In honor of the 40th anniversary of iconic thrash metallers ANTHRAX, Finland's OCEANHOARSEhave released a cover version of the band's classic "Only". Coming along as a lyric video and in the unmistakable & groove-laden style of OCEANHOARSE, this version should not only please die-hard fans.

"James Hetfield once called Only 'a perfect song'. Well, we wholeheartedly agree! As huge fans of the John Bush-era Anthrax, we wanted to record our version of this 90’s classic, to celebrate Anthrax’s 40th anniversary. We stayed pretty loyal to the original, but did Hoarse-fy it just a bit to make it our own. Enjoy!"

After the previously- released singles "One With The Gun" and "Reaching Skywards", today OCEANHOARSE have released a brand new lyric video for the track "The Damage". If you’re a fan of Machine Head, Megadeth and other riff-oriented metal masters but still got a secret crush for Alice in Chains or Avenged Sevenfold -type melodic choruses, you don't want to miss this!

"The Damage' is a heavy metal anthem that begins with a moody guitar intro followed by haunting vocals. Then, the song takes a sudden U-turn and drags you in the middle of a metal mayhem filled with some lightning fast drumming! The Alice in Chains style wailing vocal harmonies and the song's epic closure with harmonized guitars ultimately leads us to the punchline: 'The damage is done.'' the band comments.

Oceanhoarse Premieres Brand New Lyric Video for "Reaching Skywards"!; New Album, Dead Reckoning, to be Released August 20th

Helsinki-based Heavy Fucking Metal (patent pending!) group Oceanhoarse have released their new single "Reaching Skywards" today. With its in-your-face metal riffing, 90's style psychedelia and astral beauty of the chorus, this is quite possibly the most versatile Oceanhoarse song to date.

"'Reaching Skywards' is my favorite track from our upcoming album” drummer Oskari Niemi announces. “It kicks off with some eardrum-slapping metal before the verse brings a dose of funk to your afternoon, and finally the chorus lifts you up into the skies. This has to be the most twisted combination of grooves so far in our catalog! I rarely get emotional, but Joonas' (Kosonen, vocals) screams in the second half of the song always give me chills."

"It's a never-ending source of amazement to me how some people have no issues exploiting others and watch the world burn around them while they keep getting wealthier and more powerful. There's nothing scarier than inhumanity and lack of compassion. I find myself leaning towards these topics time and again when writing lyrics” guitarist Ben Varon continues.
