THE DEVIL'S TRADE Shares Live Video for "Dreams from the Rot"

Dark folk singer-songwriter THE DEVIL'S TRADE is now releasing a brand new live video for the track "Dreams for the Rot!" The video was shot during a live performance at the prestigious Roadburn Redux festival that took place in 2021 and celebrates the artist's upcoming live performances, which are scheduled for April throughout Europe! The video can now be viewed below.

The full performance of the show will be released on all digital platforms on April 15, 2022.

Mastermind Dávid Makó comments on the video: "Roadburn Redux got me in a period when you could not really complain as everyone was hurt in a way and we all had to face the same or similar struggles and losses. It happened to be the lowest period of my life so far where dark and sad meant nothing anymore I just got completely empty and hopeless and finally I got to a point where I had to find professional support to be able to get up and move on. Roadburn Redux was one of the very few things that could give me a reason to try to act like everything was normal while inside I was completely dead. I am so grateful for this opportunity and so glad to be able to share this concert with you all! Keep on going!"

THE DEVIL'S TRADE is supporting their 2020 release, 'The Call of the Iron Peak,' which can be streamed, downloaded, and ordered HERE.

The Iron Peak; a mystical place where one once found his long lost peace total silence and home. Where he would return when his time to come to pass away. A place that has became a materialization of everlasting freedom cut from society and all earthly struggles. As ancient beliefs says heaven is a place where we found peace with our loved ones in life the Iron Peak is some kind of heaven.

Listen to the call of the Iron Peak as it is calling for you to find your true self in a world you want to be isolated from. It is calling for you to make peace with yourself, with the inevitable end. It is calling for Hungarian singer-songwriter Dávid Makó, who redefined himself as THE DEVIL'S TRADE a few years ago, embarking on a long journey with his deeply personal and dark, sometimes doom infused folk songs.

Be it the folk of the Appalachians, the tales of Hungarian and Transylvanian traditionals, THE DEVIL'S TRADE fuses his past of metal and his roots laying deep in the folk songs of his immediate surroundings.

Very much like how the Iron Peak, a mountaintop both metaphorical and literal is calling for Makó, he is calling for you to share his rituals of loves and hopes lost and found along the pilgrimage of his. It is after all, the journey itself that matters the most, and how you adapt. From basements in his hometown of Budapest, to all corners of Europe, stages small and big, THE DEVIL'S TRADEhas been relentlessly walking on his path finding his voice and calling, and that is to let listeners to glimpse into himself through his heart wrenching songs.

His new album, and his debut for Season of Mist, titled 'The Call of the Iron Peak' will be released on August 28th 2020, preceded by a tour in April 2021 alongside UK singer-songwriter Darkher and Swedish neofolk/ambient artist Forndom.

AUTARKH Shares "Clouded Aura" Performance Clip from Roadburn Redux

Dutch extreme metal outfit AUTARKH are now unveiling their live Roadburn Redux performance of the song "Clouded Aura," which is taken from the band's debut record, 'Form in Motion.' The clip can be found below.

The band has also announced a string of Dutch shows for 2021! The full run of dates can be found below!

AUTARKH comments: "It seems that parts of the world are able to open up again after various periods of lock downs. The shows that we have played so far this year were for camera’s only at first, for instance our performance at Roadburn Redux festival of whom we like to share this video of ‘Clouded Aura’ with you. Then we did a couple of shows for a seated audience in June and July – now we hope to be able to play these upcoming shows for a full crowd of music enthusiasts. We would be delighted to see you there!"

ICYMI: AUTARKH have recently been featured on the national television show 'Muziekstad' (Music City), from the Dutch broadcasting company 3Voor12/VPRO. In the 30-minute short documentary, founder Michel Nienhuis explains his take on the heavy music scene of the city of Tilburg (NL), which is a fertile ground for the arts. The TV show also features Autarkh's first ever live performance of the tracks "Turbulence" and "Alignment." Check out the documentary HERE (English subtitles are available.)

To misquote Allen Ginsburg "the circle DODECAHEDRON is broken. But with death comes rebirth." AUTARKH takes a radical approach to their musical assault, consuming the listener with dizzying maelstroms of chaos. ‘Form In Motion’ embodies the word “extreme,” putting forth an intrusive battery of blistering guitars, pummeling drums, spastic math metal salvos and cacophonous electronics that culminates in one of the most robust and daring debut records metal has seen yet.

'Form in Motion' is out NOW! Stream/download/order HERE.

From the fertile grounds of Tilburg (NL) rises new contemporary metal outfit AUTARKH, a group of musical extremists dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the auditory senses. Autarkh is the brainchild of Michel Nienhuis, founding member and composer/guitarist of DODECAHEDRON. Dodecahedron released 2 albums on the French record label Season Of Mist in 2012 and 2017 and has played at Inferno festival (NO), Reykjavík Metalfest (IS) Brutal Assault (CZ), Roadburn Festival (NL) and Eurosonic (NL) amongst others.

Death and illness was closing in on Dodecahedron, triggering a conceptual transformation that was necessary to effectuate Nienhuis’ artistic development. In the fall of 2019 Nienhuis teamed up with producer Joris Bonis (Dodecahedron, Ulsect), guitarist David Luiten and electronic composer / producer Tijnn Verbruggen, a set of musicians with backgrounds ranging from metal to techno. Autarkh’s first full length album ‘Form In Motion’ will be released the 12th of March 2021 through Season of Mist records.

AUTARKH takes a unique position in the world of extreme metal. Synthetic, IDM-style beats and glitch effects - reminiscent of those produced by artists such as Aphex Twin and Autechre - are perfectly balanced with overwhelming riffs and vocals that range from dark growls and exasperating screams to semi-clean harmonies. Together with fluttering blast beats, dense bass lines and eerie soundscapes these elements produce an intense and crystal clear tunnel of sound where the energy of contrasting emotions is constantly felt.

‘Form In Motion’ feels like an evolution in both sound and lyrical content from the two albums Nienhuis released with Dodecahedron. Musically, because of the radical approach the band takes with their rhythm section; lyrically because the album is more about a personal experience of human nature and the nature of the universe. The album takes us from unraveling storms and destructive chaos to transformation, liberation and fundamental shifts in understanding in order to align with the divine. That progression is also present in a linear sense – the intrusive uneasiness the album starts with gives way to a sense of epic victory towards the end.

Give yourself the opportunity to dive into this radical exploration of sonic and spiritual ideas and allow yourself to get inspired by what AUTARKH has to offer.

EMPTINESS Releases Live Video from the Roadburn Redux Festival

"Emptiness is an old man, isolated for too long, bitter, he's changing again."

Belgian dark metal outfit EMPTINESS are now releasing their full concert performance that aired via the Roadburn Redux Festival! The virtual edition of the prestigious festival took place in April 2021! The EMPTINESS show can be watched in its entirety via the official Season of Mist YouTube channel below

EMPTINESS is supporting their latest album, 'Vide,' which is out now and is completely produced by vocalist/bass player Jérémie Bézier, who is trying to create something authentic and avoid all external energies. The tracking mostly happened during the Belgian lockdown, in his apartment and rooftop 7th floor in Brussels.

Stream, download, and purchase 'Vide' HERE.

The shape-shifting Belgian quartet EMPTINESS returns with 'Vide,' their first new album in four years. 'Vide' (the French word for empty) sees the band veer away from the mechanical foreboding of 2017's 'Not For Music' into a more introspective and deconstructed direction. It unfolds like a fever dream, with each track falling into hazy rhythmic patterns and featuring haunting vocals that hang in the ether.

Founded in Europe's center of gravity, Brussels (BE), in the year 1998, EMPTINESS embarked on their musical journey with a burning vision to delve deep into darkness and horror. While the band was taking musical inspiration from different extreme styles such as black and death metal, the Belgians approached the music in an open minded manner of continuous experimentation.

Following their inception, EMPTINESS first released the two demos 'Eternal Rising' (2000) and 'Necrorgy' (2002) that received a remarkable welcome in the underground. Yet with each new album, 'Guilty to Exist' (2004), 'Oblivion' (2007), 'Error' (2012), and 'Nothing but the Whole' (2014), the Belgians were also increasingly leaving a mark in mainstream music press.

EMPTINESS scored the devil's luck and won the perfect production set-up to create new sinister soundscapes during the recordings of 'Not For Music' in 2017. After recording in their own Blackout Studio, the Belgians received an invitation to further enhance the production of 'Not for Music' by Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez (MARILYN MANSON, A PERFECT CIRCLE, NINE INCH NAILS). The final mix and mastering was done by Sean Beavan (GUNS N' ROSES, NIN, SLAYER).

'Vide' (2021) was meant as a claustrophobic album, a journey of an infinite mind stuck into a world too small. Questioning the essence of once perceptions, this album invites you to rethink your grasp of reality. To that end, it was important for EMPTINESS to be isolated during its experimentations. Recordings would take place sometimes in confined spaces like apartments or a cabin in the woods, and sometimes on a city roof allowing to contemplate a strange human world from above. Involvement was strictly limited to the band members who took care of all audio production and visuals work. The pandemic and lockdown happened while recording was in progress; a materialization of the imaginary world being created. The album either by coincidence or not, is in tune with our dissonant times.

REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER Shares Full Roadburn Redux Performance

French black metal formation REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER are now releasing the full live performance of their set from Roadburn Redux's online festival. The band played their 2020 full-length 'Ascension' in full.

'Ascension' is available to stream, download, and purchase HERE.

France's REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER rose from the shadows in 2013 with a massive self-titled album released through Les Acteurs De L'Ombre Productions. The band instantly imprinted its vision on the metal community: an epic blend of atmospheric black metal, sludge and death metal spreading out a dark universe inspired by the sacred scriptures.

In 2015, the second full length 'Exile' came out and intensified the quintet’s music, bringing in more extreme influences and developing a dramatic sense of narration through cunningly balanced songs.

REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER earned the respect from metal fans with intense and ritualistic live shows and the band’s mystic aura thrilled audiences at Hellfest, Roadburn Festival and Dour Festival. Performances at multiple clubs across Europe followed alongside DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT, YOB, ENSLAVED and AMENRA.

In 2020, the French band will return with the closing chapter of their trilogy, called 'Ascension'. Continuing the narration after 'Exile', the record marks an end and a new beginning. Joining forces with Season of Mist for the release of this album, REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER herald a new era and a new order with their own fuse of black metal.

REGARDE LES HOMMES TOMBER deliver a unique creation about the most remarkable protagonists from the holy writings. All trapped by fate, the inevitable way to toward loss and defeat. All starts and all ends with a fall.

NERO DI MARTE Shares Clips from Roadburn Redux Performance

Progressive experimental masters NERO DI MARTE have released a performance video for the songs "L’Arca" and "Sisyphos" from their livestreamed Roadburn Redux set! This was the first time the band played live in their brand-new line-up that includes guitarist Alessio Cattaneo and bassist Georgio Figà Talamanca. NERO DI MARTE’s set during the online festival can be viewed HERE.

The band comments: "We're happy to publicly share the set we recorded for Roadburn Redux 2021... Even if the experience was online, it was an awesome event which brought us together by sharing new, forward thinking music. It was an honor to be a part of it. We're now hard at work on new material in the hope that things will open back up soon."

The tracks were taken from the band's 2020 opus, 'Immoto,' which can be streamed, downloaded, and purchased HERE.

Since 2012, NERO DI MARTE have been devoted towards creating experimental, yet heavy music contaminated by prog, death metal, psychedelia and contemporary classical music. The dissolution of these different influences creates a space in which dissonance, melody, claustrophobic and dreamlike atmospheres become instinctively juxtaposed.

After forming in 2012 and shortly after releasing their self-titled debut album 2013, NERO DI MARTE was asked by the mighty Luc Lemay of GORGUTS to tour North America with the legendary death metal band. Following the success of the tour, the band entered the studio in 2014 to record their second album "Derivae", released later that year.

Both albums received critical acclaim, and the band dedicated the following years to performing live, culminating in a European tour with GORGUTS and PSYCROPTIC in 2016 and performances in festivals such as Royal Metal Fest (DK), Stonehenge Fest (NL), Metalorgie Fest (FR), Krakatoa Fest (IT) and Solo Macello Fest (IT).

With drummer Marco Bolognini leaving in late 2016, the band recruited drummer Giulio Galati (HIDEOUS DIVINITY) in early 2017 to continue composing their third album. After 5 long years of work and transformations, the band finally completed writing and recording their upcoming album 'Immoto' once again at Studio73 (IT) with the help of sound engineer Riccardo Pasini.

Though not a "concept album", as each song goes into a very specific and unique direction both musically and lyrically, there is an overall underlying theme in 'Immoto': creating a motionless, transformative space within ourselves from which creativity, actions and relationships can manifest in a more meaningful way.

Style: Experimental Post Metal

Giulio Galati - Drums and percussion
Andrea Burgio - Bass
Francesco D'Adamo – Guitar
