SINOPTIK Release Music Video for New Single "The Call"

New Album 'The Calling' Out June 11th - PRE-ORDER

Ukrainian Psychedelic Prog-Rockers SINOPTIK have launched the pre-order for their highly anticipated new album 'The Calling', as well as releasing their fourth single from the record, titled "The Call". Filmed at the "Museum of Cosmonautics dedicated to Sergei Korolev" in the city of Zhitomir, Ukraine, "The Call" clocks in at over 9 minutes, and serves as proof that Sinoptik are not just here to rock, but also have a message in their music.

Sinoptik's new album 'The Calling' will be released on June 11th, 2021 via OneRPMand is now available for pre-order HERE.

Speaking on the themes lyrically and visually in the new video, the band shares: "'The Call', as well as the album title 'The Calling', is dedicated to the one who calls and to the one who hears the call. To the ones who sacrificed everything for their dreams and hopes, and proved with their work and minds that there are no boundaries and that anything is possible. This song is about the trueness and belief that continues to create peace and

saving humanity."

Vocalist/guitarist Dmitriy Afanasiev also remarks about the location where the video was filmed: "It took us a long time to figure out how to maximize the conceptual depth of the song this long without involving Netflix. We decided to focus on the places nearby and truly deserve the iconic status. In this case, such a place is the 'Museum of Cosmonautics dedicated to Sergei Korolev'. Space exploration is an important part of our country's culture, and we believe that this museum was the perfect place to remind the whole world where human space exploration began. People have stopped looking into the night sky, they've stopped dreaming ... and we want to remind them that this is vital for our civilization to move forward."

Working hand in hand with The Museum of Cosmonautics, the band decided to release the video for "The Call" on International Museum Day to amplify the importance of Art and Science working together and promote cultural development in the Ukraine well as worldwide.

SINOPTIK Drop New Single "Sell God's Number"

Band Announces New Album 'The Calling' - Out June 11th

WHAT THE MEDIA SAYS ABOUT SINOPTIK

"I like the fact they've got a keyboard effect that YES would have used in the '70s, but made it sound really contemporary. So YES sound effects meet contemporary rock"

Wyatt Wendels - Planet Rock Radio

“This is your best bet… well-produced, & I can’t help but think ”Jimi Hendrix Experience”, but with a 21st Century DYNAMO vibe.”

Dick Metcalf - Contemporary Fusion Reviews

“Sounds a bit like the Chemical Brothers covering a movement from Pink Floyd‘s Echoes.”

Tim Thornton - Huffington Post

Ukrainian Occult-Rock trio SINOPTIK continues to march toward the release of their new full-length album, and the next mile marker on said journey has arrived with the band's new single "Sell God's Number". In addition to the new single, Sinoptik have announced a release date of June 11th, 2021 for the group's new studio album 'The Calling'.

The video for Sell God's Number was filmed at the Korostyshev Boarding School in Ukraine, where Sinoptik were invited and welcomed with a unique opportunity to inspire the children with their music, but they were the ones left feeling truly inspired.

Frontman Dmitry Afanasiev spoke about how the video and the collaboration between Sinoptik and the boarding school came to be.

"In December 2020 a volunteer from the Korostyshev Boarding School got in contact with me. He asked if we as a band could come and visit the kids and spend some time with them. In total there are 100 children who attend the school and 50 of them live there permanently because they have no parents. All of the kids have a variety of mental or physical disabilities, and some of them are victims of domestic violence. We wanted to show their everyday life and draw attention to this problem so we thought it would be a good idea to raise awareness by filming the experience.

We came to this school and had a real party with live music for these kids. We brought some presents for them, had lunch together and played games outside. We had a filming plan, but the kids actually made it even better with their actions and energy. I hope that all the children will remember this day for the rest of their lives.

These children are one on one with their battles, incomparable with petty everyday troubles of other people. Each such child is a real superhero, because day by day they fight and they win."

Sinoptik have stated that the new single "Sell God's Number" is also a song about freedom of choice...

"This song is about choices, and quite often we don’t appreciate that we actually have the possibility to choose. We frequently make choices recklessly and after choosing, go towards the goal just to abandon it as soon as obstacles arise. Every time you make a choice or leave your path, remember the people who did not have a choice from the very beginning, but still go all the way. "

The city of Kiev has been seen to produce some notable musical exports of late, with bands like Jinjer and Stoned Jesus leading the charge. Since 2014 Sinoptik were forced to move from their war-torn city of Donetsk to Kiev, and their experiences of being treated like second class citizens despite Ukraine being their native home has now seen them throw their hat in the ring as a band with a story to tell and music to be heard.

Fusing together 1970's occult rock influences with huge stadium rock production - Ukrainian Power Rock trio Sinoptik manages to pay homage to the classic era of rock bands whilst injecting a contemporary edge that makes their songs truly unforgettable, but also unmistakably Sinoptik.

Pre-order for Sinoptik's studio album 'The Calling' will be revealed in due course, but the artwork has now been revealed.

Sinoptik's previous singles "Black Soul Man" and "Apple Tree" will also be featured on 'The Calling'.

Dmitriy Afanasiev says this about the meaning behind "Black Soul Man".

"Music is a tool, which should have a clear message - to change the world for the better. 'It’s your time to change the fate' is our main message in this song, as each of us can change his or her own destiny. And if we are united all together we have the power to alter the fate of humanity and the world. We all can change and make our planet a better place by becoming kinder to each other, more understanding and tolerant. We need to build a new future now. Now is the time for us to unite, but most of the people don’t seem to comprehend that."

The trio, who were coined as 'The World's Best Rock Band' by the Berlin Global Battle of the Bands event in 2016 - has also seen performing at Kiev's 80k capacity stadium and supporting acts such as Uriah Heep, Jinjer, and more.

Lead singer Dmitriy Afanasiev says this about "Apple Tree"

"Sparks of goodness from our childhood often become the main triggers for our inner transformations - that is the main message of the Apple Tree song. Most people forget about the dreams they had in childhood and adolescence. The bottom line is – we all build our own reality, but too often we forget about it. We also forget what the real values in our life are: families, friends, and simple joys. We want to remind everyone about this and pull out the forgotten sweet childhood memories. So that each person who has gone astray can believe in himself again."

SINOPTIK Release Music Video for New Single "Apple Tree"

Ukrainian Psychedelic Prog-Rock trio SINOPTIK are eager to share another offering from the upcoming new studio album. The group has released the track "Apple Tree", along with an accompanying music video for the song. "Apple Tree" is available now on the major streaming platforms via the link here: https://ffm.to/apple_tree.opr

Speaking on the themes addressed in their new single, the band shares:

"Sparks of goodness from childhood often become the main triggers for our inner transformations - that is the main message behind Apple Tree. Most people forget about the dreams they had in childhood and adolescence. As a result, these people grow up and turn into callous and narrow-minded adults. In their lives, there is no place for magic and love, and life ultimately becomes an endless rat race in a maze of cruel reality."

The music video for the "Apple Tree" is a bold experiment; starting from the shooting location and up to the unique homemade video lens. The band set out to show beauty and boldness by adopting these new approaches. Accelerated shooting mechanics, psychedelic colors, and a deserted, forgotten place. All of this becomes a narrow bridge of surrealism, which leads the viewer into a vivid and amazing dream. The video for "Apple Tree" is the second collaboration between the band and director Shah Talifta.

Offering some closing thoughts on the track, vocalist Dmitriy Afanasiev states,

"Ultimately, we all build our own reality, but too often we forget about that. We also forget what are the real values in our life: families, friends, and simple joys. We want to remind everyone about this and pull out the forgotten sweet childhood memories. So that each person who has gone astray can believe in himself again."

"Apple Tree" is the second offering from Sinoptik's upcoming new studio album. Fans can check out the music video for the first single "Black Soul Man", here: https://youtu.be/OO2DBSeIz94

New Studio Album Coming In 2021

Ukrainian rock trio SINOPTIK are pleased to share the first offering from their upcoming studio LP. The group has released their new single and accompanying music video for "Black Soul Man", which fans can check out here. The occult and otherworldly track is inspired by the band's experiences after relocating from their war-torn home city of Donetsk to Kiev in 2014, after which they found themselves treated like enemies and second-class citizens by their own countrymen.

Lead singer Dmitriy Afanasiev talks about his experience of moving to Kiev.

"We had to leave our home and move to Kiev, and this where we as native Ukrainians were treated as some sort of second class citizens. So many people like us were segregated and oppressed just on the basis of the city of origin, where we were born. We were told that we are different and it's our fault the war started. We were faced with radical social segregation and inequality, in our own country with people of the same race. We do understand that this oppression is initiated and supported by politicians, but society is now responsible for this too"

The music video for "Black Soul Man" illustrates a well told story of a mysterious character, who gives people a second chance to live on this planet. He believes in the goodness of each person, and offers them to rethink their ways and live a new better life. Even though he is killed, he keeps resurrecting and brings people back to life, hoping that one day someone will understand his ideas and implement them in their lives

Dmitriy Afanasiev says this about the meaning behind "Black Soul Man".

"Music is a tool, which should have a clear message - to change the world for better. “It’s your time to change the fate” is our main message in this song, as each of us can change his or her own destiny.
