Rising rock band SHALLOW RISING is set to release their powerful new single “Lens Of Time,” a track that blends emotional depth, soaring melodies, and cinematic intensity into a song that resonates long after the final
note fades. The track features SHALLOW RISING drummer Chris Adler, the critically acclaimed musician known for his work with Lamb Of God and Megadeth.
With “Lens Of Time,” SHALLOW RISING explores the idea of looking back at life through the perspective of experience — the memories, the regrets, the victories, and the moments that shape who we become. The song captures the feeling of reflection and growth, wrapped in a sonic atmosphere that is both haunting

‘Lens of Time’ was the first song we ever started writing together back in 2022. It went through multiple identities and evolutions before becoming what it is now. It’s dark, urgent, and cinematic the kind of track that feels like it belongs at the end of a dystopian thriller. It carries tension without offering easy answers, and that’s exactly why it mattered to us enough to keep rebuilding it until it hit.”

SHALLOW RISING is a modern rock band with one goal: to destroy the expectations that title brings with it.The quintet - Alex Villarreal (Vocals), Tim Ossenfort (Guitar), Taylor Brandt (Bass), Tim King (Keyboards), and Chris Adler (Drums) draw from a diverse bank of influences to craft something unique but archetypical.The band came to life one winter in a cold basement in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., where Ossenfort started writing demos and sharing them with his friend Chris Adler. The duo initially met at a recording session in Nashville, becoming good friends and later working together on a hardcore project.
Ultimately, they decided to take these new demos to the studio in LA, accompanied by Taylor Brandt. After some work it became obvious what was missing, and they added
Tim King onto the team. King, Brandt, and Ossenfort had all previously toured the country together extensively. Finally, Ossenfort reached out to Alex, another longtime friend, and the new group spent the next year rewriting their songs. Bringing together influences ranging from alternative rock, 70s prog, djent, EDM, pop, and metalcore, SHALLOW RISING provides listeners with a sound that is fresh, yet familiar.
