"The Testament" follows 2018's "Tiara", which, at the time, was the band's first new music in eight years. While the wait between albums was, mercifully, shorter this time around, the band certainly did not need any extra time to craft a stunning album showcasing their prolific instrumental skills and intricate songwriting. Indeed, "The Testament" is a high watermark in the band's already revered discography.

Now, in 2022, the band one again returns with another magnum opus of a progressive metal album, "The Testament".

Symphonic horror metal masters CARACH ANGREN will be making a triumphant return to North America in support of HYPOCRISY! The Dutch masters of horror are back with their most flamboyant album so far. On 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus', CARACH ANGREN resurrect the gruesome story of troubled soul ‘Conrad Dippel’; the inspiration of Mary Shelly’s novel 'Frankenstein'.

CARACH ANGREN have extended all the sonic colours on their established palette to dazzling effect. Their trademark whipping guitars are weaving harsh melodies and sinister soundscapes, which are beautifully contrasted by opulent keyboards and majestic orchestrations. That Till Lindemann (RAMMSTEIN) and Peter Tägtgren (PAIN) have called upon the composition talent of Clemens "Ardek" Wijers is a telling sign of his outstanding mastery of the craft. Another signatory counterpoint is provided by Seregor's fierce rasping and shrieking vocals. Adding to the impact, Namtar has become a relentless driving force with his hart hitting yet intricate drumming. Each track on this album is a highlight on its own, while combined 'Franckensteina Strataemontanus ' simply shines.

CARACH ANGREN set out to tell ghost-stories with a set of paranormal cases recorded on the demo 'The Chase Vault Tragedy' (2004). This was soon followed by the official release of the 'Ethereal Veiled Existence' EP (2005) as a prelude to the haunting 'Lammendam' (2008). The Dutch had a clear vision of combining a dark baroque style of metal with horror based lyrical concepts. Their sophomore full-length 'Death Came through a Phantom Ship' (2010) witnessed the band setting sail to bring their eccentric and capturing live performances to audiences and festivals all over Europe. In the wake of third album 'Where the Corpses Sink Forever' (2012), the haunting had reached the Americas and started to spread rapidly. This record added a serious side to the lyrics of CARACH ANGREN. While firmly remaining in the horror genre, their tales revolve around the evils of war. This mature streak was taken a step further with the fourth full-length 'This Is No Fairytale', which is on the surface a darker variation of the "Hansel and Gretel" story from the Brothers Grimm collection, but also deals with the too real topic of child abuse in a dysfunctional family. With ‘Dance And Laugh Amongst The Rotten’ (2017), the band returned to pure story telling with episodes that are centred on a girl playing a little too long with her Ouija board.

Slaves To Humanity released their brand new single "Shake My Faith" to all digital platforms via FRAME|WORK.

“Shake my Faith is this hard hitting, and fun rock song, with a riff that has this bouncy groove to it. The lyrics are about being forced into change and the shock of it, which is something the entire world experienced through this pandemic" says the band.

They add, “Working with Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh like always, was a pleasure. They brought in a new perspective that just helped shape the song, giving it its fullness and power. Through the mixing process, the song went through a few phases with Amir, who wanted to get this song to sound phenomenal, and I think he really succeeded with his and our vision, making it an extremely powerful and meaningful song just through his mix.”

The band appeared on Episode 2 of the show NO COVER - (The only Music Competition show w/ unsigned artists performing original songs).

Slaves to Humanity (STH) is a Sunset Grunge band from Orange County California. It’s members include Aidan Amini on vocals, Pierce Akers on guitar, Shane Ryan on drums, and Nathan Johnson on the bass. Together the band mates create a sound like no other, mixing the melodic guitars of the late 80s era hard rock bands, and the lyrics and vocal sound of the 90s grunge era, as well as throwing modern rock elements all around.

In 2019 they released their first single “BATTLEGROUND” which had success in radio stations and streaming platforms alike. Following this release, during the Covid 19 pandemic, the band released “Behind My Back” which showed even more success. Both singles were the most requested song on KLOS and received heavy rotation on that major radio station for many months throughout the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the band worked hard on putting together their social media presence and continue to do so today, showing success on Tiktok and Instagram. As of April 2022, the band continues to play shows in Southern California as well as build their social media presence.

Israel born and LA based heavy rock artist OHP (OREN HALMUT) has released his newest re-interpretation of a pop hit with his vicious metal cover of the 1989 DEPECHE MODE classic, "Enjoy the Silence

Oren started his musical endeavor at the young age of nine in Tel-Aviv Israel. After playing and recording with numerous artists in his home town, he relocated to California in early 2000. Since then, he has been a prominent musical figure in Los Angeles, across the west coast and the nation. He owns H2O studios in North Hollywood, where he works as a producer, drummer and guitar player depending on the needs of each individual project. In 2016 oren started the “ohp metal” channel on youtube which features weekly metal covers of popular songs ranging from pop ,country, hip hop and RnB .The channel has gained over 10000 subscribers and growing weekly.

Montreal’s premier blackened death metallers are back with 'UNUS', the crushing and cinematic follow up to 2016’s 'Advent of the Human God'. With each record NECRONOMICON has created in the span of their 31-year career, the band has steadily evolved in both sound and power; 'UNUS' is no exception to this.

Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s legendary grimoire, NECRONOMICON formed in 1988 by founding guitarist and singer Rob "The Witch" in the deep, northern part of Canadian province Quebec, Fjord of Saguenay. Since then, the band have carefully released each full-length without haste, allowing them to perfect every nuance before unleashing their sonic assaults upon the masses. In 2019, NECRONOMICON was presented with a certificate of honor for over 30 years of service via H.S. production/Tommy Tremblay, and the people of Saguenay Lac St Jean, making them the second band after VOIVOD to ever receive this honor.

'UNUS' is a searing cacophony of blistering riffs, machine-like drums, and a symphonic ambience, culminating in a sound that calls to various metal icons such as DIMMU BORGIR, SEPTICFLESH, BEHEMOTH, and DEICIDE. The record combines the furious elements of death metal with the orchestral prowess of black metal, creating the perfect synthesis of both genres. Standout tracks like “Paradise Lost” and “Singularis Dominus” only solidify NECRONOMICON’s ability to continuously produce high quality metal that’s just as dark and brutal as it is elegant.

Opening with the lead track on Palomino, the highly anticipated new album from the woman celebrated in the May issue of Rolling Stone (on stands now) as “country music’s most ambitious artist,” Miranda Lambert let the at-capacity crowd at Thursday night’s show in Nashville know from the start that they were in for a night of musical celebration, living life unbridled, together.

“Got my own kind of country, kind of funky, turn it up” she taunted during the sassy “Actin’ Up” opener, settling in on stage at the scenic FirstBank Amphitheater on the eve of her 15-track, eighth solo album release. Fans were also treated to a live performance of two additional songs off the project available everywhere now; Top 20-and-climbing single “If I Was a Cowboy” and the bluesy-ramble “Strange.”

“I know I’ve thrown a couple new ones at y’all tonight – thanks to singing along to those, by the way,” Lambert shared just 10 songs into a 21-song set. “I was thinking about songs that mean the world to me and the times in my life when I really needed them. I always go back to this one because I’m a sucker for a sad song,” she continued, settling into the spotlight solo with her acoustic Gibson guitar for a poignant rendition of her ACM Song of the Year “Tin Man.”

Fans were surprised midway through Lambert’s set, as Pistol Annies bandmate Ashley Monroe joined Lambert for a touching duet of “Heart Like Mine” before tour special guest The Cadillac Three’s front man Jaren Johnston also joined the party for an all-sing cover of Little Feat’s “Willin’.”

With Variety applauding “her particular gift for navigating the many shades of gray between liberation and longing,” Lambert leaned into that notion of being torn between home and the road that informs so much of her brand-new record during “Settling Down” off her most recent GRAMMY Award-winning album, 2019’s Wildcard.

Lambert also took fans back to her earliest days with her first Top 20 hit, “Kerosene,” which was followed by several other high-energy fan favorites throughout the night, including “Gunpowder and Lead” and “Mama’s Broken Heart.”

Lambert’s unique ability to juxtapose such blazing tracks with a vulnerable and reflective side that has earned her a record-setting 37 ACM Awards to date was also evident as she wowed the sold-out crowd with moving renditions of ballads such as “The House That Built Me” and Double-Platinum No. 1, “Bluebird.”

The evening also marked the first “Fill the Little Red Wagon” drive of the year, with attendees encouraged to donate pet food, treats, supplies and funds for local animal shelter Williamson County Animal Shelter on behalf of Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation. Donation sites will also be set up at each stop on Lambert’s co-headlining The Bandwagon Tour with Little Big Town, kicking off next Friday, May 6 in her home state of Texas.

Following the spring tour and a summer of headlining festival dates, Lambert will open her recently announced Velvet Rodeo Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s Zappos Theater this September, with dates scheduled through April 2023.

Guitarist, songwriter and Thunder co-founder Luke Morley says: “'We didn’t set out to make a double album but as the writing and recording process went on we wandered into some interesting areas and then it became a case of 'can we afford to leave any of this off?’ In the end we did reduce it from 20 tunes to 16 but it wasn’t an easy choice.”

Satirical and urgent but never downcast, ‘Dopamine’ was inspired by the world’s mass retreat to social media during the pandemic lockdowns, endlessly hunting for the next hit of happy hormones.

“I read a fascinating article by an American psychologist,” says Luke, “who said that social media forces us to become dopamine addicts. We’re validated and liked on social media, which releases the dopamine – and so we get addicted to it. We take more and more selfies in the hope of more and more validation, and the album cover reflects this. People are surrounded by amazing things that they’re missing because they’re so self-obsessed. Of course, you’ll have to get your hands on the physical album to see all of the amazing things.

The new album comes at the perfect time for Thunder, whose line-up for the last quarter-century and more has been Luke and Danny Bowes (singer), plus Ben Matthews (guitar and keyboards), Chris Childs (bass) and Harry James (drums).

They’ve been riding a wave of success since their 2015 comeback album Wonder Days, releasing the acclaimed All The Right Noises last year, with Classic Rock speculating that it could be the band’s best album yet.. The record went Top 3 in the UK Albums Chart; a quite incredible feat for a British hard rock band into their 4th decade.

And make no mistake – the last 30 years have been a rollercoaster ride. Thunder had a start in life like few other bands, delivering a killer debut LP with 1990’s Backstreet Symphony and scoring a US record deal with the help of a keen fan, Axl Rose of Guns N’Roses. Songs like ‘Dirty Love’ and ‘Low Life In High Places’ – according to the late radio legend Tommy Vance, “the greatest ever single released by a rock band” – have gone on to enter the British rock canon.

Despite these early triumphs, rewarded with gold awards and one of the most enduring fanbases on the planet, changes in musical fashions and two breakups made Thunder’s progress a rocky road indeed.

All that changed with the current sequence of albums that kicked off seven years ago with Wonder Days. Too vital to be simply labeled veterans, too varied in style to be just another classic rock band.

Thunder are at the very peak of their considerable form, still offering fans doses of ‘Dopamine’ after all these years.

Breaking In A Sequence is based out of Huntington Beach, California and features drummer David Silveria, bassist Chris Dorame, guitarists Joe Taback and Mike Martin. The band formed after a worldwide vocalist search led them to recruit Rich Nguyen. The band’s diverse musicality is backed by Silveria’s signature groove and neatly wrapped together by captivating vocal melodies.

Throughout, he’s careful about compositional placement and how his radiant, palliative leads complement Fallujah’s sapid landscape. Right there with him is recently joined bassist Evan Brewer, thundering and bopping on, around, and against Baird’s foundation like a seasoned prizefighter. “Duality of Intent” is but one of Brewer’s standouts. Although known for his guitar work outside of Fallujah, newcomer vocalist Kyle Schaefer’s low-end and mid-range bark perfectly matches the existential threat-themed lyrics.

Throughout "Empyrean," Fallujah surprise. Musically, lyrically, and with their bevy of guests, they add hard-to-describe depth and musical import. Vocalist Tori Letzler (Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice) reprises her angelic role on “Radiant Ascension” and “Artifacts,” while Chiasma’s Katie Thompson also reappears to elevate “Embrace Oblivion” and “Into the Eventide.” Chaney Crabb of Entheos and Cyborg Octopus’s David Wu tender their considerable talents on “Mindless Omnipotent Master” and “Duality of Intent,” respectively. Celebrated artist Peter Mohrbacher (Serenity in Murder, Rainbowdragoneyes) replays his role on "Empyrean" as well. Truly, this is an all-star cast appearing on a momentous album by a band reaching beyond.

The new single and music video from Michael Monroe, "Can’t Stop Falling Apart", is OUT NOW! The track is taken from the upcoming album 'I Live Too Fast To Die Young', which is set for release via Silver Lining Music on June 10, 2022.

“It’s an ode to our wives and loved ones who have stuck by our sides through years of playing music and touring the world,” offers Monroe on the new single. “But this can also apply to any person working hard, away from home a lot of the time, who is lucky enough to have a loved one sticking by their side through thick and thin. So, it’s a celebratory song to our nearest and dearest who are always there for us.”

“It's a big, 1970's Slade-inspired glam stomper,” adds Rich Jones, “It celebrates our loved ones who support us through the ups and downs of being a touring musician”.

Michael Monroe, the gargantuan, gregarious, glamorous rock ‘n’ roll God who struts and fronts it with the same power and panache he first thrust our way leading Hanoi Rocks all those years ago, does not try to be a philosopher, but goddamn, he projects like one.

Throughout his latest (and greatest) venture I Live Too Fast To Die Young, Monroe tells tales of glory and observed stories, some pretty, some shitty, but all through a lens of eventual optimism, hope and a sense of dirty, cheeky late-night fun. Monroe’s lens has always been directed towards the upside, even after the greatest downs a man can suffer, and the sheer power of his positive energy infuses everything he comes into contact with.

The eleven lean, mean, raw power rock ‘n’ roll songs which make up I Live Too Fast To Die Young see Monroe swagger the streets like a rock-punk poet, a storyteller who’s seen it all from the hellholes of Helsinki to the late-nights in London’s St. Moritz with some trashy times in Tokyo to boot. Warm, funny, occasionally sad but ultimately upbeat, I Live Too Fast To Die Young brings the listener into the heart and soul of its creator.

The title track, ‘I Live Too Fast To Die Young’, is quintessential Monroe, playing with words and concepts in a playfully irreverent way and wrapping it all up in some proper ‘fuck you’ rock ‘n’ roll. A close friend of Monroe’s, Slash from Guns N’ Roses, throws down some lead guitar on the track.

Recorded at Inkfish Studios in Helsinki, Finland between November and December 2021 and produced by the band with engineer Erno Laitinen, the album features Monroe on lead vocals and harmonica, Steve Conte (guitars and vocals), Rich Jones (guitar, vocals), Karl Rockfist (drums) and Sami Yaffa (bass/vocals/guitar).

With I Live Too Fast To Die Young, it is clear Michael Monroe is striding into the summer with a triumphant -and perhaps most importantly, defiant- roar to offer you a chance to let your hair down (or up!) and to once again enjoy the freedom of joyous celebration and expression.

Verge Records' Scott Stevens Announces Debut Album Set for 5/13 + Releases New Take on "Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)"

Country rocker Scott Stevens is releasing a modern take on the 1995 John Michael Montgomery smash “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)” today on all platforms. Stevens will also release “Missin’ You”—a moving tribute to his grandfather—to radio next month.

This album is the culmination of years of effort for Stevens. The East Tennessee native has long found himself walking two very different paths, making the decision more than a decade ago to attend law school while also envisioning a career in the music business.

“Though I’m blessed to suit up and do my thing as a civil rights attorney, my dream has always been to support my family with my music,” Stevens says.

Each of the 16 tracks on Every Hat Is a Cowboy Hat… reveals a little more of Stevens’ multifaceted artistry. From the quirky, up-tempo “New Boots,” the sultry “Neon on Ya,” and the catchy “I Feel Good” to the poignant “Missin’ You” and sweetly romantic “Come Home to Me,” Stevens confidently explores country, southern rock, rap and R&B to develop his signature style.

After graduating from the University of Alabama School of Law, Stevens hit a turning point: “I remember starting a job right after graduation and thinking that it was just the most boring thing ever,” he muses. “I looked at the girl I was dating (who is now my wife, Katie), and I said, ‘Look, I don't want to lose you. But I’ve got to go to Nashville.’” Seven years of marriage and three kids later, Stevens finds himself successfully multitasking while balancing two careers and a family of five.

In 2020, despite being unable to hit the road, the band released their seventh and most absorbing full-length to date, “How Do We Want To Live?” which charted at 7 in the German Album Charts. An intricate but deeply satisfying concept piece, it showcased the ongoing expansion of the LONG DISTANCE CALLING sound, and received widespread plaudits as a result. Unable to take their new music directly to the people this time around, they instead decided to throw themselves enthusiastically into the creative process all over again.

The end result of all that creativity is surely destined to be one of the great progressive records of the year. LONG DISTANCE CALLING’s eighth album is titled Eraser: a direct and heartfelt tribute to the gradual erosion of nature at the hands of mankind. Eraser will be released on August 26th and is dedicated to the world’s endangered species, with each song representing one particular organism facing extinction.

First single Kamilah, out on April 22nd, honors the gorilla with a wildly dynamic journey through blissful, shimmering post-rock vistas, urgent and muscular metallic crescendos, and a profoundly melodic and melancholy denouement.

Marillion unleash video for ‘A Friend For The Earth

“Don’t wanna say goodbye
But I’m watching the time
The flowers and the bees
Vanishing beneath our feet”

If you dive into Marillion’s extensive catalogue, you will find several songs that take on the topic of environment and humanity’s impact on it. The 1989 album and title track ‘Seasons End’ is only one of many examples.

Now, over 30 years later, in times of ‘Fridays For Future’, an ongoing pandemic and a general big uncertainty about the future of humanity, the topic does not lack relevance – quite the opposite!

Coinciding with Earth Day 2022, Marillion today release a new video accompanying what is chapter two and three of ‘Reprogram The Gene’, a song released on their new album ‘An Hour Before It’s Dark’ on March 4th, 2022.

While the song and video deliver a clear message on the one hand, Marillion also leave room for everyone to have their own flavour of what the words of this song are about.

Steve Hogarth about ‘A Friend Of The Earth’:
“We are not of the heavens. We are of the earth. And whether you like it or not, when it dies, it’s gonna take you with it. The planet is screaming in our faces like an approaching express train. Some of us can hear it but don’t listen. Some of us can’t even hear it. But getting out of its way is our only hope.

With ‘An Hour Before It’s Dark’”, Marillion released one of their most upbeat albums of their career while, at the same time, they once again did not shy away from uncomfortable topics, reflecting on their own behaviour, and putting their finger in the wounds of time.

The album topped the album charts worldwide, breaking the band’s chart records in several countries. In Germany and the Netherlands ‘An Hour Before It’s Dark’ went straight to #2 in the official album charts, making it the highest chart entry for the band in both countries to date, while in the UK the band also celebrated #2 in the official charts, their best chart position in over 30 years!

Marillion will embark on a major European and UK tour in autumn 2022, preceded by several Marillion weekends until summer 2022.
