Aether Realm Brings down NYC in support of TYR

On March 29th, 2024, it had been quite a while since North Carolina's Aether Realm graced a New York City stage with their unique Folk Metal sound. Supporting TYR and joined by Trollfest and Dead Crew of Oddwood, the eager audience filled the venue to capacity, enthusiastically anticipating the return of their southern brethren. Aether Realm delivered a powerful set, drawing heavily from their acclaimed albums "Redneck Vikings From Hell" and "Tarot," igniting a never-ending swirl of energy in the lively mosh pit.

TYR took the stage to a massive ovation, reminiscent of the grand entrance of fearless warriors. Despite encountering minor technical issues, their performance successfully enthralled the crowd. With a tour across the United States until April, before venturing overseas again, there are ample opportunities to experience this remarkable tour firsthand.

Trollfest lit up the stage with more than just their Balkan Music, captivating the audience with their elaborate Pink Flamingo costumes, each member donning outfits that perfectly complemented their album titled Flamingo Overlord. The songs, with their strong emphasis on merry drinking, resonated deeply with the crowd, who enthusiastically joined in the dancing, beer-swilling, and overall festive atmosphere. The band's 20th-anniversary celebration was truly a fantastic display of musical talent and camaraderie.

KK's Priest Rides the storm and Conquers Long Island

March 23rd, 2024 - Despite the enduring rainstorm that swept through New York, dedicated fans braved the weather to attend the sold-out performance at Patchogue Theatre. The crowd eagerly gathered to witness the debut of KK Dowling's new band, KK's Priest. As the band boasts two successful albums, "Sermons of the Sinner" and "The Sinner Rides Again," they showcased a diverse repertoire of original songs that seamlessly complemented their selection of Judas Priest classics.

The audience got everything they wanted and more at the concert. It was a nostalgic journey back to old school metal that had everyone on their feet. As soon as the lights dimmed and the video montage began, the crowd was electrified. KK made a grand entrance by ascending to the drum riser and launching into 'Hellfire Thunderbolt'. Accompanied by the legendary and renowned Mr. Tim "the ripper" Owens, the performance was truly exceptional. The setlist, which included classics like 'Breaking the Law' and 'Victim of Changes', captivated all who attended, ensuring that this concert would be etched in their memories for years to come.

Total Disclosure: I deeply admire LA Guns, yet I harbored some doubts about how their classic 80’s sound would complement the heavy metal lineup of the evening. To my delight, they seamlessly integrated into the atmosphere. From the explosive opening of Cannonball, their synergy with the crowd was undeniable. The infectious energy of the band even prompted the audience to join in singing the iconic chorus of The Ballard of Jane, a moment many may shy away from but secretly relish. Yes, I caught you all in the act, chuckle. The set reached its peak with the timeless anthem Rip and Tear, where guitarist Ace von Johnson ascended the outer speakers to deliver a mind-blowing performance. LA Guns undeniably delivered an unforgettable show, leaving fans hungry for more as they anticipate the upcoming release of their newest album, Black Diamonds, on April 14th.

Usually, the audience will wait in the lobby to get their beers and ignore the opening band, but not tonight. The seats were packed for Burning Witches, and the hype was true - this band rocks. Led by the amazing vocals of Laura Guldemond and supported by the dual guitar attack of Romana Kalkuhl and Courtney Cox, along with the thunderous rhythm section of Lala Frischknecht and Jeanine Grob, the stage was set for an unforgettable performance. From the opener "Unleash the Beast" to the final notes of "Burning Witches," they mesmerized us with their electrifying sound. Band of Horses take over The Paramount,NY

On February 6, 2024, music enthusiasts gathered at The Paramount in Huntington to witness the dynamic performance by Band of Horses. The venue, known for its historic charm, provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of captivating melodies.

Before the band took the stage the audience was shown the mood of the acoustic set, by the stage set up. With candles placed everywhere, the stage looked like you were in grandma’s house.

Ben Bridwell took the stage and let us know he was under the weather but was gonna give it his all. Solo he began the set and seemed that it was going to be a great show.

The rest of the band joined him for a fantastic set of acoustic songs. I highly recommend checking out their Acoustic at the Rhyman live album to check the vibe.

Band of Horses took a quick break, while the stage crew transformed the stage from grandma’s house to Rock stage.
The electric setlist showcased a thoughtfully curated mix of tracks from their extensive discography, including fan favorites and tracks from their latest album. From the haunting balladry of "The Funeral" to the anthemic exuberance of "Is There a Ghost," each song was delivered with an authenticity that resonated deeply with the crowd.
The Paramount's acoustics complemented the band's sound, allowing every guitar riff and drum beat to wash over the audience with clarity and depth. The lighting design enhanced the mood of each song, creating an immersive visual experience that further elevated the performance.

May 20th, 2023 Gramercy Theatre NYC. Every time a tour comes to an end you really never know what to expect - will it be somber cause the bands didn’t get along or will it be a fun a boisterous event. So glad we got the latter!

Within each set other band members came on stage and lightly sabotaged their set. Playing corn hole, cowboy hats and umbrellas were just a tip of what went on. With all the fun it was the music that really got everyone together.

Bury Tomorow’s first time on tour again since 2010 was more than enough plus a new album to match, “The Seventh Sun” from Music for Nations. It was a killer night!

Wage War-The Manic 2023 headline tour, with support from nothing,nowhere. and Spite Invade Long Island

Florida hard rock quintet WAGE WAR — Briton Bond [lead vocals], Cody Quistad [rhythm guitar, clean vocals], Seth Blake [lead guitar], Chris Gaylord [bass], and Stephen Kluesener [drums] — The band embarked on The Manic 2023 headline tour, with support from nothing,nowhere. and Spite. The tour kicked off on April 11 in the band's native Florida and runs through May 20 in Atlanta.

Thy Art is Murder ends their Decade of Hate U.S. Tour at Stereo Gardens, LI

Showcasing the ten year release of their album “Hate”. Thy Art is Murder took out Kublai Khan, I Am, Justice for the Damned and Undeath on a 26 date tour of the United States.

Ending March 11, 2023 at Stereo Gardens, Long Island NY, before heading over to Europe.

The crowd lined up for blocks on a brisk but sunny early Saturday evening. The doors opened and everyone vied for a spot on the pit floor. Justice for the Damned opened the night with I Am, Undeath, Kublai Khan following leading up to the mighty Thy Art is Murder who closed the show.

Stella Rose Brings Lainey Wilson " Country with a flare tour" to Irving Plaza, NYC

What better way to stay warm on a Frigid 9 degree night in NYC, then to settle in with a thousand new friends for a night of Country. What you say - COUNTRY in NYC? You bet your bell bottoms!!

Warming the Sold Out crowd up from the cold was Meg McRee. With just a guitar, her voice (and a little Tequilla ), She gave a brilliant performance. A talented Songwriter and Performer who has had many of her songs cut by Grace Potter, Elle King, Caylee Hammack, Paul Cauthen, Carter Faith and Ben Chapman who join her for her last song. She also Played with Ben Chapman during his set. Checkout her newest release “Tried and True” and more.
