Jason Aldean celebrated a monumental career milestone backstage at his sold-out Double Down Tour date in Washington, D.C., where two of his biggest hits, “You Make It Easy” and “Dirt Road Anthem,” were honored with official RIAA Diamond certifications- an official career first for the Georgia native. Aldean was surprised backstage last night with the Diamond certifications, which recognize the enduring success of two songs that have become defining moments in Aldean’s catalog and during his live shows. The historic achievement comes on the heels of a remarkable run of new RIAA certifications for Aldean. Earlier this month twelve of Aldean’s albums and singles received new Platinum certifications, including My Kinda Party (6× Platinum album). Newly Diamond certified “Dirt Road Anthem,” from his multi-Platinum My Kinda Party album, became one of the signature breakthrough anthems of Aldean’s career, while “You Make It Easy” became and has remained a continuous fan favorite following its release.
