Music Row for MusiCares: A Jody Williams Songs Takeover Lights Up Chief’s on July 27

A special evening of songs and stories is set to shine on Broadway this summer as Music Row for MusiCares: A Jody Williams Songs Takeover, presented by the Eric Church Band and Corient, lights up Chief’s on Broadway on Sunday, July 27, 2025. The Eric Church Band (Jeff Cease, Lee Hendricks, Jeff Hyde, John Henry Trinko, Driver Williams, Craig Wright, Joanna Cotten) has organized a cast of some of Nashville’s most dynamic and acclaimed songwriters for a powerful evening of music, storytelling and giving back.

Leading the lineup is Big Machine Records recording artist Jackson Dean (“Don’t Come Lookin’,” “Heaven’s To Betsy”) who will perform along with celebrated Jody Williams Songs writers Driver Williams (“Smoke A Little Smoke,” “Hang Tight Honey”, “Heaven’s To Betsy”), Jason Nix (“Hang Tight Honey,” “Things A Man Oughta Know”) and Jeremy Spillman (“Sinners Like Me,” “Bad Mother Trucker”), plus artists Emily Ann Roberts, Harper O’Neill, Peytan Porter and Andy Austin, along with other very special surprise guests. Collectively, their work has shaped the sound of modern country music, with hits recorded by Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Ashley McBryde, Keith Urban and many more.

Ticket proceeds will benefit MusiCares, a nonprofit that provides vital health and human services to members of the music community.

Since 2012, the Eric Church Band has helped raise more than $3 million through its annual ECB Golf Tournament and Auction, with proceeds benefiting MusiCares. Music Row for MusiCares is a continuation of that mission, extending the band’s legacy of philanthropy and deep connection to the songwriting community.

Members of The Church Choir, Church’s passionate fanbase, can purchase tickets June 4 at 12pm CST. The public on-sale will follow on Friday, June 6 at 12pm CST, with ticket prices starting at $25. There will also be a limited number of pre-show VIP Meet & Greet Experience ticket upgrades available.

“Aldean was one of those guys coming up that I looked up to as he’s a great song guy,” elaborates Gilbert. “Back in the day, he cut a couple songs of mine, ‘My Kinda Party’ and ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ and he turned both of those into big ole hits, and I’ll forever be thankful for that.”

“Writing a song and having Aldean cut it is one thing, and that’s something I’ll always be thankful for and is a blessing in itself,” Gilbert adds. “But to be able to do a song with him, well, it’s a whole other level.”

“We go on a writer’s retreat every year southwest of Houston, Texas, and we do a little bit of hog hunting and write a bunch of songs. I was actually in the other room when this one started,” shares Gilbert. “Taylor Phillips called me over, and he, HARDY, Brock Berryhill and Randy Montana were in the bus writing ‘Rolex® On A Redneck.’ I put my two cents on it, and it was one of those songs that when you hear it for the first time, it’s just fun.”

“It’s a little outside the box – it’s a sound we haven’t really done in a while, so it was really cool to be able to jump on it,” he explains. “We’re super proud of it, and we just hope folks dig it.”

Along with joining writer retreats with new friends and longtime collaborators, Gilbert has been back in the studio preparing new music to be announced later this year.

Incendiary guitarist and solo artist, JOHN 5, dropped his brand new, cinematic music video for epic track, "Land of The Misfit Toys". The new music video is set in 1980 and tells the tale of a young John Lowery who stumbles into a haunted house and becomes possessed by an entity. This entity gradually turns him into the guitar shredding, face-painted icon we all now know as JOHN 5. "Land Of The Misfit Toys" is taken from JOHN 5's brand new solo album, SINNER, which was released on Friday via Big Machine Records and is available everywhere now. Speaking on the new track and accompanying video, JOHN 5 shares:

"Land Of the Misfit Toys" is my favorite track on the record. It's a real epic and the longest track on the new album. I was watching a documentary on David Foster and how he would produce, arrange and build songs which really influenced me on the arrangement and production of this track. The camera that was used to film the video for "Land Of The Misfit Toys" was the same camera that was used to film the new Matrix movie that is coming out in December, which is pretty cool. The video tells the story of the 10 year old John Lowery (played by my producer's son), who stumbles into this haunted house and becomes possessed by an entity that causes him to start playing guitar and wearing the makeup. At the end of the video, he fully becomes John 5. everybody knows that I'm a big fan of horror so this was a really fun video to make alongside director Chantal Savage."

"I'm so excited that the record is finally out. We had such a great time making it. I didn't want to punch in with this record so each track is a full-performance. So if I started from the beginning and messed up, I would start again at the beginning until I got a great take all the way through.
