STONED JESUS Signs to Season of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of psychedelic rock trio STONED JESUS. Forged in Kyiv in 2009, this Ukrainian band submerges themselves in the world of doom, grunge and prog, while maintaining their own identity. Their upcoming album will be the fifth in line and the first to be released through Season Of Mist.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Igor Sydorenko comments: "I've always been a huge fan of progressive music - progressive not in the number of notes played per second, but progressive in terms of songwriting, concept and attitude.

Formed by Igor Sydorenko in Kyiv in 2009, STONED JESUS quickly progressed beyond their tongue-in-cheek moniker. The Ukrainian trio's second full length "Seven Thunders Road" converged doom, prog and grunge in their own recognizable way and the album's centrepiece, 13-min long "I'm the Mountain", boasts 15 million plays on YouTube.

LORD OF THE LOST Reveals Cover of Lady Gaga's "Judas", Cut from Upcoming EP Out May 6, 2022

German genre-fusing visionaries LORD OF THE LOST return in 2022 with a new EP, The Heartbeat of The Devil! Out May 6, 2022 via Napalm Records, the EP not only features two versions of its title track, which was first released on the band’s most recent full-length – the conceptual masterpiece JUDAS – but three cover songs encompassing the band’s free-thinking attitude.

Today, the band has released the first cover track from the new EP – a cover of “Judas” by Lady Gaga – an artist that has inspired frontman Chris Harms for years. LORD OF THE LOST managed to make this song their own while keeping the main structures of the song alive, adding retro synthesizer sounds, double bass passages, and a combination of growling screams and clear vocals.

“We shot quite an unusual video for our new single, ‘Everybody Get Up’. The song itself sticks out of the line a little bit, because it has a kind of hip hop vibe like our childhood favourite bands, the Beastie Boys and Run DMC, and that is not typical of us. We wanted to visualize it, so we are wearing absolute different style clothing in the clip, summoning the New York hip hop and hardcore bands outfit of the 80’s. We made a very cool and funny mood video that can’t be taken seriously, at all. So many bad things happened to us recently that we needed some happiness, at last. So we took our teenage ourselves out again and were just fooling around.”

PADDY AND THE RATS throw a first class pirate party!

With their six full-length, PADDY AND THE RATS serve a top-notch pirate party fueled by a heavy dose of Punk, Polka and Folk, turning the world into a giant pub! This Irish influenced sound will assuredly bring up the urge to slam down a cold one while swinging happily along arm in arm to the beat! Formed in 2008 by singer and songwriter Paddy, the untamed unit have built a respective name within the scene due to hard work and extensive touring all over Europe – with more than 400 shows including at the world famous Wacken Open Air and the Sziget Festival. For the new album, they teamed up once again with producer Zoli Baker. The artwork was designed by Jill Colbert, who has also worked with bands like Alestorm, Exodus and Wintersun.

On a rousing 13 tracks, the Hungarians magically pull one stirring song after another out of their pirate hats, featuring a great variation of instruments like accordion, fiddle, banjo and bagpipe. The Celtic punks sail off on exciting adventures with their opener “Wasteland”, offering a longing duo of mandolin and vocals accompanied by violin injections. The spirit is incited with “Ship Will Sale”: The rousing track hits like a wild wave and invites the listener to join the party, swaying and stomping with them. The full-length pushes forward with “Party like a Pirate”, where they delight their shipmates with an eager party hit, that comes with a sweeping sing-along chorus. “Everybody Get Up” offers another power boost and slowly prepares for the end of the adventure, with its punkier, energetic sound. San Diego quartet AS I LAY DYING is celebrating its anniversary as a band with the "Two Decades Of Destruction Tour". Today, the band announced the U.S. leg of the tour will kick off on June 10th in Las Vegas. Joining the band for the 30 dates are WHITECHAPEL, SHADOW OF INTENT, BRAND OF SACRIFICE (June 24-July 17), and OV SULFUR (June 10-23) The tour will conclude on July 17th in Oklahoma.

The band's latest album, Shaped By Fire, was produced by AS I LAY DYING and was mixed by Joseph McQueen at Sparrow Sound in Los Angeles, CA while mastering was completed by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in Nashville, TN. The only exception was for the track “My Own Grave” which was produced by AS I LAY DYING, co-produced by Drew Fulk, and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood. The artwork was created by Corey Meyers.

Formed in 2016 as a project of D. (Woods of Desolation, Remete), Unfelled first emerged with the solo demo offering “Beneath Distant Skies” at the end of 2017. Expanding the line-up in 2020, fellow veterans Mitch (Austere, Dearthe) and Vlad (Drudkh, Windswept) were enlisted on vocals and drums respectively, completing the vision for the band. Moving forward as a three-piece, the forthcoming full-length, recorded through 2020-2021, sees Unfelled pursuing heavier, more aggressive territory, yet never entirely eschewing the sense of melody and atmosphere established on the debut demo. In 2021, Unfelled proudly joined forces with Season of Mist who will release the album at a date TBA.

SWEDEN'S SEVENTH WONDER ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM "THE TESTAMENT"

"The Testament" follows 2018's "Tiara", which, at the time, was the band's first new music in eight years. While the wait between albums was, mercifully, shorter this time around, the band certainly did not need any extra time to craft a stunning album showcasing their prolific instrumental skills and intricate songwriting. Indeed, "The Testament" is a high watermark in the band's already revered discography.

Seventh Wonder was formed in 2000 by bassist Andreas Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvendahl, and drummer Johnny Sandin after their previous band fell apart. The music they were writing and playing turned towards progressive metal. When keyboardist Andreas “Kyrt” Söderin joined in late 2000, their new sonic explorations were only cemented further. Two demos were recorded (2001 & 2003) and the latter caught the attention of the label Lion Music, who signed the band in 2004. That collaboration spawned the first Seventh Wonder album, ‘Become’, which was released in June 2005. “Become” was well received by progressive metal fans and media alike; however, the band and singer Andi Kravljaca decided to part ways shortly after the recording process had ended. Enter the brilliant Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, ex-Vindictiv), who joined the band in 2005, actually prior to the official release of “Become”.

The next album, ‘Waiting In The Wings’ was recorded in 2006 and mixed and mastered by legendary Tommy Hansen. This album was a huge leap forward in terms of song complexity and maturity and received outstanding reviews and fan accolades, establishing Seventh Wonder as a force to be reckoned with in the progressive metal world. 2007 was spent playing live in support of the album, including sharing stage with legendary bands such as Queensrÿche, Testament, Redemption, and many others in England, Holland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark.

Simultaneously in 2007, a follow-up to ‘Waiting In The Wings’ was written. The band hit the studio in May of 2008 to record their third full-length, “Mercy Falls”, which was hailed as a true masterpiece at the time of its release. "Mercy Falls" was supported with several live shows in Europe, including Italy, Norway, Finland, and Holland.

In 2010, the band released “The Great Escape”, which again was met with critical and fan acclaim and cemented the band's standing as one of the premiere progressive metal bands in existence. In support, the band again toured in Europe and also appeared live in the USA at ProgPower Festival.

After "The Great Escape" album release, drummer Johnny Sandin left the band and would later be replaced by the incredibly talented Stefan Norgren (ex-Lion´s Share). Seventh Wonder fans collectively lost their minds in 2018 when it was announced that after an agonizing eight year wait, the band's latest studio album "Tiara" would be released. "Tiara" once again continued the band's winning streak of crafting progressive metal masterpieces and was greeted with high levels of enthusiasm.

Now, in 2022, the band one again returns with another magnum opus of a progressive metal album, "The Testament".

With reigning Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year Carly Pearce on all dates, plus five-time Academy of Country Music and four-time Country Music Association Group of the Year Old Dominion and three-time GRAMMY-winning Vocal Duo/Group Dan + Shay on the stadium dates, it promises to be quite a summer.

“I can’t believe how long it’s been,” Chesney muses. “I close my eyes, and I can hear the roar of No Shoes Nation, but to not feel that energy in my veins. It’s been so long, I can’t wait to get back out there to see the faces, to hear the voices singing these songs – and to share the love that’s like no other.”

Three years since playing many of his favorite places for three years, the man The Los Angeles Times deemed “The People’s Superstar” wants to make sure everyone who wants to come can be a part of what so many have been waiting for. With surprisingly limited ticket returns, a hard ticket count of well over 50,000 – excluding suites – finding seats and opening up slices of the stadiums has been a challenge Chesney’s been at work on.

“I’ve asked my friends at Messina Touring to find more seats more than a couple times,” says Chesney of his shows. “We are a month out from kicking off, and I don’t want anyone who’s missed this music as much as I’ve missed them to not be able to be there. So, once again we’re less than a thousand open tickets...and a lot of them are singles, maybe a few pairs...

“But I want to throw this out there: No Shoes Nation is one of the friendliest places in the world. I can hear the tail-gating from the bus, the music and the laughter. I kinda wanna call it Club Singles, for the people who’re willing to just buy a ticket, come sit where they sit – even if they’re not with their friends – and make some more friends along the way.”

With twenty-two stadium plays, the Here And Now 2022 Tour will run straight through the summer – including stops at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High, Detroit’s Ford Field, Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field – before closing out with a two-night-stand at Boston’s Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. on August 26-27.

For Chesney, the only country artist in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Top 25 Live Artists in 25 Years, whose “Everyone She Knows” celebrates free-spirited women blazing their own path, it’s all about celebrating the triumphs, the friendships, the new things and the songs everyone loves by heart.

“We have some surprises,” Chesney says. “We have some songs people really love. But mostly, we have all this music, all these nights, all the energy of No Shoes Nation coming together. Tampa, I can’t wait to see all of you April 23 at Raymond James Stadium.”

REPENTANCE Release Brand New Music Video for "Down In The Water"!

Last November, Chicago, Illinois based metal outfit Repentance released their latest Ep Volume I - Reborn via Noble Demon. Five tracks of tracks of aggressive, fast-paced and technical compositions, amplified by a tight and sharp production, which were praised by fans and critics alike. From said EP, the band has today released a brand new music video for the track "Down In The Water", which was directed, shot, and edited by Alex Zarek, with lighting design and programming by Brian Olivo.

Guitarist and band founder Shaun Glass adds:

"When writing the new material I really wanted to make sure each song had their own identity yet fit into the sound of the band. With this track the main verse riff set the pace for a dark heavy groove that doesn’t let up and brings the listener in a twisted journey… Adams King-Kong-sized vocals put the stamp on this song and also this is my first song that I actually also handled the guitar solo which is a nice tribute to Dimebag Darrell (Pantera) & Jeff Hanneman (Slayer) - RIP."

Electrifying garage rock outfit Åskväder have released their sophomore studio album, 'Fenix'. Following the release of the Swedes self-titled debut from 2020, Åskväder returns with a collection of 12 new tracks. Recorded live in studio, 'Fenix' captures the essence of the band’s energetic and direct sound. Combining bluesy guitar licks with groovy rhythms, thundering bass lines, and catchy, melodic hooks, Åskväder’s new album brings straight forward, 90’s inspired Scandinavian garage rock to the modern-day and age.

"The name of the album came because we as a band in many ways hit a big bump in the road after the first album was released. Fenix is the sequel and is a symbol for rebirth. Covid struck and, unfortunately, we had some changes in our line up which put the band in a tough spot. Electrifying Swedish rockers Åskväder make thunder and lightning through music. Today, Death From Above 1979 (DFA), made up of Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F. Keeler, celebrate the one-year anniversary of their latest album, Is 4 Lovers, by releasing two limited edition vinyl singles.

There are two vinyls — one featuring "Free Animal" on violet vinyl and the second featuring "Modern Guy" on baby blue vinyl. Both include the original track, as well as remixes.

Death From Above 1979 (DFA), the boundary-pushing musical alliance created by Sebastien Grainger and Jesse F.
