alborn consists of Justin Taylor (guitar/vocals), Alex Raser (drums/vocals), Zame Lewis (bass) and Nate Guske (guitar). Their sound has been compared to Deftones or a heavier version of Alice in Chains, but make no mistake, Alborn has created something unique, hard and melodic.

As a startup, Alborn existed only as a cover band under the name of Alborn Theory, but that’s not who they wanted to be. “I was working 70+ hours a week and my band was playing 4 hour shows ALL the time,” says Justin. The band shortened the name to Alborn and got to work creating the band they always envisioned. The hard labor paid off and resulted in them winning multiple Battle of the Bands competitions. For one of those, the grand prize was a studio session with Jose Urquiza of the band 3 Years Hollow and The Attic Recording Studios. As part of that session, another opportunity surfaced. Morgan Rose of Sevendust heard the demos and expressed interest in producing them.

As a result, in late 2018, Alborn tracked 10 original songs with Morgan and Jose. “I was brought in to do some producing with Alborn and what grabbed my attention immediately was that they refused to conform to a formula. They wanted to be themselves from the start. It’s rare to find a band so young not wanting to follow an easy trend. I was impressed right out of the gate," says Morgan Rose.

After tracking those 10 songs, Alborn started playing every live show they could and the fanbase just kept growing. In late 2019 and early 2020, Alborn started making moves. The band played a weekend of shows with Sevendust including a Champaign, IL, sellout. They then followed that up with sold out shows with Buckcherry and Adelitas Way. The momentum was building and so was the chatter. So much so, Imagen Records was interested in signing them. Meetings with radio executives were scheduled in New York and then... Covid 19 put the plans on hold.

In August 2020, the plans are no longer on hold. The band inked a distribution deal with Imagen Records (ADA, Warner Music) and are releasing their debut EP, Impairative on August 28th. The EP contains 5 songs: 4 originals and one killer cover of Alice In Chains' "We Die Young." This is just the start for Alborn. It’s a matter of time before Covid 19 passes and you hear the war cry “ALBORN RULES!”at a live show near you.

ALBORN is:
Justin Taylor: Lead Vocals & Guitar
Nate Guske: Guitar & Vocals
Alex Raser: Drums & Screams
Zame Lewis: Bass

VOUS AUTRES Shares Music Video for New Song, "Onde"

French post black metal formation VOUS AUTRES will be releasing the full-length 'Sel de Pierre' on September 25 via Season of Mist Underground Activists! The band has shared a video for their brand new song, "Onde,"

'Sel de Pierre' can be pre-ordered HERE.

Only a year after the full-length debut record, the French black metal band VOUS AUTRES return with their second album. ‘Sel de Pierre’ represents a shimmer of hope among the vast, dark soundscapes that this modern post black metal duo creates.

VOUS AUTRES is a two-headed post metal / black metal band hailing from Nantes, France. As enigmatic as it gets, the duo creates a dark, ambient, and tormented sound, blended into the everlasting retrieval of what seems forever lost to human's inherent evil.

Formed in 2017, band members ₣ and β introduced the world to their experimental and modern take on black metal with the debut EP ‘Trente Pièces d’Argent’.

Two years later, the transcendental and epic sophomore record ‘Champ du Sang’ (2019) followed. Always summoning the darkest and most sublime melody, VOUS AUTRES battled with their demons through powerful riffs and breakdowns, sounding like the trample of the marching feet of a thousand-men army, ready to engage in a one-way fight against their enemy.

The French black metallers now return with ‘Sel de Pierre’, an album where a glimpse of light cracks into the gigantic wall of despair and melancholy VOUS AUTRES used to build.

As sharp and beautiful as a blooming black thistle, ‘Sel de Pierre’ summons wide panoramas of nature: from the crumpled lands to the menacing seas, taking the listener from place to place without ever revealing when and where this unique sound came from.

The journey through ‘Sel de Pierre’ is as intense as its predecessors. Only now, hope is summoned into a place where is has no apparent meaning, yet it has a reason to be.

VOUS AUTRES is not just another French blackened metal sensation you have to keep an eye on, but a quantum leap into the epic proportions modern black metal can take.

Genre: Post black metal

IHSAHN TO RELEASE PHAROS

Pre-order new EP Pharos now. Get it here: https://Ihsahn.lnk.to/Pharos http://vevo.ly/u8Ej7a

THE SECOND OF TWO COMPANION EPs, ON SEPTEMBER 11

INCLUDES COVERS OF A-HA AND PORTISHEAD

Shapeshifting progressive metal pioneer IHSAHN will release Pharos, the second of two contrasting-yet-intertwined EPs, on September 11, 2020 via Candlelight Records.

Recorded at the artist's home studio, with additional drums by TOBIAS SOLBAKK at Jukes Joint StudioPharos is musically and conceptually a reverse image of Telemark, the first of the two linked EPs which was released back in February of this year.

Pharos is another triumph for one of the proud initiators of black metal. This polymathic composer, who has already leant his iconoclastic spirit to rule-breaking bands and projects, has yet again woven intricate, sonic landscapes that cement his status as a true musical alchemist.

Indeed, Pharos is the light to Telemark's dark. It features three original compositions and two covers: A delicate but true-to-the-original version of "Manhattan Skyline" by Norway's own pop progenitors A-HA (featuring LEPROUS frontman EINAR SOLBERG on vocal duties) and the haunting "Roads," originally recorded by British trip-hop collective PORTISHEAD.

GARGOYL Reveals New Album Details, Debuts First Single

Subscribe to Season Of Mist for new releases : https://som.lnk.to/YouTube 'Gargoyl' is out on October 9, 2020. Order here: North America: https://shopusa.sea...

Progressive grunge rockers GARGOYL, which features guitar virtuoso Dave Davidson (REVOCATION) and guitarist/vocalist Luke Roberts (AYAHUASCA), will be releasing their debut full-length on October 9 via Season of Mist! The cover artwork and tracklist for the self-titled offering can be found below. In conjunction with this announcement, the band has shared "Electrical Sickness," the first single from the record.

Vocalist/guitarist Luke Roberts comments, "This song is not meant to be a pleasant experience. There's a background static of anxiety and depression that seems to linger everywhere in our society. I would like to suggest it's time we look at these feelings in ourselves and take responsibility for them instead of taking them out on each other or trying to hide from them in all of our distractions."

GARGOYL's self-titled album is available for pre-orders HERE.

Gargoyl is many things at once, which, automatically subjects the band to the journalistic and fan guessing game/rite of passage as to what style they actually are. Their 11-song self-titled debut is progressive, atmospheric, heavy, technical and avant-garde; a blend of sounds that ultimately coalesce into a body of work that engages and challenges. That, in itself, covers a broad spectrum, but further inroads into Gargoyl’s sound continually reveal new elements of intrigue and persuasion. It is the beauty — and purpose — of the project.

Formed in early 2018 by guitarist Dave Davidson (Revocation) and guitarist/vocalist Luke Roberts (Ayahuasca), the groundwork for Gargoyl was laid when the two men met while on tour. The pair realized they shared a musical kinship and admiration for one another and made good on their word to see the project through. Gargoyl’s two-song Asomatous demo was released in March 2019, setting the stage for their eventual signing to Season of Mist and release of their debut LP this October. The album’s drums were recorded in July 2019 with Chris Johnson at GodCity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts; guitars were tracked with Greg Dawson at BWC Studios outside of Toronto. Vocals were recorded by Roberts at his home studio.

Gargoyl is completed by the virtuosic talents of bassist Brett Leier and drummer James Knoerl who collectively add further layers of intrigue and soul to the music. The collaboration between members opened up the creative floodgates and further expanded their sound. “The riffs were flowing out so fast,” remarks Davidson about the early stages of the writing process. “It was clear that these ideas were in the back of our minds waiting to come out.”

The music for their self-titled album was split evenly between Davidson and Roberts, with Roberts also penning the album’s lyrics and vocal melodies. “Working with someone in more of a 50/50 kind of collaborative style was new for me,” elaborates Davidson. “It’s nice having someone to split those writing duties with, someone who is just as invested in every little single intricacy and detail. It allowed me to function in a different sort of role, which was refreshing. I think that also led to more creativity because I’m writing in a different style, writing with all new members and taking on a different writing role in a band.”

The haunting and melancholic tonality of Roberts’ vocals is undoubtedly one of the primary facets of Gargoyl’s sound. Roberts’s layering, harmonies and inflection, at times, recall classic vocalists from the ’90s grunge era, but what really sold Davidson was his versatility and ability to contour his clean, distinctive vocals over unorthodox compositions.

As a result, Gargoyl’s debut successfully oscillates between unnerving, emotional segments, to progressive, Goth-tinged hard rock. Davidson and Roberts have crafted Gargoyl in such a manner that it refuses to be boxed-in. Davidson has already fielded quite a few assertions on Gargoyl’s sound — some have tagged it as grunge meets black metal, Queens of The Stone Age meets Voivod or even a jazzier version of Alice In Chains.

“Anytime a band has a lot of different influences…I think it’s important to have a clear vision and goal so that all those influences mesh together in a way that doesn’t sound forced,” says Davidson. “I wanted it to be a cohesive, artistic statement and I know that Luke does as well. I’ve always wanted to blend genres. In the truest sense of the word we’re ‘prog rock.’”

SUPREME UNBEING is a mysterious rock/metal bandThe first message, “You’ll Never Make It” is out today

"You'll Never Make It", the first message from Supreme Unbeing. Listen on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2A5XX9330cn5wnouz8SMAx?si=-mMq_JHXTgiqT-X1...

SUPREME UNBEING is a mysterious rock/metal band led by vocalist/prophet Zac Red who acts as the physical form of our collective consciousness, the ambient quantum entanglement of our most personal thoughts. After observing the world for some 30 years, he has assembled his fellow prophets D. Vine, Unknown and Al Mytee to shed some light over our present existence through the medium of heavy riffs, astounding solos, and philosophically intriguing lyrics.

The first message, “You’ll Never Make It” is out today on all streaming platforms, tells a very precise story of the human quest to understand his own existence, from creation through the present. The title “You’ll Never Make It” can be interpreted both pessimistically, as many humans fail to reach outside of the psychological cage we are all fostered into since physical birth, or provocatively, as a challenge for those who will continue to transcend the boundaries of the never-ending struggles of life.

SUPREME UNBEING is set to release additional messages/singles “Animals”, “Solution” and “Dreaming” to the public in the following months prior to the release of the debut full-length LP “Enter Reality” which is set to release on 10th October 2020.

Says EMP LABEL GROUP’S Thom Hazaert, “I received a strange, unmarked package in the mail one day; No return address, no information, just a hand recorded cassette tape, with the words “SUPREME UNBEING” written on it. Thankfully, I still own a cassette player, so I put it in, and couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I’m still not entirely sure who the band is, or what I signed (and I think they might actually be cartoons), but once I heard it, I just knew they had to be on EMP. The messages of Zac Red were just too powerful to ignore. And to be honest, it hasn’t left my cassette deck since.”

"Basically the song was inspired by my personal experiences in many toxic relationships that really took a mental toll on me over the years. Like our last release I like to write very relatable music so when people hear the song they know they are not alone in situations like these" says Daemien Drake, vocalist of the band.

New York’s Another Day's Armor is a band that could just as easily be at home in an arena as they would be in a rock club. The band started to create a buzz for themselves with their debut singles "Reflections" and "Simple As Sin” from their EP Phoenix, which was released January 2019. The band followed up with the successful song “Underneath” that is still climbing the Rock Radio charts.

Coming up in a time where very few bands put any emphasis into their image and persona, ADA pride themselves on standing out from the crowd both visually, and musically. With an image reminiscent of a time where rock was on top of the music world, Another Day’s Armor refuses to be just another “faceless” band, wanting their fans to feel connected to every member.

Another Day's Armor is:
Daemien Drake - Vocals
Nick Palma - Lead Guitar
Brian Kang- Rhythm Guitar
Joe Grunski - Bass
Alec Keshishian - Drums

New Album, Premonitions, OUT NOW!

Dark and violent shaded atmospheric black metal rises with Premonitions

Today the maestros of levitating bleakness, SOJOURNER, release their third single “The Event Horizon” and their new album Premonitions via Napalm Records.

The doom-inspired closing epos epitomizes the somber atmosphere of Premonitions. Radiating both melancholic and contemplative energy, “The Event Horizon” is the heaviest track the band has released – a weighty pinnacle of the initiated stylistic journey, showcasing both growls and stunning melodies that enrich the unmistakable sonic niche the group has established for themselves.

Singer Emilio Crespo states:

““The Event Horizon“ is a song where some of the worst feelings in someone can come to life. A sense of dread, loss, isolation and the overall sensation of nothingness takes over. I thought it would be fitting to take some inspiration from a black hole in space. To spiral until the point of no return (or in a black hole's case, Singularity). There can be hints of nihilism found in the song as well. When I listen to the song I can still immerse myself in the dark world we painted with the song and it stands as a very powerful track for me."

Guitarist Mike Lamb adds:

"On the first two albums we always had more triumphant closers, but after the year that we've all had we knew this album would end on a much darker note. The song is a very doom-inspired track that constricts at the end to mirror the audio equivalent of the song constricting to a point of no return, like its namesake. As an album closer we wanted it to mark a metaphorical definitive closing of this horrible chapter of our lives so that we can move onto new things as a band and as individuals."
