The Dead Daisies Rock NYC at Sony Hall

AS NYC begins to reopen, the concerts are slowly moving back and tonight was the perfect time to get out to a show.

Opening the night was New York natives Honor Among Thieves. These guys set the stage for what awaited us for the rest of the night - fun and straight forward rock n roll.

The Black Moods, a trio from Arizona, hit the stage next. A fantastic band supporting their album Sunshine. You know they are doing the right thing, when Gin Blossoms singer Robin Wilson joined them onstage to sing Tom Pettys’ “I Need to Know”.

Don Jamieson was a comedian before finding fame on “That Metal Show” and was a perfect fit to open for The Dead Daisies. Such fun tales from the road. It felt great just to laugh with an audience.

The Dead Daisies hit the stage with “Unspoken” from their newest album Holy Ground. This was a classic rock n roll show, drum solo included. Solid performance but the highlight was seeing Glen Hughes sing “Burn”. For those of us old enough to remember, it was a trip down memory lane. For those of you just catching on, listen and learn. This is how a rock n roll show should be done. Catch them when you can!
