Sacramento, California singer/songwriter MASSIE released her brand new single "Eating Me Alive" that features Shayley Bourget (Dayshell, Of Mice & Men).

“We all have our demons. Everyone is dealing and struggling with one thing or another. Eating Me Alive is a dialogue between a person and the devil on their shoulder. For me, the song represents how social media makes me feel. It can be hurtful, and negative, a let down and a big discouragement but I continue to give into it. Our generation has become a generation of addicts . Addicted to technology and the high from it. We crave attention in new ways that previous generations haven’t. But we aren’t only addicted to technology and social media and attention. We struggle with alcoholism, getting high, adrenaline, living up to beauty standards, fitting in. I think it all causes that thought ‘I hate myself’. We just need to remember that we ARE loved, we ARE wanted, we ARE worth and you are NEVER in this alone”says Massie.

The single was also produced by Shayley Bourget who was quoted as saying, "Working with Massie was a breeze and a breath of fresh air. Although I’m fairly new to this whole producing and writing music for other clients gig, she was a client to remember. Out of all the people I worked with she was by far the most prepared. Being a vocalist myself and understanding how much work goes into being a great singer, she came in and sang like she wanted to be a star. From her pitch to her delivery, near flawless! When a producer is with talent like that the energy and the ideas naturally come to life. That’s where magic begins. She’s got it all. Talent, respect, professionalism, beauty and grace. Everything a person needs to be a star. I expect great things in her future. The sky and beyond is the limit for this young lady."

Massie is a singer/ songwriter from Sacramento, CA. Hailing from a diverse background of musical endeavors, she is gifted with a wide vocal range, from smooth airy melodies to driving edgy choruses. Since she was 10 years of age, she has been writing her own songs in relation to life events and emotion.

Throughout her music journey she has worked with Thrasher, who has engineered for artists such as, Travis Barker, Machine Gun Kelly, jxdn, and more. In addition to working with Thrasher, she has worked with Earl Cohen, a Grammy award winning producer in New York, Brian Grider and Misha Hercules, based in Los Angeles.

Germany’s hottest and most entertaining medieval folk rockers, FEUERSCHWANZ, have prevailed against pandemic paralysis, releasing two recent virtual live highlights under the banner Die letzte Schlacht (engl. The Final Battle) today!

In celebration, the medieval rockers of FEUERSCHWANZ present a very special performance, inviting Angus McFife of GLORYHAMMER to cover the Ed Sheeran song “I See Fire” with them! Together they add a metric ton of medieval power that will have you out of your seat in no time.

FEUERSCHWANZ comment their new live video:

“The original version of “I See Fire” (Ed Sheeran) sent shivers down our spines when we heard the song at the cinema at the end of the “The Hobbit” movie back then. The lyrics and music seem to evolve directly from the mythical world of Middle-earth! So it was a special affair of the heart for us to perform our folk metal version of the song live. On top we got Angus McFife from GLORYHAMMER as a real warrior to join us on vocals. We are incredibly proud to present this special live-version from our online show Die letzte Schlacht!”

FEUERSCHWANZ on Die letzte Schlacht:

"We are very happy and proud to see all the live power of FEUERSCHWANZ, as well as our creative work of the pandemic period, collected as this piece of art for eternity. "

The virtual concert, Die letzte Schlacht, was originally released in January this year, and presents an adventurous ride through the discography of FEUERSCHWANZ with the band itself as grandiose protagonists and storytellers. IRON LIZARDS Biography:

No fucks given. No trends. Iron Lizards blast their guitars and make music alive once again. Raw riffs, and with no unnecessary shit in their songs. Straight on, no fuzz, and loud screaming guitars. Iron Lizards make you feel the wild and dangerous side of rock’n’roll. They make you remember the hazy days of the alternative '90s. Combining the roughest part of music history, Iron Lizards are a true statement in this time and age. Be ready to testify, Iron Lizards will make your ear pukes of the loud and unfiltered joy of unsophisticated music.

Iron Lizards are a power-trio from Paris, France. The band was formed in 2015 by Elio with their goals already set; honoring the old gods of Detroit (MC5, The Stooges) whilst paying their homage to the 90’s action rock scene (The Hellacopters, Zeke, New Bomb Turks). This was then mixed with influences taken from everything from 60’s garage punk to 80’s punk hardcore (Zero Boys, Minor Threat, Gang Green) and psychobilly (The Cramps). Their first EP was released in 2016 by German JanML Records, following this with playing as the opening act for bands such as Get Dead, Zeke, Mammoth Mammoth, Sonic Wolves, The Hip Priests, and Christmas. In 2021 the band signed with Swedish The Sign Records to release their debut album: Hungry for Action.

ROCKBORN ANNOUNCE RELEASE OF “ROCK ME HARDER” SONG/VIDEO

ROCKBORN’s new single/video, “Rock Me Harder,” is set to drop on August 6th – which will serve as a preview of the group’s forthcoming brand new studio album (arriving in spring 2022).
Comprised of members Lu Reid (vocals), John Lyell (guitar), Dino Serna (bass), and Gary Gabaldon (drums), ROCKBORN is a female-fronted heavy rock band that is intense, sexy, bluesy yet edgy with raspy, sassy power vocals performed with dynamic emotional passion.

Dark, tasty guitar riffs and funky fresh bass lines are lifted up to the stratosphere by hard-hitting, solid drum rhythms and powerful, soaring vocals. ROCKBORN creates music with heartfelt lyrics, emotional depth, melodic intricacies that have modern, contagious hard energy, down-to-earth classic grit, heavy with mystical “Zeppelinesque” romance and enduring timeless appeal.

The “Rock Me Harder” single/video sums it all up perfectly, which can be experienced here:

And to stream the new song please pre-save here: http://smarturl.it/1ptyr3

“‘Rock Me Harder’ was born out of a couple of rough ideas between John, who had this incredibly heavy riff, and some lyrics I had been toying with for quite some time,” explains Lu. “His riff gave me a shove in the right lyrical direction. I needed the foundation and inspiration that his riffs gave me to finish the lyrics, and of course after hearing Dino and Gary throw in their ingenious licks to John’s riffs, I was able to come up with the melody lines and the phrasing needed to kick this song into gear.”

“Overall, this song is a culmination of the synchronicity of all the members of ROCKBORN. I’m very pleased with the ferocity and impactful energy that John, Dino, Gary and I gave to this very powerful female empowerment song. I hope that everyone, digs on this fantastic groove that Gary and Dino masterfully perform and also the badass riff and the brilliant lead guitar of John. Most of all I want women to know that they deserve what they want and they can have what they want. Just be bold and ask for it, like ‘Rock Me Harder’ does!”

ROCKBORN is perfectly poised to build upon the buzz created by the Michael Wagener-produced, engineered and mastered previous album, ‘Born to Rock,’ which spawned the popular video “Reasons Why I Cry,” which has received 2.25 million views on YouTube. “Rock Me Harder” most certainly delivers!

3TEETH Return With “Paralyze” Featuring Ho99o9 & Co-Produced By DOOM Composer Mick Gordon Ahead Of Forthcoming Album; Supporting Cradle Of Filth This Fall

Industrial Insurgents 3TEETH Return

With Scathing New Track + Video For “Paralyze”

Featuring Ho99o9 & Co-Produced By

DOOM Composer Mick Gordon, Also Currently Working With The Band On Forthcoming Album

3TEETH Will Dominate The Stage Again This Fall

As Direct Support For

Cradle Of Filth’s North American Tour +

An Anticipated Set At Welcome To Rockville Festival.

Two years after their gripping album Metawar was unleashed, setting off all kinds of alarms about the self-destructive path humanity has been treading on, industrial act 3TEETH makes their mighty return with the brand-new track and vicious video for “Paralyze.” The unruly new song pits the band alongside track collaborators Ho99o9 for a gritty electro-industrial metal mashup; it was also co-produced by DOOM composer Mick Gordon for an extra layer of techno-apocalyptic sheen.

See the video for “Paralyze” here:

Listen to the track “Paralyze” here: https://orcd.co/paralyze

Like all of their previous standout material, 3TEETH isn’t here to mince words on the newest release, with frontman and creative lead Alexis Mincolla saying the track was inspired by seeing people paralyzed by the hysteria of the current socio-political climate.

“Everyone seems to be heading into a visionless future and unable to do anything about it. The paralysis seems to be contagious as we all know things have to change, but it seems easier to imagine the end of the world then it does actual change at this point,” he says. “The media-induced tribalism keeps us in a gridlocked state of cultural schizophrenia as we continue to be trapped in the shadow of our progress. This song was aiming to reflect the frustrations and the horror that we all experience in our current state of waking sleep paralysis these days.”

3TEETH began working on “Paralyze” a year ago in the deserted quiet of Joshua Tree where they holed up to get away from the palpable anxiety of their hometown of Los Angeles to begin work on their fourth studio album that will be released via Century Media Records. The material is currently being wrapped up with the accomplished sound designer Mick Gordon (best known for his work on the gaming phenomenon DOOM) co-producing the tracks, bringing in another dimension to the band’s unmistakable sound.

Says Gordon, “3TEETH are one of my favorite acts. They proudly fly their own unique flag. The new album charts course through the next stage of our vanity-led evolution as a species, and by that I mean the album is a world unto itself. I’m just stoked that these guys have allowed me along for the ride.”

Paralyze” is the first taste of the new, to-be-announced record. To amplify its message, 3TEETH teamed up with explosive punk-industrial-rap duo Ho99o9, a visionary act in their own right that they originally toured with in 2018. Of the track, Ho99o9 says, “This is only the beginning of an incendiary snowball effect. The nuke is yet to come.”

3TEETH will also make their anticipated return to the stage this fall, an artistic arena where they dominate with a dizzying spectacle that mixes futuristic, neo-cyber design with a voluminous sound that is nothing short of a sensory trip. The display of force has logged them tours with the likes of Rammstein, Tool, Ministry, HIM, Danzig and Ghostemane. Currently, they are slated to provide direct support for Cradle Of Filth on their ‘Lustmord and Tourgasm’ North American Tour beginning October 1, followed by an appearance at Welcome To Rockville Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida on November 13.

Watch the lyric video for "Warrior"

Pre-order Damnation here.

"It is with great pride and enthusiasm that Burning The Oppressor joins the legendary and incredible Candlelight Records roster," the band says. "Working with such an experienced and professional team means a lot to us. We grew up listening to the artists who have evolved on this label, and now we are part of it...It's amazing!"

On the upcoming album, the band shares, "We are extremely proud to present our next album; Damnation, produced by Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy, Shadow Of Intent, Ingested, Despised Icon, Beneath The Massacre, Beyond Creation). As an album with heavy social criticism where the dark side of the human experience coexists with mental illness and degradation, we are confident that we will be able to make the metalheads headbang to the sound of our music."

Burning The Oppressor was founded in 2012 by passionate musicians with different influences and armed with remarkable stage dynamism. With intense texts and brutal riffs, BTO puts into words and sounds the trials of modern life and the sufferings of a society in turmoil. Militant in favour of social equity and the inclusion of all people, the band denounces discrimination and oppression through its work.

Strong from their experiences and numerous performances, from the early days at the Montebello Rockfest Festival to the latter days at Heavy Montréal Festival, BTO's reputation is now stronger than ever. The name still resonates in the minds of all of those who have seen them live. The band has taken the metal scene with strength and burned down each and every venue it has performed at. It proudly shared the stage alongside great bands such as Skeletonwitch, Mass Hysteria, Tagada Jones, The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Jungle Rot, The Browning, The Acacia Strain, After the Burial, The Black Dahlia Murder, and Jinjer.

Burning The Oppressor also left its mark with its three previous albums: The Ignition (2012), Verbal Aggressor (2013), and Bloodshed (2017). Each of these albums were nominated for "Best Independent Metal Album" at GAMIQ Awards and Bloodshed won the public's choice award for the "Metal Album Of The Year" in 2017.

With their forthcoming album, Burning The Oppressor will raise the rage to new heights and pursue its ascent on the metal scene. Armed with its groove death metal, the Canadian lineup is ready to rip your ears apart with blistering, yet catchy riffs, energy and passion.

RUSSIAN CELESTIAL BLACKGAZE TRIO TRNA RELEASE ATMOSPHERIC "ISTOK" VIDEO —

NEW ALBUM ISTOK OUT DIGITALLY ON SEPTEMBER 3 VIA CANDLELIGHT

PHYSICAL VERSION ARRIVES OCTOBER 1

Russian celestial blackgaze trio TRNA have released the music video for "Istok," the title track of their upcoming new album, out September 3 via the fabled Candlelight Records. Pre-order the album here.

Watch the "Istok" music video

The black and white music video for "Istok" follows the narrative of two protagonists, a white-cloaked figure and a black-cloaked figure, as they encounter each other's presence in a cornfield. The video visually tells the story of the album — to meditate on the importance of nature, finding inner peace, and gaining a viewpoint on life and the world.

On the inspiration for the debut music video, the band states, "It was written, directed, shot, and cut by our friend Gleb Kolotov in September 2020. It was the first time we did something like this. We hired actors, costumes, rented lenses and lights, and we think it all paid off in the end. The hard thing was to write the screenplay based on our vague descriptions about the track's meaning and what the album is about. In the end what we have is a beautiful music video with a plot and we’re really thankful to all of Gleb and his crew for helping us so much."

TRNA want to take you on a journey. Not to their Russian homeland, but beyond that, to a place not on any map, where the trio's dreamy "celestial blackgaze" can properly get beneath your skin and into your mind. With their fourth album, Istok — their first for Candlelight Records — they're pushing even further into the unknown.

The band formed in 2013 in Saint Petersburg, following the breakup of similarly blissful-minded outfit Princ Persii. Though not wanting to limit themselves to a genre, the tag of "celestial blackgaze" fit so well that it stuck – descriptive enough to catch their vibe, loose enough to have no walls. The band list artists like Wolves In the Throne Room, Panopticon, Amenra, Godflesh and shoegaze pioneers Slowdive as influences. But TRNA exist very much in their own otherworldly space.

Istok impresses with its vastness, its depth and its message. Recorded at Dobrolet Studios in Saint Petersburg and, in part, in their rehearsal space, TRNA wanted Istok to meditate on the importance of nature, and in finding an inner peace from which to get a viewpoint on life and the world.

"What is 'Istok?' 'Istok' is the place where all begins, where you go when you feel that you can’t bear your everyday life," the band explain. "It's the great nothingness where you find peace. It’s the salvation and relief. But to get there is a whole journey and it's different for everyone. TRNA is always about nature. Of course we would like our music to speak for us and reading what people say about how they feel listening to it makes us believe that we manage to somehow get the message across."

Across Istok, this takes many forms, from a more gentle serenity to cascading eruptions of black metal. The opening title-track bursts with glory and wonder, while "Echoes of the Past" is a blastbeat-led rager, and the 13-minute instrumental "Shining" is the euphoria after a storm. It all stems from the same purpose, and beautifully locks together to create an intense emotional journey.

New Music From Black Foxxes

BLACK FOXXES TO RELEASE EXTENDED VERSION OF THEIR SELF-TITLED THIRD ALBUM – PRE-ORDER HERE

DIGITAL DELUXE FEATURES FOUR NEW TRACKS + ARRIVES SEPTEMBER 17

LISTEN TO "45"

"’Black Foxxes’ is an album that showcases the band’s sheer talent, proving them as not just one of the best alt-rock bands around, but one of the more interesting bands around. Period." — LINE OF BEST FIT

"More assured than ever… a band reinvigorated" —DORK

"There are just so many little touches that lift Black Foxxes from your usual post punk gee-tar drudgery offered by so many wannabes… an impeccable album” — NARC

"In avoiding the middle of the road, this trio has stumbled upon a new wellspring they’ve soon mastered how to draw from" — KERRANG!

Black Foxxes have announced an extended version of their critically acclaimed, self-titled album. Originally released back in January 2020, the new digital deluxe version features four brand new tracks and will be available on September 17 across all digital platforms.

Pre-order here.

"The digital deluxe release of this record is something we wanted to do immediately upon writing the songs a couple of years ago," the band explains. "We knew the length of the record would be too much to include everything in the initial release, but now that those first nine tracks have had time to set in for everyone, it feels like the perfect time to release the extended version."

Check out the brand new single "45"

"'45' was actually written years ago with the old line up," says Black Foxxes main man Mark Holley. "It just felt like a nod back to the early days of the band during the ‘I'm Not Well’ release. It's just straight up raw. With the way our band is writing music now it feels miles away from the heaviness of this sound, but that's one thing we said from the offset: that there would be absolutely no limits when it came to genres. It feels nice to throw in one of our heaviest tracks whilst writing some super wanky and pretentious album 4 material. Get a guy that can do both, y’ know?"

ABOUT BLACK FOXXES:

Over the course of two albums (2016's I'm Not Well and 2018's Reidl), Black Foxxes main man Mark Holley established his band as a potent creative force, carving out a signature spot on the emotive rock 'n' roll map backed by strong, growing support from fans and media alike. With singles/videos such as "Husk." "I'm Not Well," "JOY," and "Manic In Me," the clip for which was filmed in Iceland, a key source of influence for Album 2, it became increasingly clear that Holley is an artist prepared to shed protective layers — an artist with plenty to say and a particular way of tapping into thoughts, feelings, and fears. And now, with Album Number 3, the Bristol-based singer/songwriter/guitarist has done even more to bind music and personal message into a cohesive body of work — nine compelling tracks recorded quickly with a brand new rhythm section (drummer Finn McClean and bassist Jack Henley, a longstanding friend), plus a trusted team member in producer/mixer Ade Bushby, who helmed the desk on both previous outings. From the very start, the intention was to keep instinct, musical integrity and the chemistry between the players right at the fore, with no second-guessing of the market and no attempt to stem or to edit the musical flow — a flow that takes in synths, distorted vocals plus a battery of left-field sounds (inspired by Bristol’s alternative DIY culture), along with a broader range of lyrical subject matter. After 18 months spent searching for that "magic sweet spot," this is Black Foxxes in the raw, unfiltered, unfussed with. No rules, no labels, all on the line.

EMPLOYED TO SERVE RELEASE OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR "MARK OF THE GRAVE"

NEW STUDIO ALBUM CONQUERING OUT SEPTEMBER 17 VIA SPINEFARM — PRE-ORDER HERE

Employed To Serve have released the music video for their latest single "Mark Of The Grave." Check it out

"Mark Of The Grave" is the second single from the forthcoming album, Conquering, and demonstrates the band at their most metal yet. The video is a trip, to say the least...

"With this video we just wanted to have fun," says frontwoman Justine Jones. "After months of being cooped up inside, we wanted to focus on a project that was more light-hearted. We shot the music video at Miracle Theatre in Cornwall with director Ryan Mackfall. The theatre was kind enough to give us free reign of their studio and stage costumes. Everything was shot in front of a green screen to maximize the opportunity to have fun with the edit. We then sent over a few notes to VFX artist Nadav Rotem and assistant Jake Potter, as soon as they came back with Sammy doing a solo on a flying, flaming skull, I knew it was going to be my favorite video — it's wild and we love it."

Conquering releases on September 17 and is Employed To Serve's second full-length album on Spinefarm.

Drawing influence from the music of their youth and a new perspective on how to nurture the positive aspects of humanity and individual growth, Conquering is a celebration and acknowledgement of triumph in the face of a world that can be relentlessly adversarial. The band began recording the album in the "unforgiving winter" of 2020; produced and mixed by Lewis Johns at The Ranch, Southampton, mastered by Grant Berry at Fader Mastering, Employed To Serve took the time thrown at them by a world stopped still to write their most visceral material to date.

Pre-orders are live, with an instant download of singles, "Exist" and "Mark Of The Grave,” plus special bundle options.

ABOUT EMPLOYED TO SERVE:

Employed to Serve's origins are essentially humble, with the core duo of Justine Jones (vocals) and Sammy Urwin (guitar/vocals) initially starting the band as a two-piece grindcore project backed by a drum machine. Early experiences on the UK festival scene expanded their horizons and perceptions of what weightier music could be. Seeing heavy-hitters such as Converge, Meshuggah, and Glassjaw alongside smaller but no less important acts like Rolo Tomassi, Veils, and The Chariot inspired the duo to develop their vision. 2014's Change Nothing Regret Everything EP operated as a stepping stone into full band territory, before 2015's critically acclaimed debut album, Greyer Than You Remember, became their calling card, followed up two years later by The Warmth of a Dying Sun, then their 2019 Spinefarm debut Eternal Forward Motion. Employed to Serve have already proved themselves as a searingly intense and honest live experience, sharing bills with the cream of the crop of modern heavy music, including Code Orange, Bury Tomorrow, Stick To Your Guns, Loathe, Counterparts, and Underoath. They’ve also decimated stages at some of the UK and Europe's leading music festivals, the likes of Download, Glastonbury, Graspop, and Hellfest. And the accolades are unstoppable; from their Kerrang! Album of the Year win back in 2017, achieving the assumed impossible with a KKKKKK (yes, that is 6 K's!) live review, landing in Metal Hammer's reader and staff Top 10 Album polls, and a 2020 sold-out Underworld performance, to a plethora of cover features across Music Week, Metro Weekend, Upset, and Kerrang!, Employed to Serve are unflinching at the forefront of metal innovation.

ABOUT SLEEP TOKEN:

Beneath the Sleep Token banner, lies the unique, broad-based vision of one individual — anonymous, silent, masked, armed with a staggering vocal range, a deft touch on the keyboards, plus a live approach that is never less than fully engaged. The UK underground entity only known as Sleep Token, fronted by Vessel, began the Sundowning ritual June 20, 2019 with "The Night Does Not Belong To God." Sleep Token began to release their "offerings" bi-weekly, released Thursday's at Sundown BST with accompanying visualizers. Each offering had its own emblem, establishing the Sleep Token universe on the debut album Sundowning. On June 18, 2021, the cycle began again but born anew. The new album This Place Will Become Your Tomb pushes the boundaries of Sleep Token's sound into new avenues of blurring genres while still retaining the signature sound.

PINK TURNS BLUE reveals video for 'You Still Mean Too Much To Me'

"Consistent purveyors of quality guitar-laden post punk and dark-bent indie rock... one of the most honest and most direct enduring acts in post punk today" ~ Destroy // Exist

"The timeless message is driven home with a timeless sound composed with refined effect" ~ Post-Punk.com

"There are bands which have had high ranks in the charts and still have a place deep in the heart of many fans. One of those bands is the German Dark Wave legend Pink Turns Blue" ~ Reflections of Darkness

"When it comes to actual darkwave, Berlin’s Pink Turns Blue are rightly regarded as one of the founding acts... from their earliest 80s material on up to the present, they have also been one of the finer exemplars of continental postpunk" ~ CVLT Nation

Iconic post-punk band Pink Turns Blue has unveiled the video for 'You Still Mean Too Much To Me', a beautiful film to their new single. Portraying figures who are utterly alone, introspective, and seeking an elusive connection, this video echoes themes of isolation felt during the process or working through grief over the loss of a loved-one.

This past week, the band announced that their new album 'Tainted' will be released in autumn on limited edition vinyl, CD and digitally via Orden Records.
They also recently shared two enticing singles - 'There Must Be So Much More' and 'So Why Not Save The World'.

Pink Turns Blue is Mic Jogwer (vocals, guitar), Reubi Walter (bass, keyboards) and Paul Richter (drums). Inspired by Joy Division, The Sound and The Chameleons, Pink Turns Blue plays alternative rock heavily influenced by 80s post-punk and new wave.

This album is the result of time well spent this past lockdown year writing, recording, mixing and mastering the new album in their Berlin recording studio. On ‘Tainted’, the band added an electronic element to their classical vocals, guitar, bass and drums. The album title itself relates to the state of our world: climate change, its effects, the reaction to it, the split within society, isolation, health risks and financial uncertainty.

"How to overcome the grief / pain of lost love, torn between hate, very bad feelings and, at the same time, not being able to let go at all. As there is no understanding why you fall in love with someone in the first place, there is also no reason / understanding why love does end or your love of life starts to feel attracted to someone else. It all dissolves into nothingness," says Mic Jogwer.

"Some melodies and moods just call for certain sad themes and touch old wounds that never seem to heal. Normally love stories don’t seem to have a connection to me and my life. But then, when I find a sad melody with some sad chords it all gets stirred up and comes to life. Maybe love really never ends."

Among the first generation of gothic rock in Germany, Pink Turns Blue formed in 1985, originally as a duo consisting of Mic Jogwer and Thomas Elbern, plus a drum machine. Naming themselves after a Hüsker Dü song, their sound was initially inspired by The Chameleons, Clan of Xymox, and The Cure.

Their debut album 'Two Worlds Kiss' brought dark undertones into their new wave sound, essentially advancing the darkwave sub-genre while becoming a seminal album in the post-punk genre. Amidst fear and uncertainty in a divided Germany during the Cold War era, the band longed for a more romantic element. They went on to release eleven full-length LPs, the latest one being 'The AERDT – Untold Stories' in 2016 via Orden Records.

'You Still Mean Too Much To Me' is out now everywhere, including Apple Music and Spotify. The 'Tainted' LP will be released on September 24. It will be available digitally and in two physical formats - a CD with a 16-page booklet and on black vinyl, strictly limted to 500 copies, with an 8-page booklet. Both can be pre-ordered exclusively via the band's website.

Formed in 2012, BEGAT THE NEPHILIM have carved a dynamic and distinctive career, sharing stages with high profile acts such as SOULFLY, SUICIDE SILENCE, NAPALM DEATH, SUFFOCATION, MORBID ANGEL and many more, as well as participating in tours/festivals across the US, such as Summer Slaughter and the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. With their heavy yet melodic, anthemic and technically impressive sound, as well as their frenetic & chaotic live performances, the band successfully established a lasting impression on crowds across the US.

BEGAT THE NEPHILIM's highly anticipated sophomore full-length record, titled II: The Grand Procession, will be coming out on October 29th via German powerhouse label Noble Demon. In support of the new album, BEGAT THE NEPHILIM just unleashed a brand new lyric video for the track "Paupers Grave", a first and enthralling glimpse of what to expect from the band's upcoming output!

The album can be pre-saved to the library or playlist of your preferred streaming service now here: https://music.nobledemon.com/begat

Watch the lyric video for "Paupers Grave" here:

"This song is likely the most political we will ever get, though written from a neutral standpoint so as to be appreciated and viewed through the eyes of any political affiliation, regardless of where on the spectrum you fall. It seems the lens through which people perceive one another lately, political “adversaries ” in particular, often ranges from disdain to hatred for one another; leaving no ability to find a middle ground or means of compromise." the band comments.

II: The Grand Procession will be coming out October 29th on Noble Demon! Stay tuned for more news and tunes to follow in the weeks ahead!

“Buried Underground”

ALIEN WEAPONRY are poised to dominate with Tangaroa. The album coalesces the band’s growing maturation with an undisturbed songwriting process, resulting in their most inspired, honest and informed material yet. Tangaroa is immersed in important historical accounts and cultural heritage of the Māori people – in addition to lyrics written in te reo Māori, many tracks feature traditional instruments, called taonga puoro, providing the tracks their own warrior-like attitude. Rhythmic, dynamic album opener “Titokowaru” begins with determined rowing chants and depicts the tale of a famous war chief that challenged the colonial government in New Zealand and led a rebel army, backed by quick riffage and driving drums. Following standout “Hatupatu”, inspired by the harrowing, legendary tale of a de Jong ancestor facing off with a witch, is carried by frenzied guitars, spirited chanting and tribal-like percussion. While ALIEN WEAPONRY sourced inspiration from their culture and environmental surroundings while writing most of Tangaroa, the band also looked inward – drawing vision for other portions of the album from within. The album dives into some of their most effecting personal experiences, with English-language songs like the pensive “Unforgiving”.

Accented by personal touches like its entrancing album art originally conceptualized from drawings by Lewis de Jong, Tangaroa is a massive next step for a band on the rise, encompassing all of the elements that make ALIEN WEAPONRY heavy metal’s most authentic rising stars.

Since releasing their acclaimed debut (2018), ALIEN WEAPONRY's kinetic presence and sound – combining elements of thrash and groove metal with lyrics in the native indigenous language, te reo Māori — has attracted throngs of fans and media supporters across the globe. In addition to amassing millions of cross-platform streams and YouTube views, the band has seen bounds of success at SiriusXM Liquid Metal, was recently hailed the “future of metal” by Metal Hammer, and was voted by Revolver Magazine fans as “one of the bands most likely to break out in 2021”. Furthermore, ALIEN WEAPONRY just added an upcoming tour with metal behemoths Gojira to their hefty performance resume - a list that already included support of some of the biggest names in metal like Slayer, Black Label Society and more.

Ireland's Emperor of Ice Cream has announced their new 'Weather Vane' single, set for release on August 24 via FIFA Records. Mixed and produced by Graham Finn, this single was mastered by Tom Volpicelli (The Who, Iggy Pop, The Alarm, Pat Benatar, The Bloodhound Gang) at The Mastering House in New Jersey.

At the same time, they present an audio-visual taster of the B-side 'High Rise Low Rise', a song about growing up amongst friends, who are viewed as misfits, oddballs and freaks. Nevertheless, the ideas and dreams that flow between these strange kids will change them all and the world around them, forever. The accompanying video was written and directed by Veronica Terreblanche and reimagined by John Haggis with the director's permission.

Almost 30 years after forming, they finally released their debut album ‘No Sound Ever Dies’ via FIFA Records. Now based in Cork, Waterford, New York and Amsterdam respectively, Edward Butt (bass),  John 'Haggis' Hegarty (vocals), Graham Finn (guitars) and Colum Young (drums) decided to put out their debut album that Sony Records had shelved 25 years ago after signing the band - only better.

Returning with the new single 'Weather Vane', the band captures the zeitgeist of this isolationist day in age, where social relations can be somewhat strained. Moods, motives and expectations can sometimes make us feel like we are caught up in a tornado of emotions when a relationship hits a rocky patch. This song is about the hope that remains even when things are falling apart.

Offering driving rhythms and thumping basslines, the band lays the foundations for raw and melodic guitars, topped by elegant, lush vocals and harmonies. A natural direction for the band, they bring in a fresher and raw sound, letting the parts speak for themselves rather than enveloping them with pedals and tricks.

Since re-emerging on the scene in May 2020, Emperor of Ice Cream have embarked on a chapter few anticipated would be written. Their debut record's first anniversary is marked by a second pressing on vinyl and CD. Entering the official Irish album charts at number 35, the LP topped the independent charts and was among the top 20 best-selling Irish releases of 2020.

"It's a strange task, to make music with people you haven't been in the same room as for over two decades, but the challenge was a welcome one. Overseen by Graham from his New York abode, the drums were beautifully recorded in Amsterdam at IJland Studios by Remko Schouten, who has previously worked with Pavement, Stephen Malkamus & The Jicks and Devendra Bernhardt," says John Haggis.

"Assembling parts from home studios in Cork and Waterford, the final touches, edits and mixes were completed in NY. It's an unusual way of doing things, but with the year that world has experienced collectively, not an uncommon one these days, unfortunately.

Garnering a new legion of supporters around the globe, renewed demand for the band's back catalogue resulted in the release of a compilation album of their three early Sony-backed EPs ('Overflow', 'William' and 'Know Me'), having sold out in the pre-digital 90’s. Reaching number 21 in the official album charts, the album also rose to number 3 in the independent charts. While the limited-edition physical copies were sold out on release day, it is still available as a digital download.

On August 24, the 'Weather Vane' single will be released digitally on SpotifyApple MusicBandcamp and other platforms. In the meantime, the second pressing of 'No Sound Ever Dies' LP is available for pre-order on white vinyl, CD, cassette and digital download, shipping out August 27, the day before its first birthday.

ARCHSPIRE Reveals New Album, Premieres Official Video for First Single

Canadian tech death masters ARCHSPIRE will be releasing their new full-length album, 'Bleed the Future,' on October 29, 2021 via Season of Mist! The album artwork, tracklist, and additional details can be found below. The band is now premiering the official music video for the spicy first single, "Golden Mouth of Ruin,"

ARCHSPIRE comments: "The Archspire kitchen is open for business!!! We'll be serving up big portions of the fastest death metal your ears can handle, across Europe and the U.K., so come get an extra large helping of home made, extra creamy tech death! Make sure to leave room for dessert, because we'll be playing songs from our upcoming album 'Bleed the Future!' Bon appetit!"

Prior to the tour overseas, the band will be playing an album release show in their hometown of Vancouver, B.C. at the Rickshaw Theatre on October 30! Tickets can be found HERE.

'Bleed the Future' is available now for pre-orders at THIS LOCATION.

Archspire’s JUNO-Nominated (Canadian Grammy) 2017 Relentless Mutationwas a cavalcade of speed and extremity — blasting, accelerating and, in partial reference to its title, “mutating” as each song unfolded, all the while rapid-fire, shotgun vocals blurred the lines between a man’s throat and additional instrument. It was, unquestionably, an innovation of sound and technique — Archspire had broken the speed barrier while creating songs memorable as they were unabashedly extreme for extreme metal. Thus, the pressure was already there to top Relentless Mutation when the band started to compile new songs in 2018. The global pandemic heightened the situation (read: no touring, expanded free time) and caused Archspire to turn inward and apply additional rigor to their songwriting process, albeit painstakingly so. But by the end of the fraught calendar year that was 2020, the band emerged with their fourth studio album, Bleed the Future

According to the members of Archspire — vocalist Oli Aleron, guitarists Dean Lamb and Tobi Morelli, bassist Jared Smith and drummer Spencer Prewett — they originally went into the making of Bleed the Future under the idea they would finish the album in between the various tours scheduled for 2020. Of course, none of that happened, prompting the band to do more pre-production than at any time in their career. Archspire then subjected the album’s eight songs to near-constant critiquing that ensured they came away with a product, that in their estimation, is their best to date.

“The benefit we had was that Relentless came out in 2017,” says Lamb. “Since then, we toured more than we ever did before. We had the viewpoint of ‘What do crowds like? What parts should we write more of? What parts do people give us good feedback on?’ We wanted to expand and write those parts more consistently — there are more hooks and when we do have hooks, we wanted to repeat those parts so people will know that this is the catchy part of the song.”

“The most important thing was that we had clever songwriting,” adds Prewett. “We wanted the album to be more accessible to more people but still keep it extreme, fast and technical. So, we changed our process this time. We recorded rehearsal every day and listened to what we did afterward. We’d then come back to the jam spot and change riffs and ideas based on what everyone was thinking about during the week. It resulted in an album that everyone was happier with.”

Archspire also had the stated goal for Bleed the Future that they wanted to get faster. While such a feat may defy reason given their previous output, the band wrote their fastest song to date — the album-closing “A.U.M.,” a cut that opens up with an audio recording of a German friend of Prewett’s who, according to the drummer, enjoys ragging on Archspire. Comedic clips aside, “A.U.M.,” caps off an album that pushes the boundaries of speed but also is textured — Smith’s ethereal basslines often serve as mid-song interludes, while Lamb and Morelli weave melodic, spiraling guitar lines that annihilate the fretboard during “Abandon the Linear,” “Bleed the Future” and “Acrid Canon.” Accordingly, the members of Archspire were keenly aware of the expectations placed upon them after the success of Relentless Mutation. The online comments regarding whether they could top

Relentless Mutation was also occasionally on their minds when composing Bleed the Future and prompted the band to ensure that all five members were happy with everything — down to the last riff, vocal line, bass run and drum pattern. “Audience expectation is really important,” says Lamb. “If we leave the jam spot and everyone is stoked on a song, it’s pretty likely that the audience will be stoked. We have the expectation of the audience but we also have to be pumped on the music. I feel the proudest of the music. We spent more time on the songs and got better at writing. I feel it’s better music.”

“It’s an extremely tedious writing process,” adds Smith. “If anyone isn’t feeling a riff, we scrap it and have to find something we’re all happy with. It can be super-frustrating in the moment, but in the end, we have something better. We want everything we write to be a step up and I think we achieved that with Bleed the Future.”

The album is accompanied by a concept developed by Aleron that begs the question: What happens when humans start giving birth to non-humans? Born from a weird dream the vocalist had, Bleed the Future’s concept does not have finality or a conclusion. It does, however, posit a few ethical dilemmas to ties into Archspire’s long-running science fiction themes.

“I thought about what if those things they were giving birth to could actually benefit them in the future so they wouldn’t want to reject them,” says Aleron. “What would happen to the humans that weren’t born? Would they go to a different dimension? I played with that whole idea because I hadn’t seen a horror movie where that was the theme. It worked for all the songs. The only social commentary is that people don’t know what they’re giving birth to — if you put someone on this planet, you don’t know whether they’re going to be good or evil.”

Bleed the Future was recorded in October and November 2020 at Flatline Audio in Colorado with producer/engineer Dave Otero. This was the second consecutive album the band worked with Otero. According to Morelli, the recording process was seamless. “Dave was already familiar with what we each can do individually,” he says. “This time, he was more prepared to tackle those elements. How he tracks was more focused on what we were capable of and I think it really shows here.”

As live show activity for 2021 hangs in the balance (Archspire currently has dates lined up for November), the pandemic has prompted many bands to re-think their new album release dates as well as how to stay visible in a world currently without touring. But, with a fanbase that has embraced the band’s online presence that includes playthroughs, tutorials and now, cooking shows (!), Archspire heads into the Bleed the Future album cycle the benefactors of their commitment to touring and, most of all, position as one of death metal’s most forward-thinking bands.

“We have a lot of awesome fans, so I think they’ll be there to support us and pick up the album because they like the music,” says Lamb. “We’re a self-managed band; we’ve been working with the same label for ten years and I think the outcome will be good. Would it had been better if we had been on a full North American tour starting a week before the album release? Sure, but I think people will come out and support us through other means. As soon as we’re ready to go back on tour and everybody is safe to do so, we’ll be out there.”
