Today, BLOODSTAIN release their new single “Something Sinister” via Threeman Recordings / Sound Pollution. The track marks the band’s second release of the year and plays a key role in building momentum toward their debut album, set for release this fall.
With “Something Sinister,” BLOODSTAIN further sharpens their musical identity. The song is driven by a strong, cohesive riff structure, a well-defined dynamic progression, and a sound that fuses classic hard rock roots with a modern production suited for both streaming platforms and the live stage.
What distinguishes BLOODSTAIN in today’s expanding hard rock scene is their precision and instinct for songwriting dynamics. “Something Sinister” highlights the band’s ability to craft compelling hooks and sustain energy throughout, resulting in a track that resonates equally well in curated playlists and larger live settings, a balance many aim for, but few execute effectively.
The single also reinforces the band’s sonic direction, featuring a production that is powerful without excess, and aggressive while remaining accessible. Each element is carefully considered to strengthen their identity, making this release a strategically important step ahead of their upcoming album. It demonstrates not only consistency but also a clear sense of progression in their sound.
Alex Hellid (Entombed) comments:
“I am incredibly proud of what these guys have achieved so far, and being able to follow their development up close is truly fantastic. The sky is the limit! BLOODSTAIN is one of the most outstanding young hard rock bands right now — Sweden’s next major hard rock export!"
BLOODSTAIN formed in late 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden, and quickly became one of Sweden’s most talked-about new metal bands. Built on classic metal and thrash foundations—and sharpened by relentless rehearsal and stage time—BLOODSTAIN delivers fast, heavy songs with hooks, precision, and a youthful intensity that translates instantly live.
After a breakout year with the self-released debut EP 'I Am Death,' the band’s live momentum accelerated rapidly. In 2024, BLOODSTAIN’s Stockholm show at Debaser caught the attention of Alex Hellid (Entombed), leading to a long-term management and production partnership with Threeman Recordings.
2025 became the band’s “proof year”: festival appearances, headline-level crowd reactions, and high-profile support shows—most notably on tour supporting Dark Tranquillity (with Iceland’s Múr). BLOODSTAIN also continued building an audience that actually buys physical releases and merch—an increasingly rare advantage for a new band.
