The band gathered at Tom Hunting's house in the mountains where they produced and recorded Persona Non Grata from three home-built studios . Steve Lagudi was at the helm of engineering while the band enlisted Andy Sneap of Backstage Studios to mix the album. For the third time in the band’s history, they returned to Swedish artist Par Olofsson to create the album artwork.

WATCH MOD CLASSICTK - H8 (feat. Thom Hazaert) (Official Music Video)

Thrash band MOD ClassicTK released the official music video for the title track "H8" today. The single is from their new EP titled H8 that released to the masses on July 30th via Force 5 Records. The 5 song EP was produced by Tim McMurtrie and Eric Rachel and was mixed by Eric Rachel.

“When talks of a 30 year reunion failed, Kenny and I decided we were going to do this ourselves. We found a sick, shredding-throat vocalist in Donny 'The DRP' Polinske, formally of SORE & PRIMER 55, and asked my old friend James Demaria of Heathen & TOXXIK to smash down some drums and here we are over 34 years later, Donny is also the owner of Force 5 Records which put out the band's first EP H8." says Tim McMurtrie.

He adds, "This EP had me turning the power switch back on, putting my mindset back into the thrash classic sound that we helped to originate in the underground scene back in the 80's.
The crossover genre of Punk, Metal & Hardcore is what we bring back to the table on this 5 song banger. Together with Kenny’s undeniable bass tone and my riffing we sound like we never stopped playing together. Adding Donny and James to this EP broke down all the barriers put in front of them. They crushed this thing and people are noticing what’s transpired.
And with all the amazing tracks laced from the guest appearances of Michael J Romeo, Marc Rizzo and Thom Hazaert, this thing is truly what our true fans wanted since 87."

MOD ClassicTK features Tim McMurtrie (aka "The RIFFMASTER”) and Ken "ANGRY CORPSE” Ballone, the original founding members and unmistakable legendary ferocious rhythm section of M.O.D. Method of Destruction. Both performed on the classic first release USA for MOD in 1987 (Megaforce Records). Tim also toured on the 1988 HATE TANK TOUR opening up for Thrash legends Exodus for 60 plus show dates in the United States. In addition, Tim McMurtrie recorded and wrote over 90% of the 4th M.O.D. release RHYTHM OF FEAR in 1992 (Megaforce Records).

After some thought on the new project, a new recording and some brainstorming, Tim decided to not just do one record with 25 songs on it like the old days, but instead to record 5 EP’s with 5 songs on it and 5 different drummer’s, 5 different producers and possibly 5 different labels within a couple of years.

With a slew of special guest features from the Thrash, Hardcore, Metal, Punk & Hip Hop scenes as well to make this better than a reunion!

As tons of support grew in the scene the two Thrash Pioneers went all out and paired up with Felix Griffin (DRI), one of the most noted drummers in the crossover thrash genre, as well as James Demaria of Heathen & Toxxik. Walt “Monsta” Ryan is known for not only killing it on the drums but for being in some of thrash, hardcore and metal’s biggest bands. Dr. Chud of the Misfits and Michael Sabatini of Attacker joined for this onslaught of 5 Chapters of EP’s coming out from 2021-2022!

EXTINCTION A.D. RELEASE A SURPRISE EP OF COVERS EXCLUSIVELY ON BANDCAMP

Image 11-1-20 at 10.07 AM.JPG

COVERED ARTISTS INCLUDE, DRI AND THE DEAD KENNEDYS

Long Island Thrash masters Extinction AD have released a fist full of covers today exclusively on Bandcamp. The tracks are all covers of American Hardcore bands from the 1980s including DRI and The Dead Kennedys.

"Early 80's American hardcore is one of, if not my favorite era of music," says vocalist and guitarist Rick Jimenez. "I've always wanted to pay homage to it. Doing it through the lens of Extinction A.D. was not just a lot of fun, but put focus on how much things haven't changed since the Reagan era of the united states."

This is the first bit of music we're hearing from the band since the release of Decimation Treaty in 2018. The sophomore full length was recorded and mixed by Joe Cincotta (Suffocation, Obituary) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Iron Reagan, Converge, Obituary). It featured tracks such as “Secret Worlds,” "Age of Revenge," and "In The Wake of Uprising." Decimation Treaty was received well by critics as well. Metal Injection raved that "each song is consistently engaging, evolving and introducing something different as the record flies forward. It's a wild record that guarantees you'll be tossing yourself into a pit." Dead Rhetoric gets straight to the point proclaiming that Decimation Treaty is "all about the riffs."

Brazilian Thrashers NERVOSA Announce New Band Line Up!

Currently Working on New Music – Stay Tuned for More Details

Latest Album, Downfall of Mankind, out Now via Napalm Records

Order HERE

Brazilian thrash metal institution NERVOSA have announced their new band line-up! After a long and vigorous audition process, Prika Amaral – creator, founding member and guitarist of the band – is thrilled to announce that vocalist Diva Satanica (Bloodhunter), bassist Mia Wallace (Abbath & Triumph of Death), and drummer Eleni Nota (Mask of Prospero and Croque Madame) have all joined the force that is NERVOSA!

The choice to form a quartet instead of reinstating a trio was made to give NERVOSA a fresh approach and show another thrilling facet, but will in no way take away from the thrash/death essence they are renowned for. Fans can expect riffs with a lot of down-picking and a strong grip, fast and technical drums, a renewed and heavier bass with super aggressive thrash metal vocals.

NERVOSA guarantees that, as soon as live events can happen again, they will comply with their schedule and travel the world to bring their unique sound everywhere! The band is also pleased to state that they have begun working on new music. Stay tuned for more info!

Prika Amaral comments:

"It was an incredible experience to meet so many talented women. It was not easy to choose just one and being forced to say “no” to several really good musicians. But the question is beyond musical competence. It involves availability, professional posture, good communication, etc... I am very happy with the result and very confident. I already have a lot of new songs saved and we have already started writing. We plan to launch some new material online during self-quarantine downtime, as well. I guarantee that NERVOSA is coming with full strength."

NERVOSA are:

Diva Satanica (Vocals)

Prika Amaral (Guitar)

Mia Wallace (Bass)

Eleni Nota (Drums)
